My husband and I moved from Honolulu, Hawaii to Plano, Texas on Feb. 2015. Since we lived out of state, we had a tough time looking for a house to rent. I read Brent Rice's reviews and I was impressed! We met Brent in Nov. 2014. He was warm, approachable and knowledgeable. Within days, Brent found us a rental home at a good location. A year later, my husband and I decided to have a house built in Carrolllton. It was our first time to have a house built. Brent helped us every step of the way. Highly Recommended!

Brent was great. He was very professional and was constantly communicating with me. He served as a liason with the property management company I had been working with and made sure that the turn over of the house went smoothly. The house sold fast. We had one offer fall through and he quickly found a new buyer. He always answered my questikns and was available whenever i needed something.

The idea of selling and then having to purchase (and potentially be homeless in between with two young kids) in this crazy real estate market was terrifying. We interviewed a handful of Realtors, but from the first phone call with Brent, he immediately eased my fears. He was respectful and insightful and always listened to our ideas and concerns. He gave us inexpensive suggestions to get our house ready, but also urged us not to spend too much since any buyer would likely want to make their own changes. (it was an older home that needed updates) After Joann staged our home, our listing went live and within 3 days we had more than a dozen offers! Every offer was over list price! He worked hard with potential buyer's agents to make sure we got what we needed most...time to find another house. (and also to minimize any potential issues that could delay the closing of our sale) We were under contract to sell within a week and went into high gear with the daunting task of finding a home to move into. Houses we saw were under contract within 48 hours of listing. If something came on the market we needed to see NOW. Brent did everything in his power to show homes to us the day they were listed. Again, he provided guidance and input, but listened to us and what we wanted in our next home. When we wanted to write an offer, he got it done regardless of how busy he was. Ulitmately, we went under contract on a house we really loved. After the inspection, the deal started to fall apart and we walked away. But Brent was there to pick up the pieces and continued to show us house after house. Two weeks later, in an odd twist of events, we ended up back under contract on the house we loved and with all of our demands met. There were tons of road bumps getting to closing, but you never would've known it because Brent was always one step ahead of the game. Even after closing Brent was there for us. When we had issues with a contractor on the house we sold Brent was vital in the resolution. In that particular situation Brent could've taken the low road (and I wouldn't have blamed him one bit), but no matter what happened, Brent was always a truly classy gentleman. I would gladly recommend him to friends and family. (and I'm a tough cookie to impress!)

Brent helped us lease our home in Plano, TX. He is very thorough and started by giving us a rent vs sell analysis. The analysis was very detailed and helped us with our decision. He is very energetic, takes action and is always on top of the situation. He is very professional and gave us time to make decisions without being pushy. I have used other agents before and he is clearly on top of the list. I would highly recommend Brent for buying, selling or renting.

The selling and closing of our house was the smoothest and easiest that we ever had. No brag but fact. No matter the situation, Brent's expertise in real estate and dealings with people were above and beyond the average. -Brent excels in communication and negotiation. -He is trust worthy and does not loose his patience. -Despite our difficult situation with the mortgage company's processor, Brent was patient and professional during the process. -The situation with the mortgage company processor -- he was not processing the loan, not returning phone calls, and the closing was having to be delayed. In conclusion, in a heart beat I would use Brent again as my broker to sell or buy a home. After three viewing, we sold our home.

Brent helped pick up the pieces after we parted ways with another agent - Cindy Spurlock. It was at the start of the fall as we lost the summer with the other agent but that didn't deter Brent. He quickly assessed the situation - showing us alternatives to the deep price discounting the other agent had recommended. He helped us find the optimal small investments to get the house looking at little better and even provided a number of his own props and small furnishings. That provision was especially helpful as we had moved out and the house was looking rather bare. Brent's efforts continued after the setup though. Unlike the previous agent he followed up with every showing and got feedback to help with the process. It took some time and we had a false start with a buyer that was indecisive and backed out but he got job done. Another buyer came in, he got the contract negotiated and helped us through the process even though we were far away. Brent may not be perfect - he is largely a one man show - but he got the job done and did so with far more effort and involvement than I've seen with any other time I've been through this process. I strongly recommend him.

He found a couple to rent at a good increase. He made sure they were happy after move-in. He kept in touch with me regularly. I live i Arizona and the property is in Plano, TX. I would trust Brent with any real estate needs. I would trust Brent under any circumstances.

