Nadine Floor Company

After talking to a handful of places found on Angie's List, we went with Nadine because they were the most responsive of the group and the price was right. Our sales rep was helpful on our initial in store visit, and followed up with an onsite visit prior to our home closing. We made the purchase a week or two prior to our planned installation date, but when the schedulers called they told us they couldn't get us in for a month. We pushed back, letting them know they had not informed us of the backlog in the month we had been in conversation with them. After working their schedule, they were able to fit us in between other installations so we could get the work completed prior to moving in as we intended. The crew that came out was fast and good. They leveled the floor one morning and the floor was completely installed the next day. We haven't had any trouble with their craftsmanship, and they came back after I finished the tile installation to place the transitions and tack the carpet down to finish the job. The only thing we aren't certain about is the quality of the product. We aimed for a middle of the road, five inch plank, engineered product and went with a name brand that was recommended. So far we have found the flooring is softer than what we had put in our previous house from a surplus outlet. Hardness and durability was definitely one of the things we considered in our purchase and we were told these floors were some of the best available at the price. I worry about the longevity of the product, but I'm not sure there is anything they can or will do for us.

We went to the store at Coit Rd & Parker in Plano. Curtis was the sales rep and he carefully responded to all our questions. No condescending tones. He let us take sample pieces of wood home to check against our furniture etc. We got a quote that was in the ballpark of two other quotes.The workers came as promised, and finished in two days. The workmanship is very good and we are pleased. They cleaned up after themselves.The selection of wood and quality are decent. We actually liked a hickory from a different store and showed him a sample, which he was able to procure even though it was not stocked in the store.

Called to try to get a quote and never received a call back. After a few days I called back and they set an appoint to get quote. Geronimo showed up on time and looked at the issue and said they could start the next day. I asked him for a written estimate. He said ok, and I never received it and I moved on to another company.

The installers were on time and finished as estimated. They cleaned up after each day and were polite and helpful.

It was great! They did the whole project within a week. They were very efficient. They pulled up the carpet, very tidy, and the floors look great. The communication was good and pricing was fair. I would recommend them.

Overall we will use them again the price was good and the people were professional.

.We enjoyed working with the designer. She did a good job at listening and doing what we wanted them to do. They did the job on time. They cleaned up after they were done. They were wonderful.

The 3 man crew arrived 1/2 hour late as quoted in proposal. The crew was pleasant. There was some lack of communication between the scheduler/sales dept and the install team. I had specifically stated to the sales rep that wrote the proposal that if they were not going to remove and re-install the perimeter molding, that I wanted them to install white quarter round molding, to hold the edges of the vinyl in place to keep from curling. This request was noted in the proposal. When the job was almost finished, I noticed that there was no quarter round molding in place. When I ask the team leader if he was going to install the molding, he said he was not given instructions to install it. It took several calls to get it resolved. While I am generally satisfied with the outcome of this project, I don't believe that I would choose this company for any future projects.

They were very good. They were quick and on time. The job they did was good. I would use them again.

