I bought the special deal for flushing and inspection of the water heater for $69. Additional work was suggested since the unit was 8 years old and some of the parts needed to be replaced. There was at an additional charge of $305. I felt no pressure for the additional work to be done. In fact he was ready to leave when I read his recommendation and requested the work. I found the plumber very polite and competent.

It went well and the work was completed .

He explained effectively why the additional parts needed to be changed in addition to the flush, and the explanations checked out after later research. The prices were a bit more than I would have hoped for based on the time actually spent, but I think that's typical of plumbing service.

It went very well. I was very pleased with their services. And I intend to use them again when we need to have additional work done.

React-Fast was excellent in the work they did for us. They called ahead and scheduled the appointment. They showed up when they said they would. They got right to work, diagnosed the issues and fixed what could be fixed very promptly. What needed to be rescheduled was taken care of within days and again, they were prompt and the work was quick and excellent. This was a very satisfying experience and I would highly recommend these guys for any plumbing or water heater related work you need.

Office manager friendly & set a reasonable appointment. Technicians arrived on time. Lead Tech found that my tank was plugged and wouldn't drain. He told me I needed to replace the plastic drain hatch and safety valve $260 ($195 safety $65 drain). After several comments about my lack of maintenance I asked him how much to replace the whole unit. He estimated $988. Later he told me $200 to replace the magnesium rod. In order to determine whether to repair or replace I asked him what I might expect in terms of remaining life on the unit if I repair it versus replacement. Again, he went on about me not draining the unit annually. I had to ask him at least 3 times to move beyond my past and just answer my question about the expected life of a repaired unit versus a new one. Finally, after him telling me that ALL his clients drained their units annually I started crying. I am on a fixed income so I was already stressed about this unexpected expense but to be repeatedly badgered about not draining the unit every year was just too much. I did not use them to make the repair because he made me feel awful about not draining my unit. If the company has sent someone who was more observant and respectful I probably would have hired them to make the repair or replace the unit. I called another plumber that I had used before who told me not to beat myself up over it. He offered to give me a 2nd opinion free, came out that afternoon, confirmed the need to replace the safety but not the magnesium rod. He told me he would replace the safety right now and since I had no leaks and was getting hot water I could set money aside to replace the unit. He would credit the labor from this job to the labor for the replacement job. So much nicer than React-Fast...and for far less. Bottom line...both times I purchased coupons off Angie's list I felt like they did not do what was described for the coupon but since I had to pay up front I had no way to know that all I was going to get for my money was an estimate. I am hesitant to purchase any more coupon offerings because I can get free estimates elsewhere.

We unfortunately discovered our kitchen sink would not drain properly on a Sunday evening after having a dinner party. We tried a few things ourselves that evening, but nothing worked and we decided we needed to call in a professional. I called React-Fast Monday morning (due to the positive reviews here on Angie's List) and left a voice mail. Within 30 minutes, they called back and had me explain the issue. I told them I'd like someone out to the house by the end of the day and they told me that I'd be worked into their schedule. I was very pleasantly surprised when one hour later they said they had plumbers that could be there within 15 minutes! Two gentleman arrived and were both courteous and professional. They provided an estimate for my approval before starting the work. They then quickly got to work and ran 90 feet of cable/plumbing snake through an access port on the outside of our house to locate and remove the clog. Clog was located about 30 feet down the pipe. I'd estimate they spent about 45 minutes performing the drain cleaning. The kitchen sink drain is now working better than ever. Considering the quick arrival on-site, the quality of the people and the work - I think the price is fair. I would definitely call them again for any plumbing related issues.

Like I said, I will eventually have to fix the flue so that the wind will not blow out the pilot light. When I'm done with some other projects, I'll call them to fix this issue.

The guys were fast, courteous. efficient and informative. They answered all my questions without hesitation and offered information on the heater and how to keep it in good working condition for the future.

The work was done on time and it all went well. The price was more as the plumber replaced our anode rod that had started to calcify due to the soft water heater. The final price including the $69 coupon was $229.00. I thought the price was a little on the high side.

Their technician arrived promptly to do a hot water heater drain and flush. My house is five years old and this is the first time it was done. The job took about 45 minutes to complete, and the technician cheerfully answered all my questions. He explained that due to the very hard water in south Texas, water heaters should be flushed annually, and the pressure relief valve should be checked every six months. He showed me how to check the relief valve, and explained that if the valve should start dripping after a check, it should be replaced. He also explained how the heater works, and that the heater anode rod should be replaced every 5-7 years to fight hard-water buildup. He even gave me estimates for what replacing either the relief valve and the anode rod should cost. When the time comes to replace anything on my heater I will definitely call React-Fast Plumbing.

The first year I bought my house the water heater had to be replaced...good thing I (had) a home warranty! I live in a town home w/ limited space and the water heater is in a tiny attic space in the garage. I was sure it was a nightmare of a place to work in, and remember the difficulty in bringing the old unit out and the new one in. It's not walk-in like I have upstairs and there's no pull-down ladder. I was advised to make sure to do a flush annually to avoid the problem. Fast-forward 6 years, and how many times have I flushed the water heater? Not once. So, when I saw them on Angie's List a couple months ago advertising a flush/inspection for $69, I decided to finally get it done. I bought the service online and called React-Fast to let them know that I'd purchased the service on Angie's List, and to schedule an appointment. I was asked a few questions about my water heater and I scheduled the appointment, and they arrived as scheduled. I didn't know if they would have room enough to work, but they used a regular 6 foot ladder that I had already in my garage, and didn't seem to be too big of a problem. I was recommended a couple of parts to help maintain the water heater, and was told that in order to replace them they would have to bring the entire unit down and then back up again. I'm very happy with the experience, everyone I've dealt with at this company has been friendly, professional, and they worked faster than I thought. I strongly recommend this company and will use them again.

Excellent service! Arrived early. Drained and inspected water heater. Identified issues with water heater connections and drain valve. Thoroughly explained concerns. Offered solutions then quickly corrected issues. I believe I've found my new plumbing company!

I spent $95 because they came at 7p. That said: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING Mary was so awesome in getting me scheduled right away even when I changed directions to have them come out the same night. Jerry was there in 30 minutes and in and out in 15. I will DEFINITELY use them again!

We called to make an appointment and were given a day and time. The technician was prompt, courteous and efficient. He inspected the water heater and found no problems with the unit itself but noticed that Temperature Pressure Release valve that was connected to it was not the correct one for that particular water heater. ( When we bought the house, the inspector noted that the water heater had no cutoff valve. The previous owners either put it on themselves or had someone install it that was obviously not a licensed plumber. ) Thankfully, I got an email special from Angie's List and had them come out. An inproper TPR valve or the lack of one can cause great danger! We now have the proper TPR valve on our water heater and are good to go. Thanks to React Fast and to Angie's List for posting the "Deal of the day." They really are deals!!!
