Technician looked at control pressed the liter button and the burner lite. He then wiped his hand over one of the side vents and said that could have been the problem...did not vacuum off the vents. Nothing wrong with control valve. Charged me $150 for lilting the heater. When I questioned the charge, he said that was a discounted charge. Never gave me an estimate for what the work cost...because nothing was wrong with heater. Talked with their manager and got the story about how much it cost to run the business. They offered to take $25 off bill. Their service assessment is $49...would have considered that to have been fair because that's all he really did. Have done business in the with A-Better Plumbing for home and rental property and charges were fair. Understand they have new owners. Senior taken advantage of...

Great - no complaints and I have used them since then for a plumbing issue with the same excellent service.

Our building didn't have any vents on it to let the fumes out. So all that was going into our shop. They came and installed the vents and they were like $400 cheaper than that other place we called to get a quote.

Russell was great and very professional.

Ariel did a great job overseeing and completing the job - the equipment wouldn't fit between the house and fence so he and one other worker manually dug the trench and took time to cut the grass in sections to be placed back after line passed the city inspection which it did with no issues.

They arrived on time, following my wife's instructions to call 5 minutes early so we can put our dogs up (Outstaning!! Almost no company remembers to do this.). They assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. When I thought that was to high for the job the tech politely excused himself and contacted the office. I received a phone call shortly after from the polite and kind lady in the office and we reached an agreement quickly. Work began instantly and within 20 minutes all was well. Great job people! The plumber and his assistant were quickly able to unclog the toilet. However, they did not have the right tool in their van to clear the drain under the sinks in the Master Bath. I was disappointed they had not brought the necessary tool. Instead they recommended I buy a 1/2 gallon bottle of BioSmart. Unfortunately, their poking around had turned a slow drain into a completely stopped-up drain. The assistant went back upstairs to pour 1/2 cup of the BioSmart treatment into the drain but the sink was full of water -- the BioSmart might have worked on a slow drain, but it did no good whatsoever sitting in the sink. We were unable to use the sinks in the Master Bath for the several days it took for the plumber to return with the proper tool. Now I have a pricey bottle of BioSmart that I don't want. Cost for first visit: $249 Cost for return visit to fix drain they should have fixed the first visit: $150

They do good work. They are reasonably priced. They are trustworthy. I trust them. I've had them do lots of work before. This wasn't the first time I used them. I am a repeat customer because of my prior experiences with them. I really can't say ways to approve. They really are awesome. I've never had a problem with the techs that come out. They are competitive price wise. They're fairly priced. Always on time. They are definitely professional.

They did a marvelous job. I never had to call them back. They solved the problem in one visit.

We have had this service done every couple months for past few years. First they made us wait days for service Then they doubled our price to $390.00 out of now where after job was completed. Very unproffesional. Anyway I detailed my argument to one of the managers " Roland" and his response was "THANX" They should remember where they got most of their customers in the first place with Angies list. That's how I found them the first time. So disappointing and they just lost a contract for the new location that would probably be in the 40-50k range. Im sure I did myself a favor seeing what direction their service is going.

Everything went well they change the gas lines out. They pressure check the line, if there wad an issue they would make sure they fix it. They complete the work until the pressure hold for the inspector.

The plumber was excellent - professional, quick, experienced and had all of the right equipment to do the fix on our pond plumbing. I am so sorry I had not called them first! I can't say enough how glad I am that they sent Russell to do this job. He came out 10 minutes before the expected arrival time. Got right on the job based on my explanation of the problem. And he completed the job within 2 hours. The water to the pond water is now flowing beautifully and the Koi will now survive!

He showed up about 30 minutes before I was expecting him and went right to work to try to find the problem. Of course I was charged for an hour which is about the time he was here. Luckily he didn't have to do anything else today. He was very professional and seemed very honest.

I have never had the pleasure of experiencing such great customer service with any contractor / home service repair company until my most recent interaction with A-Better Plumbing. From my initial contact with Zasia on the phone to Lance who came to my home to give an estimate; it was all wonderful. Lance put everything in writing for me and He and Daniel both showed up on the day and time as promised, completed the job with no surprises and even went the extra mile to help me identify a problem that we were completely unaware with our roof that seemed to be the culprit and source of our rotten water heater issue. I had initially called 3 other companies and the difference in price was anywhere from $500-$800 more. They also honored the 10% discount offered in Angie's list for Seniors. In short, if you need a plumber for any thing and would like the job done well and reasonably priced - I recommend this company.

I had a leak in one of my bathrooms upstairs and a shower head that was not allowing free flow of water. The provider sent someone and was given me this quotes: Camera to check the leak: $ 345.00 Cut sheet rock to check: $95.00 Check shower head / replace catridge: $289.00 Replace toilet (labor): $190.00 I was deperate for answers so I asked hinm to go ahead with the sheet rock cut ($95.00) and we found out there was no pipe leak as I had thought. So it was discovered that the toilet was the culprit. We called another company and the service technician from the company came and brought the camera fro free. He used the camera without charging anbything and fixed the shower head for free. He said that it was a minor thing with the shower head. We have replaced the toilet and other plumbing jobe with the other company and not with A-Better plumbing. Will Never call this company again!!!!!

I wish all service professionals were of this quality. I received a written quote which they stuck to. I was told the price up front. From making the appointment (short wait time) and given specific date and 1 hour time window. The provider was on time, clean and professionally dressed in uniform and name badge. [Sidenote: This matters because with another provider-- 2 service guys showed up dirty and reeking of smoke--I had to air out my house after they were only there for 15 minutes to give a quote.] The service guy put on shoe covers and did the work professionally. This is definitely my go to plumber for any future needs and if friends need a referral. We had two different service providers from A-Better Plumbing do work in our home--Chad and Lance--both performed Excellent and Consistently! Thanks for a job well done!!!

