Steam It

Steam It was fantastic. They were able to fit me in even though I requested the cleaning at the last minute. They spot cleaned and steamed my rugs, and they looked incredible afterward. I would highly recommend Steam It!!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There were no additional charges.

They came out and it looked like they didn't do anything. They were on time.

It went really well. They were very professional. Its been a while so I don't remember much.

They suck. Before purchasing the Angie's List "Big Deal," we were specific with the owner of the company to make sure that the promo covered what we wanted done to the bathroom in our 1960's home - and he assured us that this was their specialty. When the contractor arrived, he had BROWN grout (he said "nobody uses white anymore") and the incorrect type of caulk. I should have sent the guy home right then and there, but called the owner who said he would ensure that it would get done, and look good. Long story short, the employee wasted OUR grout, incorretly putting it over the old (stained) grout with no prep work, and without removing the exisitng caulk, used his crappy caulk applied with his finger, looking like a blind person was let loose with a tube of toothpaste. He told me he needed more material, then snuck out of the house when I was on the run to Home Depot - rightfully ashamed of his work. My fiancee cried when she saw that it looked WORSE than before they came! We called the owner again, and this time he was quite rude (somehow, he thought that WE had wasted HIS time?), and changed his tune, saying that they "only work on bathorooms in newly constructed homes." He yelled at us to "just get a refund through Angie's List" (Incident Reference #140224-003426 - filled in Feb, within a week of the job's completion). Of course, when Angie's list contacted "Steam It" to process the refund, they denied it. The good news is that we were able to hire another company who removed all of the grout and caulk applied by "Steam It" in both of the bathtubs/shower surrounds, and redid everything with the correct materials. It was a professional job, looked fantastic, and their fee was only $25 more than what we originally paid "Steam It" through their Angie's List promo. Save yourself the money and frustration and do not bother using "Steam It" - if they're even still in business.

There were no problems with scheduling and no additional costs. The service turned out fine.

People should save their money. These services are not good for oriental rugs. The only thing that they do is put water on the carpet, they to do not pre-spot or use any cleaning agents. It was very ineffective, a waste of time and money. I called before using their services and was told that they would use cleaners. Once they did arrive they tested my rug ,which showed that it was okay with the use of cleaners. I was misled over the phone before I purchased their services.

The company sent someone right away, the technician showed on time, and he was very pleasant while at the house. The only issue is that the grouting lines could be a bit straighter, and the overall job looks like repair work rather than making the grout look like new. My husband did approve of the work before the technician left, however, so I can't fault the gentleman too much.

I'm not very impressed with that company. They missed some places so they weren't really detail oriented. I could have done what they did. They left tiles, just totally missed areas that needed caulking.

That turned out okay. One guy came out to do the service. I think he cleaned and polished the granite, but I don’t think he sealed it. He was a very nice man, but I was not sure that he did the sealing since I was in the other room, so if other members were to purchase this deal, make sure they do that. It took him less than an hour; I have a lot of granite countertops and I did have to pay a little extra, about $150.

I was concerned about the heavy traffic areas. I vacuumed several times. I was hoping they would do extra cleaning on the heavy traffic area and they said they did but it still looked dirty to me. But in my move-out inspection, the inspector thought I never lived there because it was so clean. He thought I rented it but never moved in. I purchased an Angie's list BIGDEAL for 3 rooms, and they did the hallway at no extra charge. Since they had no furniture to move, I was hoping they would do an extra good cleaning.

I was a little concerned at first because he did not vacumn the carpet or the furniture to get cat hair, small stuff and dirt off. I found this unusual because it had always been done before by other companies. When I asked him why, he said it wasn't needed. Otherwise he took only an hour to clean all of the above pieces without getting too much water on my hardwood floors (which I was very grateful). He was very courteous and polite and as far as I could tell, the furniture and carpet looked clean. I was charged an extra $133 for the additional sofa, chair and carpet which I didn't think was bad. I probably would use them again.

