Fantastic! I am in the process of relocating and on a tight time line to sell my house. Owen came out the same week to work within the window of time I had available. He gave me a high low estimate but said that he would have to drill to be more accurate. He worked us in earlier than expected and was able to complete in one day. Owen took the time to show me where short cuts were taken during building and how they were correcting the issues. They are fair and honest. I never felt like he was selling something I didn't need. I will definately recommend to my friends And family.

Owen was very nice and took a lot of time looking at my stucco problems. I am not sure yet what all I will do or who will do it. He sent a proposal promptly and checked back with me. It is a very big project and I need more research.

Owen was great. Most of the cracks are completely invisible now. He even came back to fix one large crack that reopened, for free.

Excellent! Owen is responsive to calls (hard to find that these days), very professional, very knowledgable and very fair. He was thorough, detailed and precise, and was very respectful of our property and plants (also very hard to find). Working with stucco is a messy job, but he removed and replaced the bottom half of two exterior walls and except for the lovely new surface, left no trace that he was ever there. We chose Owen because of his great reviews, and we're happy to add another to the list - they are well earned.

He didn't drag out the project. His crew was in and out of the project on a very timely basis leaving the surrounding very tidy. We expected the job to be more than it turned out to be from other contractors we had spoken with. I have no doubt his knowledge of stucco repair saved us money in the long run vs using other contractors guessing at a solution to repairing the problem. I would highly recommend Owen. I know you would be satisfied.

Owen was great. He responded quickly to the posting, had a quick turn-around time on the inspection, was informative. I highly recommend Owen for any/all stucco work.

If I could do this project again, I would not have Owen do this stucco job for us. Overall, it was sloppy and attention to details was ignored. We hired Owen because he had several "A" reviews on Angie's List and thought that we couldn't go wrong. However, we had to call him out twice to fix and clean up, some of which was never completed. Issues: (1) The texture of the old stucco was not matched in the repairs nor in the areas that he had to return to touch up in the new stucco. (2) Weep holes were blocked off, then re-opened, then drilled out with some damage to the brick and the texture no longer matches the rest of the stucco. One of the weep holes is still blocked off by the front door. (3) He advised us that we needed to seal off the old stucco. Then offered to do it for free, but left many gaps, leaving us to question the work. We later learned that the old stucco never needed to be sealed off and the weep screed shouldn't be covered in order to allow the stucco to breathe. (4) The job was sloppy. Stucco was left all around the front and side of our home, including his pile of sand right in front of the front entry. My husband ended up having to remove stucco from our windows, even after asking Owen to remove it. Stucco also got all around the bolts of our water faucet and on the sidewalk on the side of the house. We had to use a pressure washer to clean it. (5) In the sun, you can tell that the new stucco was not laid out in an even layer against the brick. There are wavy patterns, unlike the old stucco that was evenly laid out. (6) Holes by the front door in the stucco were filled in with caulking after Owen advised me not to fill in stucco damage with caulking. (7) For the price paid, I would have expected to have weep screeds installed on the new stucco since that is the standard installation method to allow the stucco to breathe. We'll do more of our homework next time. In the end, I wish we had just left the brick or at least hired another contractor for this work. Now, we feel like we have a mess on our hands and have to hire someone else to fix it. We are convinced that Owen's Stucco Repair does not know how to finish a stucco job with the work that he and his crew completed on our home.

