This is the second job Ben has done for us. He ROCKS! He does a beautiful job and he is professional. He answers emails and phone messages quickly and is very pleasant to work with - he does what he say WHEN he says. You will not find a better experience. I certainly wish everyone who worked on our house provided the quality of service and workmanship that Ben does.

Ben and team have been AMAZING to work with from start to (almost) finish. They are always on time and have never left us waiting. Ben came in and help us design what we wanted. He pointed out the good and helped us work around the bad. The design and drawings were exactly what we wanted and the price was not the lowest, but was nowhere near the highest. Build was estimated at up to 10 weeks but came in at 3. Initial delivery was fantastic, and follow up after granite install was on time and perfect (even though the homeowner wasn't always ready). Just a note about South Arlington cabinet makers. We invited 4 craftsmen into our project. One was very nice, had the lowest price, but could not provide any references or pictures of his work. One was arrogant, snide and while he provided a verbal price was almost twice the Covenant price. One was punctual and polite but came in the highest at over twice the covenant price. I can't say enough about Ben and his entire team. They've got my business and recommendation! THANK YOU Covenant Crafters!

Ben Massey is a true craftsman. His designs and bids were the most organized out of the bids we received. He was punctual and professional. Installation was smooth and seamless. We've been enjoying our beautiful custom cabinetry for fours months now. Everything he has designed and built for us has proven to be of the very best quality. We plan to use Covenant Crafters again in the future when/if we have another custom project to do.

Ben did an awesome job. He came up with a creative design for the upper cabinets and was willing to work with us on keeping the lower boxes so we could keep the countertops that were relatively new. He matched the wood perfectly. Unless you knew you would think that they were all installed at the same time. He was timely, responsive, did exactly what we wanted. Worked well with the painters and tile people whom he had not worked with before. I highly recommend him to do work for you! He delivers a quality product, in a timely and friendly manner. When an ice storm delayed things he tried to get into our hilly neighborhood on a Sunday so that things could stay on track. The hills were still to icy, but we appreciated the effort he put forth. He is one of the very best in our area!

I was very satisfied and pleased the work. The owner, Ben, was a nice man and he did exactly what he said. I would recommend his service. I felt comfortable having him in my home. He was always on time and never left a mess. He also gave me a 5% discount because I found him on Angie's List. His price was the best compared to other companies I contacted.

From the moment I first contacted Ben, he was friendly, poilte, professional, and really listened to what I wanted in my kitchen. The price he quoted for the estimate, only changed when I added or subtracted items from the "wish list." After he installed everything and I had him remove one of the spice racks, he even came back the following Monday to personally deliver the check for over-payment. Theme of the Kitchen: No more wasted spaces My kitchen is roughly a 10'x13' with a 4' detached bar area. He made the bar cabinet a one piece unit with a sink space and lovely 30" wide drawers. Really enjoying those. The old cabinet was just a basic open space with no shelving. I also had a blind corner units above and below. He created an "Easy Reach" upper cabinet that allows me full visible access to the shelves. This he created after I sent him some pictures. For the bottom, he installed a pull out and slide unit. There is still some area in the back that is not fully accessible without removing the slide baskets. I plan to store the "once every 2 year" items in that space. Ben also created a digital picture of my future kitchen. It really allowed us to see the end product. It also made my husband and I realize that, yes, we did need the over the fridge cabinet. Our old kitchen did not have one. His design and custom work allowed us to fully use every inch of wall space. In the old kitchen with standard boxes, there were many wasted inches. But the feature I really love, and could not get from the pre-built boxes, is my built in message center. It?s a small magnetic white board on the side of an upper cabinet. It?s been great for tacking up recipes and I see it being well used in the future. Ben also was dead on target with his time estimate. He said 6 weeks, it took him 6 weeks to deliver the cabinets. He came out a week and a half prior to install to make final measurements and adjustments to the design and features I wanted (like cutlery drawers). This allowed my general contractor time to much of the other work in our kitchens.

They do good work. They are professional and what is nice about them is especially if you’re a property manager, if you have a cabinet that is broken they can make custom cabinets and make it identical to an old cabinet, and they can do it for cheap. That is good to have if you need to replace those in an old kitchen.

I'am not sure but I'm assuming it was ben who arrived to provided the estimate. He did arrive on time. He mentioned building a new e-center but did provide an estimate. His estimate was very expensive compared to the others I had obtained. I decided to go with someone else.