We have used this company before for small plumbing repairs. Their personnel have always been prompt and professional. So it was easy to go to them for our new bathroom remodel. They did a perfect job on every aspect of the work. They have a new show room where we saw and picked our fixtures, toilet and vanity. We had already agreed for another contractor to do our tile work before seeing what A-Better Plumbing could do. Knowing the type of work they do we would have chosen them to do our tile work also. We will be remodeling our kitchen in the future and will definitely include them in the project.

The appointment was for 10 - 12, and they called at 9:55 and said they were in-route. Excellent! Joseph was very professional and very informative about the job. Joseph did an assessment of the tank water valve as part of the job and made an adjustment to the water level that had been set wrong when the valve was installed. The work was performed flawlessly and clean-up was performed at every stage of the processes. I would highly recommend them based on the work, friendliness, and attention to the whole job (on time, check all details, and constant clean-up). Will certainly use them again for any plumbing job we need.

They were super fast! They came out twice. They removed the old water heater and installed a new one in less than an hour. First visit was to measure our existing space and the second was for the actual install. Very professional and respectful and they cleaned up after themselves. We will keep them in mind for future plumbing needs.

Called the guys in to fix a suspected gas leak at water heater ignitor area. Arrived 4 hours late took an hour and a half to replace a copper tube and at the end weren't sure if they fixed it properly. In the house end they left recommending I buy a whole new heater.

First, let me say that my initial contact and dealings with A-Better Plumbing was nothing more than professional. They came out and checked my hot water heater because I had intermittent hot water in my bathroom. My hot water heater is over 12 years old and with t he new regulations that just came out, I decided to go ahead and replace while we could still get the old fashioned kind. I was a little skeptical at first with the brand they replaced with. We have an American Standard and they replaced with a Bradford White. I searched online and that brand did not have good reviews, but after talking with someone on the phone at A-Better, they convinced me the commercial models were excellent and they had no problems. The same technician and another guy came out for the replacement (the initial inspection was free). They wored protective booties on their shoes and introduced themselves. They were very nice and professional. Now - to the not so good part. The techs had just fininished and left my house, when my husband came home from work and went up in the attic to inspect the job. We have an air return duct that was held up by a strap to a rafter over the hotwater heater. The strap had been cut and the return duct was now sitting on top of some pipes to the hot water heater. Immediately, we called the office to have the guys come back out to fix that and the lady called back and said they technicians left it the way it was found and they had pictures. Now, granted in a picture it would look like the duct was sitting on the pipes, but they know good and well, they cut the strap to get the old hot water heater out and they just forgot to put the strap back. My husband was frustrated and said forget it, he would take care of it. Upon further inspection, he noticed they did not use pipe dope on all connections. Maybe the typical homeowner would not notice or even care, but we do. We are very frustrated that given how great the customer service was BEFORE the sell, they did not go the extra mile to make sure we were satisified. All the guys had to do was turn right back around and make it right or at the VERY LEAST, the owner should have called us to see what the issue was. Instead, it was just forgotten about. We fixed the duct issue ourselves, but are very skeptical that given the connections without pipe dope and the reviews on this heater, that it will last very long. I gave then fair for price and service because the price was cheaper than others I called and the service was great AT THE BEGINNING. I just don't feel they followed through to make sure the customer was satisfied. If they would have, it could have been a better review.

We had a leak under our slab. Mr. Cavazos came out to the house, assessed what the potential remedies could be for this and gave a good quote for replacing all the below-ground plumbing with plumbing starting from the attic. We picked him because he was professional in his approach to solving this, was calm and answered all our questions, understood the general plumbing line directions below the slab, listened to our concerns and alternatives and had done this type of jobs on other homes in the area. His crew showed up on time on Monday to fully assess and finalize what the job would entail: sealing off all the below ground pipes (5: 3 cold and 2 hot), bringing in a new water inlet into the house and having all the water needs coming from a header system in the attic. Their 2 crews on Tuesday installed all of this, which was quite a job getting water to the kitchen sink. They used most of the copper piping that was in the attic, eliminating unnecessary pipe runs to the other bathrooms and laundry room. He used PEX, which was great as it could bend around corners and is tough enough to withstand freezing conditions. His crew on the third and final day insulated all the pipes in the attic. Each day, they cleaned up after their work. They were very neat and clean, always putting on their "booties" when coming into the house. They laid out lots of sheeting to protect the carpets and furniture from the sheetrock dust. Overall, we were very pleased with his team's work and would recommend them on jobs like this.

I called first and they gave me a ball park price (around 1000). Since that was in my budget they sent someone over to firm the price up (the final price was 1050). The crew was very friendly and polite. There was a minor miscommunication but they resolved it very quickly with little anguish on my part. I would highly recommend them.

Roland and his team repiped our entire house and added a dull bath downstairs that included trenching and new sewer connection. His team worked quickly and competently. They cleaned up behind themselves and Were very polite and professional. Both Roland and his workers answered my many questions and addressed all of my concerns. Zasia and Sandra in the office were awesome and got the ball rolling quickly. They were responsive and friendly. I would recommend Roland and A-Better Plumbing to anyone who is looking at an overwelming plumbing task.

Russell was awesome. Friendly, courteous, thorough and on time. He checked all areas of the house to determine cause of a small water stain. I have postponed doing the work (replacing a ring under the toilet) until speaking with my husband but he gave me an estimate on the spot and there was no charge for coming out and looking.
