The project went great. Reliant provided a detailed cost estimate and clearly showed how our decision on materials (i.e. grade of granite, tiles, sink, faucet, etc.) affected the overall cost. Their sub-contractors did a wonderful job. The painter, tiler, and granite company were courteous, professional, and skillful. Also, Reliant (Dustin S.) worked around our schedule. I would hire this company again.
Description of Work: We hired Reliant Renovations to upgrade our kitchen. They painted the cabinets, added hardware to the drawers, replaced a worn countertop with a granite one, and installed a new sink, faucet and tile backsplash.

Dustin called to inquire about a message I left via his webpage. He was very professional and listened to all my wants and wishes for our Master Bath. He scheduled an appointment to see the bathroom and measure to give us an estimate. He was on time, professional and respectful of our home. He even put on booties over his shoes before entering. He measured and talked to us and then provided a very detailed estimate to us the following week. We were also getting estimates from other companies and it came down to Reliant and another Company. We did choose the other company for this project but not because we were unhappy or uncomfortable with Dustin and Reliant Renovation. We informed him that we will be considering him for other future projects in our home.

The plumbing service was really good. The workmanship was good but the problem that we had was the main contractor had communication issues with his subcontractor. It was my first experience and I expected it to be more. If I used them again in the future I would have some stipulations with them. I would certainly be a bit more demanding of them.
Description of Work: I used Reliant Renovations because we had a plumbing leak in one of our bathroom showers. We had them come in and rather than just fix it we had them upgrade it a little bit. We had them do tiling as well on the wall and floor.

The estimate was exceptionally high compared to other estimates received. The estimate was not returned with 24hrs as advertisement indicated. Vendor did indicate he would be willing to be competitive with two other estimates. Vendor was pleasant and polite during estimate walk through. Based on the estimate provided -- we were not able to secure a loan for the estimate provided.
Description of Work: Gave an estimate on a home project, but did not offer design ideas as indicated in the service.
We are happy with the final project, however the process was not a pleasant experience. We never knew when the work crew would be on site. Some days they just didn't show up and other days they said they would be on site at a certain time and they would show up 3-4 hours later. One of the 2x4 shower floor tiles was not level so we requested that it be replaced. When they replaced the tile the tile was still not level and they used the incorrect color of grout. Therefore we requested it to be replaced again. This time the tile was level however the grout color still didn't match the other grout. We noticed the linear/trench drain was not draining properly. When examining the drain closer we noticed they grouted around the drain cover/grate therefore we were unable to remove the drain cover to get to the drain to remove debris that was preventing it from draining. The grout was removed to enable the drain cover to be free floating and access to the drain. During this process multiple tiles were damaged and the grout color was incorrect. Reliant did make an effort to correct the grout color, but it became apparent that they would be unable to do so. We were offered explanations about variations in color from different grout batches and other reasons why it is difficult to match up grout color. Reliant assured us that they wanted to ensure we were completely satisfied, however, In the end, frustrated by how long the project was taking to complete and having to change plans to be at home in order for Reliant to work on the project, we settled for the differences in grout color. The project was projected to be completed on 12/22/15 and was not complete until 1/24/16. Despite that, we are happy overall with the look of our remodeled bathroom. But, due to our frustrations of working with Reliant, we would not recommend this company to others looking for a company to remodel a bathroom.
Description of Work: Reliant renovations remodeled our master bath. They removed the shower, garden tub, vanity top/sinks, mirror and tile floor. Built a curb to convert the old shower and garden tub area into a large shower, moved the shower valve to the opposite side of the shower wall, installed a linear/trench drain, built a niche, installed porcelain tile in the shower and bath room floor, replaced the old shower and sink fixtures with new fixtures, installed 2 vanity sinks in new granite top, framed mirror and painted the entire bathroom.

