Technician was on time, very professional and identified the issue within minutes. He ordered the spare part right away and my pool was up and running in no time. I also received a hand-written note, which was a very nice touch!

We contacted them after finding them on Angie’s List and seeing that they work with pool wiring. Their price was very competitive. We were very impressed with the owner we spoke with over the phone and he got back with us immediately. They were honest and they provided us with a couple of options in what they could do. It was raining on the day the technician came out but he kept up with the work and did a wonderful job. His professionalism was first rate and the work went very well. Everything was as promised, expected, and everything was great. We are very happy with them and would definitely use them again.

I looked through Angie's List for a pool company that would do pool and spa repairs. I selected a company located in Plano, which is where I live. The reviews seemed okay, so I asked if they had someone that could come out the same day or next day. They called me back and said a tech could be there the same afternoon. The tech called me ahead of time and when I arrived at the house, he had just pulled in, so timing was perfect. I showed him that the spa was spilling over into the pool whenever I turned on the spa. He said it was the valve actuator that had gone bad. I asked how much it woul cost and he did say it would be approximately $550. I imagined it would be significant work and equipment dismantling to justify such a large cost. Well, he had a valve actuator in his truck, so he was able to replace it. The total time it took him to do the work was no more than 30 minutes. I was very shocked that the cost was so high for such a quick and easy job. So I went online to see if the cost could be attributed to the actual valve actuator. I could not find a unit that costs more that $180. I questioned the service providor as to why the extraordinary cost for such a minor repair and they simply said that the technician said that that is the cost and it is what it is. Needless to say, I feel like I was ripped off.... I will pay the bill because I am a man of my word and have integrity. I just wish this company would do the same and recognize that they price gouged me. I would not recommend this company to anyone with pool/spa problems.

I hired them after finding them on Angie’s List. The work turned out okay. They were able to complete the work in under 30 minutes. They quoted me a price and it ended up being a lot higher than he said. They did lower it for me, but it was not as low as originally quoted. They came out on a Thursday and he explained might come back the same day and if not, then next week. The next day, a couple of technicians had just showed up without a phone call. Luckily, my son was here and they were able to complete the work. All of the problems have been resolved and I am satisfied with the work.

It is a very significantly sized project -- including an outdoor pool remodel plus outdoor kitchen/living area, so in the end, a very substantial amount of business for them. They asked up front for a generous 3-4 weeks to come up with a design rendering and a quote to accompany it. We told them that was fine. After not hearing from them for 4 weeks, we followed up (August 14). They assured us the sketches were coming along and they would like to meet a few days later. We did not hear from them after we gave them possible dates to meet to review, so once again, we followed up (Sept. 17). Again, assured us sketches were coming along and could meet the following week or shortly thereafter. Still nothing. I believe we were entirely patient -- if not overly so. It is nearly three months since the initial meeting and we have never had them initiate follow-up, nor have they followed through with any of the designs, meetings or proposals they committed to along the way. RUN VERY FAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN KEEPING THEIR WORD OR DOING ANY HONEST BUSINESS WITH CLIENTS!!!

The person I spoke with on the phone listened carefully to my needs, asked a couple of easy questions and very politely explained that their typical pools start at 65K. I would definitely give them another opportunity should I purchase a new home and would like to build a new pool with a larger budget.

I talked to a lot of pool companies and received a lot of quotes and a lot of different advice, but with Pool Environments, I felt that I could trust them 100% and that they really knew how to address my pool issues. A lot of the other companies told me I needed to totally redo my pool (over $20,000), but Pool Environments said that it was not necessary at this point -- that we should fix the leaks and wait a few years before starting a major project. I really felt like they provided good advice and direction and were not out to simply make a lot of money off of us.

They did a very nice job, were thorough, and were very professional.

We were not happy with service from last provider that was recommended by our pool guy so we turned to Angie's List (which of course we should have done the first time!) and picked Pool Environments Inc. They were prompt, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They reviewed the work done by first company on other pump replacement and said while it was not a great job, it would do. They also provided a significantly better warranty than the first company. We will use them again for any needed repairs.

I wasn't real happy with Pool Environments Inc. They just wanted to do a little patch job. We had a problem with a leak from one of our [00:02:49]. I specifically said that I didn't want it to look like patchwork, like a patch job and that's what they quoted me on anyway. They just wanted to kind of blast out some of the pool decking and then patch it up, even though it wouldn't look the same as the original. I was sort of discouraged with that. I just thanked him and didn't ask him back. They didn't listen. They were responsive to my phone call, that I wanted them to come look at my pool and tell me what could be done, to fix the leak and to fix the problem with the pool coping. They responded. They were here. I called them. We set up an appointment. They said they would come. They showed up when they said they would.

