Called John's Appliance Repair mid morning and John was here in a couple hours after that. Very please with the whole experience. John was very professional and took the time to explain what problems were with the washer and dryer and have them repaired in just under an hour. Will use again as the need arises.

Easy scheduling, fast service.

I called John's and they came to the house in about 2 hours. Bryan diagnosed the issue in about 10 minutes and replaced the heating element in about 20 minutes.

As usual, scheduling was a cinch. I spoke to John's at 7:30am, and the technician was here by noon, well within the 2 hour window they had allotted. Aaron had been to our home once before, over a year ago, but he remembered and was very polite, pleasant, and professional.He assessed the broken dishwasher, disassembled the front panel to check the electrical connections. I could see his approach was methodical, and began with the common and simple problems.He showed me how the main electrical wiring had overheated and literally melted through the plastic insulation and burned up the plastic splice caps.He also showed me that the original parts were inferior (ie; splice cap was too large, and the wires hadn't been stripped off to an appropriate length for such a connection).He carefully removed the damaged wiring and reconnected the dishwasher.Then he checked for other electrical problems, such as short-circuits (fortunately, none were found).The dishwasher was back in action, he tested the dishwasher and then put everything back together and cleaned up.It took about 45 minutes.As an aside, since he knows we are thinking about upgrading the kitchen, he also offerred me a "cheat sheet" of appliances that he felt were more reliable (ie; few service calls, and better design and construction).In my three dealings with this company, I've remained impressed by their work ethic.These people really love what they do, and it shows.

After dealing with "Glenn's", we called "John's". The tech came out - I think his name is Brian - and looked at the blinking light on the display. He made a call (don't know who, but someone that knew what they were talking about) and fixed the problem. I suppose that is the benefit of dealing with someone that knows what they are doing. In about 15 minutes, the problem was fixed. It was something simple, but I never would have found it. Totally worth the $65 service call. All future appliance repairs will go through John's. I only wish they were open on Saturdays...

The service person arrived on time and was very respectful and friendly. He checked out the oven and told me what was wrong. He gave me an estimate, but I decided not to get the repair done. The estimate seemed fair, but was simply more than I wanted to spend on an old oven. The service person was accepting of my choice. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitly use this company again for any appliance repair needs.

I was able to easily schedule the visit by phone. I spoke to John Martin himself, who schedules his own visits. I described the problem to him and he knew what the problem was going to be before he even arrived. He had the right part already on the truck and did the job right away at a very fair price. Excellent service.

Was 5 minutes early. Fixed the dryer for free, because he just giggled the door switch and got it working again. Had him do the freezer fix and added the washer hoses because he was already there and I needed those done anyway. Clean, excellent work. A pleasure to do business with these folks.

I called them to look at dryer as it wasn't working. The technician came out, diagnosed problem and discussed prs and cons to getting it fixed vs buying new. Quoted me a price for fixing. Called back an hour later, said he spoke with owner and they decided to just charge for parts. It was a no brainer for getting it fixed then. They ordered the parts and fixed the dryer when they came in. The tech even cleaned out the inside 'ribs' of the debris that had collected over the years and was making loud rattling noises. My dryer is quieter than it's been in years.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List, as well as, giving weight to the number of reviews written by people within 5 miles of my address, I elected to call John's Appliance. I called at 9:00 am - hoping that I wouldn't be put off until the next day due to their schedule. John answered professionally and was able to offer three (3) time slots for a technician to come to my house on the same day. I chose the 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm time slot and the technician arrived at 3:30 pm. He was pleasant and professional. I provided my diagnosis of the refrigerator and we both hoped it was the relay. After approximately 10 minutes of diagnosis, unfortunately, the technician advised it was not the relay, but, rather the compressor. Hence, I needed a new refrigerator. The technician proceeded to immediately offer two recommended brands that will last longer than the majority made today and which retailers carry the brands. This, given all are made with computerized boards which affects the longevitiy and quality. I was very appreciative of the technician's no nonese approach.

They did not work on my particular brand of washer but recommended another company who did and who did great work.

My fridge stopped cooling. I schedule a service call after reading reviews on Angie's List. The technician was running late but called and was very apologetic. Things like that happen. He spent a significant amount of time troubleshooting the problem and explaining what he was doing throughout. Sadly, the root problem would have cost more to fix than the fridge was worth (the technician did agree it was probably not worthwhile). Bottom line: the work was professional; the service call was very reasonable; and they did not try to talk me into repairs that might have be a temporary fix. Additionally, I was able to discuss replacement strategy with them. I would call them again without hesitation.

We are new subscribers to Angie's List and found John on the list of appliance repair professionals. Our Kenmore refrigerator/freezer stopped working earlier in the day. I called him and he was in our area and worked us in -- he was here in 15 minutes! He suspected that the problem was the starter which had been replaced by another company only one year ago (6/29/11). Apparently the replacement part was too small (and installed weirdly) for the compressor in our unit. He replaced the shoddy starter with an appropriately-sized unit and our refrigerator was working again! We also mentioned a small problem with our dryer and he was able to diagnose the problem. We will certainly contact him when we're ready to get it repaired.

Repairman knew exactly what the problem was which was the heating element was out.Replaced heating element. Back in business drying laundry an hour later.

Scheduled quickly, showed up on time, very friendly, fixed the dryer first, and no parts needed. Discussed the garage fridge options, and elected to fix it with replacing the mother board. Done quickly, and everything has worked great since.

Our clothes dryer started making a very loud vibrating noise which couldn't be explained by location or balance issues. I called first thing Monday morning and the service guy, Brian, was at the house by 1pm. He explained it could be several different things and looked at the easiest one first. After taking off the top and front of the dryer he noticed the blower wheel contained a significant amount of lint. Once that was cleaned out and the dryer parts put back together, it ran as it always has, without the loud noise. We were of course very pleased that the solution was simple and inexpensive...barely more than a service call charge. Brian was very professional and pleasant. After he had finished his work he asked for a broom so he could clean up some excess lint that had fallen to the floor. I told him he could have a pass on cleaning up this time since he was nice enough to clean the dust off the top of my stack dryer while he was working on it! Overall a very good experience and should the need arise again we willl definitely use John's Appliance Repair.

very easy. they were very professional from phone to repairmen.

My parents actually got him fixed the issues because I had to go to a meeting. By the time I was back from the meeting, everything was fixed. It shows how fast he did the work. I actually didn't get to meet him, but my parents were very complimentary that he was very professional, that he showed up in the time period in which he said he was going to, and that they said if I needed to have somebody else do stuff again, they told me I should use him.

It was not cheap, but the part alone is $160. I called yesterday afternoon....and by 3pm today my refrigerator worked as it should. It was not dispensing water....and the ice maker stopped working. Apparently it is a common problem with my ge refrigerator....it is like planned obsolescence - the board on my refrigerator goes out at about 8 years!! It was an easy fix for John's Appliance Repair (he said I was his 3rd replacement today)!!

John's Appliance Repair was very professional. I already knew the problem with my oven, but they took the time to fully investigate and then advise that yes, that was the problem. They returned at my convenience (even after having to reschedule) to install the part. I'm very happy with the service, the team that did the work, the ease with scheduling an appointment and will definitely use them again for other large appliance repair. I suspect it will be soon because they are all at the 12 year mark. Thanks again to the team!

John was very responsive via email. Meh was easy to schedule an appointment with. He gave me a two hour window. I did ask for them to call me. Although they didn't call, they arrived during the window. The tech was very nice and completed the job quickly! He even reconnected the electric dryer!
