When we call them they are very quick when there are issues. They have come when there is an issue that would cause us to not be able to open the door with in 2 hours. Robert is the technician that we have worked with and he is amazing.

This company was the best, most personable garage door repair service up call. I used them after a power failure and needed assistance in reconnecting my door. Their was no actual repair, but he reconnected the door and instructed in the "kinky nature" of my brand of opener in getting reconnected. He made suggestion to upgrade to LiftMaster which has a battery backup. I will definitely call them in the future for any repairs . Good service time, 24- hr availability and fair prices..

I had great response with that. The cost actually was pretty minimal as I have used them before. They had done a similar kind of repair and recommendation which I didn’t accept the full recommendation so they just kind of checked it out and do something additional. They charged me a minimal fee, which was like a service fee for coming out.

"We have been using Action Garage Door Repair since 1996 when they were called Factory Direct Door and we purchased a "Lifetime Warranty" at that time. The "Lifetime Warranty" is a way for the company to keep customers more than a good deal for the customer because they still charge labor fees when the equipment breaks down which are probably cover the price of the parts. The "Lifetime Warranty" has had us roped in since 1996, but we have been satisfied with their service until recently. The repairmen are prompt, responsive and qualified and they do the repairs quickly and efficiently. Since 2009, however, we have had to call them out more times than should be necessary for the maintenance of a garage door: twice in 2009, twice in 2012, once in 2013 and this time in 2014. That is 6 times in 5 years. A garage door should not require annual service. When we discovered that the spring was broken once again we were on our way out of town. Luckily, my adult son was home to meet the service person. When the repairman quoted a $ 290 fee to replace the spring, my husband called the company office to complain. Even though we have been a customer for 18 years, they only reduced the fee to $225 and would not comp the service fee. The office person even reprimanded my husband for cursing (he should not have cursed, but it was mild and he was frustrated. He said, "I am tired of this s***!"). My husband spent 30 minutes in the car on the phone with the office person and got no satisfaction. We suspect that the company installs lower quality products they make service calls more often and subsequently charge more labor and service fees. We are ending our 18 year relationship with Action Garage Door and will find a company that will install higher quality parts which do not require annual maintenance. ***UPDATE*** Gary, the owner of Action Garage Door, called my husband and agreed that annual maintenance for our garage door was excessive. He offered to install a light commercial grade garage door spring free of charge. We had several commitments that week, but Gary continued to call until he could schedule an installer to come to our house. The new spring was installed quickly and efficiently and we have had no problems. Thank you, Gary, for standing behind your guarantee and your products. We could not be more pleased with the service and responsiveness of Action Garage Door.
