We later learned from other estimators the whole house should be repiped since all pipes were in a degenerated state. We called and requested an additional quote for the whole house repipe but did not receive this by email as promised. So we were unable to compare their quote with those for a whole house repipe. They seemed like expert and good plumbers. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Gibert and Manuel came at 1:00 pm and proceeded to the kitchen sinks as I told them what the problem was. They just jumped in on the problem and worked for about 11/2 hours to get to the blockage. I was really impressed with the work habits and how they did their very best to not make a mess. I stayed out of their was and let them work. After the drain was cleared, cleaned up what was really not their mess but mine. I was very appreciative of the work done and how Gilbert explained how and why this happened. And yes this was my fault as I did not listen to the wife not to put the cuttings from the bruattle sprouts. I thank the guys and they left after getting my check. Thanks

Plumber arrived on time, changed out gasket but discovered we needed additional work because of the wrong gasket was used when the house was built. I appreciated his detailed explanation of the bigger issue that may have gone unnoticed and in the long run saved us money in repairs. Will use this company again.

They gave me a quote over the phone and made an appt. for that afternoon. They arrived on schedule and completed the work. They were very professional. The charges were exactly what was quoted. I only gave a B for price because it seems that's a lot for the labor but that's just the way things are now. I would definitely use them again.

They came out promptly to evaluate the problem and give me an estimate. They were very professional. The serviceman stated he would need to come back and cut a hole in the ceiling. They came back on that Monday, cut the hole in the ceiling and showed me it was not a pipe , but my air conditioning unit in the attic causing the problem. Because of the way they handled my call they are now my plumbing company for the future.

Had another provider come out on an emergency basis, since the water was off in the house after a hose bib broke in the wall and quote $350 and to cut a hole in the wall a foot square. Thought far to high and said thanks but no thanks. Called a couple of other places and while one other quoted around 350 +/- several others quoted $175 or so but couldn't get out until the next day. These folks were able to come out that afternoon so said great - one other $175 guy called back after I found these guys saying schedule was freeing up and could come, but these guys were already coming, so..... Given the very short notice, I'll give them a pass on arriving 20mins late..... They came and were professional. They had a widget - said was new on the market that would have worked great if access had been easier. Turns out that area of the house had "lathe" rather than vacant space surrounding the pipe extending out of the house and connecting to the hose bib. The lathe created problems and they wound up making a hole in both the exterior and interior walls using a saw saw. Of course being slow at the moment, and not overseeing this type of stuff frequently anymore I had no better idea at the time. That said they were quite willing to work with me, but having no better idea I gave them the go ahead and they repaired the problem, but I did wind up with holes in both the exterior and interior walls. They repaired the faucet, held to the price and ....... Well I found a couple of four things later.... They did not replace the $5 hose bib back flow preventer and of course I found one of the toilets had very dirty water from the sprinkler system flowing into it - $5 later a trip to the home improvement store screwing it on fixed that... sigh - I walk on a cane and am in constant pain so that is bigger for me than for some - sigh.... They did not put spray sealant foam in the cavity so I would have been left with a hole to the outside for bugs, rodents and etc to enter, but having a can around I sprayed some in that night with held from the wife. All along I just knew there was a better way than those holes etc. and watching a home improvement show that night I figured it out. I THINK all that was needed is a large format bit for a regular drill. You know one that is used to drill holes in doors for the door knob mechanism. Center the bit over the broken/cut off pipe and drill through the lathe, then trim the pipe again if necessary - attach the new widget connector that they had. Note the large format bits can leave a piece of material that when supported from the back can be used to repair the hole.... put that underneath the flange - use a couple of paint stirrers and quick dry epoxy to form a back that you can then glue the cut out material to. Think filling the hole with the spray foam, put a standard stainless, copper or plastic flange used for bathroom drains at the walls over the pipe - allow the spray foam to expand around the pipe out the center hole (it will also act as glue) finish connecting the hose bib and backflow and done, although trimming foam and caulk might be advised.) If I had thought of it at the time, I know the plumbers would have a) tried it or b) shot down the plan for some reason I still do not see. It may seem odd to some, but all the trades are subject to change, and it seems like these guys were on top of the latest improvements - very good! Suspect they and the couple of others quoting around $175 were on top of this innovation and the $350 guys old school or charging old school prices for new school tech - so good. Very good they held estimated prices - though $175/hr is high but on an emergency basis, and retail pricing plumbing a pass. Willingness to work with you and explain is very very good! Unfortunately, they had not seen tried implemented and I had not seen the above solution - which would not be necessary for normal stud framing - it was the lathe that created the problem - although they were using the saw saw rather than a drill with wide bit to create the hole in the house - so were never planning the foam flange finish - still the best way to use new tech can take a bit to shake through...... Angies is sensitive to even "B" grades, and I believe that the connector is indeed new. Given their responsiveness, willing to work and competitive pricing I am holding to an A, but could the job have gone better yes! Did I have water in the home that night, yes. Was I glad they held their price, yes - though I might have given them that the lathe was unforeseen!

