Allied Fence Co

We were happy with Allied's price, service and workmanship. We'd definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends! They beat two other competitors' prices by several hundred dollars. To help save us even more money, they were willing to re-use the wood privacy fence we already had rather than charging us for all new materials (we had them move an existing section of fence to a different location) and they didn't look down their nose or make us feel cheap for asking. After our first phone call, Travis the estimator was quick to come out to look at the job and give us an estimate. He came out a second time, after we asked if they'd re-use the existing wood fence, to check the quality of our existing fence and to make sure we were all on the same page about price. After accepting the estimate and giving the green light, it took longer than we anticipated to get the job scheduled (about 2 weeks). It felt like we got forgotten about somewhere between the estimating dep't and the scheduling dep't, but a couple phone calls to Travis got everything back on track and they came out to do the job just a few days later. The day of the install, they called to let me know the names of their guys who would be doing the job and what time I could expect them to arrive. Both installers were courteous and diligently worked to finish the job same-day. They cleaned up thoroughly and hauled any evidence that they had ever been in my yard. Overall, we're 100% satisfied with Allied's work.

It went well. They had two large gates installed within 2 days of starting the job.

The reason for the C in quality is due to several rounds of communication issues between what we needed done and what the onsite workers actually did. We provided most of the materials so I understand they may not have been familiar with it at first, but even after explaining in detail what was needed, there seemed to be a breakdown somewhere and things still didn't get done to our specifications. We didn't feel that it was necessary for them to dig out fence posts that were set in concrete and do it again, so we decided to pay the invoice and let it go. I wish I was able to give these folks a higher rating, but it just didn't go that way.

super job - the salesman was on time, very polite and professional and asked many questions and also answered all my questions about the job as well as various replacement fencing options. He gave me the full cost upfront and let me pick a date availalble for the job. the workers arrived and completed the project that scheduled date and were very friendly and asked my opinion several times to be sure i got what i wanted.. then fence looks awesome and did not have to do any cleanup. Would totally recommend Allied!

Contacted many fence companies. Got 5 quotes. Wanted a specific height and make - Ameristar. Jerry Parent was the most interested and enthused to install a fence. He was very responsive and eager to do business. Allied's price for the fence was the best value for money. Installation went fine. However two items need to be noted - when the fence arrived the posts were not Ameristar and the cheaper - made-in-China kind were dropped off - so I had to pay a little extra to get what we agreed upon. Not impressed, but wanted the work completed. The other item is that I shared the cost with one neighbor - I expected that the whole of my side to be Ameristar - which it turned out not to be. I want to expand the fence again - this is an issue now for the expansion. I chose Allied due to Jerry's responsiveness and competitive pricing. The end-result is a fine fence, but due to the issues noted above, I cannot give an A. I will still recommend Jerry and Allied.

Seamlessly. The workers were extremely professional and competent, and the fence looks incredible and they finished in the exact time that they quoted. I wish I had called them to replace the fence years ago!

I checked Angie's list before contacting fence companies after 2 sides of our privacy fence were damaged in high winds. Out of the three I called, Allied Fence was the only company who truly expressed interest in me and my needs, and while they expressed they were very busy, they scheduled an appointment for a representative to come out, measure and provide me with an estimate within a week and go over my options. I was kept up-to-date with phone calls, confirming the inspection appointment for the estimate the day before, call on the way out to the estimate to let me know he was running about 10 minutes late, emails to give me updates as to when the work would be completed, phone call to tell me the crew was ready to start "that afternoon if I was ready for them", and then a follow-up call the day after the work was completed to confirm the work was complete and to my satisfaction. The original estimate and final estimate were right on and it was amazing to me that no money was due prior to the work being done. The finished product looks awesome and I'm hoping my neighbor to the back of me decides to replace his soon so I'll have something good to look out on that side as well! I definitely would recommend Allied Fence Company to others and would use them again myself. Great experience!

Picked Allied after comparing price, service, warranty with several other fence companies. The masonry work is top notch. Fence was custom made to fit the slope of my yard. Welds are professional and clean looking. I would contract with them again without hesitation. Thanks to Josh, Mandy and the entire team at Allied.

