I was very impressed with Jimmy. He is very responsive and professional. We had a couple of problems on the original day of the work. When they built the section of fence, they did not match the style of fencing to that of the existing fence. They also had to guess at the stain color and were WAY off. I told Jimmy the issue that night and he immediately apologized and scheduled his guy to come out and fix the problem. When they did the work for the 2nd time, they only charged me the difference in the cost of the stain which was about $4.00. I've worked with a lot of contractors/handymen over the years and they were by far the most professional. I've never had someone fix a problem so efficiently and fairly. Not only do other contractors baulk at fixing their own mistakes, they usually want to charge you for it!! These guys are great and I plan on using them in the future.

I called about noon to schedule an appointment. The company had a crew available the same day. They arrived on time and were finished in about an hour. The two young men who provided the service were very professional and exceptionally enthusiastic. I was delighted by the service. I cannot recommend too highly.

Artisans Home Repair was great to work with. We had an investment property that sold and had 41 items to be repaired per the inspector's report. More than a third of those items were for a handyman. I called Artisans Home Repair and spoke with Jimmy. Told him the nature and scope of the work to be done. I emailed him the list of needed repairs with pictures where available. Jimmy quoted the job on the high side, but advised it would likely be much cheaper once the workmen were on site to do the work. He was correct. It ended up costing less than half of what he quoted. Jimmy was able to have a crew of two out within days and the work completed in two days. The work included: removing and replacing attic pull down stairs, and drywalling and texturizing area surrounding new frame and trim; fixing phone jack in kitchen; adjusting and lubricating sliding glass door; reattaching exhaust pipe for gas dryer; reattaching and sealing exterior dryer vent; installing rod clip on sink; installing new stopper on sink; repairing vinyl soffit in two places; repairing and texturing hole in drywall in garage; repairing hole under sink with luan paneling and filling gaps with foam to prevent pest entry; removing and replacing broken purlin in attic; securing loose wires on exterior of home to code specifications. Also, the crew checked on four items that were on the inspector's report as needing repair. In two cases they advised, the inspector was incorrect: 1) in requiring conduit on coaxial cables, and 2) in requiring additional ventilation on a hot water heater closet that had proper ventilation. Also they were unable to locate any damage to two items in the report. Materials for the job alone were $375. Artisan did the work efficiently, professionally, and at a great price. Jimmy kept me updated on problems and progress by telephone. They was a big job made extremely easy for me to manage.

The entire experience, from the initial responses through the completion of the job was great. Jimmy called and spoke with me to give me a verbal estimate and we were able to schedule someone to come out quickly. When David arrived, he reviewed all the areas we needed done and quickly got to work. We're thrilled with the quality of the word and everyone was fantastic to work with.

Worst experience ever. First of all, I was quoted a price of $925 and I was billed $1089. I had gutter downspouts attached to the previous columns and when Artisan came out May 3, 4, and 5the, they drilled several new holes in the downspouts each day to reattach. When I emailed the owner, he sent someone to my home without my permission to reattach the gutter again, this time improperly. They thought they were helping when in fact it looks worse than ever and now I have even more holes in the gutter downspouts. I have attached a picture of the downspout reattachment, so everyone can see the job that was done. The owner, Jimmy, is now harassing me with length emails stating how he has done the right thing. You look at the picture and tell me how nice it looks?

My garage ceiling was starting to cave in due to the previous owner leaving left over ceramic tile and wood fence material in the attic on the drywall. I called Artisans Home Repair because I had used them in the past to lift a couple of my doors up in my house and they did an exceptionally great job. I sent Jimmy some photos of the issue and he sent two of his guys out to fix the drywall and add decking to the area that the material was to be stored. Jimmy saved me a great deal of money by allowing his "apprentices" to do the job versus a technician and they worked quickly as well as efficiently including the travel to Home Depot. They also cleaned up really well. The only thing that I did not like was that the guys were smoking in my garage as we were discussing the job and I cannot stand smoke. I finally decided to make that clear to them as I expected they would have put it out as they got out of their van, and they respectfully put them out and apologized. Jimmy runs his business well and ensures that his customers are happy with the work. He also takes great care in keeping up his reputation with the techs that he sends out and their punctuality. It couldn't have gone better. They came when they said they would, were professional in their attitude and work. Hosed off my front walk as there was a lot of debris from the front gutters. Great job - I'll use them again!

