Electrical - troubleshooting, repairs, service upgrades, surge protection, new construction, remodeling and much more.
The initial installation of cable on 2/29/12, connecting electrical source to pergola ceiling fan, presented questions for me so I called and spoke to owner Mark Loguercio. On 3/5/12, he came out to inspect the installation and suggested a better way to do the job. The project was redone on 3/8/12 to my satisfaction. I later noticed that the pergola ceiling fan was on the same frequency control as my indoor fan, so on 3/13/12 the ceiling fan's frequency control was changed. Logo Electrical's owner, Mark Loguercio, is very customer conscious and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. His employees Tony and Mike are punctual, polite, and hardworking. The bad side of the project is that it took longer than I had intended; two weeks from start to finish. And the cost was much more than I had planned to spend.
Description of Work: Replaced light bulb to security light outdoors. I supplied the light bulb; security light was already in place on tree. Replaced GFI for outdoor fountain already in place. Installed outdoor ceiling fan onto pergola, running cable from existing electric source to fan.($554). Reset ceiling fan frequency control switch ($69). Installed panel surge protector ($300). Total cost $923.

Had a potentially dangerous grounding issue in my house, so I gave a few electric service companies from Angie's list a call. These guys got my info taken down and had a tech out within a few hours. The grounding issue wasn't obvious so the tech informed me that their "diagnosis" fee was $195. Steep, but it was on short notice and I had other work pending that was dependent on my fixing this problem. The tech did a thorough job of figuring out what issue was and then on snipped jumper wire later he was done. It pained me to see the issue fixed so quickly, but the tech did do his job and alert me to other issues that might have contributed to that problem. One of which involved having my electric service company redo my service weather head (I did ask my utility company to come take a look and they agreed that it needed to be redone). Not really part of the problem but I did appreciate being alerted to other fixable problems. The tech and I then chatted about the type of wiring in my house here and what could be done to update it. He was competent and let me know what might be within and outside of my ability to DIY.
Description of Work: Check out of grounding issue in a GFCI in my bathroom.

The gentleman installing the ballast was not sure of the wiring and had to call his supervisor. So, I wasn't confident in his electrical ability. When I turn on the light switch, both light boxes do not come on at the same time. One comes on, then the other. I am going to have to call when I have time to have them come back out to fix the problem.

I called Mark (the owner) with a huge problem of an electrical smell in my family room. It was the worst it's ever been. I've been weeding out the cause. Mark was so very nice and in fact put me ahead of the regular schedule for the day. Brian showed up in just about an hour after I called. He was professional, thorough, and found the problem. I asked him if he could replace the surge protector with a new outlet and without any hesitancy, he went and got the piece and put it in. When I mentioned I found out about the company through Angie's List, he immediately gave me the $25 discount
Description of Work: Electrical burning smell was thoroughly investigated and plug was replaced.

This work was done based on an estimate given in August, 2011. Estimate for work was $869.00, based on notation that multiple cuts of sheetrock would be required in order to pull new elctrical line in our first floor condo unit that did not have ceiling access. NOTE: estimate DID NOT include sheetrock repair. Technician took less than 2 hours to complete the work; no sheetrock cuts were required. Initial charge made was $994.00, written on the invoice as $869.00 for materials and $125.00 for labor. After paying the bill to the technician and doing some further investigation, I contacted Mark Loguericio, owner of Logo Electrical about the charges. Mark indicated that the $869.00 quote was an all inclusive price regardless of what they encountered in running the new line, and included all labor to complete the job. I pointed out that his statement was not consistent with the invoice which listed labor of $125 in addition to the $869.00. He indicated that he would refund the $125.00, but refused to mitigate the $869.00 charge. I will never use Logo Electrical again. My mistake was in putting too much faith in Logo Electrical's rating from Angie's List and not getting a second quote for these services. I feel like I have been the victim of predatory pricing: assessing a job and providing an estimate based on a description of a very complicated job. This job had minimal cost of materials involved. In hind sight, the $869.00 estimate, I'm guessing, must have had 8 hours of labor included, assuming a $100/hour labor rate. The job was completed in less than 2 hours. If you choose to use Logo Electrical, I strongly advise getting a second quote first. As for me, I will not even have them provide an estimate on a job again.

Our pricing are based on set prices. We always make sure the customer is aware that there could be some holes that need to be cut . The original quote was for $869 and was agreed apon and signed. There was some additional work which the electrician thought he should charge for. I spoke to Member My main goal was to resolve this matter and to keep Member as along term customer. We spoke for at least 30 minits and refunded the additional charge of $125.00 . I also explained the electrician made an honest mistake and reinvoiced Member from my office. If Member would have gotton another quote he would have found that we are highly competitave and professional.I hope Member reconsiders his position.