We received 3 quotes. One was almost $2,000 more than the other two. Nadine and another vendor's quote were comparable, but I was impressed with Nadine's rating on the BBB and on Angie's List. In my opinion, the installer in a job of this scope is KEY. On day 1 of the job, the tile team headed by Efrin came to bust up the old ceramic tile in the hall, kitchen, laundry, and main bath. They covered doorways, cabinets, and furniture with plastic. They had a difficult time removing the tile and said that our house was challenging because the mortar was so thick. They worked so very hard! It took two solid days to remove everything. They cleaned up well at the end of every day. On day 3, they laid the tile and on day 4, they grouted. I am glad I asked about sealer, because they were able to mix the grout with some type of sealer instead of "painting" it on later. They put new primed quarterround back on and caulked. It looks absolutely fantastic and we are very pleased! On day 5, the wood team of Heladio and Josegil arrived. They removed the furniture and baseboards with great care, then removed the old carpeting and tackstrips. They leveled the floors of the first 2 rooms (den and foyer). The installation started on day 6 in those two areas. Once they would finish with an area, they would shift the furniture around to get to the next area. We had a concern on the 3rd day (a Sunday) and called Nadine. The head installer (on another job site) came to our home to speak to my husband in person. He assured us that everything would work out, and it did. My husband has laid an engineered floor before and was satisfied with the solution; Nadine lived up to their word. It took the men 5 days to do the wood, but we were only out of our bedroom for one night. You can carefully walk on the finished wood areas almost immediately, unlike with the tile. The floor looks amazing! Considering all the shifting of furniture, tools, and materials, I was amazed that my walls and even moldings didn't get damaged. Of course, I will need to paint the baseboards now but I expected that. I love that Nadine doesn't put down quarterround with the wood (unless you want it) but rather fits the wood so precisely that they can just caulk. We have a curved bottom step in the hall, and the way they fit the wood around it was pure artistry in my opinion. Even my husband was impressed with the quality of the work. There are two things that I feel could have been improved. One is that I would have liked a more detailed quote. The second is that I think a higher-quality plastic for covering things would be better because the thin plastic sheets they used would blow whenever a door was opened (which was a lot). We would definitely use Nadine again and thank Mr. Ishmeel (Plano East store) for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be recommending Nadine to our friends. It's good to know that there still are businesses whose mission is to please the customer. Mission accomplished!

Everyone we dealt with at Nadine was very courteous and helpful, beginning with Musa, our salesperson. He was a great help in selecting our carpet. We had narrowed it down to a couple of types, and he actually discouraged us from getting the more expensive of the two because of how it shed. He brushed the carpet sample onto his black shirt so that we could see the fibers -- something we wouldn't have thought to do -- and this is really helped us in our decision-making since one of our children has asthma. He never hesitated to bring additional samples out to our house, and accommodated our schedule. When we asked his opinion on their various products, or even just a shade of carpet or wood, he gave us an honest opinion -- not just what he thought we wanted to hear. The installation of both the carpet and wood went very smoothly. The installers were punctual, courteous, and did a great job in cleaning up the site when they were finished. In all phases, everyone we had contact with at Nadine has been wonderful, and their prices were competitive! I have recommended them many times to friends.

We visited their showroom after being referred there from another flooring store. We specifically wanted cork and were told they had it. After checking Angies List we decided to give them a try. Their selection is very good, and the sales staff was adequate. The salesman that helped us was not very good at following up and his responsiveness was lacking a little. However, the end product was excellent. We were told that the installer would caulk the gaps under the dishwasher and the refrigerator and that was not done. However, this wasn't a big deal and the installer did a great job. The final product met our expectations and looked excellent. We would use them again, although we would choose a different sales person.

Nadine Floor Co Nadine Floor Co, didn't go to well. They showed up without proper equipment. After they removed the tile, they didn't completely clean the floor the pink stuff was still on the floor, so my husband and I had to clean it ourselves.

They were very difficult to work with. We chose another company because of that. They were horribly disappointing. They had difficulty in finding our products, which was not a difficult product; it was cork flooring. It is a fairly common item. They were also expensive. They just didn't know what product we were talking about. We were not impressed with the company at all. We would not get another quote from them. We would also not recommend them to others.

