We have been customers with them for about 22 years now. Their prices are reasonable and they are always reliable. I have never had any issues with them at all. I also have a service contract with them. They come when they say they are going to come and they are always professional.

I replaced all the parts for approximately $160 which is less than the price of their contactor alone. Dallas HVAC supply tested my capacitor and told me it was good so I actually have spare parts for next time.Had my system up and working the next day in less than two hours. I'll never call them again.
Description of Work: i had Service Experts replace our HVAC system several years back. I have always used them for service until two years ago I was charged $350 to replace a $25 capacitor. Last week the condenser motor went out and I called Service Experts for a quote. The motor $670, capacitor $200, contactor $175. This did not include labor. I was dumbfounded. I called Dallas HVAC supply. Motor $119, capacitor $27, contactor $24.

We have used them before and we had satisfactory results with them. They had good price on the work and very thorough job. They even cleaned up the drain, which is not usually done when one gets the a/c maintenance done. They arrived on time, which was important to us because we have four cats that needed to be isolated away from the floor. We requested them to give us the nearest possible time and they did, which was unusual for them. Usually, they just say in the morning. We had the service rep get down between 8 and 9, so they got here at 8.30. They were clean. They did a good cleanup. We had absolutely no complaint with them. They could have done a little better because they took only an hour and a half. We weren't going to fight about it because we wanted them to be done. They explained us along what was happening, which we didn't expect.

I have used this company for the last 6 years, as they were the company to install in my new home in Frisco. Every summer they have to come out and replaced the capacitor, they have never said that my unit needed to be replaced. Now that it is no longer under warrenty, they are saying that the capacitor is just a temporary fix and will continue to go out as my unit does not support it. They tried to get me to buy an entire new system! I asked if the capacitor would fix the problem for now, and they said yes and it would probably last for several months. So I had them do that and paid close to $300. The next day, we could tell that the unit was not blowing out cold air. I called to have a tech come out, but they said that they would have to charge me another service call fee! Even though I had just paid one the day before and it was obvious that the entire problem had not been addressed. The previous tech had not checked the freon levels, so even if that was the only problem, they were still going to charge me more money for a service fee. Outragous when I had just paid for one the day before, and the tech obviously didn't do a full check of things. The tech on the phone was VERY RUDE to me and said that it was my fault for letting the other guy leave before fixing everything. I had no way of knowing if the air would blow out cold enough to cool the room, as it was a cool day when he "fixed" it. It wasn't until the next day, when it warmed up that we could tell it was not cooling the room. Tech said it was still my fault and that if he came out, he would charge me a service fee. Very rude and unprofessional. I WILL NEVER use this company again!!!!
Description of Work: Put in a new capacitor, then sent another guy out to try and sell me a new unit once he knew mine was no longer under warranty.

Service experts worked with us well to move the date when we had to change. Gave us a reminder call the day before. Also called when tech was a half hour away. The tech was very courteous and went about his business. When complete, advised me of what he had done. Also had some suggestions for me to consider. He did not push me on those. Having used Services Experts for a number of years at two different locations, my concern is that there is no discount for multiple units at the same location sitting side by side. It seems to me that there should be a significant multi-unit discount. They only make one trip, climb stairs once. etc. Definitely saves on their time at the location as well as travel. While I like the service, I may have to consider other options.

Service Experts tried to sell me a new HVAC unit for more than $6000 after telling me the unit was out of warranty. Amana confirmed to me that the unit was still under warranty for parts. Called another HVAC company who repaired my unit for $85. The part was under warranty. Service Experts is to fast to sell new equipment. The Tech and salesman must get a good commission for. Sale. Can't trust if the work being done is needed.
Description of Work: Service Experts were called to service an HVAC unit that was not working. Service Experts had installed the unit 5 years prior. Tech said I needed a new unit. Within 10 min a salesman arrived and said I needed a new unit. I asked if the unit was under warranty to which I was told no. I was given an estimate of over $6000 to replace the HVAC unit. I called Amana and was told that my HVAC unit was still under warranty. I then called another HVAC repair company who came out and fixed the unit for $85. The part they installed was under warranty. Think Service Experts are to quick to see a new unit. The Tech and salesman must get a nice commission for each sale. Would not trust them for this reason. The work they do is great but you will never know if the work done was needed.

