Steam It

It was simple to schedule an appointment and there were no additional costs. One man came to complete the work. He was able to complete the job within a few hours in the morning. I thought he was very reasonably priced. We had one area that had adhesive on it and he spent a lot of time trying to get it up. He did a great job!

We were very impressed. We scheduled the service on what turned out to be a 'snow day' in Austin. I didn't expect them to come at all, but they called in the morning to let us know they'd be there later that day when the ice melted. They arrived as promised and did a fabulous job. Highly recommended!

I was happy with the Steam It experience. Tech arrived on time. He was friendly and I was most happy that he did not start by talking about add on's or start measuring the square footage of my house. This is common with carpet cleaners and drives me nutty. But none of that. With the Angie's List deal, I was not charged for the tax. Carpet looks good...........and it is so great to have it clean again.

The technicians name was chad, he showed up on time and did a great job. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I'd definitely recommend this company to others.

Excellent; the "big deal," included the stairs and everything looked great. Regardless of another company's touch, the carpets wouldn't have turned out any better and with the deal offered through Angie's List the end result was a win-win for both pocketbook and final result.

The serviceman arrived right on time, set everything up quickly. He told us how long he would need and met that timeframe, which was nice since I have small children in the home. The carpets were very clean and I was very happy with the service. I would definitely use this company again.

The technician arrived promptly and immediately discussed the details of both the carpet cleaning that we had purchased through an Angie's List Big Deal and the tile cleaning and sealant services that we wanted to add on. He explained the pricing on the tile cleaning and the differences between clear and color grout sealing. He gave us prices for both and then told us he would let us think about it while he started the carpet cleaning. We have two dogs and a toddler so our carpets were filthy. He did the best he could cleaning the carpet and got out as many stains as he could, but explained to us that there was ground in dirt in some high traffic areas that could not be removed. We already suspected as much so we were not too surprised to hear this. It took him about 2 hours to clean and scotch guard 4 bedrooms, a hallway and stairs. He did a great job cleaning all rooms. The only minor complaint that we have is that Steam It says their technicians will move "light furniture." We moved most everything off the floor in preparation for the cleaning because we did not want the technician to have to waste his time moving things around. We did not move our daughter's light toddler bed or rocking chair/ottoman because we had nowhere to move them to. Unfortunately, the tech did not move either of these pieces as he should have resulting in two uncleaned areas under the bed and behind the rocking chair. These items should have been moved during the cleaning. Unfortunately, we did not notice that these areas had been missed until hours later when we went upstairs. My advice to customers is to check all rooms before the technician leaves to ensure that all areas are cleaned per your expectations. When he finished with the carpet cleaning, he immediately started on the tile cleaning and the sealant which took about another thirty minutes. The tile looked great afterwards and we were very happy that we spent the extra money to have it cleaned and sealed. Thanks, Steam It

It was wonderful. The only problem was I ordered three big deals, I need to call them and see if they will honor the other two. The service was phenomenal, they did a fabulous job. Even if I did not get them on a special, I would still hire them again. I plan on having them come back after the holidays. They were very open for what ever time I wanted. I did not have to wait forever. It was $149, they would not take a penny more. They were prompt, the cleaning was incredible, he did a great job. He was in and out. He was just terrific. He was professional, friendly and he even wore his booties. He did his work and did not fool around. I am going to have them come back and do my upholstery. He got the stains out. They contacted me right after I purchased the coupon.

Everything went really well. They showed up on time and the carpet cleaning didn't take long. They put everything back the way they should have and the carpets looked better than they have since they were first installed.

The person who worked on the carpets (sorry I can't remember his name) was nice but he wasn't very clear about what it was included in the AL's deal, he tried to charge me after the work but I told him that it was already paid, so he said that I needed to pay taxes for the paid amount then. I replied that would be the first time that I had to do this and I believed that taxes were included in the billing like in the other AL's deals I have bought before. Also he was on his way out and I asked about the protection for the carpets and he said he didn't know anything about it, so I had to look for a printout of the deal and showed to him, he sprayed the carpets sparingly with a liquid and that was it. But at the end the carpets look great and that's the important here :)

It went very well. The cleaner showed up on time, did his work thoroughly and quickly in a professional manner. The coupon was more than some other Angie's List providers, but the quality was excellent

Price was great, and they were able to get to the job quickly. The upholstery was OK, but none of the carpet spots were removed. Had to re-clean the carpet myself.

The provider arrived on time and cleaned our carpets in less than half an hour. He told me exactly what to do to make sure that the carpet dries correctly.

Steam It offers some great deals and they were responsive to calls. I appreciated that the guys on the phone worked with me to find a time when we could be at the house. When I told them that one of our rooms may be over the 200 sq foot size limit but I didn't have measurements, they assured me it was no big deal and I'd get the coupon price. All of these things are big gold stars in my book. It is also why I was extra disappointed when the cleaning was subpar. 24 hours after the cleaning the carpets were still very wet (soak your socks wet) and the dark/dirty patch in the middle bedroom was not clean. In addition we've found a sticky gummy mess melted into the carpet in bedroom three, plus two black marks on our freshly painted walls that weren't there before. I can't guarantee that anyone else could get out the dark/dirty patch or that the sticky mess wasn't there before, but I can't help but be disappointed in the results of this service.

Our realtor checked the house after the cleaning, and said it looked good.

The service was excellent. Young man named Chad came out to clean our carpets. We have two dogs and over the past year the carpets have become stained and grungy with dog hair. Chat was out earlier than his scheduled time (which was fine with us). He was very professional and competent. He also spent a lot of time working the cleaning solutions into the stains and did a remarkable job at removing them. I am extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism of the work and will gladly use them again next time we need carpets cleaned.

He did a good job...some of the stains did not completely come out but the carpet is 12 years old also

Tech was on time and very friendly. He explained the pre-contracted work well (a "Big Deal") as well as the optional services available. We decided to purchase the add ons as well as the original package. He completed the work in a professional manner. Bonus points: circumstances dictated that I had to leave so I asked him to lock up which he did. This was a house we just moved into, and the former owner had a dog. My only complaint is that the smell of dog still lingers in some areas. I called Steam It to ask about the lingering smell but never heard back.

It worked out real well. It seemed to be fine. We've had the carpets steam cleaned a couple of months before. But we were selling the house and it was requested in the contract that it should be steam cleaned professionally, so that is why we had it cleaned again. It came out fine. It came out similar to the last time we had it cleaned. He was very respectful and professional.

Overall a good experience except the cleaning tech ask me to pay the sales tax on the big deal when he finished the job. Not very professional.

Company was easy to work with and punctual. However, the carpets just didn't look that much cleaner after he left. He was is a hurry to finish to get to the next appointment. We had an area with more spots and although we pointed it out, I don't think he did anything different to get them out. Low traffic areas looked good, but I really wanted the spots taken out.
