Just Mowing

It was not good to work with them. Unless we request them to come out they usually treat during the off season as a break and then they were supposed to come back during the spring season and they came in and we told them three times to tell us what they are doing so that we can put the grass and also to give us one specific day or two days. When we requested that suddenly they had no more space to sell us supplies and they said they are sorry as they don't work in this area. They used to come on random days at random times and it has happened at least three times. The price was around $30 which is high around here. We would look at using a different company. We wouldn't recommend them at all. They are the only ones that are expensive here. They were professional but not helpful.

We were advised that our regular lawn service day would be on Thursdays. They did arrive each Thursday in May/June at around 5 pm each week (which was fine). They did mow, weed eat and edge each week and the service was acceptable (not great, but acceptable). When I originally contracted with them, I advised them that we had two small dogs. They told me that they would not mow if dogs were present in the yard. That was not an issue as I am always at home and am able to close the doggie door and confine the dogs to the house. However, I did ask that they always make sure that they close and latch the gates when they complete the service each week. I had also asked the crew not to open the gate on the north side of the house as it is hard to open/close and re-latch. Last week, the crew opened the gate on the north side of the house and closed it when they finished their service (this was captured on our video surveillance camera). However, they did not re-latch the gate. I did not realize that the gate had been opened nor did I realize that the latch was not engaged. On Friday evening/Saturday morning, a small storm blew through the area and blew the gate open. Our seventeen year old dachshund escaped through the open gate on Saturday morning and we have not recovered him. Once we realized that the dog was missing, we reviewed our surveillance camera video footage and saw the dog escape through the open gate and also saw the lawn service personnel opening the gate on Thursday. There is absolutely no doubt that they failed to re-latch the gate as it must be latched from inside the yard and the crew member exited the yard through the gate and did not go back inside to re-latch it. When I contacted Just Mowing to advise them that this had happened and terminate their service, they did not even offer an apology. The only response was and quot;call us if we can assist you in the future.and quot; I think not.

The crew arrived on the date specified and mowed, edged and trimmed my front and back yard. They were quick and the job was well done. I am pleased and highly recommend them!

They've done a great job so far! Our yard looks wonderful when we get home. They've avoided our landscaping and even kept a couple smaller trees safe. I'm very happy with their work.

I signed up with justmowing and the crew arrived in the afternoon,mowed,trim and blew under 30 minutes.They were very fast and now my grass looks great.Now I don`t worry about doing my lawn in Texas heat,especially at my age

I recently switched my lawn service to Just Mowing. For some reason when I first told them that I wanted to use them, they set me up to have my lawn mowed every 2 weeks instead of the weekly service that I wanted. I don't know anyone in my neighborhood that can get away with mowing their St. Augustine every two weeks (it gets too long). Anyway, a week after they mowed it for the first time (leaving enough cut grass on top of my lawn with the their mulching mowers that my yard stinks of rotting grass), they didn't show up. So, when I called them they told me that I was scheduled to have my grass cut every two weeks. I told them I wanted it cut every week and they said they could change me to a weekly schedule but they could not come out to cut my lawn until the following week (meaning my grass would go uncut for two weeks). I went ahead and agreed to it, and they cut my grass, but again left enough cut grass on top of my rear lawn that it stinks of rotting grass (they did do a one-time bagging of cuttings on my front lawn due to do the excessive length of the grass). Since my lawn had two weeks of growth on it, I have decided I will let them cut it once or twice more to see what a regular schedule looks like on my lawn. However, if their mulching mowers don't do any better than they have thus far, I will have to find another service. They don't offer the option to bag the grass on a regular basis, but their mulching mowers are apparently not of the quality necessary to work well on St. Augustine (the first time they cut it, the yard only had 6 days of growth on it). If the mowings improve to the point where they are not leaving large amounts of dead grass on the top of my yard, I will continue to use them. At least they are not breaking things in my yard like my last lawn service provider.

Have been using for weekly mowing and edging service but the quality is just continually going down hill. Have contacted the office with the issue and they are very responsive but nothing changes. They mow the grass wet and in the pouring rain leaving clumps across the yard and tracks in low areas. They also continue to blow debris from the street on the grass for us to rake up. We used this company when they first started and they were fantastic. Now it seems that their contractors are just not up to par with what they state they are providing.

Request for service and general information was answered promptly. Prices are based on size of overall lot footage and fair. Use of credit card to pay is very convenient and is applied the next day after service. Thank you for this referral.

First Mowing. Generally mowed and trimmed ok but only mowed 1/2 of a small section separating my lot and neighbors, when they agreed to mow the entire small area when we set up the service. The second mowing they failed to mow that entire area. There edge trimming was only fair both service calls. I have numerous large trees in my yard. They naturally drop some small branches of limbs from time to time and larger ones when there is strong winds. Though I pick these up when I notice them, the lawn crew mows over the small branches and throws larger ones into the street. In calling to complain, I was informed that the service policy is not to pick up any kind of debris on the yard. So I believe just Mowing is exactly that. They are certainly unlike any other lawn service I have had, and not worth using for the little I saved by using their service. For anyone who cares about their lawn and wants their lawn to look good and be debris fee after mowing, this Just Lawns service is a poor choice. I was attracted to use this service by a flyer I received in the mail at my home, which required that I call a local Austin Phone Number. Now I find out that there is really no Austin office, but that my call was forward to their Dallas office. Misleading?