We really appreciate your business. We feel really bad that your experience was not what you expected. Please know that our #1 goal is to make sure you are completely satisfied with the final product. Sometimes people do not truly understand how the remodeling process works and situations that you have to deal with in the remodeling industry. Shortly after this project was completed, we had to make the decision to replace the crew that was working here with a more punctual crew. I will be completely transparent myself and say that during the time frame of July 2015-March 2016 we were working on completing one of our largest projects ever building a custom 3,000 sqft. home which consumed a lot of my time and I was relying on my crew leader to handle the projects in the field. However, soon after a couple of rough jobs, I realized that things were not being handled properly by my crew leader and he is no longer with our company. I have now devoted my focus 100% on making sure the jobs are running smoothly and we are continually striving to hire on only A team people. Thank you for the feedback and will use this as constructive criticism to improve for future members!

During this time frame we were extremely busy with the influx of jobs we had going at the time and during the holidays. I take full responsibility for this lack of time to lock down a date. I will be completely transparent myself and say that during the time frame of July 2015-March 2016 we were working on completing one of our largest projects ever building a custom 3,000 sqft. home which consumed a lot of my time and my service was not at it's full potential. I have now devoted my focus 100% on making sure that we will respond to all calls and try to schedule people for estimates within a reasonable time frame. However, when we receive a large influx of calls at one time, we can only respond on a 1st come 1st serve basis. We are working on hiring another estimator at this time. This was my experience with Reliant Renovations, as objectively as I can lay it out: I called the company to give me a bid on some kitchen renovations. I left a message and the owner, Dustin Stanush, returned my call the next day, which went to my voice mail. I called him back that same day and got his voice messaging system again. He never returned my call. I left 3-4 voice messages over the subsequent 7-10 days, but never heard back from him. That lack of attention prompted me to leave a bad review on Angie's List. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from him and we set up a time to meet. He showed up at the designated time, apologizing for his lack of response, asking that I retract my negative review because of the impact it would have on his business. Dustin is a pleasant man and, not wishing to unduly harm his small business, I agreed to remove my review. Knowing how busy he was, I asked him to tell me when he could get his estimate for the work to me. He said I would hear from him in 7 days. It has now been 14 days and I haven't seen or heard from him since he left my house. I find his business ethic grossly unprofessional and his company anything but Reliant. If he came in with the lowest bid, I would refuse it for lack of confidence that he would ever complete the work.

Reliant impressed us with their excellent service, responsiveness, reliability, honesty, flexibility and work ethic. We purchased our 1979 1500 sqft home early this summer and wanted a quality comprehensive home renovation that could be completed as soon as possible. Reliant worked with our budget and timeline to make our new home just what we wanted and to move us in quickly. The entire project took 6 weeks and come in within our budget. The team worked very well together and worked extremely hard to complete the job. They were very knowledgeable and skilled and were able to offer us solutions and options at multiple price points. I would recommend Reliant to our friends and family, and I would certainly use them again.

Dustin was on time for his first visit and provided us a detailed quote, which helped us understand the entire cost of the project and where we could save or splurge on the project. Dustin and team began work in the middle of January and completed all work by middle of March just like he promised. We had a lot of work done and everything went smoothly. We made all the design decisions and they implemented them better than we envisioned. The master bath was a big project and they managed to transform it into our dream bathroom. We did run into trouble with a few items during the project but Dustin and Lloyd were accommodating and worked with us as plans had to change and decisions had to be made. Some of the items that caused problems ended up working out better than the original plans. If we found anything that we did not like Dustin and his team were there to get it corrected to meet our expectations. I cannot thank Dustin and his team enough for making our home a showcase and the envy of our neighbors. Thank you Dustin, Lloyd, Chris, Omar, Tony and Rob and all of their assistants! I would recommend them for any remodeling job you may need.

He was very professional and customer friendly. I look forward to working with them.

Lloyd, Dustin and a host of other hard working crew members completely transformed our living room into a thing of awe and beauty. Over a long weekend, the crew hung framing and installed beautiful beams on the ceiling and they look fantastic! The crew (sometimes just Lloyd and his son, sometimes Lloyd, Dustin and his son) worked throughout the entire weekend (per our request so we wouldn't have to take time off from work) and did a marvelous job on our home. The crew, was energetic and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Their work was meticulous. All of the cutting and staining was done outside so the work area remained pretty darn clean considering how much lumber was used to construct the beams. They arrived within my levels of tolerance (15 minutes or so of waiting) and just knocked this project out! The estimate was spot on and they had to relocate a couple of in wall speaker which wasn't part of the estimate but I didn't get charged extra for it either. Overall,we are quite pleased with this project from start to finish and we are left with a splendid new look room. Thanks Guys!

