The technician seemed knowledgeable about the electronic components of the wall oven and likely causes for failure. One of the number keys on the touchpad on the front glass panel had stopped working a week before the oven was to go out of warranty. He took apart the glass front panel and looked at the contacts behind it. He ordered new parts. He returned to install them. The oven has worked ever since (Dec 2013 to the present, Dec 2015) and is still going.
Description of Work: Mr. Appliance diagnosed the reason for a failing key on a wall oven touchpad, ordered parts and replaced the failing components. The work was done under warranty so there was no cost to me.

BUYER BEWARE: RIP OFF. Way over-priced. Charged almost $250 for 20 minutes of work and a $20 part. when I originally called, the person on the phone said "they were having problems" with the Angie's List coupons, so I did not buy the offer, but instead trusted they would give me an honest deal. Manager was unresponsive and snooty regarding my request to breakdown the costs. DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS. Go on the the next company.

To put it simple everything was done very well. Replacing a door switch should include a visit/maint charge and the marked up cost of the part. I would think $125 or $150 dollars at most. In this case I prepaid a visit/diagnostic fee $89.00 and then the cost of the visit and repairs was 147.58. Just plain too much for the work involved. Total was 236.58!

Ordered from Angies list so had a repair credit. There was some confusion with the people at the office about how to handle but it was straightened out so I was very pleased in the end.
Description of Work: GE Dishwasher was leaving spots and crusty stuff on dishes and glasses. It is 4yrs old and has been getting gradually worse. Provider listened to our explanation and checked out the dishwasher and gave us our options from least expensive to most expensive. We chose least expensive. He performed work and explained things clearly to us. Miguel was the repairman's name. Very nice.

I was 100% satisfied with the work. Scheduling called within just a couple hours after I sent a message through Angie's List. They were able to send a repair technician out the next day. The technician showed up when they said he would and even called when he was 20 min away. Very professional and reliable.
Description of Work: The barrel in my front-load washing machine had quit spinning. The technician explained what the likely problem was and said he would attempt to fix it the cheapest the way first so that I would not have to pay for replacing the entire motor if not necessary.

I contacted Mr. Appliance of Austin because I needed repair on a washing machine at a rental property. The person on the phone was polite and seemingly professional. I asked if she could contact the tenant to schedule the appointment, which she agreed to do. I had not heard back from Mr. Appliance for a week, so I contacted the tenant to see if the job had been scheduled and/or completed. My tenant said that he had not heard from them, so a called again. The representative that answered the phone said that she had tried to call, but that the tenant's phone was not set up for voice mail. I asked her to please try contacting the tenant again to schedule the appointment, and I asked that she please contact me if there were any other problems getting through to him. I also contacted my tenant again, and we tested his phone's ability to receive calls and voice mails (it functioned correctly). I had already given my payment information to Mr. Appliance, so that the job could be billed, so my expectation was that it would get done. Again, a week went by without Mr. Appliance contacting either the tenant or me. I had hoped that Mr. Appliance would be a good contact for me since I have several rental properties that occasionally require appliance repair. Unfortunately, their lack of responsiveness will force me to look elsewhere.

been "held uI made an appointment and the repair tech came and diagnosed the problem, which went well. I was taken aback by the cost: $318, but $270 of that was the part. The tech said that the part would arrive via UPS at my house the next afternoon, and to call him and he would come over at the end of his work day. The part arrived and I called him, but he said he had been "held up" and might not come until the next day (I had rearranged my work schedule around this repair and wasn't happy.) But then he came by and did the repair around 7:30, after his day had ended. I was impressed by this desire to get the job done, so I ended up feeling very good about the company, and I would use them again.

