We hired Allied to install a fence and gate in our backyard because they are a local business and we trusted their good reviews, Better Business Bureau grade, and their two-year craftsmanship warranty. A few months after the installation, the gate started to loosen, and the gate latch became unusable (see photos) though we used it sparingly and had no external weather damage; the gate will not close anymore and we cannot put a lock on it. We use cinder blocks to keep the fence closed now. We emailed Allied and sent them photos and Carlos replied that it would be fixed “by the end of the week or the next week” (this was in June). He did not reply to our status inquiries in the subsequent weeks, but we received a call and email from project manager Garrett who offered to help months later. We texted him photos of the fence and he said, “we need to get this fixed for you” and acknowledged on the phone that we were in the two-year warranty timeframe. Since then, Allied has not fixed the fence nor provided any information about when they intend to honor their warranty. The project manager has repeatedly asked “did Allied install it” and “what’s your last name again” though our email chain included the original invoice and our names listed on it. Allied Fence and Security advertises quality work, great customer service, and a two-year craftsmanship warranty, but we are left with a poorly made and unusable gate and experienced bad customer service, plus not following through on their two-year craftsman ship warranty. For these reasons we question Allied Fence and Security’s reputation and trustworthiness, and we give them a one-star review. We would not recommend them and regret hiring them.

The sales guy was good until the contract papers were signed. Then it was extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone in the office to figure out when the job will be scheduled. All of them are unprofessional people. Instead of the original scheduled date, they suddenly called to reschedule the work on a weekend. The folks who came to do the work did a lousy job and did not complete the work. We had to hire a handy man later to finish all the work. Never do any business with this people.

Allied Fence had installed gates for us four years ago and did a great job. However, the hinges started locking up and the latches weren't working correctly anymore. I called them to get bids on fixing a few things including possibly straightening a few bent pickets. The original repair bid they sent me was a whopping $2110.00 while the original cost of installing a drive gate and a walk through gate was $2001.00 just four years ago. I scaled down the scope of repairs to just replacing the latches and hinges and they came down to $977.00 while they had let me know that the cost of the new hardware was around $180.00 in an earlier bid. I was disappointed that they wouldn't be more willing to do more affordable repairs for previous customers. Obviously I didn't proceed with the repair work.

This project was 100% driven by me. It was as if they didn’t want the job, which is insane. There were no updates unless I called, and their start date kept changing (even after assurances it wouldn’t). It was a horrible experience and I wish I had hired a different company.

I am very happy with how the job was quoted, schedule and communicated about. The crew was friendly and reliable.

I'm very happy with my new fence. I'm not sure if I would recommend Allied, however, due to the poor communication. On several occasions, I was told by a receptionist or representative that someone would call me later in the afternoon, and yet no one would bother to call me back. The job had to be rescheduled multiple times, and on one of those occasions they didn't let me know until the last minute, which interfered with my work schedule. I was told the job *might* take 2 days due to the size of my fence. It took 2 days because they had to let the cement set around the posts overnight before putting up the pickets--they should have explained that when the job was scheduled so I would have been expecting it and could mention it to my neighbors (since we all have pets). The fence itself looks great and the workers were professional and left my yard clean. Communication with the company, on the other hand, was extremely frustrating.

The look around the property and discussion with Travis resulted in a very comprehensive plan and professional estimate. The crew were here as promised and they completed the job on time. The professional installation and the finished product are superior. The problem is that now my neighbors want redwood pickets.

Problems were: 1. Finding their office to discuss installation of fence was almost impossible. Just finding a fence company was a chore. 2. We had to keep calling to find out when we would be on the schedule. Small town and so you have to get in line which we are not use to that coming from a big city where there is plenty of competition, so in all fairness our C is partly do to small town services/big city services. Once we were on the schedule they were very responsive to keep us up to date on our scheduling. Rain bumped us back a few days. Quality: We have not had a chain link fence in over 30 years and the quality we had back then was so much better than today so we were comparing what we had to what we got. We had not really looked at any chain link fences in a while so our disappointment was more our fault. Customer contact: Contact person was very informative, upfront, pleasant and easy to work with. She smoothed out the wait and delays. Price: Again, we have not priced chain link fences so we may be all off in this point. We were just happy to find a place who could talk to us and that could put one in for us. All factors considered and after it has been installed we are pleased with the outcome and that is why we gave them an A in overall satisfaction.

The quality of materials was excellent. The job took a little longer than I hoped but I think that was because of the amount of rock that was encountered in digging the posts. They ran short a few pickets and I had to buy some plastic construction fence to cover the space so my dogs wouldn't run through my neighbor's yard but they reimbursed me for that. Once it was complete, I noticed a few pickets that didn't get nailed completely. Then came back out and fixed that the next day and left me a few ring-shank nails just in case. Since MOST of my neighbors realized the value of replacing a 20 year old fence and agreed to split the cost with me, Allied agreed to split the bills up so I could present each neighbor with his share of the cost.

Waited a few days for an email. Never got one. Contacted them and was told I would get something by the end of the day. I didn't get anything for 48hrs, when I did get it the actual quote was not attached. Price for a 177ft fence was 3750$.

We have not used them yet. There was no cost for the estimate. I thought they did really good and it was a fair price. It was more expensive than the other offer.

There was no cost for the estimate. They were excellent. It seemed like everybody was very similar in pricing. There is not much difference in the prices. They were right on time. They were very professional.