They apparently subcontract out their lawn mowing to people who could care less. They do not do a professional job.

If you are looking for full service landscaping this is not the right service. However, if you want straight forward, no muss, no fuss lawn mowing and edging with cleanup of the trimmings, these are your guys! They provide a quote based on square footage of your lawn and are very transparent about what they will do and how much it will cost ... then they do it! They show up and complete their work in 30 mins or less and are very consistent so far (we've been using for about 2 months). NOTE: They do not do things like trim hedges or weed flower beds, etc. They can recommend groups for that but this is purely lawn mowing and edging ... period.

Unprofessional company!! I used their website to schedule service, it gave me a price and let me choose a day to start service. The website asked for a credit card and gave me a receipt. It also stated that I would receive a confirmation call. By 11 am on the scheduled day of service I hadn't received my confirmation call. So I called them. I had put in the special notes that this house was vacant and for sale and needed service until it sold or rented but I would commit to 5 weeks regardless. The customer service rep told me they couldn't help because I needed to sign up for the entire season May-November. The website even allows for a one time mowing!! Guess honesty upfront isn't appreciated by this vendor as they told me I could cancel service at anytime w/o penalty.

Office is clueless and only wants your money. Never again.

They cut my grass so short, I now have virtually no grass in my front yard. They also left my backyard gate open and I have a dog. Other than that they did come when scheduled, edged and bagged all the clippings. But since I was not completely satisfied and I really have no grass left for them to mow, I cancelled the service.

I've had them service my lawn 3 times since the initial service and I've been pleased. They are also very non intrusive and professional if you happen to talk to them.

Overall - they cut the grass and that is it. The quality against the price was as expected. Another point of improvment is to have a t least one crew member who speaks english on the team, as I do not speak Spanish and communication was at times difficult with the team members.

I placed the original order on-line after finding them on Angie's List but had to reschedule the first visit the day before they were supposed to come. The gentleman I talked with was very friendly and took care of the rescheduling right away. I will be using Just Mowing every other week; if all continues to go well, I'll definitel keep them as my lawn care company! Thanks Angie's List!

they come they mow and trim Update-April 9, 2013... Last Week husband was called about my review(above) and the phone call i made to them. He told them to call me. I have not head from them. They showed up today and finished before 5. Today the mow was great and so was the trim..... Problem is I had asked, when i called, that they not come in my fenced in patio area any more. They came rite into the fenced in patio area, and once again polin dust and grit under my doors and all over from the blowers.

I'm a little disappointed because when I set up this new lawn service I said any day will do, I do not care which day I'm given. I was not told that the one day he and quot;happenedand quot; to book me under, actually costs a dollar extra. The flyer I received in the mail was either deceiving or confusing because I thought I was going to be charged less for such a small lot; however, entering my address in their online system did provide the correct pricing so I won't fault them there. They did a good job mowing, I'm still very pleased, and will still continue to use JustMowing more than likely.

I have been a client of Just Mowing for almost a year, and just found out they were on Angie's List. I contacted them shortly after I moved into a new house and it was so easy to set up service. The contact people are always friendly and flexible, and I love having the service billed to my credit card. I also love the calendar they provide that tells me which days my service is scheduled. To my knowledge they have never missed a day! In addition, when I called to suspend service over the winter I was advised they do that automatcally, and start up again in March (which just happened with no contact required). I have been VERY happy with all aspects of their service!

Just Mowing has been great. One phone call got me signed up and a mowing day assigned. I signed up for the twice a month plan. Every mowing day a small crew arrives and they immediately get to work. We have a smaller yard, and they make pretty quick work of it, but I have always been happy with the results. We received a letter last fall informing us of our last mowing date ( winter was approaching ), and I have already received another letting us know when mowing will resume. No muss, no fuss. One phone call to set it up, and afterwards, I just pay the monthly bill.

We have used this service weekly for the past three years. They are prompt, fast, never miiss an appt and do an awesome job. The are non intrusive. Customer service is great and easy to reach. You can cancel an individual service, change frequency, change times, etc. with ease. Hassle free. A++++

When my neighbor was unable to do my yard even though he is in the landscaping business, I signed on to Angies website and found Just Mowing. I went to the company's website and preregistered. They called as promised and set up an account for weekly mowing, etc. They were here within 24 hours. They understandably charged me extra that first time due to the height of my grass. Thereafter they came every Thursday around noon and did their jobs and left. I had a special request that I called in to the office (workers did not speak English) as instructed by the literature they had sent. This was promptly and professionally handled. And the workers adhered to it each time they mowed. The whole experience was seamless. I will use them in 2013. I highly recommend them!

I have been very pleased with this company. They are punctual and do a nice job of mowing and edging my yard from March through November. Since I have used them for 6 years, it goes without saying that they do a professional job. They are always punctual, my payment is automatically made through my credit card, and if I decide I want to skip a week of service I simply make a phone call. There is never a problem contacting the company because they always have someone that answers the calls not just an answering machine.