We recently purchased a resell home built in 1999 and had a home inspection done prior to closing on the home. The inspector made various findings; we got repair estimates and lowered the price accordingly. Unfortunately, on the stucco exterior the only findings were various nicks and dings from lawn work etc., a few thin cracks then inspector said was normal, and he said the windows and a couple of other stucco penetrations needed sealing. With him noting no major stucco concerns, so we put $2,500 in for repairs, and after reductions of all of our repair estimates from the sales price, and we closed on the home. We called Mr. Lassiter, since he seemed to be highly rated on Angie?s List, and asked him to come out and give us a price to fix the dings, seal things, and repair the cracks if needed. He came out the next day and called us back. We asked if he had found all of the things in the report and asked what it might cost to repair. He was very apologetic and said yes, he found and could fix all of those things, but that our big problem wasn?t mentioned in the inspector report, and that was the fact that all of the wood under the stucco below every window seemed to be rotten. I said the inspector didn?t say anything about that and he said he was sorry, but that is what the situation was. He met us at the house that day and showed us that you could feel under the stucco that the wood just flaked off in our hand. I called the inspector, he said he thought it would be fine, and that it shouldn?t be an issue, and that sometimes at the very bottom, some wood would become dry and flaky. Well, we trusted Mr. Lassiter, and gave him the job and to check below the windows as he suggested. As his crew, Joe and the guys, started saw cutting the stucco, they found the backing boards were in various states of rot. In some places it had totally rotted away, in others just large areas had rotted, and fortunately found only a couple of places we had frame damage. Owen?s crew rebuilt everything, actually better the in areas of repair than original, took great care to match the replacement stucco on the bands and walls to other areas not repaired, and actually refinished large areas facing the street just to assure everything looked as new. They also found several other areas they thought might be damaged or become an issue in the future, and replaced and refinished those areas under the original pricing. Using NP1, they resealed all openings through the stucco, all of the windows and doors, various areas where the roofing interfaced with the stucco, etc. We aren?t sure how the repairs will stand up over time, but for now we are happy with the repairs. Owen says the repairs should last longer than the original stucco in the other areas, we?ll see, but for now we have no reason to doubt him. He was right on every call he made and we would use him again any time (though we won?t be buying anything having stucco without have Owen come look at it first). If you are purchasing a home with a stucco exterior, we would highly recommend having Owen come look at the home prior to your purchase. We found out even TREC certified home inspectors (or at least the one we used) don't seem to know much about stucco. We wish it had not cost as much as it did, but we feel we got value for the price we paid, and Owen said if we have any problems, he will be there to correct the problem.

After reading his reviews on this list, I called Owen to repair the stucco around a door that we'd recently added. He was in the area and came by that day to look at the job. Because he was arriving a little before me, I invited him to go around back and take a look at the job. When I arrived, Owen gave me a very reasonable quote for the door repair, then showed me where water was leaking in. There was evidence inside to support his findings, so I know he wasn't stringing me in order to jack up his price. He gave me a number of options for repair, timelines and cost. Owen and his crew did an excellent job and made repairs that went beyond the scope of the contract - without charging extra. The color and texture match on the stucco is amazing. I was also impressed with the care they took of my belongings. They were working on my back patio and I'd just cleaned the area rug and left it in the sun to dry. By the time I'd remembered, they'd already folded it neatly rather than traipsing across it in their work boots. I only wish my family was as considerate!

As I mentioned it went extremely well. Work was done professionally and Owen was easy to work with. I cannot recommend him enough. Best professional I have ever worked with and extremely honest and fair.

Called me back right away. Scheduled appt. for inspection quickly. After we agreed to repairs he was in there with his team fast. He knew his stuff, fixed everything right up and made sure the damage he found wasn't in our framing. We got lucky! He uses text messaging which I love! Sometimes easier to communicate that way. Definitely recommend. We will use him yearly to inspect our stucco and make any repairs. Price is right too!

Owen is very knowledgeable about stucco. He did our repair and did not charge us extra even though the damage was worst than he first thought. He also sealed any cracks and all of the openings on our house so no moisture could penetrate the exterior. He and his crew were always on time, worked hard and acted in a professional manner. I would recommend Owen for any stucco job and will use him again.

Very good experience with Owen. He is timely and conscientious in his approach. He also has a lot of strong stucco expertise and experience. While he is not the cheapest, I thought he was fair value and worth it. We met once prior to the start of the job and discussed the areas we could see that needed to be addressed. We also discussed that there could likely be other areas that needed to be addressed as his crew got into the job. Owen expressed a commitment to address any issues that they found along the way. Owen did a good job on the repairs performed. Quality is good. They also addressed all the known items as well as other items that we identified while they were performing the repairs. Owen arrived on time for all meetings and work days. He communicated well throughout the process and he finished the job on time. Bottomline, would use Owen again.

