Ken and his helper, Collin, arrived on time. Collin did a fine job of removing the loose kitchen tiles and cleaning up afterwards. The next day Ken returned and properly installed our new tile and grouted it to perfection - completely matching it to the grout of the existing kitchen tiles. The loose tiles were due to the original installation (1999) of the tile not being properly set. Ken remedied the problem by first applying a rubberized coating and then followed it up with the right amount of thin-set. When done, the tiles looked as if they had always been apart of the kitchen floor. Ken was very friendly, professional and honest. We will definitely use his services in the future, if needed...Ken did offer to come over and show us how to repair another tile issue for free. That was extremely honest and kind of him....and we intend to take him up on his offer! We highly recommend the Grout Doctor!!!

He has really honest analysis of what the problem was and didn’t try to make it more than it was and very fair on his price and he is also very nice but after the work was done I called him because whoever the worker was didn’t really clean after as I was expected. He reimbursed me for my time and to clean up offers for the work. He also offered to come back out and clean it with effort because he had to and for the feedback that he could address it and fix it in the future which I am sure he does it very conscientiously so I mean he did a good work.

This was as easy as it could be. I called the Grout Doctor, and made an appointment to have them come out and give me an estimate. They came as promised, and explained what they would do. I received a detailed estimate and scheduled an appoimtment. The technician arrived as promised, and the work was performed as promised. They contacted me to confirm the appointment before hand, and followed up after the service to make sure everything was done as contracted. This company is extremely professional. I would definitely recommend the Grout Doctor.

I hired Ken 5 months ago to seal up some grout cracks and he had done an excellent job. When I discovered the shower leak last week, I thought I had better call a plumbing company to investigate. The plumbing company told me that it was the pan that needed replacing with an estimate of $800 and that they would not be able to replace the tile and grout. I would have to hire another separate company to finish off the tile/grout job. I decided to call Ken for a 2nd opinion because I felt uneasy about the estimate provided by the plumbing company and boy am I glad I did! Not only did Ken save us a lot of time and money for an unnecessary repair, he found the root of the problem in no time at all and the actual repair only took 2 days! I really appreciate his professionalism and his guys are pros as well! I give a shout out to Jimmy who did an excellent job with the repair itself!! I know know that Ken is a jack of all trades and can diagnose and repair all sorts of issues to pop up so I will definitely be calling on him in the future. It is nice to know there is someone honest out there that will charge a fair price and do the work correctly.

This was our 3rd try to get an estimate to repair some damaged tile in the master shower. The first guy wanted $8,000 to replace all the tile (his recommendation), the second guy wanted $3,000 to replace part of the tile. We're going to sell the house soon so wanted to make the shower look nice, but didn't want to spend a ton of money doing so. Ken took the time to listen to what we needed and wanted done and then worked with us to come up with an approach that did what we needed and did most of what we wanted, and for a relatively modest sum. The work went exactly as planned. The installer was polite, on time, and cleaned up after himself. Even wiped down the floor where he was going in and out to the tile cutting machine. We are very pleased with all aspects of the work they did for us; the Design, the Execution, and the Cost.

The service tech arrived as scheduled. He took care to ensure that his work did not leave water or caulking debris on the floor of the master bathroom. The work took about an hour or less. The work area around the shower was cleaned and dry after he finished. Before he left, he had us inspect his work and gave us instructions about allowing the caulking to dry before using the shower. The tech was the same one who came in 2011. He was courteous and very professional on both occasions. Have used them twice and will definitely use them again when needed.

I pulled up grout companies on Angie's LIst and the Grout Doctor was the first company on the list so I gave them a call. The Grout Doctor was extremely professional from the begining through the end. I requested a free estimate online and received a call the same day to set up the appointment. Bobby showed up for the estimate on time within the window and answered all questions I had. We went ahead and scheduled the service for a couple of days later. Josh showed up to do the work and was very professional as well. I would definitely use the Grout Doctor again and would highly recommend them.

The technician arrived right on time and got started. It took him about 3 hours to finish the work. He was very detailed and professional. He had to remove the old grout and used vacuum to suck up the dirt which I appreciated since I didn?t want that to be washed in the bathtub drain. The work is absolutely flawless (and I tend to be a picky customer). Price was higher than their competitor?s but so was the level of service. I received an estimate up front and it did not change. I also received call from technician 30 minutes before arrival and a follow up call from company to make sure I was happy with everything.

The master bathroom shower was a mess and it needed to be re grouted. Called the Grout Doctor and Ken Powell was pleasant over the the telephone and said he what day and time he would come out and give me an estimate. He arrived at the schedule time and looked at the shower and also checked the grout in the guest bathroom. He was was professional, cheerful and gave me the time and date the work would be completed. His worker came at the time the appointment was scheduled, wore protective shoe covers and was courteous, friendly and started the job immediately. He called me into the bathroom and asked me how did it look. My shower looked brand new and i was very well pleased with the job. He told me not to use the shower for 3 days. He cleaned the surrounding area of the bathroom where the shower was located and I did not have to clean that area of the bathroom after the work was completed. I have used this company again and have not had any problems with the work performed, I am very well pleased and will used them for other grout problems when and if they occur.

We have actually had The Grout Doctor over 2 times now to replace and repair grout and caulking in a home we just purchased. They are extremely professional, punctual, and honest. They were not able to complete one of the jobs because the last owner used a product to caulk around a sink that was not the correct product. It is like cement. The representative from The Grout Doctor was concerned that he would actually damage the counter top by trying to remove the "caulking". I really appreciated him not taking the chance and damaging the sink/counter top. I will be using The Grout Doctor from McKinney again soon for the last round of repairs. I definitely recommend them to any one. My sister in law just had them out as well to perform many projects on their bathroom updating/remodel. She was extremely pleased with their performance and prices.

