Description of Work: They did a small job for me, replanted a flower bed and I was very happy with communication and quality of their work at the time. Problem came recently when I requested another small job, they provided a bid but were unavailable to do the job because were either out of town or working on a big job. When I flat out asked if they were interested in doing my job, they did not call or email back. I would have preferred the honesty up front that he had no interest in the job instead of wasting my time.

+ 1 moreWell, Late this afternoon, he emailed me. THis is what he said,:"I missed our appt. today and I apologize. I completely forgot about you.Let me know if you would like to reschedule." Really? Not even a phone call. THEN when I tried to email him back, my email was rejected as I was not an approved sender. I called to say that on top of everything, now my email was rejected. Wouldn't you thin that now he would call IN PERSON to apologize. Nope, another email, He was in the garage working on a project and it was his wife;s fault for being out ot town as usually it is she who reminds him. I had emailed to him asking why he thought I should give him another opportunity to get my business. He did not even address it. This man is self centered and the idea of courtesy does not fall within his lexicon. No doubt he will answer this by saying that he apologized and he doesn't understand why I am upset. Right. That was not an apology.
Description of Work: I contacted them via teh website, described what I wanted to do. A very nice woman emailed me back sayuing that they loved my ideas and were excited to meet with me. Then she called and set and appointment for 11:30 (possibly 11 but I cannot quite make out what I wrote). IT is now almost 12:30; no has arrived and no one has called. There is no answer at their office. I have left two messages. NO response. I scheduled today to have more than one contractor, plumber and painter come today to give me estimates and one will be knocking at my door in just a minute as I see his truck from my window as I type. Not only is this bad business on his part, it is just rude.

Description of Work: We gathered several quotations to have our entire front yard landscaping redone. I found Garden Guy online and their website was very professional and has a great self evaluation to describe the type work desired. The Farber's replied to my free quote inquiry promptly and set up an appointment. The quotation came back quickly and was easy to understand. The design was exactly what I wanted and was beyond my expectations. Todd went above and beyond adding extra touches based on how the design was progressing. The design included a flagstone path, plants that suit our area, boulders and moss rock edging. Our front yard is a show place. Todd Farber, The Garden Guy did an awesome job.

+ 0 moreIn June of this year, Todd Faber came to my house for a landscape consultation. I agreed to pay $45.00 which was to be refunded IF he performed the work. I asked him to do the work; he agreed but said I shold wait until September. In September, he said he was "working on the plan". but I heard nothing more. In October, I emailed saying that if he was not going to do the work, I'd like a refund on the $45. He answered promptly, telling me he would put the check in the mail "tomorrow". That never happened. I just got scammed out of $45.

+ -1 moreAfter waiting for several weeks and with prompting, we got a sketch on graph paper that a first-grader could have drawn. There was no color, no detail. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED! Needless to say, we hired someone else.
Description of Work: We hired Todd to landscape our backyard. He came out to our house to give us an estimate. We paid to have quality landscape drawing of his ideas. His website says that the drawing is loved by many of his clients.

+ 0 moreINCOMPLETE EXECUTION: Garden Guy does not follow through with work as promised. For a landscaping project he provided us with a list of plants for three large flowerbeds. The original proposal only specified type and quantity of plants for flowerbed 1. For flowerbeds 2 and 3 he claimed verbally to supply those plants as they would become available. It took weeks and several reminders to finish the job in flowerbeds 2 and 3. The plants he finally installed in flowerbeds 2 and 3 were too few and too small, resulting in a barren bed. WARRANTY: Garden Guy does not honor the terms and conditions of his warranty. Asked about replacing plants that did not perform well, he replied we will not replace or guarantee plants for homeowners without irrigation. However the warranty that is stated in the proposals he provided us with does not include any reference to irrigation systems nor did he communicate this to us verbally. Our attempts to resolve this issue were ignored by Garden Guy.
Description of Work: Removed existing plant material and replaced with new landscaping.