I had the pleasure of working with Brent Rice as I was selling my house. He had an overwhelming number of positive reviews on Angie's List so I felt he would be the ideal choice (even though I think he deals in much higher-end properties than my own). He was very responsive and replied to emails and texts quickly. He's a true professional. I exchanged some emails with Brent and we decided on a listing price. Brent knew the market and the list price we agreed on was about $10,000 higher than what I thought the best case scenario could be. It might not sound like much, but for this property it is and he was right. The house sold on the second day on the market for $1,000 over list (but some incentives drop it to just under list ... still far beyond what I thought was my best case scenario). Brent Rice is a very experienced realtor with a broad range of knowledge of the lending side of the business. This is highly valuable since since he vetted the buyers' finances before he recommended for me to take the deal. He wanted to make sure they could bring it to the finish line and they checked out. This isn't as easy as it may sound. It's not just a phone call. He put in a lot of background work since the buyers were using a mortgage broker and even more calls to verify financial information. Brent is also an extremely good negotiator because of his knowledge of the market and the business. Do yourself a favor and hire him because I guarantee you that you don't want him on the other side of the table negotiating. The only way you won't lose in that scenario is to walk away from the table. Most realtors in D/FW just don't have the experience or market knowledge that Brent has and they will probably charge you the same. He's going to get you the best deal on your house-buying or selling. It really is a pleasure working with a true professional that takes pride in his job. If only because it's so rare in the housing market, whether it's contractors, electricians or agents. Everyone seems to want to do substandard work and charge you premium rates. Professionals like Brent make the process go much smoother with less stress and headaches. Realtors like him are rare and in all of my dealings I haven't met one half as good and I'm glad he represented me in this deal.

My home was on the market for a week and had a contract in the making. I had a personal family matter come up and regrettably had to take it off the market. In Brent style and fashion he was as graceful in coming to remove the sign from my yard and let me know that he would be here for me and my ailing husband if we needed anything. Brent Rice is an outstanding real estate agent. If you listed all the desirable characteristics of the ideal real estate agent, that would be Brent Rice. I researched and agonized for many weeks before I engaged his services. I knew my situation would require a top notch real estate agent who would be extremely dedicated, completely committed, and undeterred by ongoing obstacles. All the reviews and other information I read about Brent Rice indicated excellence in areas such as professionalism, intelligence, knowledge, work ethic, and so on. Additionally, in comparison with reviews of other real estate agents, the reviews for Brent Rice included frequent comments such as excellent negotiating skills, accommodating, and personable. When I initially spoke to Brent on the phone, I was very impressed. He listened, really listened. The impression was that he sincerely felt that he could be of help and, moreover, wanted to be of help, and that he could be effective in dealing with the difficulties involved in the sale of our house. When JoAnn (Brent's wife) and Brent came for our first meeting at our house, I was sad to be giving up the house, discouraged by the number of repairs it needed, and visibly stressed about it all. JoAnn's attitude was positive. She pointed out all the good features of the house and was understanding of my feelings. She and Brent encouraged me to be calm and said that they would take care of everything. And they did. Brent and his son actually came over and did landscaping for me. When, my ex-husband would not respond to phone calls and texts from Brent, Brent spoke with one of the neighbors. He enlisted the neighbor's help in reaching out to my ex-husband, after which communications were established. Other obstacles arose in the sale of the house, but due to Brent's outstanding negotiating skills and commitment, these problems were also overcome. When a real estate agent showing the house noticed thieves had broken in, she called Brent. I did not have my cell phone with me and could not be reached. Brent went to the house, called the police and filled out the police report. The price range for the sale of our house was considerably below that of the majority of homes that Brent sells, but the attention he gave to this sale was comprehensive. Brent found a buyer for the house in less than a week and sold it for a significantly higher price than expected. The sale of our house was fraught with one obstacle after another, far more than than those mentioned above, but Brent is so capable, so committed, and possesses such outstanding skills that he is able to deal well with whatever situation arises. I suggest that if you are searching for the most capable, the best real estate agent available, that you call Brent Rice.

