I contacted Gordon about a month before we were moving and talked to him about the piano, the storage and the fact that I wasn't sure when we would want it back or where it would be going to, as we hadn't bought another house at that time. He was very easy to work with and I felt comfortable with him having my piano. They arrived exactly on time, there were three of them, and they were so careful with the piano and the way they took it apart and wrapped it - I was confident it was in good hands. They stored it from May to October and delivered it back to our new home - were prompt, courteous, professional and did a wonderful job. I hope I never move again - but if I do I will be calling them to move the piano!
Description of Work: I have a Grand Piano that I have had for over 30 years. I found Piano Movers of Texas on Angie's List (where I go for anything and everything) and they were great! We sold our home and didn't have another one yet, so I needed them to pick it up, store it and then redeliver it. At first sight, you may think they are not very professional, but let me tell you - they are the best! They took the piano apart, wrapped and packed it for storage, moved it and did a great job. They stored it for me in climate control warehouse space, redelivered it, and set it up with the same care and professionalism as when they took it. The pricing was fair for all that they did. Gordon Bolton was great to work with, as he was prompt to answer emails and they did everything just as they promised. Gordon's son is one of the movers as well. They are really busy as they work a large area, so you will need to give them plenty of notice. Also be sure to let them know about any steps or stairs or anything that might make the move challenging. I gave them all the information and they gave me a quote, and the charge was exactly what they quoted.

It was easy to set up the appointment and they were very friendly and helpful in answering questions, however, they were about an hour late arriving to pick up. I am not sure what happened, I thought we were the first appointment of the day, but maybe there was someone else in front of us that slowed things down. Delivery went easy otherwise, and he gave me the cash discount price (even though I didn't have cash) to make up for the late pick up.

They came on time, were very nice, and took great care of our grandfather clock and piano. They even asked after they put the furniture where it was, were we happy or did we want it moved somewhere else in the house. They made sure we were happy before they left. They wrapped everything carefully and the piano and clock did very well in the move.

The owner, Gordon Bolton and I exchanged E mails and phone calls a couple of times to coordinate our respective requirements and schedules. Since I was in no hurry and was flexible in scheduling the move it took us nearly three weeks before we were able to come to a date suitable to both of us. He accommodated us on the shared move and a Saturday delivery requirement and I was able to postpone the move to suit his delivery schedule when he was overbooked on a weekend in June. Finally, on the day of the move he came on time with enough early warning, picked up the piano and loaded it and covered it with padding along with other pianos in the trailer. Our piano was delivered the next day, a Saturday, on time and again with an early phone call to inform of the expected arrival.Gordon also gave us our Senior discount as advertised on his page in Angie's ListIt was a pleasure working with Gordon. He was pretty relaxed about payments etc. He wanted me to mail him a payment in any form I preferred only after the delivery was made to my satisfaction. I had checked around and shopped for prices through Angie's List and for an accommodating attitude of the moving company. Some of the quotes I received were as much as 50% higher!!!
Description of Work: Move our Upright Piano from Arlington TX to Austin. On the ground floor at both ends. Keep the price down as much as possible. We were not on any tight schedule or deadline and were prepared to adjust to the mover's schedule so that he could link our move with other moves to the same area. Our only requirement was that it should be delivered on a Saturday to minimize disruption from work obligations

This was a sentimental move of our 40+ year old spinnet piano to our daughter's home 250 miles away. The piano is a low-budget object as far as monetary value, but extremely high in emotional value. We were able to conduct all of the set up for the pick up and delivery via email (my preferred method!) with Gordon responding promptly to every communication. The price was excellent, they did exactly what they said they would do precisely when they said they would do it. The entire process was very responsible and professional. The piano was delivered in perfect condition. Our daughter recorded a video that evening of herself playing her beloved piano and emailed it to us. Are we pleased with the service performed? Delighted probably describes it more aptly. Gordon and crew are a delight to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them during our brief visit.

Piano Movers of Texas, a family business, did an outstanding job properly wrapping, moving, and delivering our 100 year old baby grand piano. The piano moving team was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. The piano was picked up and delivered as scheduled without any problems. The price was quite reasonable. We were able to save a significant amount of money by using the option the company owner offered which was to ship the piano when their truck was already scheduled to deliver other pianos in the same geographic area rather than moving only our piano from Dallas to Round Rock on a certain day. The company has adequate insurance to cover the value of the piano. We are very happy with the work performed. We highly recommend using this company to move pianos in Dallas or in other cities in Texas.

I did not like where my piano was located in my house. I called Gordon and left a message. He called me back within 3 minutes. We agreed he would come by when he was in the area rather than scheduling an exact time. Two days later, he was nearby, he called, I was home, he came by and moved the piano with another employee. The whole thing took 5-10 minutes. Gordon is very personable and I would highly recommend him.

They worked with me on scheduling the move. They usually try to combine trips that way they can offer a discount to members (they will pick up multiple items in one move). The piano was in perfect condition and they handled it with great care. They were very punctual and great to work with. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needed to move a piano.

After emailing them and receiving a quick return email with estimate I called and scheduled the move. They arrived at the original residence at the scheduled time and promptly and carefully loaded the baby grand piano. I then met them at the second residence and they promptly, efficiently and carefully unloaded the piano and placed it in my home. All went quickly and smoothly.

I called them yesterday. They set up a time for today. Because of another job they had, they asked me if I could work with their schedule if possible to do it earlier. I was glad to do it, the change worked for me. They came about 8 am, loaded it and were done. They had asked me how many steps and how many steps at his house. I had everything ready for them, cleaned off, moved out of the way. I am sure that made it much easier. I paid them and they were off. I would absolutly recommed them to everyone. I though the price was reasonable.

Perfect. I filled out the form on the website and received a quote within 24 hours. Gordon and I talked on the phone to firm up the details and arrange the move. He did a great job of keeping me informed and was very pleasant to work with. When he was picking up the piano, my sister commented she was having trouble getting a window open and he took the time to help her. He's a great guy and I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

We were extremely pleased with their service. The three-man crew appeared on time with the equipment (dolly, rolling platform, pads). They wrapped the piano in protective blankets and moved it up the stairs and placed it on the desired wall without incident. Total time required was about 15 minutes. My spouse asked if they were willing to move a cedar "hope chest" from one room to another. This had not been requested before the move. They retrieved the rolling platform and moved the chest cheerfully. (We ended up tipping the crew in addition to the $175 original cost estimate.)

They provided a quote over the phone, and were available for the move within a couple days. They were very friendly and took good care of the piano (and desk, too). They were running late on the day of the move, but gave us a couple hours advance notice and then did arrive at the updated time.
