After comparing prices with other companies, it's clear that I was overcharged. On the other hand, my unit was fixed and has been working properly for the past month.

Description of Work: We have a sub zero refrigerator fan that Mr. Appliance replaced last year. My husband has been calling them since mid week last week. The 1year warranty apparently is out at the end of 2015. So they said they would come out and check it but if they don't have the part on the trail they won't come back. This is service? They have lost our business forever.

Description of Work: Diagnosed problem with oven overheating. The service cost would have been applied to repair the faulty panel but I've opted to purchase a new oven rather than spend $500 on repairing a 12 year old appliance.

Description of Work: Came out for simple dishwasher repair. While trying to re-assemble, he couldn't get a small rubber washer to fit back on. So my option was to purchase a new motor assembly (rubber washer not sold separately) at approx $250 or purchase new dishwasher. We went with new dishwasher. Not the result I was hoping from just a small piece of glass being caught in water line.

Description of Work: The technician was professional and courteous. He did not have the part on the truck and would have had to return later. He quoted about $350 for replacing the ice maker and two service calls. Service calls are $89. I declined the price and return service. I bought the replacement part for about $130 and replaced the ice maker myself.

Description of Work: I used them 2 years ago and had very good results. This time, the actual service was so-so and the office was not so hot. I had to call them to check on appointment since they did not respond on Angie's List. They pulled up my information from two years ago and referred to my washing machine, but this request was for my dryer. Then the tech diagnosed a bad drum at about $400+. He might have had me consider getting a new unit. I was out of town, so said go ahead. Two weeks later it came in, they put it in and it didn't work. It needed a new controller. But the dryer has been operating very well for 2 months, so I am happy/satisfied with the reliability of the fix.

Description of Work: The built-in oven would not heat, or would go off after a short time. John Rodriguez the repairman diagnosed the problem as a worn-out circuit board. The automatic lock on the oven door used during a self cleaning cycle was also engaged and would not release. John ordered the parts and returned when scheduled and installed them.

Description of Work: He fixed my refrigerator/freezer. It did not take him long. We thought what he charged was appropriate. We will use him again. We highly recommend Mr. Appliance of Austin.

Description of Work: Mr. Appliance of Austin was the approved warranty service provider in Austin for Thermador Appliances. I called them and they came out promptly, fixed the issue and were very thorough. They even knew what the builder had done wrong plumbing water to my Thermador refrigerator on a previous service appointment. Both of my service calls were covered under the warranty or paid by the builder so I don't have any comment on their pricing structure.

Description of Work: Replaced dishwasher soap dispenser. Didn't go well. First day, had to order the dispenser because they didn't have in stock. Two days later, with the dispenser delivery at our house, the service person arrived and replaced the soap dispenser, but couldn't get the dishwasher to start. Had to call Bosch, but had to come back because he couldn't get ahold of anyone at Bosch. This was on a Friday and said he would return on Monday. After waiting and waiting, called Douglas, the serviceman, and he said he couldn't make it because of having a family emergency. Called the office, they said he called in sick and there was no one to send out. Also, Douglas said he would call the office to set up another appointment. He didn't do that. Called customer service to set up an appointment for Wednesday. One week now with no dishwasher. Douglas returned on Wednesday and called Bosch. Douglas didn't hook up the dishwasher correctly. He had to call Bosch three times before he got it right. Turned on the dishwasher and it worked. Douglas, the service man left. 30 to 60 minutes later, we had to call customer service again, because now the dishwasher was leaking on the floor. So, we had to make another appointment for the next day to for Douglas to return. The dispenser wasn't sealed proper. Douglas returned and fixed the matter. Job finally done. |The real problem we have with Mr. Appliance is there customer service, manager, and owner. |We had coupons for, $25.00 off any repair, or Free Service Call with repair, if you call before 5pm. We ask Douglas which was the better deal. |He said he didn't know and called the office. They told him to use the $25 dollars off. When we asked what the cost of a service call was, know one could tell us. No one at customer service. Then we find out the service call is $89.00. Called customer service again and was told the manager would give us a call to let us know how it works. We wanted the service call coupon to be used. Never received the call back. Called again and was told the owner would be in later and that he would give us a call. Never received the call. To this day have not received a call from the owner or manager. They did deduct the 25 dollars, but what a cheat way out for them. Also, their invoice does not give any kind of a break down. Worse invoice I have ever seen. |We will never use them again or refer them to anyone. | | |
