Advanced Appliance Repair

I'm told that their price was a little expensive for what we paid. It was simple repair, just replacing a part.

Called late Tuesday afternoon and they were out on Wednesday morning. Needed a new ice maker which he was able to get at a warehouse and actually came back the same day and replaced. Water line was just frozen so was told to defrost fridge for a little bit which did the trick.

The entire experience was excellent. I called Chris Flores at Advanced Appliance Repair. He called back very quickly. He was already on his way to our community for another appointment, so he was able to come by within about 1 hr. He inspected the dishwasher and then ran it through a cycle until it began leaking. He removed and reinstalled the door gasket, looped the drain hose so that the sink won't drain back into the dishwasher, and then re-checked for leakage. He also recommended using a different type of dishwasher detergent. Chris was very thorough and was very patient to make sure the dishwasher ran long enough that he saw the leak.

He cleaned behind it and reset it. Waited to make sure it was working. Looked up the part that I might need do the road and gave me a quote. He was very knowledgeable and honest about the fridge I have. I would hire him again. He billed me for the service call only.

Chris checked out everything, determined it was the compressor making the noise. Advised us to just wait...the frig might go out at any time, or continue to run for months or years! Advised us on the brand to purchase next time. Chris called ahead to give us a 2 hour window on the day he had scheduled us. Showed up at the beginning of that window. He was friendly and polite and knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly.

Problem repaired and resolved in less than 30 minutes after arrival.

He was honest about the fact the cost to repair would approximately 2/3 the cost to replace. The only charge was the service call which was a reasonable amount.

My refrigerator rather all of a sudden stopped adequately keeping the contents of the refrigerator cool enough. Problem! Chris came out promptly. He was very knowledgeable and professional and was able to quickly diagnosis and fix the cause of problem. He carries quite a lot of inventory on his truck, so there was no need to order a part, which I appreciated enormously! My refrigerator is actually working much better and more efficiently than it has in quite some time. I am 100% satisfied and will call Chris again if I have any other problems with my appliances.

His knowledge base and depth to evaluate the problems quickly and articulate clear solutions gave us immediate confidence that we called the right service provider. No trip charge, no charge for unjamming disposal and restored ice maker with on-hand parts. Called for service yesterday a.m., he followed up in the afternoon with next morning window to arrive and he was prompt as promised. Advanced Appliance will now be our first choice, "go-to" repair service for all our large and small appliances. Thank you Chris for service that's reliable with integrity!

The owner, Chris, came out within the hour of my call for service. He was very knowledgeable and honest. Unfortunately, he confirmed my fears of an expensive repair. He explained to me the problem in detail and told me the repair cost would not be practical and a new freezer would be my best option. He further explained the best type of freezers, and what to look for while shopping. In addition, he cheerfully answered my questions regarding other appliances in my kitchen and laundry room! My only fee was the service call. I will gladly recommend him and use him in the future if needed.

I was so happy with his responsiveness, if you can't get a hold of him that day, he'll come in the next day. I think he's 5 minutes early. He just told me to check and tell him what's wrong and charge the service call on me. He just told me to order the parts from the other one. It was free for 6 weeks to get the parts in.

Superb. Called Chris for the cook-top problem on Thursday afternoon. He was able to come out Friday morning. When he arrived it was right in the time window he gave (by the way he gave 2 hour window rather than other companies 4 hour window). Showed me exactly what the problem is and then gave me the detailed explanation on the cost to repair, which was very reasonable. He had to order the parts due to the specialty of the cook-top. Told me he would call Sunday afternoon to give me an update when he could come to replace it depending on whether he got the parts in. He did call Sunday and told me first thing Monday morning he would be coming to finish it. Everything went well when he came out to put in the new modules in. Thank you for the great work. We'll definitely recommend Chris.

