+ 1 moreBrandon and Cory came to our house for an estimate on painting several rooms. It took a few days to receive the estimate, but by then we actually needed them to come back out again to update after an electrician was forced to cut holes in our drywall. My wife also met with their recommended color expert, Sheri, to select colors for her office. Overall, the process was quick and the price fair, so we scheduled the painting for the week of Thanksgiving. We didn't realize the job would take three whole days, but it was a good amount of work, and Mario and his crew were excellent and professional. We will absolutely be using Southern Painting again in the future for both interior and exterior painting work.
Description of Work: Painted three interior rooms of our house and repainted several other scattered walls. Repaired numerous sections of drywall after an electrician cable install.

+ 0 moreI've seen Southern Painting perform work in our neighborhood and knew of its solid reputation. So, I felt very comfortable hiring them for this job and had high expectations. They met and exceeded every one of them. From my initial meeting with Dave through the final walk-through, I was enormously impressed with their professionalism and insistence on going the extra step to get things just right. Not just willing to go the extra step, but insisting on it. They take great pride in their work. Special mention goes to the gentleman who served as the foreman on my job, Miguel. He's been with Southern Painting for 15 years and set the tone for his crew. Miguel was very detail-oriented and ensured that the "small things" were done before I could even ask. He also inspired the best in his crew. You could tell that each member of Miguel's crew took great pride in their work, and it shows in the final product. I had to be away from the house on the last morning of work and wanted to give my payment to Miguel. He refused to accept it until ALL the work was done, and to my satisfaction, even though we were in the final touch-up phase of a three or four day job. I'm very pleased with the work and wouldn't hesitate to hire Southern Painting again.

Description of Work: Cory came out promptly to do estimate. After that, went down hill. He would commit to calling me back but wouldn't. There were questions that needed answers so I could make informed decisions but he failed to get them. Yesterday I was in the process of accepting bid but then an issue came up he was already supposed to have checked on from the first day he came out so I just told him to forget the whole deal. I am extremely frustrated because I wasted 2 weeks working with him. Another issue we had was he couldn't get it straight about what I needed the bid to cover. In fairness, I did change my mind about bidding on 4 rooms, the ceiling in living room and trim for whole house to start and decided to get the bid on the whole house then break it down by the rooms to do first. He never did get it totally correct. We are putting in reclaimed wood floors throughout the entire house as we speak. I was trying to set up painters to start as soon as floors are done. I don't want to pay another month for 2 pods holding all our furniture. He knew all this from the start. He still didn't call me when he said he would so we could get on the schedule. I'm very disappointed. This would not have been a small job and he said he had just gotten a promotion over this territory in his father's franchise. I wanted him to do good. Maybe he just needs a little maturing.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. A crew of 4-5 came out and completed the job in about 6 hours. They were hard workers and showed up when they said they would. They did a nice job with the cleanup afterwards and scheduling the service was easy. Their project manager call right back after I contacted them. I plan on using the company again in the future.

+ -1 moreI really like them. They did such a good job. They were professional and fast. It took them about 4 hours and they even did extra. My AC was broken at the time, it was about 100 degrees in here and they did not complain once. They were super clean. I wished I could give them an A+.
Description of Work: I had them do a bunch of interior painting.They did 18 foot ceilings and walls too. They provided the paint as well.

+ 4 moreSouthern Painting is responsive and professional. The job was done in two days. The painting was 2200 sqr ft of wood, sidings, doors, and trimming for a double-storey house. Rotten wood was replaced seamlessly where required. The crew is meticulous and efficient. I opted for a more expensive paint -- Sherman Williams "Duration" which made the job more expensive, but is thicker and is supposed to last longer. Southern's estimate was 20% more than another provider, but I chose Southern because they came highly recommended and responded to my queries quickly and professionally. I am happy I spent the extra money. The process of painting is as follows: Day 1 they cleaned the entire exterior, filled all gaps, replaced defective wood. Day 2 they sprayed the whole house with undercoat and then color. Day 3 took only 20 minutes -- painting the edges of the front and rear doors.
Description of Work: Paint exterior of home; replace defective wood sidings and panels.

+ -1 moreI got three quotes for this job, Southern was right in the middle. I went with them because they were the ONLY company recommended by anyone I asked. It was expensive - but I was doing the whole house! It was estimated to take a week and a half for all the painting, but Javier and his crew got it done in SIX days! They were there spot on at 9 am every day, leaving at 7 pm. Everything was moved and covered and painting began. I was staying in the house, so they left a couple rooms for me to "live" in while this was all going on, just moving me out when other rooms were completely finished. Everything looks fantastic. They crew was amazing. I could not be happier with the results. I would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Repainted the complete inside of my house. Walls, ceilings and all the trim.

+ 2 moreEric stopped by to provide an estimate on the needed repairs. He gave us the option to use hardie board trim rather than wood trim on the chimney. Minimal cost difference and much better product. He even did some research in trying to find our original 13 year old interior paint color. We were pleased with the estimate and decided to use Southern Painting. The crew showed up on schedule to begin the work. They used a 2-man crew and completed the job by the afternoon. Chimney looks like new and the nail pops in our ceiling are gone. The fascia boards were patched and painted to look much better. We would definitely hire Southern Painting again.
Description of Work: Replaced weathered trim on chimney and repainted chimney, patched some nail pops in ceiling, and patched and repainted 2 damaged fascia boards.

Reina (Foreman/Project Manager) and her team provided outstanding service! Reina and her team showed up on time and completed the project right on schedule. They covered every square inch of my home (floors and every shutter) with new plastic and not one drop of paint landed on my floors, windows or any trim work. They are incredibly meticulous and pay very close attention to detail!! I plan to use them for all my painting needs. I Highly Recommend!! They are fantastic!!

He showed me what needed to be done. He enlightened me on what he thought I need to have done for painting and things like that so I could compare him to others and things to that effect. The person I talked to was great. I would get an estimate from them in the future, I did not use them so I can't speak to the quality of their work.

Description of Work: Southern Painting painted ceilings and walls for three rooms and a hallway in our home in Frisco, Texas. Within a year of the work bring competed we experienced peeling of texture and paint from the upper walls in all areas done by Southern Painting and pop corn ceiling falling. We have filed several complaints with the Dallas BBB, the local franchise owner Mr. MacMeeken, and the corporate office in Austin and have received no satisfaction. Even a former owner/partner stated that this company uses "inexperienced workers". Based upon our experience with Southern Painting there is no way they should have an A rating.

+ -1 moreSouthern Painting completed our paint project on time, on budget and went the extra mile. . .because one of the paint colors was an especially saturated pigment they had to put on many, MANY, more coats that originally estimated. In fact, they had to return to roll on additional coats with even more paint. Really, they could not have done a better job.
Description of Work: Southern Painting provided our estimate, prepped and completed our paint project with amazing results and patience! Really, because of many different external circumstances, I had to reschedule our appointments on more than one occasion and where a lot of other providers might have become frustrated, Dave and his whole organization, from the receptionist, painters and the project manager Will, took everything in stride.

Their prices were less expensive than other painters including the cost of paint. I’m planning on using them again and I‘ve recommend their services to others
