Mr. Rekey Locksmith of Austin

Our experience with Mr. Rekey was fantastic. Our front door handle and lock combination had broken and fallen off into pieces. This left the hole where the door handle went that you could see through into our house from the street and also allowed hot air from outside to rush through the hole into our house. This was causing our house to heat up, and our AC to run much more to keep the house cool. I wanted it fixed as soon as possible. When I called to schedule our service, Jamison answered the phone on my first call. He was very friendly and helpful. He asked questions to make sure that he fully understood the scope of work that we needed performed, and got us scheduled on the same day that I called. He gave me a 2 hour time window for the tech to arrive onsite, and he said the tech would call me when he was on his way to give me a better idea of exactly when he would arrive. He also provided me the discounted price for the work since we were Angie's List members. Mike was our tech that performed our work. He was friendly, knowledgeable, performed the work quickly, and did a great job. He called just as I was told that he would, and he actually fit us in earlier than we were scheduled for. Which worked out great for us. He arrived right on time when he said that he would. He reviewed the work we wanted performed with us and got right to work. We asked him several questions on how to better secure our front door and if we were to purchase new door handles in the future what different brands offered for the differences in their costs. We really felt he went above and beyond to deliver a great customer experience for us. We thought the price they charged was very fair. We would use them again in the future and would absolutely recommend using them.

Scheduling an appointment was easy; I reached a scheduler within minutes of calling. Brian, the technician, arrived early and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Mr. ReKey. This is the second time I've used this service, and both times the results have been outstanding.

It went well. They were recommended through my real estate agent, my home warranty company and Angie's list. The price was right and I booked their service through my home warranty company to take advantage of a discount they offered. Mr. Rekey called me promptly after creating the service request and came out the day after to rekey our locks. The gentleman called and let me know he was outside my door would be knocking shortly. He finished the job in about 30 minutes. The only negative was that they were not able to put all three doors on the same key due to different locking mechanisms, so only two locks shared a key and the other one has its own key. Other than that, the service was great!

I called Mr. Key first due to great reviews. First call was at 8:02 and was put on hold "approximate wait time 6 min" so did a couple of things for 2 min and came back to phone and apparently missed the call. Called right back "approximate wait time 1 min. then heard while waiting that company keeps on file a copy of all keys made (I assume to get you back in if you get locked out) and did not care for it. Because they did not answer on time, I was able to hear it and I decided to go with another provider. Answering the phone quickly is not often mentioned as part of customer service but I believe it is a very important piece of it. So, too popular to perhaps answer phones quickly. If you want fast service you may want to look elsewhere. I want company to be aware that one loses business if one does not answer phones promptly.

The locksmith that showed up was very professional, and did his job quickly. I appreciated that he did the minimum required for what we needed to fix the front door lock. I didn't feel like he was trying to sell us more than we needed. He was friendly and professional, would definitely hire again.

I needed all of the locks on my rental property re-keyed for new tenants. I called one company that quoted me a great price, but didn't have availability that day. I called Texas Rekey, who had an even better price, also with great ratings, so I scheduled for the following business day. The locksmith called when he was on the way, so I could notify my tenants. I also needed an extra key in addition to the 4 they provide with the service, which he didn't charge me for. The service was great, and I have them on my list of contractors to use for any locksmith services I need going forward.

Fantastic! I called at 5.20 last night because we couldn't open our front door. Since there was no rush, I made an appointment for today, between 1pm and 3pm. Chris rang the doorbell at 12.59, and immediately got to work. 15 minutes later, we had a new latch and our door works better than it did before! Highly, highly recommended company, and a painless experience!

Called because our "local" locksmith was out of town. We are in Eastern Williamson County and the first firm I called from Angie's list didn't service our area. I had been called out at 5:00 PM because one of the doors to our building would not lock, so I wound up calling Re-Key close to 6:00 PM on a Friday. Although they said that it might be an hour and a half until someone could respond, I received a call within about 20 minutes that they would be there in about 15 minutes. Because the area was in very dark, I suggested that if the locksmith could get the door to lock, he could return on Monday to complete the repair. After working for a few minutes, the door was locked. They returned on Monday and found that the closing mechanism was broken and leaking oil onto the panic bar so it needed to be replaced. They ordered the part and he completed the job. We have had no other problems.

He was on-time, friendly, and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

Great price and quality of work. We moved into a new home and needed our 5 exterior doors rekeyed. Texas Rekey was able to come out the same day and took care of us quickly. Highly recommend and would use them again in the future.