They are courteous, prompt and helpful. They do not try to do things that are outside their scope. They are professional and trustworthy.

My filter pump went out on Saturday morning. I called 3 pool repair companies and 2 of them estimated the cost to repair between $600 - $900 and could not do the repair/replacement of my pump for 3 to 5 days. Pool Enviroments was the only company that suggested it could be a minor repair by replacing the capacitor only at a cost of about $170 and they could do the job in about 2 hours. Within two hours a repairmen came, replaced the capacitor and the pump was running within minutes of his arrival. Absolute total professionalism and honesty above reproach! Great Job!

Off the list of five pool builders we have chosen to talk to at the beginning of the process, Pool Environments came back with the most incredible design and a promise of first class construction quality and the best experience of having a pool built. They absolutely came through beyond all our expectations and more. We've gotten a pool with the most beautiful design in the highest quality of construction. Here is just a list of the reasons why we give them a straight A rating. (We would have given them an A++ if there is one!) 1. Randy Angell, the greatest mind who has the unequal talent and with the most creative vision of style and taste. He was our designer and our salesperson (without throwing any sales pitches at us). He listened to our needs and wants, and took notes of our budget, then came back with a plan that is within our budget, with a design that is artistic, graceful, and of class! My husband, a creative design executive by profession, saw the plan at first sight and told Randy, "You are IT!", without even consulting me (the CFO of the house). Randy stayed with the project way into the process, making sure that the construction was done per plan. We were extremely impressed by the respect that people at PE had for each other. The owner and superintendent would consult Randy at important stage of the construction of the layout, making sure that the pool and surrounding achieves the esthetics of the design. Randy also graciously agreed to design our new landscape. 2. Construction was set to be finished in 8 weeks. It went as smoothly as it could with such a big project, and was completed on schedule. Tom Rozell, the owner of PE was the superintendent for our pool. He holds the highest standards for the materials they use and the craftsmanship that goes with the pool building at every step. He came to the sites often (almost everyday) and early, made sure that everything was done right. With a great sense of humor that is unmatched, Tom made this project of two months seemed not long enough and enjoyable! 3. Nancy Price, the lady in charge of the scheduling, made the whole process as easy as possible for us. Every Friday, Nancy would email/call us to give us heads up of what to expect in the next week. Beside what they do with all their own contractors, she took all the names of the contractors we choose to use for the new fence, the landscape installation, and the solar pool heating system. She contacted all of them on our behalf, coordinated every scheduling as we sat back relaxed and watched this enormous project rolling smoothly in front of our eyes! Nancy is the greatest marionettes puppet master that keeps every part of the whole project going, untangled. 4. With such a huge undertaking in the mercy of the Texas weather, things did not always go as Nancy planned it to. When there was change because of the weather or other things, Nancy would call and apologize for the change, even when the ultimate schedule wasn't compromised. They would move certain things around to maintain the progress of the project, like doing things that can be done during the rain; moving things normally done after the gunite to before it, etc. While we are certainly sure that our pool wasn't the only project going on at the same time for PE, they sure made it feel like it was! 5. It was a fresh experience to have this big project going and NOT to have a huge mess in the backyard! It is unbelievable how neat the working site was kept everyday. Each team worked and cleaned up after themselves. That was a really nice surprise. 6. The Pool School was a thoughtful and necessary education for us as first time pool owners. Mark was thorough, patient, professional, and friendly, just like everyone else from PE. 7. It has been such a wonderful experience, especially for me personally because I got to see how it was really done every step of the way. I have gained a lot of insight from watching the guys working, and have gained so much respect for everyone in the process. PE runs like a well lubricated machine! It was obvious that all the contractors they use have been with them for a long time. And each team knows the other's work really well. There were the excavator, the gunite people, the mason, the stone man, the electrician, the plumber, the decking guys, plaster people... How fascinating just each set of their "toys" alone! I was genuinely amazed and pleasantly entertained at the same time. I shared my observations daily with my family, especially our two children, of how these men worked, ---constantly using tape measures, levelers, markers, --- even for the "simplest" thing like pouring the concrete. There is no "small" job in the world, only "small" men who don't appreciate the "small" things. Everyone was not just building a pool, but truly creating a piece of art of its own put together at the end. The outcome speaks for itself of the kind of standard and artistry Pool Environments holds! 8. We feel very fortunate to have found Pool Environments. We feel that we have chosen a company that is run with respect for their customers, with respect they have among themselves and for their contractors. We feel that PE is the kind of company that is going to be around for as long as we own the pool and beyond. On the first day we met, we were given Randy's and Tom's cell phone numbers. By now, with the pool up and running, we have also been given Mark's number for the maintenance department. There were numerous times when we had to call with our silly questions after hour and on the weekends. We were always greeted with a friendly voice and no question from us was ever stupid for them. We know that PE is there for us. 9. Pool Environments has created a backyard haven for us! It is worth every single penny that we have put in for it! PE is not for everyone because of the kind of quality and standard that set their starting price high on the budget. However, if your budget allows, we highly recommend that you give them a call, visit one of the pools they have built! You won't regret! We feel that we have not only gotten a beautiful pool, we have also made many friends at Pool Environments who will be around to help us enjoy many years of pleasure around our pool. 10. This is the best investment that we have made to ourselves that adds great value to our quality family life together and with our friends. Thank you, everyone, at PE!

