I found M.G. Welding's information on Angie's List. We have a large iron 2 door gate that opens up into an atrium area in front of our house. These gate were welded and bolted to the brick wall by some angle iron braces. Because of the high winds we get here these braces have been breaking off causing our gates to be very loose and unstable. Marvin came right out and fixed them up so they're solid as a rock! It was done for a very reasonable price and the job's quality exceeded my expectation.

Marvin's work is super high quality. I gave him a picture of the design for the gate and he was able to produce exactly like I envisioned it. He is very fast too. Make sure all your ducks are in a row when you call him because he can get the job done as soon as you say, "go."

Marvin came out and gave me an estimate which I approved. He was prompt and professional. Very good listener and communicator! He got started immediately and got the wrought iron posts in the ground with a 50% deposit. It took a couple of weeks to fabricate the fence. I called him to make a change on the gate latch and lock which he happily accommodated. He scheduled to come out and complete the project yesterday which he did...and more. There where a couple of odd welding and metal cutting repairs I needed done which he did, and he also did some extra painting of the light post and some iron work at no charge. He and his coworker worked very hard and did an excellent job! The work included taking down the old 6' high wood fence which was totally covered in vines. Very difficult demolition and haul off which they did thoroughly and completely. I was very pleased with Marvin and his work and I would hire him again!

Angie's List stated that M. G. Welding states we are not a customer. That is true. You can't be a customer if they do not respond to your initial phone message.

We met with Mr. Galvan to discuss a project of installing iron gates to the entrances of our backyard. He made suggestions which we approved. He was going to get back with us to confirm the date that he could begin and the cost of sandblasting and having the gates painted prior to installing them. He said he was confident he could do the job and was eager to do it. It has been 3 weeks and we have not heard anything from him as promised. I question his reliability, professionalism, and ability to do the job. He should have told us he couldn't or didn't want to do the job instead of giving us false promises and wasting our time. Very disappointed and delayed our progress in getting this job done.

Marvin and his team did a very nice job. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. The work was completed in a timely manner and clean up afterwards was very thorough. He communicated when they were coming and if there were any issues such as weather, we received a courtesy call keeping us informed as to the job status. I would use this company again and recommend to others.

It was wonderful working with Marvin! I needed railing to be made for my front porch stairs. He came on time the day that we agreed and after hearing what I wanted, he told me how he was going to design the railing. The first day, he made his measurements and I provided him with a paint sample so that he could match the color of the railing to the color of my house. The second visit had him putting in the posts. The third visit had him completing the job. After watching him do the job, I realized how much work he had put in and that he is somewhat of a perfectionist. Which in my opinion, is a very good thing. I love the finished product!! With Marvin, you do not only get someone who is great at his craft, but someone who is extremely honest. When he initially gave me the estimate for the job on the first day, I had asked him about the discount on Angie's List. When I paid him, both of us forgot about the discount. Marvin had to return one more time to fix a little problem with the paint job (wasn't anything his fault) and he brought me the amount that should have been discounted from the original total price. Would absolutely use him again!

Marvin Galvan was very courteous, prompt, and professional. He arrived on time, provided a cost estimate, and gave me a date for the work to be performed. He completed the work quickly and to specification. I highly recommend him and will suggest him to others for similar work.

Wonderful! I could not be more pleased with Marvin and his workers. They did an outstanding job, beautifully done. I was in charge of hiring a fence contractor for my mother, as she could not move into her new house until the fence was complete, because of her pets. Marvin was always on time and very helpful to me. We just couldn't believe the final product was exactly as we imagined. Also, I was afraid because there is rocky ground here in the outskirts of the city they would tell me it would cost more, while in the middle of digging the holes, and we had some bad weather as well so I just knew there would be delays in finishing by her move in date, but he made sure it was done on time even with the weather delays, and even worked in the dark I think! I can't say enough about the M.G. Welding fences, everything went perfect! I am so excited to have found someone for myself as well, as soon as I can think of a project I need I will definitely be calling Marvin! Thank you so much!! I can't imagine Marvin giving any of his customers anything other than great work and service, so the review I saw about it being a waste of time, is just not the same company, or if it is, there are always 2 sides to every story. Just look at the other raving reviews and you will have your answer.

