I think they have excellent customer service because my friend referred them and received a discount as a result. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: Terminix sprays my home for insects four times a year. They came out when I happen to see bugs running around my house. I have a one year contract with Terminix which includes treatment four times a year plus any extra treatment for bugs that may be roaming about.

They come when they say they will. They are very punctual and they automatically set up the appointments. The price might be a little more than other companies, but you pay more for what you get. They do their job, but sometimes you might have to call them to go back out. They always come right back out and they don't charge us anything extra. We have been using them for 13 years now.
Description of Work: They come on a quarterly basis to spray the outside of our house. They spray for all types of pests, but last time they were out we asked them to specifically spray for ants. We have 2. 5 acres of land and our house is about 7000 square feet.

Any time that I have a problem with pests, they come right out. We have a quarterly contract with them and there are never any problems. They are always friendly, on time, and they answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They got rid of the roaches, which made me happy. They always call in advance and send something by mail to remind you when it is time for them to come again. Once you sign a contract with them, they take care of everything.
Description of Work: They come once a month and spray the inside and outside of our four bedroom home, which is about 1800 square feet. We have a yearly contract with them. The last time they were out, I had them spray specifically for roaches.

They are very good about showing up on time and the technician is one that takes a lot of pride his job. I found everyone that I had worked with was friendly. After awhile, I felt like the technician that came out became like family to me.

I am happy with Terminix. They prevent termites and that's what I need them to do. I have yet to see one of those little critters so I can't say anything bad about them. They are easy to deal with, friendly and affordable.
Description of Work: I bought a yearly service agreement with Terminix. They spray my home inside and outside several times a year or as needed if I am to find a termite anywhere.

They've always handled everything with professionalism and courtesy. They are easy to contact and very responsive to any of my requests. The price is good. I know their work is high quality because I never see any bugs.

The work was done very well, but they just kept increasing the price. The thing that really bothered me was that they would make these increases without give me any advanced notice.

By being a national company, they provide a very professional and educated approach in their pest control services. I am quite pleased with the service provider as he completed a thorough inspection. He arrived as scheduled.

Terminix was supposed to notify me of date and time of monthly bait-station termite inspections so I could contain my pet. They repeatedly failed to keep these appointments, often showing up a day or so later only to leave a note: ''Service not performed. Animals in yard.'' This happened in spite of repeated complaints to both local and corporate offices. When they sent me invoices to ''renew termite contract''. I declined, however, the paid-up Pest control contract did not expire until mid-November 2006. A serviceman performed what Terminix had previously notified me was to be a ''regularly-scheduled service'' on Nov. 1, 2006. However, I was charged an additional $84.60. I complained, and Terminix stated my contract ''called for automatic renewal.'' I said, ''My original contract hasn't expired. I already refused to renew the other contact. I was going to cancel this one prior to end-date.'' Too bad! I owed them for $84.60 for unwanted, unordered services!
Description of Work: Purchased 2-year contract for termite protection. Later took out additional 1 year contract for outside pest control.

Our local Terminix guy does a pretty good job, seems to keep things under control. My one and only complaint, and it is a small one, is that they don't seem to be able to remember that we have a fixed time for appointment. We have a specific time each week that works for us. Every time they call with a reminder, it's the wrong day, and they say "oh, yeah, I see that right here!" But the work is done well, and they are are really good about always checking for any special problems. Plus they don't give a hard sell for additional services.

POOR. TERMINEX NEVER CAME INTO MY HOUSE TO SPRAY FOR BUGS EVEN THOUGH REQUESTED. SPRAYED OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE FOUR MONTHS AFTER END OF CONTRACT AND THEN BILL ME AN ADDITIONAL $94.00. I CALLED TO DISCUSS THE CHARGES AND WAS TOLD A MANAGER WOULD RETURN MY CALL. NO MANAGER OR ANYONE ELSE WOULD RETURN MY CALL. I WAS TOLD THREE ADDITIONAL TIMES OVER THE NEXT SIX WEEKS THAT A MANAGER WOULD RETURN MY CALL. NO MANAGER EVERY RETURNED MY CALL. THIS IS PLOY THAT TERMINEX USES. AFTER NON-PAYMENT, TERMINEX TURNED MY ACCOUNT OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY.

We have used Terminix for several years for pest control maintenance. They come out every quarter and any other time we have a problem. We had one technician for over a year, who was very conscientious and extremely thorough, but they recently switched us to a new technician, we don't know as well yet. They are sometimes slower to come out, after rainy days when everyone has problems with ants.

Carl Thigpen is the new owner of the company. He has prior experience with another company he owns in the same field. Provided professional work and made sure that the work was done correctly. UPDATE: The company has taken steps over time to greatly increase its responsiveness, quality of work etc. Terminex is quite competitive price wise and the work man who shows up is always polite and professional. They now have email alerts that let you know that a ticket was generated for follow up treatments and I actually have inspections now each year for follow up to the termite treatment along with certification sent to the house within a couple of weeks.
Description of Work: Original work was pest control inside and around outside of house. I recognized the termite problem prior to their arrival and they provided the termite extermination as well. The cost for the original work was based on the Star Telegram Auction held spring of 2006. The $1190, I paid was for the termite treatments. Terminex bought the company a few months later. over the span quality has really tanked. I have more bugs, spiders and ants than ever before. I finally had to start taking steps myself for the ants (not fire ants, they stay in the yard). the service is always scheduled without consulting with me so I am never home. whenever I try to reschedule they still show up on the original schedule and not the new one. seems the tech is not doing anything when here except hanging a bill on the door. I have not had or seen any recurrence of the termites though. UPDATE: The company has taken steps over time to greatly increase its responsiveness, quality of work etc.

Salesman was friendly and knowledgeable. The exterminator came at the appointed time, and completed his work in just over an hour, which included drilling into the foundation.

Poor. Communication is terrible, in the company, and with customers. On one occasion, three inspectors gave three opinions (in three weeks) about whether we had termite activity and damage. They did retreat on one occasion (boring holes in the walls, that we had to later repair), but denied liability for damage. Periodic inspections weren't always thoroughly carried out (they have the combination for back gate, but don't always go in there).
Description of Work: Termite plan (1 year) install termite baiting stations, check stations quarterly, and inspect house for damage or activity only on request.

TERMINIX INSTALLED OUR SENTRICON SYSTEM ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO, AND CONTINUES TO MONITOR THE SYSTEM QUARTERLY, OR MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN TERMITE ACTIVITY IS IDENTIFIED. THE SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE WORKING WELL (AT LEAST WE HAVEN'T SEEN ANY TERMITES). CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS IMPROVED OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. THE SERVICE IS EXPENSIVE, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING WE ONLY GET QUARTERLY VISITS (THAT'S OVER $110 PER VISIT!) WE DON'T FEEL LIKE WE'RE GETTING OUR MONEY'S WORTH, BUT NOW THAT THE SYSTEM IS INSTALLED IT WOULD BE A GREATER HASSLE TO REMOVE IT, HAVE ANOTHER COMPANY INSTALL A NEW SYSTEM, AND WE'D STILL PROBABLY BE OVER-CHARGED FOR THE SERVICE. SO WE'RE BASICALLY ''OVER A BARREL'' WITH TERMINIX. IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING A SENTRICON SYSTEM, SHOP AROUND.