Arrived on time, technician was professional and knowledgeable. he did a thorough and timely job. Would definitely use them again.

Steam It did a great job cleaning our carpets, and they were dirty. Steam It was friendly, respectful, affordable, and thorough. I will use them again in the future!

Although the truck and the steam generating equipment looked sharp and fairly new leaking houses especially over hardwood floors were the first problem. I had to dry them as soon as he was out of the way. Most of the flooring is Mexican tile, some wood floor and three areas of carpet with two closets. There were two vanity areas where pre-spotting would have been a correct step. The worker responded that the prespotting is already contained in the solution he was applying in the course of steam cleaning when the suggestion of such action was mentioned to him. (Previous steam cleaners were very successful in handling minor stains in the same area by pre-spotting). As a result we still have the stains. I will attempt to have them taken out with Oxy-clean this evening. The rest of work was done in a hurried manner, although the worker came 30 min early. He was done in 29 min. The worker was fairly polite but not accommodating in the least. The price would have been reasonable if service was done correctly. We had this work done at least five times for the last four years for under $90 with good outcome every time. Next time I will check references first. RN

They were on time. The living room looked fairly good, he did the stairs and the upstairs and left while husband was still on the phone, therefore he didn't get a chance to check it out. When I came home from work the stains were very apparent both downstairs and specially in the bedroom. I was very tired and I'm 9 months pregnant! I left a message telling them how extremely upset I was with the carpet cleaning. They called and returned on Saturday the 5th and tried to remove the stains in the bedroom. While it did look slightly better and he said he probably couldn't get it out anymore, he said it must have seeped though from under the carpet. Then my Mother came over and got not only that stain completely out but also a large stain by the desk downstairs. Yes, she used a brush BUT it only took her about 10 minutes and neither stain has reappeared. Not convinced they tried that hard.

He showed up right on time and tried his best to get all the stains out. I will definitely hire them again.

It went fine for the most part. honestly, I have some "rough" patches on my granite countertops that were never polished correctly by the original installer. I was hoping this company could fix those areas since "polishing" is one of the things they advertise, but that didn't happen. those rough spots still look/feel the same. (hence the reason for the "C" rating.) so my granite doesn't look any better or worse, but I guess now it's "re-sealed." honestly I have no way of knowing if it is or isn't, so I just have to take this company/worker's word for it. but the worker was nice, appropriate, timely.

They did a very good job. They do a very good thorough job. They were on time as expected, no scheduling issues. Very friendly. In fact I'm going to have them come back and do the rest of the house.

They did a great job! They were very prompt and exactly what I needed. It was the best deal in town. Scheduling was very straightforward and they were really prompt. The end result was very good and it’s hard to imagine that they could have done better.

carpets: still wet days later. furniture which was not moved was "stuck" to dried carpet Tile & Grout: Could not discern any improvement in look of tile grout after treatment.

Technician did an excellent job in a timely manner. Very courteous and professional.

The service was supposed to be for caulking and grout restoration. There was no grout restoration performed and the tech told my wife that they don't do anything to the grout. To this day I'm not sure what grout restoration is, as I have gotten different answers from people at Steam it. In the end I just ended up having someone come out regrout our entire bath. I would suggest having someone from this company come out prior to paying for the service to get a full understanding of what you will be getting.

Overall, I was pleased, although the job was incomplete. I learned from the very informative provider that a coloring of the grout could help the overall appearance. He was also able to clean my carpet for a small additional fee. I was pleased with them and plan to use them again to clean and color all the grout in the kitchen and den. I recommend them.

Not only was the service reprehensible, the owner explained to me that he did not send his guys out with the necessary colors. He said they would fix it with sealant at his own expense. After the final visit and poor result, I left a message forbid to return which he never did. I would recommend Angie's remove that big "deal" from any future offerings completely. This was outrageous and I will have to pay for a professional to fix the mess Steam It made.impossible to be more disappointed.
