The service was great, the workmanship was excellent, the fence has a nice uniform appearance and has served its purpose of reinforcing the fence nicely. it now looks like part of the fence. The work was done nicely.

Jim handled my call, explained to me the details of their services. Sean came out and did the work and did an excellent job. Besides fixing my fence post and some minor repairs, he took a look around the property and gave me some advice, which I really appreciate. I plan on using Artisan again - fair price, fair dealing.

Artisan was a joy to work with. My first communication was with Jimmy in the office. He did a great job of comprehending the projects that needed to be done and provided a very realistic idea of scope, time and cost. On the scheduled day the project was to be done, Mike and Sean arrived on time and immediately got to work assessing what needed to be done and whether any materials not provided were required. They were able to think creatively to come up with an expedient and cost effective way to repair the pool fence while making it aesthetically pleasing (reusing old lumber). They did the same for the garage trim repair. I was impressed and the final product looks great! I will most definitely contact Artisan again. They are top notch!

Artisans Home Repair did an excellent job. They repaired a fence gate (human,, non-motorized) so that it now opens and shuts correctly. Had to replace/reseat the latch; repair some boards on the gate; and cut/trim the bottom of the gate.

We purchased a "big deal" from provider that was for " Gutter Cleaning unlimited square footage for 149.00", but when we spoke with them to set up appointment they were going to charge 5 dollars per trash bag and extra money, because we had a two story house, which we didn't understand when purchasing the big deal. They were understanding about it and told us they would contact Angie's List to refund our money.

Jimmy, the company owner, was WONDERFUL. The individual carpenter we worked with (who is no longer with the company) was lousy. Work went slowly, always behind schedule, and several things weren't done correctly. Jimmy worked very hard to get us straightened out and get things done right in the end, and I'm happy enough with how the finished work looks, but still can't unfortunately recommend the company.

Great. I purchased a deal offered through Angie's List for this service. Jimmy called the Monday after I purchased the deal (I had purchased it on a Friday) to schedule a time for the service. We arranged a time. Jimmy called a day ahead to confirm. The service technician arrived on time and performed the work, including clearing debris. There was confusion at the end because the technician did not know that I had prepaid for the work, but I showed him a printout of my receipt, and he was quick to apologize and confirm that we were all paid up. I felt that we got a good value for the service, given that our house is quite large and the work took slightly more than 2 hours to complete.

It went very well. These guys are pros and they don't waste time. You get your money's worth. He came out and patched up my fence, reattached the grill over the oven, reattached my screen door in the front and helped me fix a few other things. I got more than my money's worth, and we got done early.

He did a good job replacing some pickets in my fence. Removal of the old pickets would have been an added cost though, so I said I would handle that. Otherwise satisfied with the deal, I would consider using them again in the future.

The 2 people, Sara and Josh, I think, arrived about 5 minutes early...was fine with me. They introduced themselves and asked me to show them what work I needed done. He explained the cost, etc...Josh marked all of the drawers/cabinets and he and Sara attached the pulls. Josh had to go to get some wood panels for my fence and while he was gone, Sara continued with the kitchen. Josh timed it perfect. No time was wasted. I asked about painting one of my walls with chalkboard paint and he explained the process. He was honest with me. I'm thinking about what I want, but, I WILL DEFINITELY USE them again. Thank you. By the way, they enjoy their job...it shows.

The initial bid was one day for $475 plus parts. After the first day, the job was half done and we had a $1200 labor bill, with no warning that the estimate had been overrun, other than a phone call that the contractor was going to drive all over town to look for parts, which I asked him not to call instead. The second day the bill had increased to another $1550 for labor, also overrunning the revised second-day estimate, also without warning. We complained that now warning was given on either day that the estimate had been breached. The complaint earned us a revised, somewhat lower bill, but was still multiples higher than the initial estimate. The work looks to be of acceptable quality, though the contractors washed their brushes on the center of our lawn, staining it with primer. The estimate process was easy -- I sent Artisan pictures of the damage to be repaired, a manager drew up an estimate quickly... The estimate, however wasn't even close to the actual bill.

They came out and did the job for the price quoted. They were prompt, worked hard and finished the job in a timely manner.

