Air Specialist

I must commend this company and its employees. It has been a pleasure working with these folks. The employees displayed a level of professionalism I have not seen in many years. Air Specialist should be considered an example for other companies to strive for. Great experience and a great job.

The problem was getting them here. Monday I had a four hour appt window. Missed their calls starting at 1:24 I called back at 1:45 and they're already knocked me off the list. Not put me at the bottom of the list but completely knocked me off. I am a repeat customer with the maintenance agreement, this was my fourth visit by Air Specialist and they still treated me like I was a bad customer, I have not missed a previous appt. after requesting to speak with the supervisor they scheduled me for Tuesday instead of Thursday. On Tuesday they called at 3:45 and he arrived at 5:15. If it was over an hour to get to the house why could they not give me more time to call them back?

They told me I needed a new pipe and a new wiring harness, plus freon, all at 2200$. When I inspected their work prior to putting in freon, all they did was electric tape the wires, and solder the tube. That in itself is fine, but that's not what I was paying for. When I fired them on the spot for lying to me and cheating me, unknowingly to me, they drilled a new hole into the copper tube. When I spoke to the President he basically told me his guys did nothing wrong and I am a liar. Well, I am not. Never use this company if you are smart.

Went well. Took one free service call for some fine adjustments. System works great and cam with a 10 year warranty. It is very difficult to find someone who sells and maintains these systems.

We've used them before. They are professional. You can negotiate price if you work at it.

Blower stopped working. More cost effective to get new furnace than to repair blower. Lots of options and price points to choose from. Promptly came out and replaced furnace the next day.

We cancelled our maintenance contract. They were very high in their labor costs and very aggressive in trying to sell us new units when our units were only a year old.Customer Service was great and techs were punctual.

We have a contract with them and whenever it is spring or fall they come and do the work. I don't know how much it is. I would use them again. I would say they are reliable. He was good.

Beyond pleased with the entire process from first contact to install completion.

My wife called on a Monday to schedule our spring check of our two air conditioning units expecting to hear scheduling a week or two out. Suprisingly, we were offered service the next day, Tuesday afternoon. We scheduled the service. Brandon Bass (Serviceman) showed up on schedule. Introduced himself, explained exactly what he was going to do. After completion of the work Brandon Bass explained clearly what he did, what he found and his recommendations. Throughtout the service call Brandon Bass was professional, polite and courteous in responding to all my questions. We are so pleased that we have an annual service contract with Air Specialist and that Brandon was dispatched to service our two units..

He did good work and was professional. He would be the one I will contact if I have any issues and plan on using then regularly.

The price is a little high. We've had them for years and they seem to do a good job in terms of getting things working right.

They're doing a very good job. For the two calls, it's about $130. Their price is competitive. I've had no complaints with the quality of their service. They're right on time. They're very professional and very efficient.

The service people I get change a bit and most of their people have been A’s but I have had technicians where I would drop to a B. Overall they have been pretty good. I have used them for 24 years.

They were the ones who installed it. I own a brand new house and they would come in and check it twice a year and make sure that it's up to snuff. The workers are very nice.

Called over weekend and answering service said someone would contact me. Waited almost 1-1/2 hrs. No return call. I called back and they said that due to the weekend and Labor Day no one would call me until Tuesday. Wish that I was told that on the first call. Do people only need air conditioning service 9-5 on weekdays? How nice would that be.

Great. Rick was on-time, hustled, dealt with my crazy dogs, got us cooled-off, and even taught me few good HVAC tricks.

They came out and I thought it was very good.

Air Specialist was scheduled for Thursday, my grown son came to the house and stayed so they could come fix the unit. I game them both mine and my husband's cell phone numbers to call us when they got there as we were both out of town until Friday. I called my son late that day to see how it was going only to find out nobody had showed up yet. My husband had forgot his phone and they had apparently called him to verify we would be home. They said that they called me also. They cancelled the appt because he did not answer. Nobody ever called my cell phone even though they said that they did, there was no record of any calls from them or even during that morning and afternoon. They said that they would not be able to come back out until Monday. This is Texas and the bedrooms are upstairs. I could not risk any of my out-of-town family becoming ill due to the extreme heat upstairs. I ended up calling a friend of a friend of a friend and they fixed it within hours of my family showing up. I ended up needing both inside and outside units replaced.

Have made 5 calls to office no return call.

The salesman and office people are very helpful and pleasant to do business with. The guys who came out to install did a good job. They had a bit of a tough job as my house was built in 1965 and as with all old houses it's never that easy. But, I am very pleased with the work. They arrived when they were supposed to and did the job in one day. One of the guys started cutting a new return air in the wrong room, but luckily I was there to stop him. There was a cut in the sheetrock and they sent someone out in the next couple of days to fix it. It looks very good. They enroll you for the warranty with the manufacturer and will send you the paperwork if you ask for it. If not, they keep it on file at their office.

The cost was free; that comes with what they packaged.