We cannot say enough good things about The Rice Group and are so glad we came across Brent on Angie?s List! Brent responded immediately when we reached out and that type of response was consistent throughout our process from not only him but his entire team. While we are happy that we sold our home for top dollar and now live in the perfect home for our family that we were seeking we actually find that we enjoyed working with Brent and Joann so much that we miss them! - And we?ve sold and purchased homes before and this is the first time we can make that statement! Brent Rice did an outstanding job as my realtor in selling my house. I found Brent listed under realtors in Angie's list for my area of Plano, Texas. He truly lived up to all of the outstanding reviews other homeowners had given him. He is a true professional. Brent is friendly, knowledgeable, and very articulate. He took time in explaining the process of getting the best price for my house in a timely manner. He had my house on the market for 3 1/2 days, resulting in six offers. Three of the offers were full price and 100% cash. The offer I excepted allowed me to stay in my house rent free for 2 1/2 months because my new home was not ready yet. When we decided to start looking for a home, we contacted Brent Rice. We explained that we weren?t in any rush that we would just take our time until the right home came up. He said he totally understood and would just go at our pace, which he did. When we did find a home that we wanted to look at he was always available to make sure we could see the homes. When we did find the right home the process was pretty much seamless, which seems rare with how hot the market is. Brent (and Sara) have always been very honest, quick to respond, enthusiastic, and looking out for our best interest. We also used The Rice Group to sell our home. The old idiom "you get what you pay for" does not apply to the Rice Group. We took advantage of a deal which gave us 1.5% back on the lesser priced of the two houses. I shopped and found a few that offered 1% back, but nothing else with 1.5%. Brent and his team didn't just list the house on MLS or shoot us a few links for houses to look at. Brent is the negotiator, and he does this extremely well. More than once we wanted to just take a counter offer and Brent talked us off the ledge, made another call and the deal just got sweeter. JoAnn is a genius when it comes to staging. She worked with us to set up the house in a way to allowed us to continue to live there, but highlighted the strong points. This likely factored heavily in the fact that we had 3 bids within 3 days. Sara showed us the homes. This was not an easy task because we were on a very tight timeline (selling and buying at the same time is not a slow-paced experience) and needed to see homes the same day we found them. Those days ended up being anything that ended in "y" and there was generally only a couple hours between first look online and walking in the front door. In the end, we would recommend the Rice Group to anyone looking/selling in the area.

I had another realtor who was extremely kind, but her mother was extremely ill, her head was not in the game. After having 5 offers on my house fall through and so much stress that I ended up in the hospital due to an asthma attack I was exhausted. I had staged my house and had yet another contract, and thought it was sold, so I started packing. I had boxes all over my house when 5 days before it was supposed to close, deal #6 fell through. I was furious. Selling a house is a business deal, and I needed things to get done. So I let her go and started researching new realtors. I interviewed several people and read reviews and checked the licenses of everyone that I interviewed on TREC's website. Any marks on their license and I passed. Brent met all my criteria and I asked him to come over for an interview. I was very pleased to meet Brent. He was kind, through and knows how to get things accomplished without any drama. And my dog liked him, big deal. I don't hire people my dog doesn't trust. He came to my house, and helped me restage it. He took new pictures and put it on the market. I had 3 offers in 2 days. The one that I accepted was a cash offer. From the day it went on the market to the day it closed was 11 days. Brent made it easy for me, and kept things in order and stress free. After closing, I was almost 400 miles away when I realized that I had forgotten a bag of doggie presents in the back yard, and he went to the house and threw it out for the new owners. It was totally above and beyond the call of duty. Seriously, no one else I know of is that dedicated. Call him, you won't regret it. BTW.... he charges the standard 6%, but not sure how to put that on the dollar amount.

Brent and Sara of The Rice Group are incredible. We first met Brent in January of 2015 as we were beginning the process of listing our home for sale. He spent time with us looking over our house, listening to our needs and desires for the sale, and walking us through his experience. Over the next couple months we prepared our home to list based in part on recommendations from Brent's wife. We finally listed the house for sale in March and received 14 offers the first weekend. Brent's expertise was invaluable in navigating the complexities of offer evaluation. He also spent a good amount of time verifying and validating each of the offers. Through his amazing skills in negotiation he was able to secure a buyer that offered the best opportunity for us in the sale of our home. To keep it short and sweet it went well. I think number one thing for me is responsiveness when dealing with someone. I have to know where I stand and what is going on. I needed to move rather quickly in terms of buying a house I had less than 60 days to find somewhere and close on said property. I like to do things myself so but I never bought a house before so I needed someone I could trust to help me. I called Brent who then put me in touch with one of his agents Sara. I already had a house I wanted to look at and she promptly assisted me as quickly as possible within a day or two I saw it. I then looked at several others within a week and found one I wanted to place an offer on. Brent and Sara worked together at that moment to make sure the process was moving along accordingly and both were responsive to any questions I had as we went through the process. I was done quickly and with time to spare to move in.
