Ben showed up on schedule and came p reposed to complete the job.

We are about to move to TX from another state. We found Ben's website and my husband called him to come out to our house while we were in town and talk to us about making him bookcases for his study as well as the other things we wanted. We wanted them white to match the newly painted white woodwork. He took extensive measurements and we talked about what we wanted, listening to his suggestions and what he could do. We spent 45 minutes, maybe more doing this. He said they would be ready in about 3 weeks, I think, possibly 2. He went by the house after we had gone home and while painters were there to see what kind of paint we were using so he could get that. He also cut out some baseboard to match the trim he put around the base of the cabinets so that it would match and so it would look as tho these cases had been built when the house was built. When it was time to paint the cabinets he found that the paint we used was actually not as hard and durable as he wanted for bookcases. He said it would scratch and be a bit sticky, but the lacquer he normally uses was a bit yellow. However he found a rather expensive new paint that was hard as nails and would be perfect but for the price and the color which was slightly different so he called to see what we thot. When he did this, my husband was in town so he went by the house and Ben had left him a board with all 3 paints on it so he could see them and make a decision. The only other option was to tint the white paint with our grey paint to make them the color of the walls. My husband thot the color was fine however so he told him to use the expensive paint, $75/gal. They were installed yesterday and my husband is soooo happy. This is what he has wanted for years. He took photos and sent me some which I will attach. I am really impressed. We will use him again when we need more cases or any other furniture item he could build for us. Ben is hardworking, honest, ethical and very good. He's young, however, but don't let that bother you. He knows what's he's doing. We highly recommend him.

Regarding the bed: I emailed him some photos of what we wanted and then gave him a deposit. He emailed me back a couple of times for more detail on the distressing that we wanted. He was very intent on providing us with exactly what we wanted. He showed up on time to deliver the furniture and set it up in the bedroom. Everything was done timely and professionally. I had him back to measure the kitchen drawers that needed replacing and the bay window for the window seat. He quoted me a fair price and completed the work in a timely manner. His install was efficient and clean. We were once again pleased with the process. I have additional work to do in my house and will call him without hesitation as soon as we are ready to do it.
