Air Specialist installed my two Lennox systems with the builder back in 2009. Since around 2012/3 I have had the units on a service contract with Air specialists. The last two years (2013 and 2014) the technicians each said the upstairs unit must have some type of leak as the system was low on Freon. The 2013 technician spent considerable time looking for the leak but was unable to find one. The 2014 technician said system was again low and visually looked for leaks but did not find any. In both cases the technicians left with the 'supercool' in the 9+ range. This year.... after realizing that air specialist had failed to contact (mail/email/phone) for the fall winter service and seemingly were not going to schedule the spring tune up (as they had done in the years past), I reached out to them in early May and asked what was up with my system maintenances I was due under the service contracts. The lady on the phone mentioned that they had probably sent a card in the mail as a reminder both for the fall and spring. I received neither. She then went on to say that I would have to wait nearly a MONTH for the spring A/C system checkup and that the heater checkup was essentially lost at this point. So, now to the visit yesterday, they did call in advance of the appointment and the technician was on time. I told him about the previous technician experiences and to keep an eye out for any signs of refrigerant leak in the upstairs unit. He went up into the attic and said all looked fine with the systems. He then proceeded to the outside and pulled out a leak detector and said it appears the Schrader valve might have a very slow leak and he offered to replace it for around $40. I accepted. He then pulled out his gauges, ripped holes in the pipe insulation and connected up. He said both upstairs and downstairs units were low on Freon. He surmised that the other unit might also be leaked at the valve so I agreed to replace both. He brought out his valve replacement tool and attempted to replace the valve on the upstairs unit. After about 15 minutes of trying he could not get the valve to fully come out so he left it in place (I hope leaking the same or less than before). He did not try to change the valve in the downstairs unit at this point. He then proceeded to add Freon to both systems and said optimum supercool was in the 9+ range for these units. The downstairs unit he got to the 7+ range, but the upstairs unit was barely above 3. He mentioned that the outdoor cools were dirty and likely impacting performance. He said he could then clean them for ~$550. At this point, I was not sure I wanted him to proceed, so I said I would think about it as I am already thinking about either bringing in another technician or company to replace the leaking valves. He also told me that I had two speed units when I know that they are single speed. My confidence in this technician has basically slipped at this point. After he wrote up the summary for the service visit. He did not charge for the valve as it was not replaced nor did he offer any alternative to valve replacement as a fix for my leaks. He was utterly professional and polite throughout, but I will request he not return to my house. As a closing comment, I asked if he was going to tape up the holes he made in the refrigerant line insulation and he said no it was not necessary. I do wonder if it is not necessary why do they bother to wrap the pipes in insulation in the first place.

First, I received an email with Lance's picture. Then, I received a call 30 minutes before Lance arrived, right on time. He did a great job of testing and cleaning my AC equipment, which was found to be in good condition. He is very knowledgeable and I signed up for the annual maintenance program for my HVAC equipment. Very professional.

Air Specialists installed my system in 2008 and have been with them ever since for maintenance and repairs. I will only let their technician, David Bedingfield, do my work. He is hands down the best out there,. plus a very nice and trustworthy guy.

My first time using Air Specialist was a few months ago. I called several providers to do a maintenance check prior to listing a home for sale, and settled on Air Specialist based on price and availability. The tech, Alan, was late that day, but they called in advance to let me know that he was held up on another job, and would call me when en route. He arrived around 7 pm, and despite the fact that his prior customer was on the other side of town, and that I was his last customer of the day and of the week; he proceeded to do the most thorough maintenance check that I have ever experienced. All the while, the work was being done on at a coupon/special rate. I have since utilized their services for a second time, requesting the same tech as my prior experience, and am as satisfied as I was in my initial experience. So much so that I decided to put my money where my mouth is, and purchased a service contract. I would definitely recommend Air Specialist. While my in-home experience has been limited to one individual, if he's representative of the work that they do, they'll prove to be a worthy partner to this homeowner.

I contacted Dustin Harris with Air Specialist to do an estimate on replacing the air conditioners and furnaces on my rental property as well as my main residence. In addition to replacing the systems, Air Specialist recommended adding attic insulation at both properties as well as replacing the 60 year old ductwork at the rental property. I specifically wanted Trane or American Standard systems, so I limited myself to contractors who handled those brands. Air Specialist submitted very competitive bids on both properties, gave me good options as to what systems I might want, and took time to explain my options and answer questions. The crews showed up when they said they would, completely covered my floors and left my house in such good condition that you would not have known they were there. Before they left, the lead technician escorted me to the attic to show me what work had been done. These guys are the real deal. I highly recommend them.