The 2 men from Grout Doctor are still here finishing the job as I write. They are cordial, inform me of steps completed and to be completed and overall are very professional. Of course, I don't know how the job will hold up but it looks great! They also reset some trim tile pieces that were loose and corrected some other grout problems. It looks like new!

Initially, they told me what a great job they could do and we wouldn't have to pay them until the job is completely finished. Ken showed up at noon, looked to see what the crew was doing, and then asked me to pay him then so he could make payroll, which I did. The job they did was terrible. They installed a higher-priced, high-quality product (StarQuartz) which we picked out. He was hardly ever at our house to do the work and always had to leave and buy supplies (which took him a couple of hours). We called the manufacture of the product after the job was done, and they let me know that they don’t recommend this product for re-grouting, only for new shower installation. The Grout Doctor should've known this! I let the Grout Doctor know what I found out; I told them that I wanted all of the StarQuartz removed and new grout put in. The new grout isn’t adhering now because all of the StarQuartz wasn’t removed. There’s a film all over the tiles, too. They also scratched some of the tiles. We paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars and now, our shower looks like garbage now. Honestly, it looks worse than it did before they did the work. He’s not qualified to re-grout a shower.

everything went great! The estimate was quick and I schedule with work to be done within just a few days of getting the estimate. The guy showed up on time with all of his equipment and went to work quickly. it took about 3 hours total. The group repair looks better than new and he caulked all around.

I am planning on listing my home and needed to freshen up the grout in the foyer. I checked Angies list for contractors and after reading the reviews decided to contact Ken Powell with Grout Doctor. He came by for an estimate and set the apt. for the work. He sent Keith to my home to complete the work He did an outstanding job. The price was a little high but much more economical than replacing the tile. It turned out very nice and restoration gave my floor a much needed facelift.. Job completed in 5 hrs. very satisfied and will recommend Ken to my friends and family.

The price was a bit more than I expected; however, they responded very quickly and did a good job.

Due to excellent reviews on Angies List I called The Grout Doctor for an estimate. We received a call back the same day and Bobby came out the next day. He gave us an estimate of what would be needed and any possible problems that we might discover and any costs to fix those. We scheduled the service date and they were out to the house on time on the date scheduled. We have learned that one must always be prepared for any problems that might arise and plan for them financially. When our house was built the shower/tub areas were built with "green board". Which may be described as totally useless for water protection. When the seat in the shower was removed the green board was completely soaked. This necessitated the removal of the tile on the front and all of the wet material and allowing this area to dry out. They were back out a couple of days later to rebuild the shower seat with concrete board and replace the tile. At that time we discovered another issue but this was easily dealt with and they regrouted the tile cleaned everything and left us with a new looking shower. There was a huge amount of labor involved in this job and the cost was double the initial estimate but the costs were provided to us prior to any repairs being made. I feel that the cost was "more than fair" and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in grout repair. They did a Great Job!

Although his price was a bit more than we had anticipated, after hearing what needed to be done and after Ken explained in detail the process, we felt it was justified. After accepting the price, I asked Ken if it was possible for someone to come on Friday Nov. 23rd between 9 - 9:30 am to do the work since my husband and I both had the day off. Ken responded that it was in fact possible.Unknown to me at the time, Ken mistakenly wrote down on his calendar , Friday Nov. 30th with the same time frame for arrival. On Friday morning, when no one showed up after 10am, we called Ken. He acknowledged the error and immediately made arrangements to have one of his team do the work that afternoon. At the time he mentioned, both Ken and his team member showed up and the job was done to perfection. We areextremely pleased with the finished work. Ken Powell is an honest , upstanding individual who operates his business with in-depth knowledge, integrity,kindness and a sincere desire to provide great service and create "customers for life". My husband and I both recommend Ken Powell and his team to do your grout etc.work. The only reason why I even mentioned our miscommunication was because of the professional way a human error was handled and I feel it spoke volumes about Ken's positive character and professionalism.

They did a nice job. They came out right away. I liked the owner very much. His worker was out the following Saturday, which I liked the turn around. He did a nice job. They are professional and on time. They know what they are talking about. I was comfortable having him in my house. He stayed in the bathroom the whole time.

I needed a tile to be reset. The Grout Doctor arrived 15 minutes after I called and completed the repair the next day. Great Job!

We are extremely pleased with how well our grout looks!! Ken was very professional and came out and did an estimate for cleaning and sealing our grout downstairs. Today the technician came out and cleaned our tile and grout and then sealed it. Our grout looks like it did when we moved in 7 year ago (and before child). Once we have some extra money we will definitely call them back to do our upstairs bathrooms and laundry room. If you want a good, honest company call them and see how great your floor can look :)

I was extremely pleased with all the work done. The entire project took about 4 days and they were always on time and very courteous. I am a hands on client and they explained every step of each process as they went along. They took great care in doing their very best work which was very important to me. My home is 15+ years old and after this work has been done it's like having new bathrooms and tile floors throughout. I would highly recommend this Grout Doctor crew to anyone and would definitely use them again.

deciding to paint our bedroom ourselves - we determined that caulking the extensive crown molding (it is a double molding on a roof line with turns and alcoves) and baseboards was beyond our skill set. The gentleman from Grout Dr. came is and not only repaired all the seams on the molding and baseboard- but paid attention to window sills and casings. In addition we had the caulking around a tub replaced, and a kitchen backsplash sealed. our technician was punctual, professional and friendly. The work was completed in a timely and neat fashion. I would definitely look to work with these folks again.