Due primarily to the drought the past couple years, there has been some subtle shifting in the foundation of my home which ultimately resulted in some cracking in the masonry stucco finish of the exterior walls. I contacted Owen's Custom Stucco Repair based on reviews on Angie's List, and reached Owen right away. I was very pleasantly surprised that he came out that same morning and provided a quotation. I first thought the price of $800 he quoted was a bit high for the scope of work, but before I could even say anything he expressed the same feeling but explained it was the minimum charge they offered to bring out the crew. We agreed to proceed and I was again pleasantly surprised that he committed to coming out first thing the following morning and said the work would be done in just a few hours from the time they started. Owen's crew arrived exactly on time at 8am, and although I was not at the house to greet them, Owen texted me when they arrived and again when they were nearing completion in case I wanted to come by to inspect the work before they left. I had intended to do so, but because the work took just 2 hours - less than even expected - they were finished and gone before I was able to get back to the house. I inspected the work and discovered they had repaired many more areas than I had asked them to, including numerous very small hairline cracks which I hadn't noticed before or felt were too small to worry about. I did, however, notice there was one crack at the 2nd floor level which had been missed by his crew. I called Owen to let him know, and since they were already off on the next job, I anticipated he would tell me they would come back another day to take care of it. Instead, he and his crew came back within the hour and fixed that remaining crack. I was very impressed not only with the quality of the work, but the promptness of the service and obvious commitment to making sure the work was done completely and correctly. I had a lengthy discussion with Owen, and he is very knowledgeable and has an impressive long-term background in all types of stucco repair. I am very pleased with the service provided, and highly recommend.

The experience was great. Owen is the most service-oriented contractor I ever worked with! A diligent communicator who shows up and gets the job done in a timely manner. He does what he says he's going to do and is willing to go above and beyond to have satisfied customers. Mr. Lassiter came out quickly to look at the house and give us an estimate. It was abundantly clear within minutes that this was a man who fully understood stucco and had worked with it for a long time. We scheduled the time for him to begin work. He showed up exactly on time. He did the job he said he would do in the time that he said he would do it. The job was professional in all respects. My wife and I could not be happier with his work. When we found a spot a few days later that had not been color matched, I called Owen and he was out there the next day and took care of it. If you have a Stucco house, this is the man to use. I would never even consider using anyone else. My prayer is that he never leaves town or stops doing this work. That would be a real tragedy for all owners of stucco homes in the Houston area.

I called to request a same day consultation. I had very little time for I was buying a new home and needed to negoiate with my seller quickly. He came out the same day, assessed the damage and spoke to the exsisting home owner. He also made the repairs prior to my closing date.

Owen arrived at the property on time, we walked the house, he noted what needed to be done, estimated a time and completed the job promptly.

Owen does very good work. He had to apply an old world finish to match the house that's very uncommon. Cleanup afterwards was good. No residue on my flagstone floor.

Overally, this was by far one of my best experiences with any type of home repair specialist! There was no sales pitch or undermining motives. He truly does fantastic work and doesn't try to gouge you on the price. I would highly recommend Owen to anyone in need of an excellent stucco specialist!

Owen is the most responsive service contractor I have ever worked with. He called me back promptly and showed up on the job exactly when he said he would. Owen came out looked over the house on a Friday and gave me a quote and then came back to do the work on the following Monday. He takes a very practical and experienced approached to stucco repairs. I would definitely call him back for any additional repairs and work. I was appreciative of his traveling nearly 120+ miles to my house. I was very pleased with the entire experience. Good job!

I called Owen to look at baseball and grapefruit size holes in my stucco caused by woopeckers. Owen came out to the house when promised and surveyed the damage. He looked at the rest of the house while there and found other damage I had been ingoring. He provided an estimate and was able to start the work on the next day. He came out when promised and performed all the repiars. It took two trips due to curing time of the stucco. My wife paid Owen when the job was completed. I was traveling and when I returned, I found a few areas that was unnoticed previously by both Owen and myself that needed repair. Owen came back and reaired those areas as well even though he had already been paid. Owen knows stucco and is very professionable and dependable.