Ben is amazing listens and performs to exact specifications. Everything is done on time and always helps us with rush orders. We love Ben at covenant crafters!

Total satisfaction with Covenant Crafters and the owner and builder Ben Massey. Our experience began with a personal (and prompt) home visit by Ben. We needed a custom double vanity for our master bath remodel, and we had very specific design requirements. We wanted a furniture look that coordinated with our 1940's bedroom set. He offered suggestions but never pushed his ideas on us. He was very willing to add the special touches we wanted, including appliques, in-drawer outlets, custom beadboard drawer facings, and pull-out drawers behind the doors. We also wanted a new tub facing for our garden tub. He built a facing with three functional doors, so that we can take advantage of the space around the tub for extra storage - and to be able to access the plumbing, if necessary. The doors feature custom beadboard to match the cabinet. The entire project turned out beautifully. The vanity is the eye-catching centerpiece of our bathroom remodel. Everyone who sees Ben's work raves at the beauty and quality. It's excellent design and construction, all at a fair price. Ben was very friendly, prompt, and easy to work with, and he even finished our vanity before we were ready to install it. No waiting on our end! We are totally satisfied with Covenant Crafters and will use Covenant Crafters for our next cabinet project.

During my move from Tennessee, one leg on my picnic table was broken. Because of the type of break, I didn't believe a repair would hold. I contacted Ben and was able to order a block of old redwood sent to him along with one of the intact legs. They are straight but have very curvy sides. The new leg is a perfect match! He also repaired the broken leg 'just in case'. Though all this was done through e-mail, Ben's promptness, courtesy and helpfulness was obvious. As was his friendliness. If I ever again need carpentry work done, I will only call Ben Massey.

I had two other carpenters bid this project, and while Covenant Crafters was not the least expensive, he was the only one that included detailed computer drawings and a very detailed list of what was included in the bid. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with every part of this experience. Ben is an excellent communicator which is essential to understanding what the customer wants and how to ask the right questions so that there are no unmet expectations. He showed up on time every time. He called me along the way with detailed questions, and he was patient with the changes that I made along the way. He showed up to install exactly when promised - and the final product was better than I had even imagined. He puts details into his work, that I didn't even know to ask for - and I am a PICKY customer. He obviously prides himself on not only producing a wonderful product, but on giving the customer a positive experience. I have worked with other carpenters before so I expected the usual little mishaps and misinterpretations that come up - but that was not the case here at all. I couldn't be more happy with the experience and if I ever have another need for a carpenter - he will be my first and only call.

We were very happy with the work done by Ben and team. He showed up on time to perform the estimate, stuck with the estimate he provided and delivered on time. Most importantly, he did a beautiful job.

Ben was very pleasant to work with. He met me (promptly) for an estimate of the work and provided me with a written bid two days later. Upon acceptance of the bid, he came out again (promptly) to take final measurements and discuss details. He offered some great suggestions for the design. He said they were about three weeks out and gave me an anticipated date of installation. The installation took place in the time frame estimated and Ben arrived early and got to work with his assistant right away. He did an absolutely beautiful job and we couldn't be happier with the results. He matched the existing molding and paint and the dimensions were perfect. The shelves are all adjustable. It looks like it was always there. I highly recommend Covenant Crafters and will use them again should we ever need more woodworking performed.

Ben was referred to us from a larger contractor who used his company for jobs. We obtained (or attemtped to obtain) quotes from three vendors. Ben's quote was equivalent to another company; what sold us was his attention to detail in the survey of the job, his interest in explaining the do's/don't's of our requested job and his commitment to schedule. We layed out the schedule around the holiday period so as to not impact the house during Christmas. Ben subcontracted the door/drawer manufacture so they were ready by the time the install was to take place. The team arrived exactly on time on the day to start and then proceeded to work steadily through the job - took 3 days of heavy work. In the meantime, the doors and drawers were stained on site prior to hanging. We asked that the wood be stained prior to hinges being applied so it would look cleaner. Though not their normal way of executing, Ben readiliy agreed to our request. We were really impressed with the job when finished. The quality of worksmanship was outstanding and the paint crew was top class. We had a final touch up day where both Ben and paint crew were there to attend to our every inspection find (not too much was found). I was hesitant to do redo the kitchen this way, fearing the sand/gel stain method would look horrible. Wrong! The kitchen looks brand new and I figure we saved about $15,000 doing it this way. I did not want to replace solid wood cabinets with veneers and plywood - so the path we took turned out to be correct. All told, we replaced 30 doors and 30 drawers. The drawer guides were replaced with modern, ball-bearing slides - excellent choice. Top job from start to finish - on time, on budget and no hassle.

