Advanced Appliance Repair

Wow! I am not sure where to begin. My clothes dryer has been acting funny and I remembered that it was previously repair by Advanced Appliance Repair years ago. I still had their business refrigerator magnet so I called them on a late Sunday afternoon. I wasn't expecting an answer, but they did. I explained my issue and was trying to talk "shop" with the gentleman by explaining my amateur observations and what I have been seeing with the dryer, but apparently he was growing frustrated with my questions. I could tell from the sound of his voice that he was having a bad day which made me wonder why he even bothered to answer the phone. After a mere THREE minutes into the conversation, the receptionist told me in a very rude manner to "stop wasting his time and go find someone else." I was rather applauded by this kind of behavior which is contradictory to the business' slogan stating "Fast, Friendly, Same Day Service." I can't say he was intoxicated, but his speech was slurred and dragged out. I suppose this "family-owned" company is doing well and its employees feel it is okay to be inconsiderate brutes to push away business from prior clients. For obvious reasons, I will certainly find someone else to repair my dryer and I pray this gentleman resolves whatever is personally bothering him, if not for his own sake, at least for the reputation of the company that he represents.

Thankfully the broken part made a loud noise while he was here so it was easy for him to identify the problem. He ordered the part and came back the next day to replace it. All is good.

The technician was able to diagnose the problem right away and quote a price, which was very reasonable. I was delighted with the service and the mannerly tech. I would definitely hire him again.

My fridge went out on a Saturday. I started calling around to find emergency service but had no luck. I tried Angie's List and Advanced Appliance was the first one I tried. Chris (I think) answered and told me that he didn't do weekend repairs but he walked us through some troubleshooting and was even able to help us get the fridge to work temporarily! We made it through the weekend and got a technician out to repair it on Wednesday. He was super nice and it was awesome that he took that time to help us out!! I wish he serviced our area! Thank you!

Chris diagnosed the problem quickly and discussed the options with me. The decision was made to have the control board shipped off and rebuilt due to the fact my 14 year old double oven company no longer makes the control boards. He told me 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to have it back. It was rebuilt and back to work in exactly 2 weeks. Working great! Happy to have my oven back. I highly recommend Advanced Appliance Repair.

Very professional. Very nice. Diagnosed the issue quickly and performed service in under an hour.

We have a 15+ yo Maytag Neptune dryer that occasionally goes out. Chris was quick in getting an appointment set up and promptly arrived at the time scheduled. After testing several switches and fuses, he was able to pin point the faulty component. Dryer is up and busy as ever! Thank you Chris!

Made an appointment for Sunday the 6th and they never showed up or called.

He was prompt, curtious, and reasonable.

Could not be happier with the work. Chris responded promptly to give me a time window in which to look for him. He showed up on time and was courteous, efficient, and professional. The ice maker had been quite old and had worn out. We have a new one which is working very well.

Chris quickly diagnosed the problem to be a problem with the electrical outlet and that the dryer was fine.

When I described the problem, he asked me to send him a photo of the model number as the thermostat might require replacement. He arrived on time and brought a thermostat with him so that he could replace it if that was the problem. After determining that a new thermostat was needed, he replaced it and the refrigerator and freezer are working again! Whenever we have a large appliance issue, we call Chris. He is knowledgeable, honest and professional.

They came out as scheduled, completed the repair, and honored the Angie's List Coupon. The repair was made the same day, and a recommendation was provided in order to have the dryer duct cleaned. I contacted the company to have the cryer duct cleaned, and it was completed the next day. All pricing was fair and reasonable. The dryer now works great, and dries items like it did when new.

When the correct belt was not available he found a substitute. I appreciated him thinking thru the options and getting my washer back up and running

It went very well. Chris who is the owner inspected everything before he proceeded. He had to replace non stainless steel screws to open up the ice maker which was a challenge, but he manage to get it done in a short period of time and thereafter replaced the water lever.

He came out and determined that a shove forward on the lid fixed the problem. While testing he discovered that the top agitator was not working well. He did not have the correct part to fix it then. He returned in a few days with the part. He did not charge a second service call charge. He just charged me for the parts. I will certainly call him again.

He came about 2 hours after I called. He told me the motor was shot and the computer parts. He suggested we get another dishwasher because of the costs of repairs. I was happy with his diagnosis. He suggested buying a new dishwasher that has a knob to turn it on, instead of the computer parts. The more simple the appliance the longer life it has. Amen to that! I will call him again for any large appliance repair in my home.

It went terrible. The burner replacement part was ordered on a Friday. The part came in and the replacement was scheduled for Monday. The technician, which was the owner scheduled the replacement on Monday. Several of the screws to the unit was difficult to remove. He drilled, he used a screw extractor, and forced the screws out of the unit. This resulted in the glass top being broken. He then came up with the excuse that the unit was old and it was not his responsibility that the top broke. A replacement top was around $800.00 dollars. I told him that I thought he should turn it in on his insurance. He refused. Furthermore, he continued to take no blame for HIS mistake. During our discussion, he became very upset and got very rude. He gave me my $150.00-dollar deposit back. On the way, out he grabbed my copy of the invoice and shot out the door with it. I followed and told him I wanted my copy back. After another heated discussion, he agreed. Once again, he was very rude. Clearly, he wanted no record that he had ever been to my house. I signed the paper work and received my copy. I then told him that I was going to sue in small claims court. He laughed as he got into the truck he said," take a look at what you signed." All I signed was that I wanted my $150.00 back. I will hold him accountable for the damage to my stove top. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. In the future, I will only deal with large corporations to do work in my house. No more Mom and Pop operations. I learned my lesson the hard way. Consumers needing small appliance work should be wary of this company.

Horrible. I did mention Angie's List and did not get 10% off. I also asked about senior discount and he said " I wish you had told me that before I did the ticket". I paid right at $ 600.00 to have an ice maker replaced and it still does not work. He stated that air got in the line and caused the line to freeze and that I would have to take all the food out of my refrigerator and unplug it for 24 hours, leave the doors open so the line could defrost. Really???? This is not right. I used this man because of Angie's List and now I feel I have been taken advantage of. I'm almost 70 years old and I feel I have been wronged very much. I know this probably won't go anywhere, but I will NEVER use anyone on Angie's List again.

He did an awesome job. It was the same guy. I always as for the same guy. It was an older gentleman and he was real good.

Great. Work was done quickly and properly.

They actually used various independent contractors. We had a very good experience with them, they did just fine. It was very good quality of work. It was well done and plus instructions on how to prevent it ourselves, that was a plus. They did a good job. I remember it was a reasonably price. I don’t remember how much it was, but it wasn’t outrageous in any way, shape or form. The worker was a senior citizen who was an outstanding individual.

Came in and assessed the problem on my refrigerator, had to order parts. Scheduled another appt when parts came in and it was easy and convenient!