Sometimes the best service is no service at all. I left a message earlier today regarding a need repair to my shower door, and within a couple of hours Jimmy had called me back. He outlined that my best option for repair was a different provider, because of the unique, custom nature of the parts involved. I was very impressed and pleased with such forthrightness, and plan to reward it with future work that will be better suited to Artisans.

Great response, prompt excellent service. There are so many handyman services with good reviews, this one stood out because they actually take the time to thank their customers via Angie's List which is an extra step, very customer service oriented operation. The handyman that came to the house was prompt, nice, helpful, very professional and did an excellent job in a short amount of time. He also went to my neighbors house to help with a issue he had had for sometime, several other handymen had "tried" to fix his door and could not, this gentleman did...great overall service from start to finish with "extra steps"!!

All went well and we are happy to recommend this contractor.

Several ways to fix the problem were considered and he came up with a good way that was less expensive that others, and it worked fine.

Initially lured by $99 whole guttter clean, but knew it would cost a little more with the additional work I was requesting. Gutters had not been cleaned since at least last summer when house was purchased, but probably more like 2 years. I was told there woud be 2 workers and given and estimate of 4 hours which would have added up to about $450. I agreed. Only one worker was available for the 1st half of job. Supposedly I was charged less for one worker, but not sure if that made up for the extra time it took to finish job. The guys working on the job were young, they were nice and worked hard, but I found myself helping them troubleshoot fixing the clog. In the end the clog was remedied and the leaves were hauled away. So I'm happy with that. There was one issue. -- The gutter above the rear sliding door still puddles/drips when it rains. I'm not sure why, but it's not draining properly. . Update: Artisan's sent the guys back to make repairs and correct the leaks above sliding glass door. We had a light rain over weekend and it seemed to be working fine now. I would feel comfortable using them again for future projects.

Did exactly what they told me. Showed up on time and finished the work without delay. Replaced outside facia and soffit boards on an old house. Full day job.

Artisans Home Repair gathered my information for repair of three attic screen vents, developed a production timeline and provided an estimate. Their technician arrived exactly at the agreed upon time, reviewed the assignment with me, gathered the required materials with me as well, and then made the repairs quickly, efficiently and professionally to the provided estimate. This is an outstanding organization with people who know what they are doing all of whom provide excellent, caring, top-of-the-line repair services at a more than fair price. They will be called on again for my next project. Thank you Artisans!

These guys are professionals and craftsmen. We have an old house (built in 1917). They admired the older construction, and knew what to do to take care of the maintenance chores that had to be done. They bill like a professional consulting firm: time and materials, not by the job. I prefer this approach, it's straight-forward. They came in, did the work in a very timely manner, and did a great job. I will use them again.

The guys were prompt and they did meet the quote I was originally given. The fence is definitely repaired, but in one area (near the gate) they replaced a post to improve the sagging gate and it's already starting to sag again in that area less than 2 months later. They also left quite a mess in the yard. They did offer to clean up the concrete and old lumber for an extra $50--but, by comparison, I've used other companies to do the same type of work for around the same price and they took everything with them.

Artisans was very polite and easy to work with. They were very accomodating on my time and did a wonderful job.

Not all Big Deals are good deals.

Had two guys come out to repair remove the old fence post which was extremely hard to get to. It was located directly against the slab of the house and between the underground sprinkler system. The guys had some issues but did resolve them. They worked very very hard and were nice guys. I would use this company again in the future.

It went very well. The workmen were surprisingly quiet (while working in the next room, I was able to make phone calls and concentrate on my job without undue background noise), polite, neat and focused. They went about their jobs steadily and efficiently. On the 2nd day, they were joined by the owner who came over for an inspection, and promptly rolled up his sleeves and jumped in to help get the remaining tasks finished to his satisfaction. Gotta appreciate a boss who is willing and able to get his hands dirty when something needs to get done! The team cleaned up thoroughly after themselves, even hauling the bags of trash into our garage so we didn't have to move them ourselves and stacking the leftover supplies in neat piles. We're very happy with the results.

Jimmy came and did the work himself. He used great care in every aspect of the job and made some great suggestions. I would definitely use him again!

Overall excellent work. Would definitely use again.