The contractor came promptly and measured and discussed all things needed and what would be done, he was very professional and pleasant . I would use them again when needed . Thank you Allied

My last interaction with Allied unfortunately went very badly. It came as a big surprise, because just less than a year ago, they installed a fence on my property and they did an excellent job. At that time, I gave them a good review on Angie's List and I also recommended them to my neighbors. I considered them very responsive and professional, and I definitely planned to call them again when the fence on the other side of my property eventually needs replacing. Just recently, however, my gate suddenly will not open or close without using tremendous force. It appears to have shifted and is no longer aligned properly with the latch. So I called Allied to ask them to send someone to check it out. I expected the same level of service and professionalism that I had received earlier. Needless to say, I was very surprised and dismayed by their lack of interest and responsiveness. Over the course of 2 weeks, I called them a total of 5 times. Twice I spoke with 2 different men (one of whom was very gruff) who told me they would relay my message to someone else to call me but no one ever did. The other times I spoke with Mandy, who kept saying she or someone else would follow up with me, but I never heard from anyone. At no time did anyone ever get back to me - I had to initiate all contact with them. Finally I just gave up. It was clear to me that they simply weren't interested and weren't going to do anything. So in my experience, I found them to be very responsive when I was purchasing a new fence from them (a big ticket item) - but then I was out of luck when I had an issue with what I bought. For this reason I will never again recommend them to anyone.

Based on a neighbor's experience, I called Jerry at Allied Fence for a bid on my backyard fence. After I inspected my neighbor's fence, I was very pleased with their fabrication and installation methods. I then obtained other bids to compare Allied's bid, and found them to be competitive. After the city issued my permit, Jerry placed me on his installation schedule. I must tell you, I have never seen two men work so hard, in extreme hot weather, and complete my install in two days. Outstanding job!

I called for an estimate and Travis came out within a day. He listened and took notes, then provided me with a thorough bid within a day. I asked for a couple of changes, but each time the new estimate was back in my hands within a day. (Compared to two other fence companies I contacted, this was WAY more responsive!) Once we agreed on the specifications, we set the date. There were several delays due to rain and other commitments, but their office manager kept me informed every step of the way. On the final agreed-upon date, their crew showed up promptly. They worked steadily - no slacking off here! It took them two days, but they kept at it and were very thorough. They did a nice job on the fence, checking with me several times to be sure they understood exactly what I wanted. When it was time to clean up they were very thorough. I would definitely work with this company again. They were extremely good about staying in touch and their work crew did a good job. I was delighted when they called the day after the job was finished to get my feedback! Very unusual in this day and time. Definitely recommend them.

Allied did a great job of installing our fence, and while there were a couple of snags, they worked around them to my complete satisfaction - they made sure I was happy. The fence looks great, and should keep the neighbors dogs out of my back yard. Frank and Wilson did a great job on the install, and Charlotte was extremely helpful when we hit a hiccup.

I'm not going to recommend them. It turned out okay but it wasn't as smooth as the process I have expected it to be. The communication between the salesperson wasn't good. They got the install date wrong. There's a problem with the gate and with the post. I ended up having to yell and I didn't really enjoy that.

Excellent. Service was quickly executed within 2 weeks from coming in contact with them. I was at work the entire day they were doing the work and got home to a very nicely put together fence with no mess.

they are very busy, so the timing was not going to work for us, but it is worth mentioning that the communication from this company was very professional and response time was also very good. these are huge factors in doing business with a company, and based on those traits alone, i will definitely check with allied fence for future needs.

We are super pleased with the finished product. The two installers were very professional, friendly, and skillful. There were a few choices to make, such as gate swing in or out, bar front or back, slant or step down, etc. Fernando gave me the pros and cons of each, so it was easy making those decisions. I definitely recommend Allied Fence.

We were pleased with the experience, and the part of the fence that was replaced looks good! We would definitively use them again. I liked that when I called the office there was always someone there to answer the phone and answer my questions. Happy with the work and the service!

We had Allied Fence Co out in Feb to replace our aged wooden privacy fence. The original salesman that came to bid the job gave us one quote. Later we received an email with different numbers and after a few emails back and forth, he was still reporting a different price. Then after all the work was done, we receive a bill with yet another different price. It was all within the range we were looking to pay, so not that huge of a deal, but very confusing none the less. So, attached to this fence we have Invisible Fence wires. Throughout the entire dealings with several salesmen and the job foreman, I was very clear that I would deal with removal and replacing the Invisible Fence wiring if they weren't familiar with it. 3 different men all assured me on different occasions that they were very familiar with it, and not to worry, they would take care of everything. The charged me an additional $1/ft for the added labor that I agreed to. They tore down and replaced the fence, which went fantastic. Very professional, prompt, clean. They were very careful to not even leave a nail behind on the ground. The materials appear to be nice and thick quality cedar and the fence looks fantastic. We are very pleased with the fence portion of the work. The taking down and "replacement" of the Invisible Fence wiring was awful though. I saw the workmen on several occasions yanking the wiring and they did an absolutely horrible job of "replacing" the wiring. I have several pictures of the outcome and no one would agree that it is replaced correctly, even knowing nothing of how it's supposed to be. I immediately contacted Allied and was told there was absolutely nothing they could or were willing to do. That Invisible Fence is not in their line of work and the workmen could not be expected to know how to deal with it (it was simply stapled along the upper and lower braces of the fence). She was completely unwilling to help resolve the situation. So, I'm thrilled with the actual fence replacement, but very disappointed in the lies that were told on 3 separate occasions that they were familiar with and could easily handle the extra task. Never should they have promised something they had no intention of delivering. So now I'm faced with repairs at $100/hr. Buyer beware, for the fence they are great, but do not have them do anything extra and make sure to firm up the quote!!
