Terminix - Richardson -Termite & Pest Control

I don't know if this is the same branch of Terminex that we used but here is our story about our experience with the company. We saw small flying insects in our master bath and called them to come give an opinion and an estimate. They said we had termites so we signed a contract to have the work done. Several weeks later we were still seeing the insects. We tried calling the salesman but he would not return our calls but they kept billing us. We called several additional times but no return calls. We finally stopped paying the bill. Of course the billing department started calling. Each time we told them our story and they said they would have someone call us to resolve the matter. It never happened. They finally stopped billing us but we are out hundreds of dollars. The only consultation is I guess we won't get termites now. We continued to see the flying insects so we called another company, they came out, explained what the difference between what we had and termites was. Treated the house, end of story.

I don't like them that much and I keep wanting to switch to somebody else but I'm too lazy to do it. They just show up and they don't tell you they're coming. Their pricing is reasonable.

Back in December 2012, I had a groupon for this company. I had them out, signed up for a years service gave them my credit card. They were suppose to come back and do the service in Jan. No one showed up, so in Feb I called them. Come to find out that the service never was put through. So the salesman came back out and we did it again. Gave them my credit card again, did a years worth of treatments. The other day they came to do their quarterly service and then I get a bill from them. I called this morning and was told I did not have a yearly contract, even though my paperwork said I did. She said I was only billed the quarterly maint in Feb. I am cancelling the service, I can't handle a company that doesn't do what the customer wants. Twice and I still dont' have a yearly contract. I'll go with someone else.

TERMINIX CAME TO MY HOUSE, ALONG WITH THE NEXT-DOOR NEIGHBOR (SSHE WAS INSTIGATING THE OPERATION, AS SHE HAD FOUND EVIDENCE OF TERMITES BETWEEN OUR HOUSES, WHICH ARE CONNECTED). I BELIEVE TERMINIX PERFORMED SOME MINIMAL OPERATION, THEN SAID THEY WOULD RETURN IN A FEW DAYS TO DIG THE DITCH AND INSTALL ANTI-TERMITE CHEMICALS, THEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO THE OPERATION THAT VERY DAY. THEY WERE PAID, BUT THE AGREED OPERATION WAS NOT PERFORMED. TERMINIX HAS SENT ME LETTERS TO RENEW MY PROTECTION, BUT I WILL NOT TRUST THEM AGAIN.

They are doing a good job and I haven’t been seeing any bugs. They call ahead to let me know when their on their out.

Our experience was with the location in Plano. We paid them a monthly fee for pest control services over a period of a year and a half. On all except one occasion, they showed up on time; however, one time they never showed up and I had to call them and had no record of my appointment. Our technician was professional and courteous. Our main issue was that they never seemed to solve our pest problem the first time. I often had to call them back out two or three times to get rid of a specific bug we were having trouble with. Also, they say they check the perimeter of our house for ants and other pests, but we consistently had wasp nests and ant piles in our yard that they didn't treat unless asked to do so.

We've been using them for a while now. They always do what you ask and they don't charge to come back and fix any problems.

Contacted for a termite inspection and treatment. Technician never showed up. An hour and 2 phone calls later I was finally told that the appointment was made but never assigned to a technician, the operator seemed to expect me to suggest a solution. 3 hours lost waiting for nothing.

They were professional and very courteous. We have been real happy with them.

Our home has been kept pest-free for about 25 years using Terminix. The quarterly service was always performed as scheduled, with only a reminder ahead of time to make our home accessible and restrain our pets. On the occasions when we (or they) would discover a new pest problem--field mice moving in, or an overabundance of spiders in the yard--they would suggest treatments, and perform them at no additional cost. Service technicians were professional, unobtrusive, and polite. Would definitely use again.

Very thorough company. I believe the prices were a little high, however they were very thorough. I will consider this company when I need to exterminate for the termites.

Edwin came out to do the treatment. I was very satisfied with the service. After the treatment I didn't have the sugar ants. When he was out he treated and left preventative traps for the pest. I have used their service for quite some time, but find it discouraging trying to get ahold of a live person or local representative other than the dispatcher.

They were great! They are professional, on time, and dependable The treatments are very effective.

I'd like to begin by expressing our appreciation for our usual technician, James Chandler. He is polite, charming, respectful, and punctual. We have maintained the contract as long as we have because he is a wonderful person to work with. However, each of us has our breaking points. My judgement for any subscription service is that it be effective, and that scheduling work with my personal schedule, since access to the inside of my home is necessary. Terminix has so substantially fallen down on the latter point to be untenable, and the reason we have terminated our service contracts. When we first assumed the contract, all scheduling was handled by an individual. Any preferences or conflicts were handled by a person, and were followed up with a confirmation that Terminix abided by. Because we both work M-F, we expressed early on a preference for Saturday service. This has never been adhered to. When I called and spoke with anyone, the schedule was promptly corrected and James would arrive on time on the rescheduled date. This was a situation that was mildly irritating, but we could live with it. Once the scheduling system was fully automated, corrections were spotty at best. Somehow it was entirely the customer's responsibility to check their webpage often to ensure the schedule was as desired, even after revisions were made. Often, schedules were changed, but the technician was sent on the wrong day, and not on the correct day.Sometimes we'd wait at home and no one would show. Finally with our last appointment, the substitute technician (James was on vacation) showed an hour early on a Saturday because he was trying to "beat the heat." I personally work outside in all weather, all year, and this is unacceptable. People have schedules. This is why we make appointments. When appointments are made, that schedule needs to be adhered to, especially since it is usually on a day off. Naturally, we were out running errands at the time, and only the outdoor portion was done. We will, of course, be billed as if the indoor portion was made. We can no longer subscribe to a service for which we pay over $500. annually and must perpetually scramble to ensure arrives when we can actually be at home, and will show at the hour for which the service was scheduled. With many regrets to James, we are terminating service.

I would use their services again in the future.

They will come out in between services at no charge if there are ever any issues.

So far, their services have been fine.

We got so mad at them for their services that were performed in September, but we didn't.

Terminix will be coming to my home every quarter for service. We have had some bees come back around so I may need to have them come back out again. One person came out to the house to evaluate, take a look around, call in the details and let me know what to expect and then someone else came back the same day to spray.

Used their service for over 2 years now. So far they've been pretty reliable and I like to see the description on the door of the services they performed while we were away. This last time I wanted to be here as it was suggested they also do an interior inspection. However, no one showed up during the 2-hour timeframe so I called a few days later and they said he was there 2 hours before the scheduled window and left the property 4 minutes later. Ahem...4 minutes to inspect the entire perimeter for possible termite infestation? Seems a bit short, almost like he parked in front, took a visual from the truck and then left. Not that I suspect any termites but still...for $265 I expect a bit more time and attention to detail. Maybe their records are off and he stayed longer and just didn't log it properly, but still I like to see what chemicals were used and where he inspected. Thinking of cancelling service but on the other hand we have seen very few bugs, so hopefully just an anomaly.

They are punctual and are responsive. The prices are okay.

The estimate that they gave us is almost the same as the others but chose to go with Terminix because of their reputation. The other company is a little cheaper, but I don't know anything about them, I look at the reviews and decided to go with the name brand.

We've never had any complaints about them. We pay $101 quarterly for the bug service and $360 annually for the termite coverage. They always do what we ask and they don't jerk us around. We don't have any problems with them.

I have been with them for years and they do a great job.

They were a different company, and terminix bought them. We got a really deal. They have come out a couple of times and we have been happy with them. They come out every three month and spray. I will continue to use them.