The service was excellent. They called when they were on the way and arrived as scheduled. Came in assessed the problem and went right to work on it. They were very considerate of the home by wearing protection on shoes and cleaning up after they finished. Very polite, very professional. This is the third time I have hired this company and I have been very pleased on each occasion. They previously installed a tankless water heater and replaced the water line to my refrigerator/freezer. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to my friends.

The technicians arrived near the end of their day, were very friendly, and went right to work. They needed a part so they made a trip to the local hardware store and were back in 15 minutes. The cartridge was 35 years old and very stubborn to remove, but i could tell they were experts at this type of thing and they had it out and the new one in within 15 minutes. I was very impressed and will definitely call them in the future.

They came, did estimate, then came back next day and replaced the line. Cost was cheaper than estimate because of Angie's List coupon (5% off). They were very good!

We had a toilet blockage which we tried to clear ourselves by renting a snake tool from Home Depot. It appeared to work; however a few days later, the same problem occurred, so we looked in our neighborhood newspaper and saw the ad for A Better Plumbing. In the ad it referenced an A rating from Angie's List, so I checked your website and sure enough, they had an A rating throughout, so we called on 2/10 and they arranged an appt for 2/11 and even called back to arrange an earlier time due to a scheduling cancellation. They were prompt and courteous. But that's the last complimentary thing we can say. They tried the snake as we had and it didn't work; they ran into a solid blockage. They went back to their warehouse for the camera (with our permission) and looked for the blockage. They thought they saw it with the camera; however, they said because of the location, they could not clear it safely and would need to install a new line to hook from the bathroom plumbing into the main line, thus bypassing the blockage. Their estimate for doing this was $9,720. They also advised that there was not a main cleanout valve for our home and that they had worked on the homes in our neighborhood for the past 16 years and they didn't have them (Perry Homes buil5 in the 1970's and 80's). The next day, my husband went into the back yard and found the cleanout valve; it was buried but only about 1 foot in the ground. A Better didn't even try to dig for it. On Thursday, another plumbing company came out and tried the usual snake but it didn't work so they arranged to come back the next day with a more powerful snake. They were able to clear the blockage with this and things are back to normal in our house, no thanks to A Better Plumbing. They didn't make the effort to find the main cleanout valve, they didn't make the effort to use a stronger snake tool; they skipped all the other conservative options and jumped to the $9720 job which was completely unnecessary. They charged us $690 for taking off the toilet, trying the snake tool and then using their camera to look into the pipe. I hope others will be careful before using these folks. Thank you

The original washer hookup valves were corroded and needed to be replaced. The employees recommended that both hot and cold water valves be replaced since they were the same age and since they were already on-site (thus saving a future service call). The employees removed the old valves, soldered on the new ones, and after checking for leaks neatly replaced the sheetrock that had been removed. Even though it wasn't part of the service call, the employees reconnected the washer without charge. They left a clean worksite. The employees were prompt, courteous, and professional. Despite being the holiday season, there was not an increase in the charge.

Sink stoppage was beyond the reach of standard kitchen "snake" auger. The service was timely and the workers kept a clean worksite. After the professional auger was removed, the workers cleaned the floor where it sat.The price was reasonable and the employees were courteous and gave helpful advice.

They are fine and we are using them regularly. They are just professional and they give us a lot of options price wise as well as solution wise. They are willing to work with what we got. They are doing work for our business.

We needed service to our kitchen and laundry drain line. There was no flow. We got estimates for a full house re-route and re-route of the problem areas only. There were 3 companies that were all around the same estimate. In the end we decided to go with A-Better Pumbing. Of the 3 companies there was nothing that really set them apart. We just went with who presented themselves honestly and who we felt comfortable with. We had 2 other companies that came in for estimates. One company was outrageously high, another was also high. I definitely recommend home-owners get estimates from several companies. Back to A-Better Plumbing. A-Better plumbing ran camera lines to confirm that the other drain lines were in good shape. Once we had confirmation we were not pressured to into a whole house re-route. A-Better plumbing was prompt to start. Performed all the agreed to work. The work consisted of re-routing 2 lines. The total feet was about 90 ft. Work included trenching, Breaking thru patio concrete, opening exterial brick wall, cutting out old cast iron pipe and attaching new PVC and running new line and connecting to sewer, closing exterior wall and repacking the dirt. We were responsible for covering the patio concrete. Inspector came and confirmed the work was performed satisfactory before everything was covered. The work took 2 days to complete. All workers did a great job. A-Better Plumbing have plumbers/workers that work hard. Everyone did a fantastic job. Thank you A-Better Plumbing! I would definitely recommend them and would use them in the future.

Cavazos Plumbing has been good. I have been using them for a while and I would recommend them. They are prompt. There pricing is reasonable. They have good communication, they explain what's going on and what they find.

Showed up promptly, maybe a little early. Found problem which involved cutting into dry wall. Fixed problem and was completely done in less than an hour. I like this company because they can usually get to me the same day I call them, they are always prompt, professional and fix the problem right.