The project began early February and was expected to be completed in about three weeks. The project was completed at the at the end of March. The project initially started out very well. The crew was quick to gut the bathroom and had the initial tiles installed promptly. They tried their best to keep dust out of common areas and laid out tarps over the furniture and along the walkways. I found that after the first week, there would be a day or two a week where no one was out to work on the bathroom. While we did have a scheduled trip planned in the mix of the remodel, I think the bathroom could have been completed prior to this had people been out to the house everyday. After the project was completed, it was noticed that there are cracks in the grout and there is a section of glass tile that is lacking grout. Dustin was contacted and one of his crew did return to the house to evaluate with a plan to return to fix. It has now been about six weeks since we first contacted about the missing and cracking grout. No one has returned to fix it. It has been a week since I last checked on the status and still have no response. I would also be careful about choosing glass tiles for a bathroom remodel. While I see that they might be more difficult to install, many of the ones installed in our bathroom have chips. I was told this is common of glass tiles. While many were replaced, there are still ones with small chips.
Description of Work: The master bathroom was completely remodeled. New floors, new paint, new shower, new tub with tub deck, new mirrors, new toilet, granite countertops, new fixtures.

Lloyd Molina and his son Chris were unbelievable. They were very professional and paid attention to detail. When there was a question or concern they addressed it immediately. They were very knowledgeable about not Only the tile work but every aspect of the job. When we picked out the tile they offered suggestions and gave us the pros and cons about the possible choices. They suggested certain tiles and designs for the backsplash in the kitchen and it looks great. Lloyd and Chris oversaw the entire project, plumbing, electrical and of course all the tile work.

Dustin was able to schedule a meeting to look at the job within 48 hours. He arrived on time, very professional, even had on booties over his shoes so as not to damage my floors. He spent a good half hour going through the rather simple project so that he understood what was desired. He promised his estimate in 3-4 days. I received it within 48 hours. The bid was fair. The estimate was VERY detailed, easy to understand, and clearly outlined labor, materials, overhead and profit. As a prior contracting officer for DoD, I LOVE that. He was also responsive when I asked for additional information by email. He got back with me within 72 hours. I did not hire him because I found someone in town who would also do quality work at a lower price. However, I would certainly consider him for future projects.

Stanush Contracting recently completed a bathroom remodel in our home. We had not used this contractor previously, we found him on Angie's List. We were very impressed from the initial estimate through to the final walk through. We had flexibility in our choice of fixtures and brands and ultimately that allowed us to come in "under budget. " The construction manager, Chris, was conscientious, professional, and diligent in keeping us informed on the daily progress and the upcoming day's agenda. The sub ontractor's were also diligent in their work and in their care for our house. They all wanted to do the best job possible in a timely manner. I would definitely work with Dustin and his contractors again.

It was a pleasure working with [member name removed]. We couldn't ask for better clients because they were so friendly and easy to work with. If there ever is a problem with anything, please don't hesitate to call and we will take care of it right of way. We look forward to working with you on future projects!
Dustin is really very nice and professional. I was pleased with him for the most part as a contractor, but I was just slightly disappointed in his hired help. The plumber did not get the faucet parts correctly centered on the vanity top. The hot water faucet handle is about one half inch off from the faucet itself and the cold water handle. The man who did the tile work brought his 12 year old son to help him remove the old tile from the shower on demo day and I had to ask the child not to drag the bags of old tile across my real oak flooring in the hallway and entryway on the way outside. Also, even though the tile work and grouting came out nice for the most part, and I will admit I am a perfectionist, some of the tiles were not level and not centered like I would have done them had I done the work. The shower is very small and narrow, and it is obvious that they are not centered on the front of the shower wall outside. I also had to have him redo several trim tiles because the first way they were done looked totally unfinished on the edges and unacceptable. Everybody showed up on time and when scheduled and the price was fair.
Description of Work: Tore out old tile in an old upright standing shower and replaced with new tile and grout. Placed new vanity top and faucets in sink and shower on existing cabinetry.