They were professional. Customizing solutions and offering ideas to maintain budget.

Over all the job went well. The salesman did not communicated my requirements to the installers. But I worked things out with the installer and the main office.

The estimate was thorough and professional, including a diagram. Jerry was on time, friendly, professional. I thought the estimate was a bit high, but discovered it was reasonable based on two other estimates. I got 3 prices. Two were almost identical, but the third was about $300 lower. But I was impressed with all of the companies, including Allied. (I joined Angie's List to help me decide.) Estimate was $2230.00.

Everything went great. They knew what they were doing and the fence is in a straight line. Scheduling went well and they were on time for the appointment. There were 4 crew members and it took about a day and a half to complete everything.

My expereince was not very good. Some of the fence has holes in it and I was not satisfied with what they did. One part of the gate is bowed out and the gate locks on the inside. I called them to give them all my concerns and they never came back out to check up on everything. They asked me to send pitcures but I have not been able to do so yet and I am going to continue to follow up with them and see if they address my concerns. They were very nice, professional and on time.

The prices were reasonable which was why we hired them. It was not a care free installation, we had to have them come back a couple of times to correct some issues. They did not clear the growth of the vines and did not put the fence all the way down to the ground. Scheduling went well and I had no complaints about the crew members. There only was some miss communication with some of the workers.

Allied fence was very prompt in their response on coming out, checking what we needed and give us a quote. They were very willing to work around our schedule to install the fence and not vice versa. The fence looks great and sturdy (what we wanted). The people that came out to do the work were very polite, professional. We love the work they did. They did address our concerns and we were very comfortable not having to be there the whole time they did the work. I would definitely use them again in the future.

This was a good experience. Jerry was punctual in his appointment to come over and make a quote for the job. Mandy kept in touch with me on when the crew would be able to start the job. The crew tended to start a little later in the morning, but they worked until it got dark. They did a great job and cleaned up everything. The fence they built is replacing an old split rail fence that had decayed and fallen over. They cleaned up that mess, too, and took the old fence away. The new fence turned out probably better than I was hoping for. I chose Allied Fence based on reviews here on Angie's List, and I am glad I did. Jerry is coming over later today to look at my old privacy fence that needs repair or replacing. I plan on using Allied again.

It was really good service, I'm really happy with the fence. Kept in close contact with me. The only thing was they had to reschedule due to projects ahead of me.

They had to re-schedule several times. But once they got there, they got it finished in one day. We are pleased with the quality so far and I would recommend them.

Arrived late but finished the job same day, quality materials.

It went well. The work is of high quality and the lead installer was responsive and took time to confer as needed. One problem was that the crew did not arrive as early in the day as promised and nails will left around the gate that was installed last. I informed the company of this.

I really wish they hadn't have kept telling me the "estimate was on it's way" then tell me they are too busy to do half the work. They should also follow up better, to make sure I got an estimate (and not a blank scan). I will add again, though, that I have worked with them in the past and been pleased with the work. You can read my other report where I've rated the experience quite well. So hopefully this is an isolated incident and not a trend.

Not impressed with them during their estimate so did not use the services.

We were looking to install a modern-style horizontal slat cedar fence, but also keep things within a reasonable budget. To save money, we requested the horizontal style for all fencing visible from the street, with standard vertical for a long span at the back of the property. They understood and had no problem doing this combination of types. I was overall very, very pleased. The fence looks great and the price was better than the other bids. Throughout the whole process, Allied was very easy to get in contact with and always friendly and professional. The installation took a little longer than expected due to rain and the fact that many of the posts had to go into solid limestone. However, even though I don't think they originally took that into account, they still only charged me exactly what the estimator said. The onsite workers were professional and had all the equipment necessary to drill into the rock. There were a couple of minor issues with the cleanup but they fixed that after a couple of calls, and never asked for any money until I was completely satisfied. Also, they used #2 western red pickets instead of #1. This was indicated in the initial estimate (I had to go back and check), but I don't recall them giving me the option for #1 pickets instead. This was probably due to my budget requirements. I assume there is a quality difference there, but I'm not sure. It sure looks good to me, and we've gotten several complements on the quality of the fence.
