Met Brian through AL last year. His crew did a job for me and nailed it. We redid a couple exterior walls and they really did a first class job. Communication is a strong suit for Brian. As it should be for anyone that works with customers, but Brian goes the extra mile.You can rest assured that Brian and his team will meet time parameters and budgetary concerns and give you options along the way. I refereed Brian to my family for a couple jobs and have used him for other odd jobs on rental properties. Most recently they did an entire exterior rehab at a rental property for me. They saved me a lot of money and gave me peace of mind. meanwhile Brian identified other tasks that needed to be completed. He gave me options for those tasks and we were able to save a boat load having them do the work while they were on site.I almost don't want to give a review because I want Lakewood all to myself.

I consider myself very lucky to have found Brian and his crew to convert a portion of our existing garage space to a laundry room. This was my first home remodel project, and I needed someone who was not only a reputable contractor but could help me with design as well. Brian and his crew have gone above and beyond to make this laundry room a reality for us. He shows up when he says he will and everything he has predicted about the job has been right on the money. He works differently from other contractors (no subs) and you have to trust him quite a bit which might make some people uneasy, but the work WILL be well done and the price WILL be fair. He prides himself on getting his clients what they want at a decent price. He even negotiates with plumbers and the like to get you a better price on parts of the job he cannot do himself. We will be coming in under budget on our project thanks to Brian. I solicited two other bids, and Brian's estimate was slightly higher, but I felt more confident that the work would be done well and that my project would get the attention it deserved. He's also super easy to get a hold of by text message which was really nice. If you are looking for a contractor you can TRUST that knows what he's doing, call Brian.

Brian came out immediately and provided an estimate for the laundry room. I had a very tight deadline and they worked with my schedule! They started work the next day. As I saw the laundry room go up, I realized how bad the rest of the family room needed to be painted. When I mentioned it, they enthusiastically agreed and had the entire room painted within a couple of days. Then, I noticed that I needed an electrical outlet in the room and once again they were happy to help! They started work on Tuesday and by Thursday afternoon, everything looked wonderful and we were done!

Brian came to my house and looked at the job, he was the only contractor that came and didn't try to find out how much the job had been estimated at by the Insurance company. Once we had decided on a start time, everybody was prompt and worked diligently. The job was finished on time and exactly on budget. I would recommend the company to everybody.

My backyard now looks like a resort, my friends were very impressed. We're having a great summer with lots of pool parties!

They had to start with throwing out everything including furniture, pulling up flooring, removing all lighting and fixtures. The house was at least 2 feet deep in filth and trash in every room, so they had to hire people to come in and remove that before they could begin with the rest. They removed all blinds, floorboards (trashed and molded) in every room. They then patched numerous holes and cracks in the walls and ceilings. Then had to prime walls/ceilings with about 3 coats of Kilz in each room to get rid of the cigarette smoke buildup and kids that had used markers all over the walls. They plastered, repaired, painted, cleaned. Then they helped me pick out and transport the lighting fixtures, baseboards, ceiling fans, blinds, bathroom fixtures (including toilets, sinks and cabinets). They were great help to me there since I didn't have any way of getting this stuff back to the house. They found a trash hauling company that was reasonably priced and reputable to help me with hauling. They were very, very helpful. They knew this was a huge surprise for me and that I had limited funds, so they found everyway possible to help me save money, but yet stay with my quality standards. They did not cut corners. They were there everyday working hard in the house. No matter when I dropped by, they were hard at work. When the house was finished, it looked like new. I decided not to use them to install the flooring. It was a lot of nasty, hard work that they had to do to get that house ready for me to sell after the shambles it was in. But, they did it and they did it affordably and very good quality.

Bids were created quickly, and came in at fair (actually good) prices. Personal attention was outstanding. And the owner was very responsive, and patient with changes that had occured in my situation. In the future, I will ask for additional specificity in the work to be done, but anticipate hiring Lakewood for future projects. Particularly impressed with some of their previous projects, including remarkable detail work on a local historic church.

I was very pleased with their work, from start to finish. These guys did such a good job that I do not plan on using any other contractors to work on my house.

This project exceeded my expectations. It added charm to my backyard and Mr. Hurley's bid actually came in considerably cheaper than the other bid I got. The other quote was 2,400 and I paid Mr. Hurley a little less than 2,000 dollars. Excellent work!

On a few projects they were able to save me money. Only the exterior went over budget because of some rotting wood that showed up during repair. They informed me immediately and charged me only a small overage for materials in excess of the bid.

It was a not a pleasant experience. So we didn?t use them for anymore projects after our first one. The contractor was never there and he charged us for him being there. He wasn?t overseeing the work. The paint did not match as some of them were white and others were half white. Their work was like a 5-year-old would do. They didn?t clean up after they were done. It was all just really odd. He was not just professional at all. There was nothing we were happy about them. They didn?t come when they said they would. They would charge us for a whole day and would work for only five or six hours a day.

Overall I would stay my experience with Lakewood Restoration has been stellar! Brian & his team have truly proven themselves to be caring, skillful & reliable. In just over a week my living room, dining room & kitchen has been transformed into the modern luxury home I've always dreamed. My eccentric neighbor lady made a comment that she wanted to "lick the walls" b/c she loved the color so much. It's an elegant paint at Home Depot called Heaven's Winds if your curious. Anyway, your foolish if don't at least hear them out over at Lakewood Restoration. I'll just be over here working up my wish list of additional home improvements. Thanks guys!

The owner and his helpers were courteous and friendly. I was very satisfied with how creative and careful the work was, and the result was terrific! Their prices were also super competitive, I could not get any other bids that were lower than what I paid them.
