My desk top computer at my office was giving me the dreaded blue screen with an error report. After trying to fix it myself, I sent Chip an e-mail informing him of the problem I was having. Within five minutes, I had a response from Chip. We set an appointment for Tuesday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. Chip was delayed due to traffic and called the office to let me know. He arrived at 10:30 and worked on my computer for several hours. Problems were identified and fixed so that my computer ran smoothly and no more blue screen!!! Chip is very professional and explains what he is doing and why so that we do not incur any unnecessary charges. His hourly rate is very reasonable and we will definitely call him for any future computer needs. Thank you Chip!
Description of Work: After receiving several blue screen and error reports, Chip ran several scans to identify the problem, performed three badly needed updates, and removed unnecessary programs that were slowing down my computer's performance. It is running very smoothly now!

I wanted to find someone that was reliable and would become familiar with my computer and network system. It is important that I would be able to contact them as soon as a problem occurred. I used two services in the past that I was not happy with. They did not return my calls in a timely matter and I was always a little leery about what they did when they left. I never had them come back. With Wise Networks, Chip always returns my calls immediately if he is not available and on several occasions has helped me fix a problem on the phone when our computers were down. Chip made sure all my hardware was up to specs and he called my software company several times to make sure everything was clear. At the end of every service visit, Chip documents everything he does on that day. This makes it clear for him and me what he did for future visits. This made me feel confident that Wise Networks was reliable and the company that I wanted to use from now on for all of my computer and network issues.
Description of Work: I needed to update my hardware and install a new version of my software. Also to set up the network.

One moment everything is fine and then suddenly there is a change. An upload. A new smartphone for the system. Error messages on the computer screen. So we shoot an email to Chip (from the one computer that was still working) and he schedules a time, right away, to come to where we are working and get us back up, running smoothly and all files synchronizing. Typically when it comes to communications technology, as smooth as you want it to go, there are problems and in the most recent visit, the data from one of the databases had corruptions and was affecting other installations. What we thought was easy and less than two hours took 3 times as long and Chip did not dash off to another appointment. He handled the situation, took care of us, finished the system configurations, issues with the network, stayed in touch with others waiting in line for him, and did not overcharge, even though the problems that popped up were unpredictable.
Description of Work: Chip Kowalski provides the level of service and support for computer hardware, software, security, networks and preventive maintenance that we experienced in large, wealthy companies, but rarely find as the head of a smaller business. When Tom and I moved to Texas from Washington, DC, and re-established both of our businesses—one dominated by PCs and the other dominated by Apple technology, we actively searched for someone like Chip, hoping but not really believing we’d find what we both wanted and needed. Our standards are very high and our demands for connectivity and complexity are a bit higher than the average situation where executives set up offices in their homes. Chip has all of the speed and cool of the younger guys and all of the knowledge and customer communications skills you find in professionals who have worked for 20 years. Everyone’s network setup and how they interact with computers, laptops, iPads, printers, routers, smart phones, etc. is different and it takes a big range of experience to provide precise, fast, reasonably-priced and satisfaction-assured service the way Wise Networks does. Currently, Chip is doing it all himself because he’s that good. Before there was Chip in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, we’ve had too many experiences with many different companies where the owner of the company or the “account supervisor” talked a good game, started the account and then handed us over to an low-experience technician to “learn” on us and the cost was very high in terms of down time, waiting time, money and frustration. Chip is seriously interested in your business and your ability to run smoothly, all the time, without worrying about technology. That’s why my husband and I, each with our own enterprises, are glad to show Chip we are interested in his success by telling you our story, here on Angie’s list.
