Lakewood Restoration

Can't recommend Lakewood Restoration enough. They did a great job, at a great price, and on budget. I am amazed at how well he built a wall on an existing wall of a loft and closed it in to make another bedroom. He explained everything well with me and really cared about getting this project done correctly. He is very detail orientated and would recommend again!

A representative did come by as planned to look at our home, and said he would follow up with an estimate. I have reached out now three times, and almost a month has passed with no estimate. This was disappointing, as I saw many positive reviews listed here, and we would like to get started on the work.

Brian's workers were there on time every day and worked until the job was completed. They cleaned the site every day before they left. They were very pleasant and answered all of my questions. They went above and beyond and we were very pleased with the quality of their work. Brian came by every day to make sure everything was going well. He was very helpful and had great suggestions for cosmetic changes we wanted to make.

Not well at all! They say they completed the pier and beam work on my 900 sq foot house, but two years later in2018 a foundation inspection reveals rotten piers and piers that don’t connect to the beams. They did skirt the house fairly well and did a small amount of work on the porch, but honestly the porch still lists. Unfortunately it didn’t end well as I felt I was being deceived.

Things went fine, the job ended up costing way more then the Deal price which I expected just not as high. I would use them again if needed.

Lakewood does good work. They are generally conscientious and work to ensure customer satisfaction. The project took a little longer than expected, but that is the nature of these projects. Pleased with results!

The Lakewood crew rebuilt and painted the arbor, preserved the wisteria by raising it above the roof line during the construction (with ladders, lumber, and ropes), and repaired the soffit to prevent further water damage. The job was finished in a week, with four workers. They cleaned up the area every evening before departing and built a beautiful arbor that is far superior to the one that existed. These guys are wonderful! They have done another project for us previously, and we'd recommend them without hesitation.

It went very well. He came out, looked at what he needed to do and got right at it. He has text and called me to make sure I'm completely satisfied for work. Usually you never hear from them again, but he has stayed in contact. I would definitely recommend him to family members and friends.

We took advantage of a BIg Deal (6 man-hours for $149), but the work required two days of effort due to the extensive repairs. Owner Brian Hurley gave us a $300 discount. He and his two-man crew arrived at 9:30 a.m. each day (30 minutes after the scheduled time) and worked until 2:30-2:45 p.m., with a 30-minute break for lunch. They supplied the sheetrock, mud and tools; we provided the paint. On the first day, they repaired the damaged spots on the walls and ceiling, put on tape and mud, then textured the area. The next day, after everything had dried, they painted the walls and ceiling. However, they had to redo a couple of spots where some gouging had occurred. Overall, we are satisfied with the results. The hallway and bedroom look much better. Some of the texturing doesn't match the original wall surface, but that's understandable. Brian was friendly, polite and checked up on his workers. At our request, he gave us a quote for a bathroom renovation, too.

We have 16 foot ceilings in the dining room and the kitchen. The crew arrived promptly each day and worked on the cracks in the dining room and kitchen. They covered the furniture in each room with plastic to make sure the furniture and other items were protected from the materials being used. At the end of each day, they cleaned up their mess, which was appreciated. On the first day, the crew taped and bedded the cracks. The second day, they applied texture to the cracks and the third day, the ceilings were painted. The entire process took two and one-half days. They were always on time and very professional.

I contacted Brian after purchasing an Angie's deal. He called soon after and came by to check out the scope of the project and provide an estimate of the cost. There were several stress cracks and a light fixture in the cathedral ceiling had been displaced by a nearby lightning strike. The quote was quite reasonable, and fortunately the crew was able to start work within a few days. They completed the work in three days. To access the areas being painted, they had to move a grand piano and other heavy items. Throughout the process, the furniture was protected and the premises were kept as clean as possible. We are completely satisfied and can see why the company earns super service awards from Angie's List clients.

It was awesome. They had 2-4 guys working on the project. The workers were very.nice and professional . Brian was.very helpful and patient with the millions of questions I had. I ended up with a cedar roof and columns and beautiful stone work. I can't say enough good things about Lakewood restoration.

I needed a closed in garage and home office built on my property. After brainstorming with Brian from Lakewood Restoration, we came up with a plan to build a structure that has the garage downstairs and a home office with loft storage on the second floor. They made the building walls, windows, roof and frame matching the materials of my existing house to preserve the aesthetic integrity of the place. It looks beautiful. I love my office, the space was very well planned and carefully built. Hard working crew, very fair, personable and responsive. I definitely recommend these guys.

This is probably the worst contractor experience I've ever had. Lakewood Restoration prices their services as a daily base plus a flat fee per day per person working on site. The base rate at the time was about 3 times the per person rate. The more people you have on-site, the better rate overall. This seemed fair, but the problems with this arrangement quickly became apparent and we ended up spending over 10,000 for some disappointing work. 1. We never knew how many people were supposed to be working on our project on a given day. This meant that we were paying the high base rate with only 1 person working. The guy in charge always said that more guys would be there the next day, but this was invariably wrong. Even getting them scheduled to start at all was a chore. 2. The crew broke 3 windows and used and broke my 2 sawhorses. This meant replacing the windows, further wasting our time and incurring more daily fees for their mistakes. They gave us some discounts for their mistakes but we still ended up paying more than 50% more than planned. 3. Instead of finishing an entire room and then moving to the next set of windows, they sanded the windows in all of the rooms, then replaced sashes and cords. Because of this were kept out of rooms for weeks and it made it difficult to stop work since they were in the middle of so many things. 4. The quality of work is a little disappointing. Cracks have appeared in the stops they installed, they split the wood on the meeting rail, there's a crack in one of the windows, some of the new stops don't reach the top of the frame. 5. Unresponsive management: When I called (multiple times) to get problems corrected (at least fix the broken stuff), they always promised to come out but never did.

The transformation was in-credible. The next door neighbors could not believe how good the house looked (specially compared to how terrible it looked before). They added finishing touches such as a bell and weather vane on top of the roof, finished the bottom of the house with cedar and built an arbor outside my kitchen. It looks amazing. Their men are always hard at work and they are supervised wisely, optimizing the work day to avoid any mistakes. I am very pleased with the work, it was excellent.

They gave me two options. One was to redo my molding, which was $125 per day, per laborer. They told me they could refer me to someone else, to do more leveling beyond that. My experience with them have been fantastic. I liked that they presented options, and I think they would do a very thorough job of fixing the problem. They said the loose spot was just a problem from living in an old house, but not something structural.

Brian, was very fast on returning my phone call even though he was getting over being sick. I really appreciated the quick response and the fantastic referral.

Covered and protected all surfaces. Cleaned up daily so I could get to the kitchen in the evenings. I added things after the job started and it wasn't a problem. They showed up on time. I would highly recommend these guys! They are busy so you will need to get on their schedule. I think often time folks forget that contractors are working on several jobs at one time and get frustrated when they can't get immediate service, but they got me on the schedule as soon as they had a crew available. I highly recommend these guys.