It went poorly. I called Mr. Appliance on Wed June 3,2015 after reading the Angie's List Reviews. My Maytag Washer had broken. This was a major inconvenience for me as I have twin 2.5 year olds that make a lot of laundry. I was told they could not come out till Friday June 5, 2015. The dispatcher scheduled me for an afternoon arrival time between 1 and 5 PM AFTER I advised her that I would be unavailable in the morning due to my son's ENT appt. I got home at 12:45 and I had a sorry I missed you sign on my door. I called up immediately and was informed the technician had a few cancelations in the morning so he decided to come to my house early. This was irritating as I had already informed the dispatcher Wed June 3 that I would be unavailable in the morning and why. She told me she'd call back with a new time when she found a technician that would be in my area that same day. She did call back and I got put back on the schedule for that same afternoon. The technician arrived at 4:00 PM that day and diagnosed my problem as a control board issue and quoted 550 dollars to replace it. The technician said to take the weekend and decide if we wanted to proceed with repair but if we decided to have it repaired he could be back out on Monday June 8, 2015 to fix it. After researching the cost of the new machines my husband and I decided to go ahead and pay the money to have it repaired. I called on Sunday June 7, 2015 got the after hours line and was told that they couldn't schedule the appointment as the technician didn't put the part he was going to need in the system so I would have to wait till Monday when the local office started business and the technician came in. So on Monday morning June 8, 2015 I called at 8:00 AM. Told the dispatcher that we decided to go ahead with fixing the machine. I was told again that they couldn't schedule an appointment until she heard from the technician and he would call me. I waited till 10:00 AM I called back still haven't heard from him. Was told oh he got hung up on a job he'd call me in 10 mins. Again nothing then it was 11:30. Called back sorry he's going to lunch shortly he will call you then. She then gave me the technicians number so I could call him directly. Called got his voicemail. Finally around 2 PM he called me. Said he had the part and the dispatcher could schedule me. Called back the office. She said she could move some things around and get me on Wednesday June 10, 2015. Which means we were now at a week mark since my washer broke and I originally called them. She said I can do 8 to 12 PM or 1:00 to 5 PM which would you prefer. I responded 8 to 12 PM would work perfectly. I sent my kids to preschool with their dad to ensure I would be home for the entire window of time I was given. 11:30 AM came I called them up. Again so sorry the technician bumped you to the afternoon. You are now the last call of the day. He will be there between 3 and 5 PM now. I explained this would be hard for me as I had to pick my kids up from preschool. I was told that was it nothing they could do. So I picked my kids up early from preschool so I could be home for the technician. 4:30 PM came no technician. I called back the dispatch office. I was told oh he just called in he has one more call before you and then he's headed your way. I said so you're saying I will still see him tonight. Oh yes was the response. 6:00 PM came and I called the office again and this time got the afterhours line. I was told oh the technician went home for the night and you are on the schedule for tomorrow Thursday June 11, 2015 IN THE AFTERNOON. The afternoon seriously. That was it the straw that broke the camels back. I canceled the appointment and ordered a brand new washer which I will receive on Sat. I am through with them. They have no respect for the customer, the customers needs or the customers time. They outright lie to your face about when they will show up. They are a horrible company. Please do NOT ever hire them. Save yourself the aggravation.
Description of Work: I had a Maytag Washer that broke Wed June 3, 2015. After numerous scheduling conflicts and no shows did not use their service. Strongly advise you all think twice about using them as well.

The technician was prompt and professional, and found out what the problem had been. He was unable to prevent future problems because the required part was no longer available. (He identified the part, and diligent Web surfing on my part later confirmed that it was indeed not available, anywhere at any price.)5/

I scheduled the appt. online thru their own website for the next day, 12p-5p window and received a confirmation email. At 330p on the day service, no one had shown up so I called the office and was told my appt. was not on their schedule! Get a new scheduling process or don't allow appt. booking online. Very frustrating. Went with another company that came out as scheduled.

It went very well. Our appliance specialist, Philipp Stautzenberg, was professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner and we are very pleased. Philipp offered information and explanations as to what he was doing and why and was very easy to work with - I especially appreciate that he cleaned up after the job and made sure that there was nothing more that could be done. Highly recommend.

