I’ve recommended them before. They did a great job and cleaned up well after themselves. It’s like they were never here.

Overall, they did a pretty good job. There were some spots where there were paint spots/drips on the crown molding and I have found some missed spots. There were also dark footprint marks on the top of a partial wall. They also spilled paint on our hardwood floors. I was surprised that the initial gentleman didn’t come back out to follow up and the communication was a little difficult with the painters. I really wish he would have come back out. My husband didn’t care for their sign being left in the yard. They completed the job very quickly and we would recommend them to others.

They did it within the time frame of two days. It was a rush job because of a guest coming. They did very well and they cleaned up well after themselves. I felt comfortable having them in my home and they did a very nice job. I would recommend their services to others. My next door neighbor had also recommend them to me. I do wish they had come to reclaim the painting sign that they had left in my yard.

Horrible experience. The discussion with the sales person as to what work would be performed and the actual completed work was far apart. TBT was supposed to be done to cracks in ceiling/walls but they were caulking it instead until I came home and saw what they were doing. Unfortunately I was not able to communicate with the workers at the site and only when the crew chief returned did the caulking stop and TBT was applied to the remaining untouched areas; although I asked for the areas that had been done to be corrected that did not get done. Additionally, other repair items that we pointed out in the initial walk through for the bid did not happen. On top of that, the paint job was so poor that the trim paint was dripping from every possible location onto my recently installed wood floors and upstairs carpet. Cut in was poor and when pointed out during the final walk through, when I just wanted them out of my house, they came back and redid it in certain areas so that now the cut in stands out against the walls that didnt get another coat to match the additional cut in.I could go on and on about things that happened but the main item that caused the F is that the crew stole multiple beers from our garage fridge and was kind enough to leave one of them behind my laundry appliances that I just found this morning. We informed the company immediately upon finding our beer missing and was told they would address it with the crew after our job was finished. I have received no follow up to this supposed discussion. I would NEVER have this company in my house again.

Southern Painting did a great job. They were extremely professional. Nice people to work with. They took great care to protect everything in our home. The ceiling job was a massive job requiring that the entire room be tented. I can't say enough about the care that they took and the job that they did.

It went fine. The only exception which is minor is that the cleanup wasn't that great, but that's pretty normal. Tony was their supervisor. He was good.

Everybody is really happy, and there are three hundred units here. They're very respectful of the people living in the units, and not interrupting their lives. They let you know when they'll be working and are nice and respectful.

My overall experience with them was great. They were awesome. They were all in time. They did a great job. They cleaned up when they were done, you could not even tell they had been there, other than the walls looked great. What I really loved was their sales process. I went there telling this is what I am looking for and he had helped me pick colors and I was able to get a quote, I did not have to wait for a quote. He knew his stuff. We talked about particular paints. He made some suggestions that we really liked. He is a very very good sales guy.

We had just (the week before) had all carpet removed and replaced with engineered wood and had the kitchen countertops replaced with granite and backsplash. We needed to have all the walls spruced up. We had previously had Southern Painting paint the exterior of our home in late summer/early fall and we loved the great job they did. So, we knew the great work they did. Early Monday morning Reyna and her crew arrived to start work. The work was scheduled to be completed in three days and that?s what happened. They were extremely careful with our furniture and new flooring and countertops. They did a superb job in all rooms and the texture matched the walls in our other rooms. They completed the job as scheduled in three days and did a fantastic job cleaning up prior to their leaving. We still need to have the master bedroom and bath repainted but are planning on some upgrades in the bath and want to wait until that is completed. We will always make Southern Painting our painting contractor of choice and give them our highest recommendation!!

They did a great job. this is the second time i used them. I will continue to use southern painting to paint my home. Received the quote, they scheduled the job. when they pressure washed they found some rotted boards and fixed them for what i thought was a very reasonable price. the next day they came and painted. very seamless and very easy process. I do suggest if you use them or any painting service, be sure to check how well they clean up.

I had used Southern Painting Design & Color Center in the past for other houses that we had, but the quote seemed fairly high. I got other quotes too and theirs seemed higher. They seemed professional. They did fine. I think the reason I didn't use them because when we added in the gate to the estimate it ended up being twice my original quote. The price was very, very high. The rest of the house wasn't a bad price, but the added price of the gate was really high. I have been pleased with them in the past when I used them. I am not sure if I would call them again for a quote, because I really like the guys we ended up using.