Chris was great! When I called he was able to come out within a few hours, quickly diagnosed the problem and had parts on order the same day. Unfortunately the people at Whirlpool don't have the same standards of customer service as Chris does, he was sent incorrect parts twice, and after getting the run around from them several times, offered me a refund (even though he had been out on three occasions) as there were no other practical options. He's a man of his word -- when he told me he'd call at a certain day or time he did precisely that, if there was a delay he kept me informed. When the parts arrived I was quickly scheduled, and he called me prior to coming out to confirm. That kind of simple follow through is rare these days. We frequently use contractors for our home and business, and I can honestly say Chris is cut from a different cloth. Thanks for trying to solve our issue Chris and thanks for the impeccable service. We'll definitely recommend you!

This is our 2nd time using Chris/Advanced Applicate Repair due to the pleasant experience previously (different appliance). Just as before, Chris was able to schedule us within 24 hours. As promised, he called the evening prior to arrival and gave us a time frame of when he would arrive (8-9:00 am). He arrived promptly at 8:00 am and quickly diagnosed the problem based on the code displayed on the control panel. He then gave us a reasonable quote for parts & labor -- and we were pleased to learn that he had the part on his truck. Based on the "error code" that was given on the control panel, we had done some research the day before as to what the problem could be. Chris repaired the freezer exactly as we had viewed on a YouTube tutorial, which was reassuring to us. Chris had us back up and running in less than hour. Who could ask for more than that? An honest contractor &/or repairman is hard to find these days ... Glad to know there are a few good guys still out there!

Chris was able to visit us withing a few hours of our call. He checked over the fridge operation, and advised that it was functioning correctly. After a few questions and answers, he identified that it was probably because the door had been partially left open 2 - 3 days ago, and the system was trying to recover from that situation. This was one of those situations where he could have told me that the fridge needed major repairs. But being the honest person he is, he just told us that the fridge would recover within a day or so.

Perfectly. I used this company once through Angies List. This gentleman is very reasonable regarding his prices. He is very efficient and explained everything. He is very prompt with his service. I called at %5 P.M. and he arrived at the next morning at 9:00 A.M

Chris was able to give me step-by-step instructions to repair my washer. He could have charged me to come out and perform what ended up to be a five minute fix but instead took the time to walk me through it. I will be using this service from here on out due to his level of customer service

Chris can get a little cranky if you ask for a specific afternoon or morning but as he said, he's a one man shop which makes it difficult for him to nail down specific dates and time windows.. He shows up when he says he will and does top notch work so there's no doubt he'll be my first call should something else happen in the future.

EXCELLENT!!! Chris was very matter-of-fact, quick and efficient. I contacted him on a Monday morning and he was 30 minutes earlier than expected for a two-hour window on Tuesday morning. Diagnosed the problem and looked at other parts of the washer to determine the correct issue as well as assess the current overall state of the machine. He located the replacement part in Houston on Tuesday and confirmed a time window on Wednesday to fix the machine. Again, he gave a two-hour window and arrived about one minute prior to this time ---- can't explain how much I appreciate this!!! He had the part swapped and the machine back together and operating correctly within 15 minutes. He knows his stuff and is more than reliable. Will definitely call him if needed for other appliance repairs!!

It can be a major hassle when the washing machine breaks down in the middle of the weekly laundry. The provider responded promptly to my phone call, saying he could be out here in a day or so. He called later and gave us a 2-hour window in which to expect him. To my surprise, he showed up at the earliest possible time! The machine needed a part replaced, which he had in his truck. The whole job was completed in less than half an hour! Very happy with the service!

My initial call was returned promptly. I was already aware that I needed to replace the entire garbage disposal. I was given a price for the job over the phone. Chris showed up on time, with all the parts, honored the quoted price and completed quickly and efficiently. I will absolutely be calling them again in future for other projects.

We love this machine and wanted to keep it. Replacement refrigerator cost nearly 20K. We were quoted twice as much as what Chris charged. Chris did a great job, was very cost effective, timely and professional.

Chris quicly told me that the repair would be too expensive, and I would be better off buying a new machine. I really appreciate that Chris passed up the opportunity to make money on a service call, and just gave me the bad news on needing a new machine. When I have another appliance problem, I will definitely call Advanced Appliance Repair.