Very smooth experience. We were told every week what work will be done the next week, and if there were any changes we were told. Great communication, work ethic, and beautiful work. We're very happy!

The work turned out very well! They are a great company and have good communion. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

They were recommended to me by the company that installed our child safety fence. I was look for estimates and ideas on replacing my old equipment and changing my pool over to salt water. I called and left my information with them and never heard back. I called again the next week and they confirmed they had my information, and said someone would call when they got in. I still haven't heard from them, so it's time to find someone who respects me and my time to call me back.

Overall Marc was a very nice guy and easy to talk to. It was difficult to schedule a time for him and I to both meet due to his busy schedule and time of the year. In the end we were able to meet and he was able to provide me with some benefical information.

After calling a couple of times I received a call from the estimator to set up an appointment. He was late for the appointment. After telling my how much all his customers love him and his work he seemed disinterested in doing the job. He told me he didn't think it was in that bad of condition and since it was only cosmetic I shouldn't repair it. In general I found his attitude arrogant, condescending and less than helpful. I subsequently received bids from other A rated Angie's List contractors that were as much as half the estimate he provided. Also, he never provided a written estimate and seemed to be just throwing numbers off the top of his head.

On the plus side, he arrived early because the prior appointment cancelled. For us, He recommended doing nothing, said we'd get nothing back from redoing the pool, which is acceptable; we did want his honest opinion. He said our pool was not really that bad. Also said he'd be my most expensive bid. Quoted me at >$1200, $1300, $1500 for individual issue, incl pump, filter, heater. Said he'd get me my estimate by the end of next week....which is a very long time to get an estimate. 7-10 days for a bid? Especially when he was spouting high dollar figures right off the bat. It seemed to me he just really didn't want to work on our pool. We will probably get at least some things fixed on our pool, but we will go with a different company.

My pool guy told me I should look at getting my pool re-plastered. I reached out through the internet and within an hour I had a reply back from Ted Anderson. He and I discussed the condition of my pool and together we decided now was not the right time to re-plaster as my pool didn't suffer from any of the ailments described. We did also discuss the draining and re-filling of my pool, which was also very helpful. When the time does come that the pool needs help, I'll definitely reach back out to this company...prompt, professional and courteous! Thank you!

Various lighting and price options were quoted and service completed right away. Technician was very knowledgeable and made some other recommendations for our pool to operate more efficiently. Will definitely use this business in the future. (The B rating on "price" is my own sticker shock concerning the price of a lightbulb!)

They came out and gave me a bid and everything was fine.

My husband dealt with them and was very pleased. He felt they really knew what they were talking about. The service technician had gotten the wrong phone number somehow, but showed up at the house and knocked on the door to let us know that they were unable to call us back but didn’t want us to think they weren’t trying to get back to us. They were really good.

We have thought, for a long time, that we needed to resurface our dark bottom, twenty year old pool. Ted came out and told me that we didn't need too and actually told me that our pool looked really good, but he would do it if we wanted to spend some money. He explained why our steps were a little rough. I loved talking to Ted and really enjoyed his professionalism. We look forward to working with Pool Environments in the future, attending "Pool School" and getting a new pool vac with all the money we saved!!

The work was done on time and with high quality. The job site was cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each work day. Either the sales representative or job foreman came by the job site almost every day and sometimes multiple times. As with any large job there are always some unexpected complications. However, any issues were always resolved to our satisfaction in a timely manner. We are completely satisfied and would highly recommend Pool Environments to anyone planning a remodel.