Since moving to Texas I have only used Service Experts, formerly known by me as Kruger's, with whom I had a contract. I decided not to renew with them because they told me that my A/C unit was about to fall apart - that was over 18 mos. ago, and it is still working. I contacted my home insurance company, they showed me their CO readings, and there was no leak. I think the company pushes their representatives to reach certain sales numbers, and the policy is counterproductive. It is a shame that I feel I can no longer trust them, as I still have to find a replacement for their services. When legitimate work had to be done, they were very good.
Description of Work: They responded quickly to problems, fixed them to my satisfaction, were thorough and courteous. They also told me that a heating unit was leaking carbon monoxide.

I'd love to give you all the details however...after years of promises, guarantees and dancing around warranties (till they expire) they like to sell their products not repair their products. We had to sign a gage order and AGREE to disagree, even though a supervisor sat down at our kitchen table and say we should have never been charged the last couple of visits including the freon charge! BBB of Dallas is investigating the matter!

Both the Service Tech and the Sales Consultant told me that I needed a new HVAC unit because the fan motor and high pressure safety were bad. They also said the compressor was most likely bad as well. I was quoted a price of $788 to fix the AC unit with a new motor and high pressure safety or purchase a new unit for $$4290 (without a Coil) or $5110 with a Coil. The AC unit was installed by Kruger's Service Experts in May 2007. I asked if the current AC unit was still under warranty and was told flat out NO. The sales consultant said the Amana AC unit only has a 5 year warranty. I told them that I would call them after considering their quote. I called Amana and was told that the AC unit was still under warranty for all parts until May 2017. I called another HVAC repair service who came to my home and inspected the Amana AC unit. They found a faulty Capacitor that was replaced under the Amana warranty. I was only charged labor/service call of $80.00. I have been dealing with Service Experts for the past 14 years. 7 with Kruger and 7 with Service Experts who purchased Kruger is 2007. I am very disappointed in the way my AC unit was inspected and diagnosed. If I had gone with their recommendation to purchase a new AC unit, it would have cost me $5100 or a repair of $788. The Capacitor was replaced under warranty. Service Experts should have know the AC unit was still under warranty. I only hope that their rush to have me purchase a new $5100 AC system was a mistake and not an intentional fraud.
Description of Work: Service technician came to my house to resolve an air conditioning outage. He arrived and spent less than 5 min inspecting the outside unit when he advised that I would need an entire new HVAC unit. He went into the attic for about another 5 min and said he called the Residential Sales Consultant to come over to provide a quote for a new HVAC unit.

He was very clear on the product choices, the pros/cons, and professional when discussing other companies. He responded to phone calls and email quickly when I had further question. Jeremy was great. The operator said she would send someone out as soon as they could on a Sunday. Jeremy called me soon after. He arrived when he said he would. He explained the problem and gave a solution. He went the extra mile by suggesting savings program by purchasing the maintenance program that gives discounts on service calls, etc. At the end of the day I'll have a year maintenance agreement that was free today. Also gave advise on things to look for in the future. Well done Jeremy!

We have lived in our house for 9 1/2 years, and have never used anyone other than Service Experts. They have always been punctual and very thorough inspecting our equipment. The few repairs we have had were reasonably priced and always performed promptly. They are clean, and never leave any mess. They wear paper booties over their shoes when inside the house.

upon inspection of furnace, discovered that it was old, outdated and rusted through in some spots. recommended furnace replacement. while reviewing other options, i decided to have the a/c unit replaced as well. unit was not large enough to cool the entire house since some extra sq footage had been added on to the house. I ended up purchasing and new furnace and a new a/c unit. was very pleased with the end results of the new furnace and a/c unit.

With the Texas heat I figured I should have an AC checkup before I needed an AC repair. The tech came, checked coolant levels, checked the unit outside and ducts in the attic. They did a great job!

Francisco was the technician that came out to inspect my A/C and furnace. He made sure that all was working properly. This was just a preventive maintenance being done. He did suggest to get a CO detector. He was professional and knowledgable. I would use their services again.

My wife & I purchase a fixer upper house in March. I ordered an AC tune-up with Service Experts so they could come and get the AC going. As it turned out the "computer" had been disconnected. The tune up was going to turn into a bigger deal visit and that was fine - I needed the AC to get going. After the "expert" investigated the wiring and panel he concluded it was non-functional and that we need a whole new system. I was sceptical but asked for a quote. Their supervisor came around and it was going to be anywhere from 2000-4000 depending on what we do. I then got Sam's Heating to come over for a 2nd opinion and I am glad I did. The panel was not broken it just needed wiring back up and it worked fine - see separate review. I would NOT hire service experts. Their specialist could not get the system working. By the way, he hardly spoke English also.