Air Specialist did an excellent job in this entire effort. The salesman came out at a convenient time for me and he was very prompt and professional. He explained the various options and answered all my questions. Prior to the install, I was called the day before to confirm the appointment and 30 minutes before arrival to my house. The technicians were professional and very capable, they completed the job in approximately 5 hours with no issues. I inspected the work and pointed out one thing for them to address which they did without question. What sold me on the job was when the Field Supervisor showed up to inspect the work and ask if I had any concerns. I did not expect this quality touch and very much appreciated it. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I was pleased from the very beginning when called to arrange the services. Customer service representative Denise was very nice in explaining how the company operate, what will be done to resolve a problem we had with drain, offered a contract for 1 year that will include everything we needed. The thecnician, Allan, came on time. I was very impressed with him being very professional. He did an outstanding job. Even took his time to explain everything in details what cause the problem and how to fix it. Wonderful company! I will certainly hire them again and will recommend them to anyone.

Made a appointment with Air Specialist on Monday and they were able to be here on the following Thursday. Dispatch called to let me know that the technician was in rout 30 minutes before he got there to make sure the appointment was still on schedule. The technician showed up with the proper tools in hand and after greeting at the door put on the protective booties to keep our home clean. He performed all the checks needed for the check up and gave me a written report as well. I have used Air Specialist for seven years now and they have never missed a beat. I am lucky to have the same people who installed my unit service it. I don't make a habit of requesting one technician over the other but i have to say I don't have to with Air Specialist, every one that has come to my home know what they are doing and there is no pressure to purchase any upgrades just the facts. Keep up the good work.

Very efficient advisor came to my house on a Saturday morning to give me an estimate on the cost to replace me furnace. I called on a Friday, they were there next day. Needed a new furnace system... Gave me a very reasonable set of options, all with warranties. Very good company so far!

Last year Air Specialists was hired to do my spring air conditioning check and tune-up. I believe I paid them about $70 to do this. Their technician told me I needed a new system. Another a/c company (Comfort Air Systems) came out and found no problems with my system. I called Air Specialists to complain. I was told the offending technician had been fired and Air Specialists gave me a free tune up in 2014. This was why they were scheduled to do the 2014 system check. The technician (Phillip John) arrived on time and checked out my a/c system. He said I had a freon leak and needed $2155 worth of work done on my system. (I have a copy of his estimate ). He did not refill the freon in the system. He said it would do no good to put additional freon. Since my system was still cooling the house, I told him I would have to think about having my unit fixed. I then called Comfort Air Systems (281-836-2451) in Katy, Texas and paid them to come out and do my annual check of my air conditioning system. The Comfort Air technician (Craig Osburn) checked out my system and said my system was in good shape. Here it is in the middle of August - my house is cool and I did not have to pay Air Specialists $2155 . UPDATE: August 25, 2014 - Randy Harper of Air Specialists called to discuss my report. He assured me my system had a leak and needed repair. I told him I would report this and also say that another A/.C technician said I did not have a leak. My A/C system is still working fine - without the "needed" repair.

Unfortunately, our A/C quit cooling the evening of 27 Jul, after hours, of course. I called Denise of Air Specialist, and she immediately sent Mike T. to our home to get us working again. After recent continued issues with our A/C cooling, our Air Specialist technician, Scott S., came out on 2 Aug to make a thorough diagnosis and found we needed to replace the coil. The ladies I have talked with in the office by phone, Denise, Lauren, Nicko and Stephanie, of Air Specialist are all fabulous!! Nicko sent Mr. Mauricio and his assistant to our home to perform the work. Mr. Mauricio and his assistant were extremely professional, polite, prompt and quickly got everything installed and A/C cooling again. I was so impressed of how neat and clean they were in their workings. They came in wearing their booties, laid out their canvas under the attic door and discarded all garbage immediately as they were working. There was nothing to clean when they left...they took care of everything! I called into the main office to let Denise, the office manager, know how impressed we were of these installers and appreciated them taking care of us so quickly. Denise is always very professional while being personable, understanding the importance of our requests and exudes customer service. Denise is amazing, and we appreciate her assisting us beyond words! Thank you!