We appreciate your business very much. The work was performed in March of 2013 which was well over 1 year ago from the stated date in the review of March 10, 2014. We believe that if the customer is not satisfied with something, we need to be made aware of the problem so that we can fix it immediately. I was never made aware of these issues that occurred, which does not allow me the opportunity to correct the items. Over the past year, we have grown as a company and only seek out honest and professional skilled laborers. Our philosophy is that if the customer is not happy, we will not leave until we make it right. If we leave the job and the customer tells us that they love the work and are happy, we believe them. We ask that all our customers be open and honest with us about how you feel about our quality, progress, and cleanliness or any other concerns. We want to make sure everyone is happy throughout the entire remodeling process. Having open and honest communication between our customers and Stanush Contracting is the key to a happy and successful remodeling process.

They did a good job. They did the tiling, put in a new tub, faucets and painted. We had problems with the plumber. Their plumber had to come back 3 times to get it right and he didn't have all of the supplies he needed. There was a small leak too, so the plumber had to come back quickly when we called. After they were done we saw a crack in the tile in the bathroom. Dustin was professional, friendly and polite.

Throughout the entire remodeling process, my project foreman and I continually asked the Marsh’s if they were happy and satisfied with everything to which their reply was always “yes”. We always strive to have open and honest communication through the entire remodeling process with our customers to make sure there are no questions or concerns. The (member name removed) asked a lot of questions and we had answers and solutions to all of them. We encourage our customers to ask questions so they are completely aware and educated on what is going on. Never was there a time throughout the remodeling process that any concerns were not resolved. We cleaned up the site every day and always had down floor protection. Several times throughout the process, the Marsh’s were trying to ask my crew to do work for them on the side and cut me out. My crew and I all have respect and loyalty for one another, so of course my crew declined. My crew let me know about it right. I wasn’t to happy with the fact that the customer was trying to cut out my company and try to get my crew to do work for them on the side. When we completed the job, they said they were happy with everything and we finalized the project. A few weeks later, we received their review on Angie’s List. We were not notified of any of the issues mentioned in the review therefore we never had a chance to correct them. After we read the review, my project foreman and I immediately contacted the (member name removed) and offered to do anything it takes to correct the issue and make sure they were 100% satisfied. They continually denied our offer to correct the issues. We insisted that we fix the items and would be there right away. They again denied our offer and (member name removed) stated she would get back to us in a week. A week would have been the 1st week in Sept. and we still have not heard from them. I cannot stress enough the importance of open and honest communication throughout the remodeling process. Please express any questions or concerns you have and we will create a solution for you. We build our business and reputation on our Angie’s List Reviews and we will never intentionally do something to hinder that reputation. It is our #1 priority to make sure that our customers are 100% satisfied before we leave a job. If the customer does not communicate open and honestly with us, we will not know their true feelings and will not be able to offer a solution.
Stanush Contracting provided a very detailed cost estimate and there were no surprises as far as unforeseen problems or cost overruns. Subcontractors and project manager were hard working, professional and concerned with doing top quality work. They made sure everything was to our satisfaction. There was miscommunication on some days about when workers would be at the house. Sometimes they did not arrive at all, and sometimes they came on days when we had not planned on anyone being here. However, the end result is that the kitchen is beautiful and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding.
Description of Work: Kitchen renovation. Removed old cabinets, appliances, countertops and furdown. Scraped acoustic "popcorn" from ceiling and retextured ceiling and walls, then repainted. Cabinet company installed cabinets and granite fabricator installed countertops. Contractor's crews installed backsplash tile and new appliances, hardware knobs and pulls, window, door and lighting. The project last about a month.

