Greg and his technicians are always polite and professional to talk to; however, we have been very disappointed in their workmanship. The technician who installed a new electrical outlet for our movie projector tied it to a wall switch that operates overhead lighting on a dimmer--turn the lights off and the movie projector also goes off. Not a good scenario. Getting it resolved meant a second visit by another technician (we were not charged for the repeat visit, but it's an inconvenience that shouldn't be necessary for such a simple job). As for the outdoor circuit, after three visits and various explanations that the circuit is not overloaded and shows no evidence of shorts, it's still tripping multiple times a week. We're moving on to someone else to solve the problem.

They were reasonably priced and very straight forward. It was easy to do business with them and I will continue to do so.

We purchased a two story home built in 1970 from the original owner's family. The home had not been updated since it was built and was very dark inside and had many outdated, dangerous and out of code electrical problems. I spoke with several electrical contracting companies about what needed to be done, how long it would take and what it would cost to fix the problems. We selected Klock Electric to take on our electrical remodel after comparing their estimate and reviewing the company's reputation with Angie's List and the BBB. Owner Greg Klock came out the day after we called and spoke with us about our issues. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and took his time to answer ALL our questions (there were a lot). When I asked him about things I wanted done, that other elec. companies balked at, his response was and quot;no problem, we can do thatand quot; ...and amazingly they did them all! They started work on the day we agreed upon, with their FULL crew, and finished in under 1/2 the time other companies had said it would take. Their pricing was very reasonable and the clean up was good. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and relatives and we plan to use them again to do some outside lighting and hang some ceiling fans.

Every was done very professionally, and the quality of the work was very good. All the drops and outlets have a clean look to them.

I came to know about Klock and Vaughan through Angie's list. We thought they did a good job at first. We travel a lot, so the light turns off at 6 a.m. and turn on at 8 p.m. The light is not working now. We think that it may not have anything to do with their services. It may just be the quality of the product or something that I am not sure. They were on time. They were very professional. I would use their service in the future too.

Klock gets my highest rating. They were very responsive, could come the same day, finished replacing a burned-out and complicated switch box in less than 45 minutes, and were totally professional in his work. Also, cleaned up afterward. I was impressed, and fully endorse this company and their work.

Smooth sailing. I used Klock last year for a big job and was happy then and am happy now. They do sometimes arrive an hour or so later than advised but they get the job done, do it right, and are very friendly and professional. I trust these guys and will use them again when it comes time to remodel the kitchen.

They did a good job on adding a switch and exterior drop. Interior switchplate lines up with other one and looks good. The drop was exactly what the patio guys needed for a connection to the ceiling fans. Adding an outlet for my security system didn't go so well. There were problems with conduits/partial studs inside the wall, so without telling me first, the electrician put the new outlet in a different location than I requested. It does not line up with existing switch and looks bad. They were very responsive in sending an electrician with more experience to re-do it. Once he looked at it and explained the problems in the walls, I understood that it would be impossible to put the outlet where I wanted it. I just wish the first guy had told me about the problems, and I probably would have picked a different location entirely or just skipped getting a new outlet. However, they did try their best to fix it and it's not their fault that things in the wall are not normal.

We contacted another electrician for the work we needed done and the quote was unbelievably inflated. Quoted $600 to hang one Ikea pendant light in our kitchen/break room. So we came to Angie's List to find a reputable electrician with reasonable prices. Klock came in and quoted us $500 below the price of their competitor, so we hired them right away. Most of the work was simple electrical stuff. Hanging pendants. Installing switches. Raising two sconces to accommodate a white marker board in our conference room. All of that work was done well and the electricians made sure to leave absolutely no mess behind. Where they really shined was on a custom job we had for them. We have a very large vertical garden in our office (similar to the one at Whole Foods downtown), and the plants have been suffering from lack of natural light. Due to the size and number of plants, we needed a commercial-grade 600W grow light. To preserve the aesthetics of our office, we wanted to be able to raise the light high to the ceiling when not in use and drop it down when the plants needed and quot;sunand quot;. Ephraim with Klock Electric helped us install an electric winch on the ceiling that pulls the light up and drops it down, just like we wanted. He even crafted a custom switch to control the winch. We were very impressed with his resourcefulness and willingness to think outside the box. Most run-of-the-mill electricians would probably just say no to a project like ours, but Klock was willing to work with us, and for a good price too! We're very grateful.

I called a few of the top-rated electricians and Klock and Vaughan was the first to return my call. They were available to come out the next day and the price was reasonable. Easy from start to finish. Travis was professional and efficient. He called that he would be arriving about an hour and a half earlier than the estimated time frame. I will definitely use them again.

They quoted a better price than other electrical companies I contacted, and were able to come the same week. Jesse and his companion were polite, professional and competent. They did a great job.

I called in the morning, and they were able to come out in the afternoon and finish the job quickly without issues.

There wasn't anything I disliked. They were really prompt and did their work. I don't really know about the price because I haven't had electric work done before. I would use them again in the future.

Overall, their work was fine. They were just a little bit late to the appointment. I would not use them in the future.

He made a quick diagnosis and promptly fixed the problem

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The owner and his assistant were prompt and wasted no time getting to work by asking me the critical questions and then immediately zoning in on that issue. It was obvious they had the experience and knowledge to sense what probably was wrong very quickly, and indeed they got to the trouble and corrected the problem in a few minutes. Based on the other issues I was having, they very quickly went to the switches and receptacles in that half of the house and checked them out, finding some additional small issues and explaining to me how I could fix them myself if I wanted to. They also explained to me how the kitchen was wired and that I might need to add more outlets in the future for more appliances, and they gave me a quick estimate on what that would cost (however, they did not pressure me for committing to the work, etc. -- just very, very good information for me to think about). I was impressed with how much the owner and his assistant were able to do in such a short period of time, yet it was all very professional and thorough. They definitely knew what they were doing and had worked out a very effective and efficient way of handling repairs and upgrades. Very friendly, easy to work with, quick thinking and to the point. They'll be my first call for any electrical problems I have in the future or any upgrades I will be doing. Excellent work. Dave

They were good. They got it all done in two days and the owner was very helpful and he recommended this and that. They guy on the first day was over the top, he was just really good. They were very busy. I think they had more places to go besides my house, but overall it was a very good experience. I thought their price was pretty fair. They were very responsive. They were a little bit late at times. I would use them again in the future if need be.

The meter box had separated from the exterior wall of the house when the house was re-leveled a few years prior. I was quoted $800-900 by another company that told me that he would have to get a permit and bring the house to code if he did the work. I called Klock electric to see about getting an estimate for the work and was quoted $200-250 over the phone, I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday for work on Friday. Jeremy called ahead, making sure that we were available for the job to be done. He showed up at 8:30, as scheduled, and started working immediately. He was there for two hours and the job was a little more difficult than they had originally anticipated. They stuck with the quoted price and did a phenomenal job. He braced the conduit to the brick wall and even did a pull-up off the box to show that it wasn't going anywhere. I appreciated the confidence in his work and will certainly refer any of my friends that need electric work to Klock.

The job went wonderfully. Jeremy explained what could possibly be the problem with an outdoor outlet. He tested the outlet and found that it was making a complete circuit. We then knew there was not a problem with the wiring in the wall. He then installed the needed GFI's. He also explained the problem and how he had corrected it so that we understood. We highly recommend Klock Electric to other consumers. They are timely, reasonable, and efficient.

Very pleased with this business. Easy and prompt in setting and keeping appointment. Very professional on the phone and on the job. The work was done quickly and the quality of the work was excellent. I highly recommend this company for electrical work.
