They did a fantastic job and if we ever move again we will definitely use this company!

Gordon was so wonderful to work with, and his crew was awesome! They got here early (they came from Dallas area), and called before to let us know they were running early, and if it was okay. They were so careful and great to work with! They delivered it to the church it was going to, and set up for them. Will highly recommend them!

Michael and Charles took very good care of my piano during the loading process and wrapped it up well on the truck. Approximately one week later I was contacted with a delivery date. Unfortunately, I had a very busy and changing schedule that day, but Michael and Jacob were very flexible with my schedule and worked late into the evening to deliver my piano to my house a little after 9pm. They were very quick and efficient and even realized after the piano was set that I had a lamp to plug in behind the piano. They then offered to move the piano back away from the wall to plug in the lamp for me, then moved the piano back. I can't say enough great things about this company and the movers that I worked with during pickup and delivery. They were amazing!
Description of Work: Michael and Charles loaded up my piano in Richardson, TX on 8/10/2015 noting any nicks or scratches pre-existing on the piano. On 8/19/2015, Michael and Jacob delivered the piano to my house.

From the first time I contacted Gordon, I was very glad to be doing business with him. I emailed him to ask for a quote and he responded the same day, within an hour or so. We exchanged emails working out the details and everything went very smoothly. On the day of the move, Gordon was about an hour late, but he called to let me know he wouldn't be on time. When they did arrive, Gordon and his partner were very friendly and professional. They treated the piano with great care and delivered it to my house. What really impressed me was once they unloaded the piano and put it in the room, they didn't just get their money and leave. Gordon asked me where I wanted it and then made sure I was happy with where it was. I wasn't really, so he and his partner moved it around the room several times and even moved some of the other furniture in the room until everything was just right! Good customer service is tough to find these days and GREAT customer service even more so, but with Gordon, great customer service is what you get. Both gentlemen were very efficient, personable, and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them.

I'm a contractor myself and I know exactly how customers can exaggerate bad reviews just like the previous one that gave them a D. The wording in their review is almost exactly what we hear some time when someone totally misrepresents what was actually agreed on. They make it sound like the end of the world when something might or might not have done exactly on time. Even if it was a little later than agreed, is it really that big a deal for crying out loud? The bigger question is HOW DID THEY TREAT YOUR PIANO! These guys did an outstanding job with our piano, took perfect care of it, not a scratch on it! They were earlier than they said they would be, called beforehand, were super careful around our new floors, and most importantly, polite and friendly! I will use them again when we move in a few years for sure. It's just nice to find a company that actually does what they say they will. And folks, don't you find it a bit suspect when they have all of these perfect reviews, and then all of the sudden, out of the blue, you get one where the customer makes it sound like they ruined their life. Geeez people.
Description of Work: Did exactly what they said they would do….and more!

Did not deliver piano as scheduled. Unloaded piano into a warehouse. I paid cash and met my end of the deal....they did not.
Description of Work: Picked up console piano for delivery in Dallas. Pick-up went well however wrong address and phone number for the recipient of piano was incorrect on their invoice when it had all been spelled out via email and by phone. Person receiving piano works and an off time for her to be at home had to be arranged....it was. They did not deliver piano as scheduled. Placed piano in a warehouse. They did not deliver piano as scheduled and unloaded piano into a warehouse which is unacceptable.

We take a lot of pride in what we do, as is evident by the many reviews on Angie's List. I have extensive emails between this customer and I; and in all of the correspondence there isn't any conversation about a specific delivery date, other than contact the recipient for arrangements. According to the customer our agreement to deliver on Wednesday transpired in a phone call, and I have to say I don't recall it nor does the office. When we picked up the piano [removed members name] was very impressed with the ease in which we handled her piano. On the delivery her granddaughter was equally pleased with our service. We have been in the business of moving pianos for 9 years or so and have handled literally thousands of pianos taking every precaution we can to ensure the safest treatment of our customer's property. Putting the piano in a climate controlled warehouse created less risk than leaving it on the truck. We would never put our customer's property at risk.

The process was easy: I contacted Gordon via e-mail, and he got back to me in about 24 hours. We decided upon a price, date, and time for the move. The guys moving my piano called us that morning, and again when they were about thirty minutes or an hour out, and they arrived ON TIME. The move: They arrived on time, introduced themselves, and went right to work. They were very careful with the piano, lifting it onto a wheeled cart (it looks like a very large carpeted cube) and rolling it to one side while they moved and positioned the rug. The piano had to be placed on the rug in a specific spot, -- they actually immediately understood what I was going for, and they positioned it perfectly. I am very happy. The curio cabinet was also placed exactly where I asked it to be placed, and it is perfect. This company provided punctual, patient, and professional service. Everyone was courteous -- no grousers or slouchers here. We felt comfortable having them in our home. They are quick, yet careful, and I trust them with my piano. This piano has been in my family through several generations, and these guys are the best of all those who have ever moved it. This is the second time they have moved it for me. When it is time to pass it on to the next generation, we will once again call Piano Movers of Texas.
Description of Work: Three very nice men carefully moved my very old parlor grand piano, the rug it sits on, and a very large, very tall, very heavy curio cabinet to new locations within our home. No stairs were involved. Everything went very smoothly.

I needed to have an upright player piano moved from my house to storage on a specific date. I sent an email and was answered very quickly and arrangements were made to move the piano. The movers arrived on time and were very polite and efficient. The piano was moved very professionally and the whole thing took about 30-45 minutes. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and I will definitely use them again when I am able to move the piano back to my new house (where there will be room for it).

Gordon and company responded promptly to my email questions and calls - excellent service! The crew that moved my piano arrived on time, were careful, and got it safely on the truck in what seemed like the blink of an eye. Courteous, professional, responsive, personable. Well done, and at what I felt was a fair price. Flexible too, in that I was able to easily add the additional storage time required.

I contacted this company on 5/12 and was given a prompt cost estimate. Gordon and I exchanged a couple of emails where we discussed the price- $160 for the move, or $150 if I was flexible and waited for him to be in my area. I told him that I preferred to spend the extra $10 and nail down a date, and I asked if he was available on two specific dates. I never heard back from him, so I assume he didn't have any availability on the dates specified. It would have been nice to get some form of reply. On 5/16, I contacted another mover and had the piano moved the next day for $170.

Thank you for your response. We value the input that Angie’s List provides for our business. I would like to apologize for not responding to your email. Every now and then an email gets overlooked and I am so sorry that yours did. Customer service is the keystone to us and quick response not only initially but throughout the whole process is our goal. I am sorry that we let you down. Sincerely, Gordon

Our experience with Piano Movers of Texas was exemplary from beginning to end and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the Metroplex or beyond needing piano moving or storage. About three years ago, we moved from our home in Arlington to our current home north of Fort Worth. Since we were doing extensive remodeling to our new home, there was not space for our antique upright piano when we had to move. Gordon and his crew picked up this very, very heavy old piano that had originally been a gift to my grandmother when she was a young girl, in 1908! We knew this sentimental piano needed a good temporary home and Piano Movers of Texas proved to be just who we needed. They kept it in a climate-controlled space and when delivered this week, after three years in storage, the piano looked just as it had when we last saw it. Gordon and his wife were easy to deal with by phone when scheduling a pick-up or delivery and Gordon and his helpers were very professional. Billing was punctual and payment was easy. During the period our piano was in storage, they emailed me a bill quarterly and I paid by check in the mail. Storage for our piano was economical for the service provided and their handling of our family treasure was priceless.
