Description of Work: I had a patio poured with new support columns for the roof put in because the current columns were not the correct size- a fact pointed out by the owner Mr. Marlar when he came to bid on the job. The work was well done in the timeline promised and at the agreed upon price. Mr. Marlar and his work crew were very nice and professsional

Description of Work: I contacted the owner about pouring a slab for a new hot tub. He said that he could do it in two weeks which would have been the week of Aug 10, 2015. He was supposed to come out to look at the area to give us a final price Friday July 31. I missed his call at around 8 am but returned his call later that morning. He said that he could make it out the next friday 8/7/15 and would pour the slab the following week in line with what he told us the week before. I called him Monday the 10th to see if he made it out on Friday and he said that did not make it out. I then ask if he was still going to pour the slab that week and he said that he had gotten a large job at Lackland AFB and would not be able to do our slab. This put us in a very difficult place because we ordered the hot tub based on his being able to pour the slab. I knew that we would not be able to find another contractor that fast. Luckily a friend that is a contractor was able to put off some work and come out that week and pour the slab or we could have been paying storage fees for the hot tub until it could be delivered. He said that he knew he was putting us in a bind but did not seem to care. This was the most unprofessional contact I have every had. He should have told us that this other job might come in and never agreed to pour our slab if there any possibility that he couldn't do it. He knew that we ordered the hot tub based on the information he gave us.

Description of Work: T-C Construction constructed a slab for an addition we are building aprox. 42'x14'. Tim and his crew worked very hard and did not cut any corners. They formed and poured slab exactly as specified by print and slab overall game out great.

Description of Work: Tim came to my house and discussed my project in detail. He was knowledgeable and seemed to be interested in the project. Said he would send me a bid, but I never heard from him again. I sent him an email in April but got no response.

Description of Work: Tim and his crew did an amazing job. They did the 3 sets of entrance stairs for us as well as a correction to our pump house slab (which was poorly done by our well guy). Also at the last minute we asked him to do two other slabs for both of the A/C units and threw in the concrete to support a sign we had on the property. Tim was timely (to begin work in the morning in addition to his completion of the work). The cost for the work was fair and he doesn't cut corners or cost by hiring low cost labor or sending one guy to the job site. Four guys showed up everyday and the worked and knocked it all out in 3 days. I would absolutely use him again and already have plans to do so.

+ -1 moreOf the 3 contractors we contacted for bids, T-C Construction was the fastest in coming out and was able to do the work more quickly, which is why we went with him. One couldn't come out quickly enough for us and the other came out but couldn't get us a bid in time, so we don't know what the other bids would have been. Tim's bid was verbal, however, which turned out to be a bad thing. He quoted $1,700 (the job took about 4 yards of concrete and rebar was used inside it). It took 2 days to complete. When he came to do the job, he claimed he'd quoted $1,750 and showed me his notes which had a 5 written over what apparently was a 0 in the tens place. Since we had no written estimate, only the recollection of both my husband and me, we were stuck. We were going to pay $100 more to have the broken patio pieces hauled off, but we elected to have them dumped in a rocky area in the back of our 8 acres instead because of the $50 difference between our recollection of the estimate and the doctored notes he showed us. We called him for a bid on a Friday and he was able to come the next morning. By the end of the next week, we decided to use him since he could start the following Wednesday at the latest. It turned out he could start the following Tuesday, which was even better. He arrived about an hour early, and pointed out that our entrance gate would probably be damaged by the cement truck he planned to bring in, so we agreed on a much wider gate for him to use. Unfortunately, everyone used the narrower gate Tuesday, and we discovered after they left that someone had damaged one post, leaving the gate off its hinges! I was distressed that no one mentioned that accident to us, so I called and left word on his phone that we had discovered what happened. The next day he and his crew were over an hour later than they said they would be here, and he claimed he'd noticed the damaged gate when he left the previous day but didn't know what happened. He agreed to fix it, however, which he did using some concrete that was left over after the slab was poured. The actual work on the patio was good. It is now level and looks nice. I doubt we'll use him again, but if we do, we will certainly get his estimate in writing!
Description of Work: A part of a concrete patio was dug up and replaced, with more room left around 2 trees that were in the original patio and whose roots had elevated that section above other sections, breaking the concrete in the process.

+ 1 moreI didn't know exactly what I wanted when contractor first visited. He assisted me in design of patio, walk-in closets and retaining wall. His ideas and assistance was greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: Added large concrete patio to back of house, including heavily reinforced area to place large and heavy swim spa upon. Removed two windows and brick from house and replaced with doors leading to patio. Removed another two house windows and brick and built two 8ft by 8ft walk-in closets with doors into master bedroom where the windows had been. Removed several large tree stumps and large amount of dirt behind house to level for patio and closets and built an approximately 70 foot decorative block retaining wall.

+ 0 moreThe company and the workers were professionals and did an excellent job even in the heat of the summer. The job was extra difficult because of the amount of concrete to be removed. They were hard workers and performed their best for such a hard job. They finished when they said they would and cleaned up the area before they left. They gave me clear directions as to when I could walk on the driveway and when I would be able to drive on it. They blocked off the driveway to keep off everyone. I am most pleased with my lovely driveway and am enjoying driving my car into the garage .
Description of Work: There was the original concrete and then another 4 inches of concrete poured on top of the original. All of this mass of concrete driveway had to be removed. The driveway was sinking. TC construction had to get through two layers of driveway and haul away all broken up concrete. They used a base material to make a smooth even area for the new driveway. They laid rebar in one foot distance of each other. Then tied the rebar with wire to make one ft. squares. As they poured the concrete the workers kept pulling up the rebar so that it would be positioned into the concrete for an excellent support for the driveway.