My first contact with Air Specialist was great. Phillip John came out to my house to inspect and service my A/C unit. I told him about a room not getting enough cool air. He suggested closing some vents to a couple of unused rooms that were on the same duct line. He also suggested adding duct work to create a straight line to that room if closing off the vents didn't do enough. Phillip was very professional and he educated me on my system and how it works. When he left I was extremely happy. After a couple of weeks I decided to have the duct work installed and he quoted me 219$. I set up an appointment and took a day off of work to have the work done. Around 2:30 the dispatcher called me to tell me that the technician was on his way. Ten minutes later I got a call from someone in the office saying that due to a mix up the technician did not leave with the equipment needed to do the work and they would have to reschedule. I lost a day of work due to their mistake so I was extremely unhappy. When I expressed this to the lady she shrugged me off. I told her I would have to think about if I wanted to have the work done by them and she flippantly said OK. After cooling off I called the next day and spoke with another service rep named Allen. He was great! He expressed his understanding of the inconvenience and sincerely appologised on behalf of the company. His acknowledgement went a long way to making me feel better. We scheduled a time for first thing in the morning to have Phillip John come back out. Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict he was not able to come; instead another technician, Paul, came out and did the work. He was very nice and professional. He was in and out in 30 minutes! There was more air but it wasn't as cold as the rest of the house. After contacting Air Specialist they sent Phillip John out again and he took a look. He did some adjustments and it increased the air flow. He then talked to me about air returns and educated me some more about how A/C units, returns, etc. function together. The room is much cooler and I am satisfied. I rate an A+ for Phillip, Paul, and Allen but the other two ladies I had to deal with really caused me a lot of inconvenience and frustration which brings the rating down to B. Because of the great work done (and really that is what matters most in the end) I will use them in the future for sure.

Air Specialist technician evaluated our old AC system because it stopped cooling. The unit was circa 1991, so it was time to replace. The tech recharged the old system so it would cool until the new system was installed. Cost of the initial service call was deducted from the cost of the new system. The technician and installers showed up as scheduled, and we were contacted about 30-45 minutes before their arrival. The crew took extra care to keep things clean during the service, and during the installation of the new system. We thought the pricing was very competitive.

The technician arrived within specified time window and called 30 minutes before arrival. He was very professional and helped immensely. He diagnosed issue with ac unit and discussed option. We thought our warranty wasn't valid anymore but he checked with main office and verified we did still have warranty. He then coordinated repair visit next day. So the tech saved us about $2000 by checking to ensure our warranty was still good. The repair occurred the next day and the two gentlemen were friendly, professional and work was completed quickly. My only issue is that when repair was scheduled it was scheduled 11-2 but at 2 no one had arrived or called. I know repairs can take longer than expected and things get backed up but I felt someone should've called to let me know. I called at 2:30 and was informed that techs were a little behind but they would get work done that day. The techs arrived a little before 6 pm. Again just let customer know, this didn't impact me much since I'm stay home mom but someone who works would have been.

That was the only time that I have used them but I would probably use them again.

I checked around for competitive pricing and AS was very competitive. This company is well organized and their HVAC specialist Dustin Harris answered all my questions accurately and professionally. The main reason I went with AS is because Dustin explained all the available options in full detail and allowed me to make an intelligent decision. I would use AS again and will recommend to anyone needing HVAC repair or replacement.

After talking with several companies about purchasing a new A/C and furnace, only the representative from Air Specialist really listened to our needs (one room not cooling enough, etc.) and gave us a solution, whereas the other companies did not. Naturally, we went with Air Specialist and couldn't be happier! They provided a great product and excellent service. Everyone was very professional and informative, and we highly recommend the company.

Technician was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the furnace problem and discussed the issue/cost with me. We already knew what was broken and he diagnosed it correctly. The new part was delivered to him fairly quickly and he installed it. We discussed the proper cleaning and maintenance of the system and he indicated that our system was clean and had been maintained well. They do offer yearly maintenance programs that were reasonable, however the man of the house does that himself as he is knowledgeable and experienced. The tech wore booties to avoid tracking outside debris into the house - I really appreciated that. I was very satisfied with their service and cost and would not hesitate to use them again.

We called Air Specialist when another company we originally hired completely messed up the job we asked them to do. The previous company failed a city inspection and that is when we had enough and looked for another company. We called Air specialist who came out and fixed the mistakes of the other company AND their total bill was a lot lower!! They were on time and very professional. They answered any and all questions we had and when a couple of other issues came up, they came out right away and fixed the problem. I can't say enough about them. I recommend them to all my friends and family and I wouldn't call any other company for my air and heating needs.

He performed the scheduled maintenance and found that the specialized light that we had purchased for allergies was no longer working, but still under warranty, so it was replaced for free. We received a $25 gift card in the mail from them, so we received an additional $25 off of the regular scheduled maintenance. From the time we used them to install our new AC through all these years, I find that their prices are very reasonable, they are extremely professional and we are very pleased with their service.
