Contractor came out for an initial visit to survey the job and estimate the cost. Job went very well. Contractor spent an inordinate amount of time visiting with us and telling old war stories during both visits. He beefed up the door with stronger than the original door. Very pleased with the work and the product. Paint matched perfectly.

My garage door was inoperable after the foundation was leveled on my home. The door had become bent and ripped. I called Pasadena Garage Door Co. after reading good reviews on Angie's List. Mr. Gary Tegethoff came out on Saturday to give me an estimate to replace the two car garage door. He quoted me a price of $745 to replace the door. The garage door opener was still working but was old and did not have a motion sensor on it. I felt this was unsafe so I asked Gary to replace the garage door opener also. He gave me a quote of $425 to replace the garage door opener. He said he could do the work the following Monday morning. Gary showed up on time, was extremely professsional and replaced the garage door and the garage door opener. He replaced all of the equipment, rails, springs, hinges and hauled all of the old equipment away. He also put some extra bracing on the door to keep it from sagging in the future. He did an excellent job and was very courteous. I am very opinionated and believe in telling you if the job is done right or wrong. So, believe me, when I say he did a fantastic job from start to finish, I am telling you the truth. Gary was very prompt, called me when he said he was going to, returned my phone calls, did a great job at a good price, did quality work, installed quality equipment. I am very pleased to finally be able to get good service. I would definitely recommend his work to anyone.

Gary arrived promptly and looked over the garage door very thoroughly. He provided options regarding repairs and replacement costs. We decided to replace the door instead of just doing repairs. He did the replacement at our convenience and we were very happy with the outcome. We felt that he was very fairly priced on the garage door replacement.

Good price for both springs on double garage door; also suggested new rollers (which I knew I needed). Everything went pretty quickly, very professional, and the price was very reasonable (and I'm a cheapskate)

I talked to Gary Saturday afternoon. He said he would try to come by Sunday evening or Monday evening. He called back and showed up Sunday before noon. He found all the issues. He replaced my springs on both doors, pulleys and other things. He performed maintenance (oiling and such) on both. He then programmed my remotes, keypads, and built in car (Volvo S60) remotes. All I can say is I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Gary and I feel he was VERY REASONABLE on his price. I did not get that feeling that he saw a nice house/neighborhood and that raised his price.

Mr. Gary was the name of the person. I chose him because he was in the close proximity of my house. I remember coming back from the church and that was when the problem occurred. It was on a Sunday and I panicked. I did not know as to how I had to go through my garage door but there was no way that I could maneuver my car out of the garage door. It would not come up manually. It had buckled a little bit towards the top. So, I immediately went in to my home, got on my computer, logged into Angie's List and started searching. I called him and he called me back immediately. I thought that was commendable. He told me that he would come out. I told him my dilemma. He told me that he would come out sometime that morning to get my door up and make an assessment. I would at least be able to get out and go to work. He came. He called me later on that afternoon as he had a job and I had mine. He came back to my home later on that afternoon and assessed the problem. He gave me a call and told me what he thought that the problem was. He fixed it. He was a very nice person. I thought that the price would be a lot more. My garage door sounds nice. I can barely hear it coming up and before it sounded like a roar coming to an end. He came when he said that he would be there and he was ringing my door bell. He was very professional and I would like to grade him highly all the way around. He is in my address book and he is the first person that I am going to call in the future.

First time to use Angie's List. Gary was nice guy. Came out at no charge to diagnose the problem and give estimate. Price was good and he came back the next day at our convenience and did the installation. Prompt, good work. friendly. Would highly recommend!

This was my first use of Angies List. I had had poor or very expensive service for garage doors in the past and had no recommendations from friends or neighbors. I selected Pasadena Garage Door Co for an electric eye problem based on very favorable recommendations in Angies List.. I want to add my own positive experience. The proprietor, Mr Tegethoff, arrived the day that I called, found that I was misreading the symptoms, made a minor adjustment and did this without charge. He is truely a quality professional.

I called one night and Gary was able to come to my home the following day after I arrived home from work at the appointed time. I had been having an issue with raising an lowering my door which hadn't been working properly. After he checked everything he showed me what the problem was and gave me very useful information on what I needed to do so that the problem wouldn't happen again. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was very surprised and pleased that he didn't charge me a fee. He said there was no service charge at all since no actual work was done. I would use Gary again and would recommend him to anyone who needed prompt and courteous service.

They are very good. I would recommend them. They are nice and friendly. We trust them. You could leave your garage unlocked and they will fix it while you are gone.

We hired this man a few months prior to repair the double garage door - the spring had broken. He was prompt and did a great job. So we called him back to install these seals on our single garage door. He did a good job again. Then this past month the double garage door showed intermittent problems (not related to the spring he repaired). I called him back and he checked it over, found nothing, made sure all the adjustments were correct, and didn't charge anything. But here is the best part. This gentleman ACTUALLY answers his phone when you call and even better, he ACTUALLY shows up when he says he will. Lots of other businesses could learn from that.

Gary was a total professional and did a great job, and will use his services in the future if needed

I called three businesses from Angie's list. I obtained three bids; this was lowest. Gary provided same day service. Was running a little late, but called when he was on his way. He answered all questions before starting the work and while doing the work. He seemed to give everything a thorough inspection and was meticulous about setting the spring tension and leveling the door. Recommended that I replace the garage door opener soon, but did not push a sale.

Gary was recommended by a co-worker as being honest and fair. Even though I'm not in his part of town (Missouri City vs Pasedena) he was able to come by the next day and do the repair. My husband was here to meet him so I'm not sure what all was done, but the door was able be fixed with out replacing the door or track. He also did some preventative maintenence on both garage doors while he was here. The door works great now.
