I needed a large space covered in ceramic tile. Arturo and his crew first had to remove about 1000 sq.ft. of old linoleum and sections of old tile. Then, they were able to start tiling. The project only took 5 days complete, it was completed on time. Arturo also includes moving furniture and appliances out of the way at no cost. Arturo let us have colored grout at no cost. All other floor companies would bill for these extras.

Even though the language barrier is present we were able to communicate with selected few. They did accommodate late requests. The job ran little longer than scheduled but it is expected. Overall a very good result and we were impressed.

They came out with a pleasing pattern from tiles that I selected and they were just fantastic. They did it quickly, quietly and neatly.

They did a great job. They were on time and were kind and helpful.

We could not have asked for a better experience. The first meeting with owner of Meras proved to be all I needed to know that they were the company I would choose. He listened to what I wanted and not what he thought would be better for us. Every question we asked was answered thoroughly and with explaination if required. They were courteous, effeicient and made sure that the house was protected against any damage that could occur.

Arturo arrived promptly for the estimate meeting. He was very polite and easy to talk to. He was able to explain the process easily...this was on a Wednesday. The best part was that they could start the next day and the entire project was complete the day after. Everyone was neat and courteous. I work from home and felt very comfortable at all times. They were very clean and kept everything picked up. The work cost exactly what was estimated, was completed quickly, efficiently and neatly. It looks AWESOME! I have plans to remodel my master bathroom in the future and will absolutely use this organization again! I'd recommend them to any Angies List consumer with this type of project.

We had approximately 600 sq. ft of tile placed in our living room where there used to be carpet. The job had a few unexpected complications. Some of the previous work wasn't done properly and had some cracking on the surface. Also, one of our exterior walls was leaking and had caused some damage to the wall and support beams. Some of the base boards needed replacing as well as some cracking in the drywall. He took care of all of this at a very reasonable rate. Never during the whole process did I feel like he was gouging me, and believe me, he had plenty of opportunity to with some of the extra labor we incurred in making this job right. One of the biggest challenges of this job was getting the original subfloor level. There was a 5" difference from one side of the room to the other!! They had to use 35 bags of cement to level! My wife had a baby while all of this was going on, and Arturo and his workers were very good about working around our schedule to make sure and not disturb the napping hours. All-in-all, I've never had a contractor I've felt so comfortable with in doing a high quality job at such a reasonable price. Thanks again Arturo to you and your workers fo a job well done!

I found Arturo on Angie's List and he came and gave me a quote and some ideas. When I was ready, I contacted him for a start date and he was at my house at 8:30 AM! He and his guys worked quickly and checked in with me when questions arose. I had removed all the furnishings from the bathroom so it was ready to start work. After prepping the space on the first day they tiled the next two days. I was very pleased with each days work. On the 4th day, they grouted the tile and then came back the next day to seal the grout. They also raised the shower head 6 inches which really adds value to an old house. They reinstalled my toilet and vanity and even recommended a shower door company. Overall I am extremely pleased with the work and looking forward to using my new bathroom!

Arturo came by to look at my project. He called to let me know he was having computer problems and couldn't email me estimate and would be hand delivering my estimate. I never received the estimate or heard back from Arturo. I chose another contractor.

The crew showed up on time and worked consistently, cleaning up everyday until the work was finished. Some plumbing problems were found and promptly addressed. Mr. Meras was responsive and professional in all our dealings.

Communication with Arturo was excellent from the very beginning. His clarity and genuine courtesy won the contract. Everyone who entered our home was respectful and as neat as possible, whether it was during demolition or while moving back and forth, inside and out, to cut the tile for custom fitting. Arturo worked with us to find the plumbing fixtures we wanted, taking time to accompany us to the supplier. He also spent several hours working with us to select the tile we wanted, traveling with us to the outlet and working with us patiently as we made our decisions. As with any large project, unanticipated challenges arose. At one point the shipment of our plumbing fixtures was delayed by storms in the Memphis area, but at all times, because communication was clear and frequent, the delays and disruptions were minimal, and we always felt the commitment service was exceptional. The work took a little over a month altogether, a time-frame that would have moved much more quickly had we allowed Arturo and his crews to work over the weekend and longer into the evenings. We requested that the process be slowed so that we could have more time to ourselves in our small home. Once the tiling and plumbing was completed, all the tile in the house was sealed, included that on the kitchen and bathroom floors which had been neglected when the house was flipped, wall paint was retouched, baseboard was replaced, and final cleaning of the tile was executed. We are perhaps most grateful for the assistance Arturo provided when he helped us to locate good shower doors for much less than expected, and his willingness to negotiate with the company selling plumbing fixtures for a reasonable price. In the end, we are very satisfied, and we will ask Arturo to do the remaining tile and masonry work that we have to do on the house.

They returned my intial call withing a few hours and visited the site the same day. The proposal was reasonable given that the job was small and they were taking over a project that was begun by another. They placed the tile the following day and installed the grout the next. The job was left clean and neat. I am referring this company to a co-worker who is remodeling a bathroom. These folks do quality work and are good communicators.

They have a great communication via e-mail. Their timing is great.

Meras Tile & Design did an excellent job in our bathroom! The shower and floor were tiled with precision and perfectionism. It looks fabulous! They also did an excellent job in our laundry room tiling the floor and the glass tile backsplash. They were prompt, clean, diligent and very professional. I would highly recommend them! In fact, I am remodeling three more bathrooms and intend to use them again!

We just completed a kitchen updating that included a new granite counter-top and glass tile backsplash installation. Different contractors were used for each of the projects, so I will post separate reviews. The glass tile backsplash was expertly done by Super Tile International (STI). We had 3 estimates for the project and actually went with the most expensive, mainly because of 2 reasons: (1) we believed STI?s estimate to be the most realistic and accurate, and (2) they were recommended by the tile supplier, Walker Zanger, as being especially good at glass tile installation, which apparently has nuances to it that make it trickier than regular ceramic/porcelain tile installation. As expensive as our glass tiles were, we really didn?t want somebody messing this up. Arturo Meras of STI arrived punctually to assess the job and prepare an estimate. He also provided some helpful tips and advice about the project, as well as a future bathroom project we are considering. Later that night he emailed the estimate to us, and within a few days we decided to go with it, being impressed by his professionalism and the ease of communicating and exchanging ideas with him. The glass tile backsplash installation took approximately a day and a half and was done by 2 of Arturo?s employees (he was there at the beginning of the work). We were impressed not only with the quality of their craftsmanship, but also with how quietly and neatly they performed the work. I?m not sure how STI normally handles the payment process but, since we wanted to charge the tile to a credit card, we bought the tile directly from Walker Zanger (at STI?s discounted price), and then paid STI their installation fee upon completion of the work. The project cost shown above is the total of materials plus installation. The backsplash looks amazing and the entire experience was painless ? probably the best compliment I can give about a remodeling project. We whole-heartedly recommend STI.