Marvin was prompt, courteous, and professional. His price was very competitive and he worked to earn my business. He installed approx 300 ft of the fence and I noticed it wash;t low enough to keep our small dogs from getting out. Without asking any questions he deinstalled the fencing, dug out trenches do submerge the fence by a few inches, and reinstalled the whole thing... all withtout complaining or upcharging me. I plan to use him again for our patio railings. great job Marvin!!

My experience with MG Welding is precisely the type of experience I try to avoid by using Angie's list. I feel more let down by Angie's list than I do the contractor. I got an appointment on 10/25 for an estimate for a 12 foot long fence and gate. I took off work for the appointment. He was a no show and no call, so I called him. He said he had something come up. So how about a phone call? I slipped the appointment a couple of hours later and he's still late! Something about the wrong address. I should have just given up at that point. So I get an estimate for $900, seems expensive for such a small job, but I agree based on ratings from Angie's list. He says he'll start the following week. Almost 3 weeks later, no work and no call, so I called him and said no thanks. I realize it is a small job, but if it is not worth your while just say so and move on, don't waste your time and mine. My trust in the ratings and reviews found in Angie's list is significantly diminished.

Mr. Galan custom made a driveway gate (with automatic opening system) and pedestrian gate, and did an extremely professional installation. We are very happy with the quality of the work performed and the materials used. Mr. Galan is one of those rare suppliers who is honest, trustworthy, and genuinely wants to do the best for his clients at a fair price. We will definitely engage MG Welding for future projects.

Marvin did a beautiful job. Work was professional, no mess left behind, and his work enhanced the curb appeal of the home.

We negotiated a fair price and scheduled the work to be completed by a certain day. Marvin performed his work in a professional and craftsman-like manner . The work was completed by the date we set and I couldn't be happier

Built a large fence to enclose a garden area and built steel structure on a large outdoor porch so we can screen in the porch beach job took a day and was done very well. No issues and I would hire them again.

The owner was really nice. When it came to having the gate done, they were willing to work with me and he was able to show me more options than others. They were very fast with the work and were able to complete it all in one day. The work turned out very well.

Perfect. Not only was the job well done, but he anchored the gate into the stucco wall with the appropriate bolt. He noticed that the gate was wobbly because the builder had not used the right bolt when the house was built. Then he replaced the bolt on the second gate. He definitely went above and beyond.

Marvin was very punctual and professional thru the entire process. He contacted me the same day I sent the request thru Angies list. He arrived at my home the next day to give a quote. Once I hired his company for the job, his crew was punctual, polite, and respectful of my family and our property. He installed the fence in the timeframe promised. He even reinstalled the panels to lower them so that my wife's small dogs could not crawl under the fence. My overall experience with Marvin and his company was exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone.

Marvin was a pleasure to deal with...He took pride in his job...He was on time, on price and made a point to protect my house when he was spraying paint. He knows his business and I would not hesitate to recommend him to other people and use him for a future project I have planned. He's an A+ contractor!

I have seen Marvin's work from a friend of mine and noticed he was also on Angie's List. The quality of work at my friend's place of business was phenomenal. Spiral staircase with intricate design and I was informed that it was a reasonable price. For what I needed was not too complex compared to my friends so I was referred. Marvin and I spoke than decided to meet on property to come up with a design and function of my gate. This will be the first iron gate I ever involved in building so I was clueless on the steps and functionality of what was possible. Marvin was patient and heard my ideas than helped guide my decisions with pictures and drawings. Once we confirmed the design, Marvin gave me an estimate time of starting the project and completion. He had to cut through my concrete driveway and set heavy duty post for my gate. Another day the gate was installed. It was painless and fast. He started the project on the date promised and completed before the time he said. He mentioned it is easier to under promise than to over promise and under deliver. Once the gate was completed and I paid him. He followed up to ask about the function of the gate and if I was happy. I truly appreciated Marvin's professionalism and patience in working with me. In some cases, I find contractors jump to conclusions or force suggestions because of their lack of patience. Marvin took me by surprise as he was more than patient and gave me the time I needed to feel comfortable on my purchase. Especially for the fact I had no clue at step 1. It was a lot easier than I expected and I plan to hire Marvin for other projects. His work ethic, craftsmanship and price is worth coming up with projects to hire him on. I don't know too many contractors now in days that I can say that about, besides my grandfather.