I called in inquired as to how long it would take to get a repairman out to check my Load Size knob on my washer. Made an appointment for the next morning between 8-12:00. The company called back several minutes later to let me know that a repairman was in my area and could come within the half hour. He repaired it minutes and washer is now working fine.

Scheduled my service through the on-line scheduler for today between 8-12 Noon. I arranged my schedule accordingly. I received a telephone call this morning saying that they scheduled an office meeting and it did not reflect on the on-line scheduler. The person suggested 1-5 PM or tomorrow morning, neither are open for me. I get that things happen, but when you need something done or addressed and a company provides on-line tools to schedule, you should not have this happen. It reflects poorly on you as a business.

They missed the first service appointment because they had the phone number wrong and called someone else who told them their dishwasher was working fine. They then missed the second appointment because they thought the address was in Georgetown rather than Austin. They finally came out on the third appointment and told me the control panel on the dishwasher needed to be replaced, and it would cost over $300, which is more than I paid for the whole dishwasher. I subsequently called the factory-authorized service company, who came out and said the control panel merely needed to be reset, which they did for a third of the cost. This is one of the most disorganized and incompetent companies I have ever done business with.

Went great. Technician was very helpful. Saved me from having to call the plumber to come out and replace the filter since I had one handy and also made a change to possibly prevent the same thing from happening again when the fridge was put back in place.
Description of Work: Checked my fridge since water had leaked from underneath. Identified problem as filter I had added to back of fridge. Connection was snapped but still attached. Said could replace it if he had a filter and I had a new one. Also taped cord to back of fridge to prevent further issues when sliding fridge back in place.

The work done was just fine! But the communication was a little confusing. I had called to get my range temperature control panel fixed/replaced. The technician, a very nice guy named Richard, came out on 9/15 and after inspecting the range, said that particular panel was no longer manufactured, but I could have sworn he also said he could get a different panel but it wouldn't have a clock (which I said was fine with me). I also had him look at my dryer, which had a timer that no longer turned the machine off at the end of a cycle. He determined the timer just needed to be replaced. He told me he'd order parts and come back the following Monday (9/22) and that everything (house visit and parts + labor) would be $326.77. I thought I was getting both appliances fixed, so I agreed and paid him. The dryer timer replacement came in the mail. Richard returned 9/22 and I gave him the dryer part and told him the range panel never came. He looked at me, then the range, and said, "Oh, remember, they don't make that panel anymore, so there is no part." I told him I thought he had said he had ordered a different, clockless one, but he assured me he had not. So, somehow we miscommunicated the week before and I learned I paid $89 for a housecall + $237.77 for a new dryer timer. I wish things had been more clear, as my 1994 Kenmore dryer isn't even worth $237! I guess it is now. Ha! UPDATE Richard came back out to the house on 9/27 to look at the dryer again because the problem wasn't solved with a new timer. He said he thought it was a wiring issue and that he'd have to find and look at some schematics and get back to me. He also said I could get a refund because the timer didn't fix the problem. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard back from Mr Appliance, despite contacting them by phone. Nor have I been refunded. I am disappointed. 10 days later: I finally had the repairman return. He was able to fix the dryer. It only took one month.

We bought a wine cooler about 3 years ago. After a bad storm, something happened and it stopped cooling. We called many companies and no one would service our brand. We finally found Mr. appliance and they came out in a couple of days and in less than an hour they diagnosed and repaired the problem. Very happy with their service and the result. A little expensive to repair, but it was an expensive wine cooler and I'm glad I didn't have to buy a new one.

We bought Bosch fridge from Lowes and received no explanation for a very tempermental appliance. Mr. Appliance replaced icemaker and explained operation of fridge. Gave us contact number and explanation for replacement of filter which must be done twice a year. They are very knowledgeable about all appliances. Fridge has worked fine ever since (knock on wood).