Water heater hot connector had burst the previous week, I managed to fix the plumbing but not before the water damaged the particle board stand the previous homeowner used. Water heater was tilted pretty significantly and I didn't trust the wood to not disintegrate suddenly in the middle of the night. Called Artisans to get a more permanent fix for the stand. Sean and Mike showed up on time and got right to work. The original plan was to tear out the wooden structure and replace it with a steel one, but after they got started, they discovered it would work just as well to replace the rotten particle board with good 3/4 plywood and reinforce the wood structure, as a support had fallen out. Saved some time and money on the repair and the stand is plenty solid now. Sean also swapped the crappy broken plastic drain valve for a good brass one and they put a drip pan under the heater to prevent a repeat of this disaster. All in all, I'm very happy with the work they did and I can rest easy knowing the water heater isn't going to fall over. I'm a little tired of needing professionals come to my house to fix what the previous owner and cheap builder did, but I'm glad Artisans has the pros to fix those mistakes the right way.

Communication was timely and honest, and a technician was able to come out to the house within three days of my contacting them through their website. Since the area needing repair was just disconnected and the wood was not rotting or severely damaged, he was able to resecure it all with some screws and nails and seal everything with fresh caulking. I would use this company again for home repairs.

They quickly called me to set up an appointment to have my gutters cleaned. The technician showed up promptly, on time and ready to work. I had several gutters that were pulling away from the house and needed repair and had anticipated that they would be able to repair as well as clean the gutters. That was not the case. I had to ask them to clean the gutters along the garage, which he forgot to do. He said that he could not repair the gutters. The cleaning cost an additional $95.00 on top of the original $99.00 contract price.

Overall the experience was a good one. Before the carpenter arrived they had requested pictures of the door to determine what, if any, parts would be needed. The wood piece that the deadbolt and door handle go into had to be replaced and they brought that piece with them (based off the images requested). The only issue, and it's not really an "issue" was the price. I thought they were a little high (I believe it was $150, or $175 for the first hour), but they were able to respond quickly, and speed was my #1 issue since I could not secure my door with the damage.

I live in California, but own a rental property just outside of Dallas, TX. Arranging repairs out of state has proven to be a very challenging task at times. However, after reading the reviews on Angie's List, I decided to contact Artisans Home Repair. I was able to send pictures of the damaged door jamb and described the other items that needed attention, so we were able to get the estimate completed over e-mail. The repairs were scheduled for Monday, June 10, but my tenant's wife unexpectedly went into Labor over that weekend, so we had to reschedule at the last minute. Atrisans Home Repair was VERY understanding and rescheduled without any issues. The repairs were done in a very timely manner and the technician showed the utmost respect for my tenants. I am completely satisfied with all aspects of this repair and I would not hesitate to contact Atrisnas Home Repair for any future work I would need done.

We asked Artisans Home Repair to come out and raise our cabinets in our washroom but as it turned out they discovered that they were high enough to fit out washer & dryer set with the drawers on them (I think his name was Jimmy but not sure, forgot his helpers name). So having two very capable carpenters in our house we decided to have them do other stuff. So on the fly they were happy to build us a booster TV stand for the TV in our master bedroom and nicely wrapped it with carpet from a spare bolt leftover from re-carpeting our house. Then, my wife got a bright idea that she wanted our new gondola to have transparent plastic tile panels installed on the roof so we can sit out on our patio in light rain so they went to the hardware store, got the panels and the hardware needed and did the install. Just when they were about to pack up I asked him to have a look at our new TV stand in the living room because the brand new TV sitting on it was about to fall off and he custom made and stained a bracket for the arm to clamp the TV to the stand. Furthermore, after making many trips out our French doors in the back of the house to get things out of his truck he noticed that there was a busted trim on the door and he replaced that as well and I don't think they even charged me for that. Overall, excellent job guys and I will call again

Spoke with Jimmy on a Friday on the phone and gave him an overview of everything I needed done. He talked to me about what Artisans was all about and provided an time estimate for all my work and was able to get me scheduled for the following Monday. Sean arrived exactly on time and I walked him through everything that needed done. He made a quick trip to Home Depot to get all the necessary supplies for the repairs and got to work. He knocked out the big two jobs quickly and I was able to have him help a little on my big bathroom remodel project by helping get some new drywall up. Everything was professionally done and I was kept informed throughout the entire project. I'm very much a DIYer, but some tasks are beyond my skills, time, and tools. Artisans helps make those problems go away at very reasonable and affordable prices. I couldn't be happier with the work. I'll definitely be giving them a call in the future!

It went well. They were very professional in their email and phone communications and even followed up at my request to bid out a larger project with great detail. Recommended that I might want to use another vendor if the project got too big since they focus on the handy man space. Loved the interaction.

It went very well. They did what I asked them to do and did a good job. I will hire them again and I have referred them to others. I thought the price was a bit on the high side, but well worth it. The job got done when they said it would get done, I didn't have any unpleasant surprises and their guys were courtious and professional. The best part was that I could communicate with them and had confidence that they understood what I wanted and were capable of delivering it.