Covenant Crafters (Ben Massey) is the epitome of great Customer Service!! I really want to start this review with just saying Thank You for a truly great job!! Thank you Ben - you are appreciated way more then you realize!! First, finding a carpenter was a task in itself. We had originally found one that proved to be unreliable. Through further research, we located Covenant Crafters (here out to be referred to as "Ben"). I initially contact Ben to have an estimate performed on various items we wanted to get accomplished prior to having new granite countertops installed. A date / time was set up for the estimate - Ben was 15 mins early - very punctual and professional. We discussed all the items we wanted completed. Ben promised an estimate via email by the upcoming Friday - true to his professionalism, we received it Thursday. Liking the estimate, we entered into an agreement with Ben. Ben returned and took the necessary measurements and a date was set for the installation. Prior to the installation, multiple coordination was required with other contractors to complete their part. All items were a go when Ben followed up 2 days in advance to ensure we were still on track. Ben arrived 15 minutes early and proceeded to get right to work. Ben installed new chip glass doors in our cabinet first - aligning the doors for a seamless fit. He next started to tackle the island - installing faux support legs and new bead board. Once completed, he moved to the new trash receptacle - housed / hidden within the existing cabinetry. Ben also fabricated a new bead board dishwasher front. Installation proved to be a bit tricky, but Ben was successful in the installation. However, Ben's artistry was yet to be realized until the installation of the newly fabricated farmhouse sink cabinet. WOW - did that turn out beautifully. Ben removed the old cabinet and installed the new one with the farmhouse sink. He incorporated faux legs on the cabinet and it looks great with the addition of the new countertops / faucet. Thinking Ben was completed with the work required, little did I know I would need to call on him again in approximately 2 weeks. The new stove would not clear the new stovetop due to the decreased size of the granite countertops. I contacted Ben to see if he could modify the stove opening to accommodate the new stove. Ben set a date / time for the upcoming Saturday. Again, true to his word, Ben arrived early and accomplished the task. New stove is sitting where it needs to be. Anyone needing any cabinetry work, and I mean ANYONE - do yourself a favor and save a lot of time and call Ben. You will be extremely pleased with his work, his professionalism, and he's just a "Good Guy" overall. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Once again Ben - thank you for everything you did for us. Should the need ever arise again, I assure you - you will be my first call!!

I am very pleased with the work done by Ben at Covenent Crafters. I called in mid-November to get an estimate on having him build a new shelf and doors to remodel an existing built-in TV cabinet in my den. He arrived on time to give the estimate and after agreeing on a price, we scheduled an appointment for November 26 to take final measurements. He again arrived right on time and agreed on an installation date of December 7. For the third time, Ben arrived on time and completely prepared for the installation. As part of the work, he had to cut away some of the existing cabinet to make room for the new 47 inch TV I had bought. I must say, that part of the work was what concerned my wife and I the most. If any mistake was made, it could have made the whole process a complete disaster. However, Ben was very meticulous and precise with the saw and it looks amazing! You cannot tell that any work was done. His new doors matched the existing stain perfectly and were made to look like they came with the original cabinet. Another impressive thing about Ben was his dedication to making sure we were 100% satisfied. The original cabinets came with polished brass door handles with back plates. Since he knew he wouldn't be able to match the old ones, we decided to find something new. After some extensive research, he found out that there aren't many choices anymore in polished brass. Even more, trying to come up with new back plates that would cover the old ones was also difficult. Since the stain had faded a little under the old ones, we needed to have them very close to the same size to cover the old areas. He found some that worked well and they look great. Overall, I will recommend Ben to anyone in need of woodworking services. AWESOME JOB!

He showed up to provide the estimate on time and provided me a quick quote. He also showed up on the install date 5 minutes EARLY and was able to complete the job quickly and it was perfect !! Very happy !!

I initially contacted Ben looking for a estimate to build me two large drawers. He responded quickly and with an estimate that was very competitive. After I delivered the specific size specifications , he built them. I went to his shop to pick them up. I carried with me the drawer fronts, which he then attached. I carried them home and then self installed them. The drawers work very well and we are very pleased with the results.
