Advanced Appliance Repair

I have a gas dryer which was not heating up, so I gave Chis a call on a Friday and he gave me the schedule for my area. He indicated I would receive a call on Sunday afternoon where he would provide me with a two hour time frame for Monday. He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable. This was my first time using the service and was very impressed. I was given a 90 day warranty on the work which was really appreciated.

Chris called me the day before the scheduled repair to give me a two hour window for his arrival. He arrived as expected and quickly made the repair. We are so happy to have the washing machine working again. I really appreciated Chris' responsiveness and professionalism.

Called and spoke to Chris after regular business hours. Originally planned on scheduling a service call, but after telling him the last things that were done, he told me one thing to check. This fixed my problem. Chris graciously helped me over the phone when he easily could have charged a service call.

Chris was very nice, and he arrived early. He took care of the problem very quickly and charged a reasonable price. I will definately call him next time I need appliance repair.

I contacted Advanced Appliance Repair on 2/4/15 and spoke with Chris regarding my problems with my washer and dryer. He advised that he would contact me later in the day with a time for 2/5/15. As stated, Chris contacted me later that day and advised me with a time. Chris was punctual, professional and courteous. He conducted maintenance checks on my washer and dryer and advised me of possible options/and or recommendations regarding my washer and dryer. I opted not to repair my washer since he advised the repair on the washer would cost more than purchasing a new washer. My dryer was serviced and he also made recommendations on how to maintain the dryer vent. Highly recommend. Excellent service.

Chris was absolutely great to work with! When I first called he asked me try resetting the breaker as that might fix it. It didn't so I called back and was able to get an appointment the next day. Chris was very prompt - right on time. I would recommend him to my friends!

I was having a problem with my electronic ignition. Chris was very nice, professional and provided the cost to repair. He replaced the switches and problem fixed. I would use him again.

Dryer stopped working on Thanksgiving. Called Chris Friday morning and he showed up before 10am and fixed the problem. very friendly and explained everything.

11/5/2014 Chris arrived on time opened the cooktop, diagnosed the problem explaining that two controls were not working. Chris worked up an estimate to which I agreed. Later that day Chris called to let me know he could make the repairs on 11/72014 and that he would call Thursday the 6th to set the Friday appointment. Today, Thursday 11/6 Chris called saying he can be at my home at 7 AM Friday the 7th, I agreed. Friday 11/7/2014, Chris arrived at the time agreed with parts in hand. After installing the new element and down draft fan controls he found a bad connection to one of the controls which he fixed. I now have fully operational cooktop. Will I use Chris and Advanced Appliance Repair again? You bet. Will I recommend Chris and Advanced Appliance Repair again? Absolutely and without reservation !! Thank you Chris.

First, he(Chris) did not like that i did not want a 700am appointment . He evaluated the problem within a couple of minutes(this is good) and then quoted $378.46 for a front seal on a washer. I paid only 800.00 for the washer.. He said the part had to come from New York and was $296.00 and was a difficult part to find. The balance of $82.46 was his labor charge. He requested a deposit of $150.00 . Once he left, the whole thing sounded off, so I called Sears and the part is $72.00. Shipped $78.00. It had 2 clamps and the rubber seal. virtually no labor. I am 57 and a woman, so I guess he decided I was an easy mark. I called him and he did not admit to anything, just told me I had been trouble from the beginning.(remember, the request to come at 700am) and he would just cash the check and mail me some money back from the deposit. I told him I would stop payment on the check and send him his fee for coming out , $55.00. I could have not done the last part, but I won't stoop to his level. Do your homework people....this guy is not to be trusted

We returned from vacation to find the ice maker had stopped working in our 10 year old fridge freezer. Searched Angies list for someone in our area and found Advanced Appliance Repair just a few miles away. Called on a Thursday afternoon, and they advised they could come the following Monday, and would call on the Sunday to confirm the exact time. Due to a confusion in our phone number, we never got a call, but Chris arrived at exactly 7.00 am on the Monday. The ice maker had had an electrical short, preventing it from filling with water.Chris showed me the damaged part, replaced it, and was on his way within 20 minutes of arriving.

It went fantastically! I would recommend for sure.

I called for help with a washing machine problem (not an emergency), he put me on the schedule, called to give me a heads up, and came on time and fixed the problem. I am very happy with his service and his appliance knowledge.

Highly recommend! Called Chris this morning to fix a broken dishwasher and he was here by 10:30 am! Problem fixed. Now that's what I call service!

It went excellent. I would definitely use them again in the future. The only reason the price was $150 was because they had to order a special part to fix the ice maker.

He was great. I called late in the day and he set up a time for the next day. He was here on time and repaired my washer quickly. Will definitely call again if needed.

This was a VERY small repair, but having had two "handymen" come by who were previously recommended by our management company and leave it unfinished left me at my wit's end. Everyone told me that hooking up the water line was super easy, but it didn't work no matter what I tried, and I kept getting conflicting advice on how to do it. The tech was understanding about my frustration, and he came by at a time that worked for me (7 am!) It turned out that the last handyman had used the wrong part, and there were some issues that made hooking it up as a amateur impossible. He was quick and explained the whole problem and process. It was well worth the money to have him come by, and I appreciated that he didn't treat me like someone who was clueless. I would recommend Advanced Appliance Repair and will definitely use them again.

Chris called me on Sunday to get information about my washer and give me a 2 hour time window for Monday (6-30-14) between 9- 11am. On Monday he arrived about 9:15 am. He was very pleasant, courteous and professional. When I showed him my wash machine he immediately diagnosed the problem when he placed his hand under the top of the machine. He gave me two options price wise with regards to the repair. My machine was purchased back in October 1998 and he told me that it was a great product with a 25 - 30 yr life span. To just repair it as needed. It was a simple fix and within 10 minutes he was done. I felt he was honest and forthcoming. I would highly recommend Chris and his company. In the future if I need any appliance repairs I will be calling Advanced Appliance Repair. Christine G.

Chris was very prompt. He came the next day at a time that worked for us. He fixed the washer problem and advised us to get a new dryer instead of doing the expensive repair on the one we had. We will definitely call him again.

My Whirlpool gas dryer quit heating. I contacted Chris at 8:00 am and described the symptoms. Chris indicated that is sounded like the ignitor may be malfunctioning and indicated that since he was on his way to my general area he could come by in 30 - 45 minutes, if it was convenient for me, which was perfect. Chris showed up in 30 minutes, diagnosed the problem and gave me a final quote that matched his initial estimate. I approved so he immediately proceeded to make the repair. He also cleaned the dryer and dryer vent and was done in less than an hour. Super friendly and professional. I hope to never need the service again, but if I do, Chris will be my first call.

Chris called when he said he would and showed up exactly as he promised. I was his first call of the day and he was professional and very nice. I am very particular about who comes into my home and I was comfortable with him in my home. Thank you Chris!!!

The company was very wonderful. Instead of sending out a truck for unnecessary service, they suggested I contacted my moving company. I really appreciated their honesty. They saved me a lot of money and would use their services again in a heartbeat.

They honored our Angie's list coupon and were available to come to repair it the day after we called. Very professional. We will use them again.

Advanced is the second highly rated appliance repair business from Angie's List who didn't respond to my request for service. Emailed from their website three days ago, on May 3, 2014. Not a peep in reply.

I called at 7am for an appointment. Initially they were unable to see me for a few days. Then Chris called back and set up an appointment for the same day. He came in the time frame quoted and got the work done in less than an hour. My defrost thermostat needed to be replaced. Very nice guy, glad they were able to come out.
