Do not use this company! Had them put in a Trane AC 10 years ago and have had nothing but issue every year almost. As I sit here and write this post I am without AC. They’re not an honest do write by their customers by any means. Services are through the roof expensive. Charge me $295 for a $12 part! Absolutely unacceptable! You have been warned!

when the technician arrived he just kept telling me he should get paid for after hours pay even though I called the office and way before. Than after replacing a warrantied capacitor that took a total of 5 minutes he charged me $290.00. Keep in mind they replaced my whole unit less than 2 years ago. This is how they treat repeat customers. Find another company to help to help you.

They were great , they do the regular maintenance replace the filters for us they come out twice a year they check the compression once a year they did a really nice job! replace the original dock work and they replace the a/c unit and the heater.

Guys were friendly, explained everything, knowledgeable.

AC Review When my AC quit, I called my Home Owner’s Warranty. They assigned a service provider, who said the condenser along with the furnace had to be replaced. They gave me a quote that seemed high, but it came with a “90 day price match guarantee”. I checked Angie’s List to get more info. Brent called immediately, and I told him what I needed. Based on my explanation, he gave me a ballpark estimate that was far less than the other bid. The HOW’s contractor was ready to start the same day. We were hot, in a hurry, and had the price match guarantee; so we told them to go ahead. Brent said he would still write a proposal for us if I gave him the specs. I sent a list of the work items with the model no. of the unit, but Brent did not carry that model. He would have to call the manufacturer for pricing info; so could he just quote the equipment he had. I thought it was important to have the same model for a valid comparison. Brent took the extra time to get the pricing, and still did not charge for the estimate. When I received Brent’s proposal, I submitted it for the price match. At one point the provider agreed to return the difference between Brent’s bid and the final amount I had paid but they refused to account for the HOW allowance, which I believed they received from the HOW company. The next day they called back and said they would not honor the price match after all. They claimed the bid I submitted was not “legitimate” rather, it was just a copy of their proposal and the technician had not actually been onsite. Again Brent was willing to come to my home and give me another estimate. Above is the short version with just the main facts. There were many calls and text messages, and Brent was extremely very helpful the entire time. If I ever need any AC work in the future, I will hire Brent. I wholeheartedly recommend Air Specialist!

Everything went extremely well. It took two technicians about seven hours to complete the job. They were very careful when transporting equipment through the house up into the attic. When the job was completed, they even moved items back into the attic I had taken out to give them more working room. Outside, they were careful not to damage the house siding when installing the compressor through an extremely tight space. Overall, Air Specialists were wonderful to work with and I would hire them again without hesitation.

They were prompt and solved the problem. John T was courteous and patient even with me looking over his shoulder. They installed the system in the summer and came back to balance it out this winter and at no charge! They stood behind their work.

The company and their reps/crew were outstanding. Their price was very competitive. The work done was on time and as requested. I recently recommended them to a friend who received a great deal on a new AC system.

Great job. Salesman was very informative and was conclusive with research I did prior to our meeting. They were also the only company I called that wanted to see the house before giving estimates. Consultation was free.

While having our air ducts cleaned, mildew was discovered on the inside the supply plenum on our A/C unit in the attic (possibly from all the moisture Harvey dumped on us for days). Although the unit was only four years old, we decided it was best to replace it before it got worse. To hopefully avoid this type of problem in the future, we wanted to install some form of UV light in the plenum after it's replacement, but we were very concerned about the ozone that's released into the home's air from some of these types of lights. Matthew from Air Specialist listened and addressed all of our concerns about UV lights, and gave us information about each type on the market and which ones would address our concerns. After research, we decided on one of the Lennox UV lights and Matthew installed it for us. So far we've had no problems with this UV light, and we continue to be happy with Air Specialist's work.

Tech was nice and professional. I worked for service company for 32 years so I knew what to ask about pricing. Tech said he charges by the hour but if he replaced part it would cost $316.00. I asked how much the parts were and he said it's in the $316.00. I googled capacitor and it was $18.99. We won't use this company again. I will find one that breaks down parts and labor. He quoted $243.00 to clean coils. Shame on any company that marks up their labor costs because we live in Houston. I understand we pay for what we can't do but don't to charge what they did is wrong.

I am very disappointed that he did not do that. He put in a new unit that doesn't require batteries for $274.00. The office asked what they could do for me. When I mentioned paying part of my electrical billed they said no! They offered nothing! Except I am sorry.

As with my other reviews of this company, this big job went very well. From the technician checking my original concern with my old unit to the comfort specialist coming out to give me a bid and options. I decided with the type of refrigerant my old unit uses, it would be better to replace the complete unit. The comfort specialist explained all it would entail and we set a date to have it replaced. Alex and crew showed up on time and went to work. They were very careful to lay tarps down not to make a mess. The job took about 6 hrs. Which was about what I was told. I could have not asked for a better installation. Very neat, everything tied down and all equipment was explained as to how to use and maintain. This was a costly service but I feel I made the correct decision and knowing that Air Specialist has my back made it easier to swallow. This company is a class act A++ in my book.

I'm simply baffled by the lack of integrity demonstrated by this particular service member. I really wish I remembered his name but for now, the company that has employed him will receive the negative review for his actions. If they in fact condone this pricing, they should be avoided at all costs. The service technician quoted me $476.00 each for a simple Honeywell TH8110U1003 Vision Pro Thermostat. Honeywell doesn't sell a $476.00 thermostat. The vision pro 8000 can be bought for just under $100 each. DO NOT accept a quote from this company without doing your own research and getting an estimate from their competition. I put in a call to the company today and have not received their reply yet. I will update as more information is obtained.

The scheduling of the service visit as we as the punctuality of the technician 's arrival was very good. The technician came in and after diagnosis told me that the one capacitor is not working and the system is low on refrigerant and also indicated that there might be a possible leak in the coil. The reason on the capacitor was not convincing to me and I declined the advised replacements of the part and also the recharge of the refrigerant. I called another technician (reviewed separately) and he found that there was a blockage at TXV valve. The system is now running without any issue with the same old capacitor and NO addition of refrigerant. The cost of repair much less than the quoted price by Air Specialist and they were changing things that were fine ( i m sure after changing capacitor and charging refrigerant they would have changed the TXV also with my bills running to almost 1000 $) . I paid the service visit fee for the wrong diagnosis and unnecessary headache.

First visit from technician was on Friday. Diagnosed issue and indicated that part would need to be ordered. Said that it would be available by Monday and to schedule revisit. Some confusion on scheduling the second visit and main office failed to initially call back as promised. Then some doubt as to whether work could in fact be performed on Monday. In the end it was, but later in the day that originally indicated. In the end, work seemed to be satisfactory but a little bumpy getting there.