After sending this contractor an email via Angie's list, promptly received a call to schedule at time for an estimate. He was to arrive at 3 pm on a Friday. I took off work early to accommodate this. He never showed. At 5 I received a voicemail indicated that he was confused and thought the appointment was at 5 and it wasn't until he looked at his calendar he realized he missed the appointment. I didn't call back because this immediately gave me a bad impression. On Tuesday, I received a call from him again. tHis time se spoke, and he was apologetic and offered to reschedule. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I agreed to do so. He rambled for awhile, stated that he was very busy and that he would contact his partner and that his partner would be calling me to schedule something. Two days later the partner called. He too rambled on about how busy he was, but we did agree to have him come for the estimate on Wednesday or Thursday. He was supposed to call me back to confirm/schedule a time. I did not hear from the guy until the following week, at which time, I informed him that I did not want to do business with him. If they can't be dependable , honest, and organized enough to give an estimate, how reliable will they be to conduct work?

The job went very well. Dustin and his team communicated with us every day regarding what was going to be done and who would be coming to the house. They always came at the time they said. They laid down floor protection covering to protect the stairway in route to the job site on the second floor. They took care to keep the dust and mess from the construction work confined to the work area. Whenever we went into the job site, they stopped to talk, answers any questions, asked us if we liked what they were doing and if we were happy with the work. There were three items we were not happy with and each was repaired to our satisfaction within a day. They completed the work on time and on budget. We will have them come back to compete the other work we need done.
Description of Work: Our master bedroom and attached master bath had not been updated since the home was built in 1985. It was time for a remodel! Dustin's crew of extremely professional and polite craftsmen carefully removed all the old tile, tub, toilet, sinks, counters, flooring, light boxes, wallpaper, carpet, and mirrors. Then, over the next few weeks, we saw progress on a regular basis....they raised the ceiling in the shower area, built a new tub deck, removed an unnecessary door and trimmed out the new doorway. An excellent job installing the new tile, special travertine border and trim in shower, a travertine shower floor and ceramic tile flooring as well. The painting team painted everything beautifully - including inside the cabinets and closets. All the necessary electrical work plus plumbing was done properly. They did a beautiful job installing the white oak hardwood flooring in the bedroom and both bedroom walk-in closets. Now that the work is complete - we love our master bedroom and master bath. It's wonderful to see how Stanush Contracting could accomplish such an awesome remodel.
I'm so glad we finally hired a contractor and updated our home! I love it! Dustin and his team were very professional and pleasant to work with throughout the remodel process. He opened up a wall to give our kitchen an open concept, installed flooring, installed granite and backsplash in kitchen, set back the wall behind my refrigerator so it wouldn't stick out in my walkway and installed all new appliances and cabinets. He was so wonderful to work with that we had him create a second contract to cover all of the extra jobs we decided we wanted him to tackle while he was here. He put in flooring in my washroom, kitchen and living areas, painted the kitchen and washroom, updated my pantry, installed new hardware on doors, covered the vent to my downdraft, installed under cabinet lighting, installed new recessed lighting, pendant lights over my counter and lighting over my kitchenette. His team of workers even moved a giant armoir out to my garage and fixed a back door that wouldn't shut properly which was nowhere in either contract. He checked in with us often throughout the process and addressed any issues immediately. Everything was done to our satisfaction. His team cleaned up well after all their jobs and contained the dust as much as possible. When I noticed that a little dust had still gotten in, he came back after all payments were made to clean my wood flooring. We will definitely be calling Stanush contracting again when we are ready to update our bathrooms.
Description of Work: Complete remodel and update of kitchen and laundry room. New floors throughout the house.
Dustin Stanush Contracting is a honest, professional company. We are so glad that this was the company we chose to work with. We had our master bath remodeled. The crew took the walls down to the studs, braced studs for handrails and seating and put up cement board. We had the popcorn ceiling removed and had the ceiling and walls textured and painted. The tub was removed and a cast iron shower pan with tile surround was installed. The electrical, plumbing and flooring were upgraded. New cabinets and toilet were installed. The finished product is exactly what we wanted. Dustin keeps in close contact throughout the remodel to assure you are pleased with the progress. When concerns arise [as they will with any work in progress], they are addressed immediately and resolved to your satisfaction. The crew were skilled and professional craftsmen. They arrived on time and cleaned the work area prior to leaving. The project manager, Lloyd, is very hands on and as skilled as he is personable! This company does great work and has a skilled work force who take pride in their work. We are so pleased with Dustin Stanush Contracting that we have been recommending them the our friends and neighbors who are interested in remodeling projects.