Went very well. Sales team very helpful and thorough with estimate and what to expect. Workers showed up on time and installed carpet as planned. No problems. A few months later I had the kitchen and extra room upstairs installed. This process went smoothly as well with no hassle. After installation of tile, there were a couple of cracks in the grout at the door thresholds. They came out right away and repaired the problem. Great company to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall Nadine floors did a great job for an amazing price. We absolutely love our Bella Cera wood floors and the beautiful inlaid porcelain tiles. Ishmael and his installation team were dependable, friendly and easy to work with. We shopped all over town and were very knowledgeable on the price for the Bella Cera wood floors and the porcelain tile that we wanted. Ishmael presented us with a bid that beat other competitive offers by a significant amount. Ishmael's estimate was handwritten on the back of his flyer but we were comfortable dealing with him based on our Angie's List research, BBB review and our assessment that he was a man of his word. Also, we believe that the true measure of a company is how they conduct themselves when there is a problem. Ishamel passed with flying colors when we did encounter a problem with the installation of the tile in the master bath. He personally came to our home and stated that his measurement for determining the quality of the installation was "Would that be acceptable in my own home?" He looked at our installation & immediately stated that they would return to remove and reinstall the porcelain (at no additional cost to us) and assured us that we would be pleased with the finished product and we were. Shop around and we think you will find it hard to beat Nadine Floors' bid & know they stand behind their assurance of quality installation.

Nadine's executed very well. Work took 4 days (Wed through Sat). The only disconnect was that the contract stated "R & R baseboards as required." However, the baseboards were not removed, instead, quarter round molding was placed around the perimeter of the room. The quarter round actually matched the rest of the house, so we didn't really mind, but I did think that the baseboards would be removed and replaced as stated. You might want to double check for your project. Overall, I would use Nadine's again for flooring work.

We ordered our floor tiles from Nadines in mid February 2011. In March I left town because my dad was in the hospital in critical condition. When I returned home 2 weeks later (mid-March), I phoned the salesman at Nadines to see if our tiles were in, since we had not heard from them before this time. I was told they were in, and they graciously agreed to hold the tiles at their warehouse while I dealt with details from my dad's death. We picked them up in April. During installation of our floor in May, (not done by Nadine's) we discovered approximately 10 boxes with broken tiles. Upon calling the salesman to see if they would replace the broken ones, his first response was, "They came to us like that." He was not wanting to stand behind what he sold us. He told us they were discontinued (true, but he left out this detail when selling them to us), and he couldn't find any more. He said he had called the manufacturer (NOT true). When we phoned the manufacturer ourselves, they told us he had never checked with them. He eventually replaced the broken boxes, reluctantly. When we reached the end of the installation project, we figured out that he had padded his measurements and oversold us 300 square feet of tile. We didn't know at the time we ordered because the salesman did the initial measurements.

They repainted all of the baseboards before reapplying them and did a great job laying tile in an odd shaped room. A few months after installation of our wood floor we had a slab leak and had to replace a small portion of the flooring. They were able to do so without any problems.

Liked the product and the price ($10,000.00), but when they delivered the quote, it was not in writing and the pricing was not presented in a professional way. He just put the final figure on a piece of paper. I asked for an itemized estimate, but the response was, "we will work it out." I was uneasy about that approach so I used another contractor.

The install crew showed up within 5 minutes when they said they were going to every day. They took great care in moving my furniture out on day 1 and they placed felt pads underneath all of it as they moved it back. (They had asked me to get felt pads). I just have a minor complaint over the replacement of some of the baseboards that didn't get back as good as they were to begin with. We had some film on the floor the day after installation so I called to confirm if it was mineral spirits they said they cleaned with and they insisted on sending someone out to clean them at noon the next day. The install supervisor was back right on time to clean the floors. Manuel was the supervisor of the install team I had.

Nadine was the only company that we contacted that wanted to tackle our project. Due to the height differences between our existing hardwood floor and the new engineered wood floor, we had a situation where our baseboards would show a gap that the standard quarter round would not cover. Nadine's installers came up with an innovative way to address the solution and we were impressed. This saved us having to rip out all of the existing baseboards and the cost associated with doing that. The door trim moldings could have been matched better, but that was a hard task and that was not expected to be a 100% rectified by Nadine. In the end we may just re-do the frames but that is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and we are not in a hurry to do that. They finished the job in just under 7 days. Overall, the installers were courteous and were very mindful that we still had to live in the house while they performed the work. It's only been a week since they finished, but we would wholeheartedly recommend Nadine to anyone.

It is was very good. They were very prompt and very courteous. The workers were really nice and did a good job. I have no complaints whatsoever.