. I first spoke with Brandon on the phone and set up a time for him to come and give me an estimate on my job. He arrived promptly and had an estimate emailed to me within two hours. He was very high tech and i appreciated that. We agreed on a price and set a date for the workers to arrive, they were right on time and finished the job in two days as promised. We had two other companies bid this job , I am still waiting on a bid from one of them and the other guy was so busy telling me how busy they were that he forgot me as a potential new customer, finally called me several days later with a much higher bid than Southern Painting. These guys are tops in my book. I will definantely call Brandon the next time I need painting and also will request Jose and his crew for the work. Thanks southern Painting

I contacted this company on short notice and Division Manager Dave MacMeeken came out to look at the house to figure an estimate. He was able to quickly schedule a crew to come and paint on Friday and Saturday, Dec 21 and 22 (they were also willing to work through Sunday if necessary). Southern's crew did a great job and met my expectations. The guys actually finished sooner than I thought they would and the only thing that made the actual cost a bit higher than the estimate was that I requested additional work. The only thing they missed was painting under several light fixtures as I had requested. I changed many of the fixtures in the first 2 weeks after moving in, and my handyman used the paint they left to take care of the necessary touch ups. I know Southern would have sent someone back to paint where those old fixtures were hung if I had called and pointed out what was missed, but it was a very quick and easy job for my handyman. Dave MacMeeken and his crew were professional and responsive, and I would hire again.

There were efficient, came in, got it done and left. Their professionalism, service and cleanup were good but I think they were really expensive. If you want somebody that is really professional to come out and do the job and get it over with you are going to have to pay for it; but I think they were expensive. Their responsiveness was real good.

The estimate was prepared clearly and made several valuable recommendations. The work was interrupted by a period of rain, and the company worked carefully to avoid painting in inclement weather. Adding two days to the projected schedule ensured that the final work was completed professionally. I was particularly impressed with the work they did on the fence. The fence was six years old, and the original paint had peeled and left rust spots. The painters had sanded all rusted areas, primed the fence, and returned it to like-new condition. I was very impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of all employees. I had used Southern about 10 years ago on a different house, and both times was very impressed with the work and price. I will definitely use them again.

They came by, gave me an appraisal. I got two others and they were not the cheapest or the highest. I had heard they did great work from a co-worker, so I went with them. They showed up in time - took down my gutters, replaced wood and painted exterior. Two story house approximately 4,000 square feet and they finished it in 2 1/2 days.

Very good service. They are excellent and got really good reviews in the community.

Southern Painting did a top-notch job! I called to schedule and they were out to work just two days later. They finished a HUGE job in just 2 days (inside and outside.) I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the chimney work because it is beyond my expectations. They performed minor texture work before painting, the interior, and they even left me with the matching paint sample for future reference. I was quoted $1,000 more for the same jobs, and that didn't include materials. The workers were very diligent and respectful. I just couldn't be any happier - job was performed with great speed, quality, and price! I will absolutely call them back in a few months for exterior painting. At that time, I will look nowhere else.

They were pretty good. It took a little longer than I expected. They had great communication and professionalism.

I thought they did a good job. I called to have something redone and they did that nicely. I think they are very professional. I had trouble with scheduling the salesman and the power wash, but it was resolved in the end. They did everything they said they would and I have no complaints because they did a good job.

September 21, 2011. We are not interested in getting into a tit-for-tat discussion, but believe the record needs to be corrected. Southern Painting states that they repeatedly tried to respond to our letter. That is untrue. We have caller ID on our phones and know who calls, even if we don't answer a call. All calls are kept in the ID system until we delete them. NO ONE from Southern Painting tried to phone us, nor came to our door regarding our complaint, nor did they send us a letter. Regarding the light fixture screws being put in a vanity -- what vanity? They put the screws in a top dresser drawer in the bedroom and that's where the contractor was looking for them. And yes, he had his hands in the dresser drawer. No doubt about it! We were particularly concerned about catching him with his hands in the drawer, because that particular drawer had confidential information in it (social security card, etc.). Our mistake. We'll never leave items like that in a drawer again, even when the contractor states their crews are bonded. Yes, they did lose a screw cover for the light fixture. There was NO detailed walk-through after the job was completed. The contractors were late getting to their next job and were hurrying to leave our premises. Two of the four-person crew had already been dispatched to their next job, leaving only the foreman and his helper at our home on the last morning. An unhurried detailed walk-through would have resulted in our finding the issues we later brought to their attention. When the tile on the shower frame was broken, the foreman told us about it. To his credit. But later he informed us that his associate, who had gone to the office with our payment, was told by Mr. Wells that "you never, never admit to a customer that you caused a problem." Honesty? Who's being honest? What this tells me is that Southern Painting is more interested in covering their goof-ups than being the upstanding company of integrity that they want to claim. Sad, really. As for problems with other contractors, Southern Painting's account is basically true. We had some issues, which is not unusual in a project of this scope. All issues with other contractors were resolved to our satisfaction. Not so with Southern Painting. As far as unfinished work, the attic access frame still remains unpainted. As for damage, the ceiling is still damaged. As for insults about our ability to be a general contractor, we aren't concerned about this kind of nonsense. We are so disappointed, because Southern Painting really did do an excellent job for us in 2009. But they failed on this project and we would have thought they would have tried to resolve the issues with us. Our big mistake here is that we used Southern Painting, because of their low-cost bid and our previous good experience with them. We should have selected a paint contractor who had good ratings on Angie's List.