I am very satisfied with Logo Electrical. Before calling Logo that morning, I placed the first call to John Moore. I was told that someone would call me back to set up an appointment. After an hour of waiting for someone to call me back. I called Logo and they sent Brian right out. When John Moore finally called me back, I was at work. This was around 3:30pm the same day.
Description of Work: One of their techs, Brian, replaced a chewed out central wire in our attic and replaced the ballast in our garage lamp. They came out the same day that I called and within about 2 hours. There was some dust that settled on to the floor from the attic ceiling door. Brian cleaned up the dust balls with the vacuum cleaner that he brought with him. It was nice to know that they prepare themselves to clean up behind their work.

Same day service following phone quote. Electrician very punctual, worked fast and cleaned up. Charge was much larger than expected due to recommended installation of new electrical box to replace original one which electrician stated was too light duty to hold heavier light. Said would use the old one if I insisted, but would have to put a disclaimer on invoice. I understood his reasoning etc., but question the likelihood of new fixture weighing maybe 10#'s falling from box that held up the old one for 15 years!! He didn't pressure me, but certainly raised enough doubt in my mind to spend an extra $80.00 for what was probably a $20.00 box and 10 minutes extra labor. He may have been being totally honest about the whole thing, but I felt overcharged and somewhat at the mercy of someone who certainly knew more than I. I liked the Electrician's manner however and will probably use Log again, but will watch for extras!!

Logo not only fixed my issue (no lights or power in upstairs bedrooms) but clearly explained why I was having them (power outlet shorting out the circuit) and the best possible course of action. I had no idea of knowing what was wrong but after he opened the outlet I could see the charring! A major fire hazard and it was fixed quickly. I felt so good about them I point out other issues and he quickly remedied them as well. My kitchen light was having various issues and after replacing the balast problem solved! And the new energy efficient lights are amazing bright and look great as well. I then opted for the whole home surge protector which I purchased and it was installed in less than 20 minutes and I can get a discount on my insurance for having it. A great company, a great experience and I HIGHLY recommend them! Thanks Logo Electrical and thanks Angies List!

I called. They came within 2 hours and were prepared to do the work. After the estimate, the tech began working. The chandelier was hung without difficulty. The wiring and change of light/fan switch ran into difficulty requiring an additional 189.00 (approximately) and additional time. All in all the Tech was here 6 hours!! We appreciated the fact that the company was able to accommodate us on short notice and felt the Tech was professional and honest.

I called Logo Electrical & spoke with the receptionist regarding a problem at my Mother's home. We discussed the problem at length, as well as what it would cost to check the problem out. I was told it would cost $44.00 for a dispatch fee, the electrician would check the problem out, give us an estimate & if we decided to have the work done, the $44.00 would be waived. We scheduled an appointment. The next day, an electrician (name withheld because he was innocent of wrong doing), arrived promptly & was courteous. He went over what he would be doing & informed my Mother & a friend that was over, that Logo Electrical, charges $194.50 trouble shoot fee in addition to the $44.00 dispatch fee, that I had been quoted. He reiterated the dispatch fee would be waived if he does the work. He said, once he locates the problem, there would be additional charges to fix it. Because my elderly Mother is on a fixed income & was expecting the possible $44.00 charge, she called & told me what he said. I spoke with the electrician & told him my conversation with the receptionist. He said that the dispatch fee covered him coming out, but the trouble shoot fee, was $194.50. I told him my Mother could not afford to pay $238.00 for an estimate, plus additional charges for the repairs, & we would not be using his company. My Mother paid him the $44.00 & sent him on his way. In discussing everything with the receptionist the day before, she never once said there was a $194.50 trouble shoot fee. While it was clear about the dispatch fee & charges to repair any problems, an estimate fee was never discussed or I would not have hired this company. All said & done, beware this company charges $238.00 for an estimate, minus the $44.00 dispatch fee if you let them do the work. As I said, my Mother is elderly & on a fixed income, so the $44.00 she had to pay for the electrician to come out and do nothing is a disgrace.
Description of Work: I contacted Logo Electrical on Mon. 10/17/2011, regarding an electrical problem at my Mother's home, that was possibly related to a water leak from her roof which occured several months back. We scheduled an appointment for Tues, 10/18/2011.

Both of our air conditioners went out today at 2PM. I fought all day with a home warranty company to get someone to come out emergently as my mom is 89 and ill. When I was finally able (through Angie's List) to get someone to come out, he found that it was actually the circuit breaker. By this time it was 90+ degrees in my house and 9:20. I called Logo Electric from Angie's List and spoke to Alicia, who was very professional and polite. She said she would page someone right away. At 9:45, I called her again and she stated that she had paged someone , but they had not responded. I then called a third company on Angie's List, Thor Electric and Danny Hixon called me right away and came out 45 minutes later. When I called Alicia to tell her thank you, but that another company had repsonded faster, she stated that she had actually paged anothe employee and no noe had answered several pages. POOR. POOR SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: None. Eventhough they state that they provide emergency services, they never called back.

Hello, I'm truly sorry for the bad experience. We just hired a new answering service on 8/22 and unfortuntely, they did not follow correct protocol. The technician did not receive the message. Since this, incident we've corrected and handled this problem. We take customer service very seriously as this is evident on other ratings. Job was simple and quick with no problems. I was shocked at the total for the work and the electrician said that it was a set rate and I would have to call the office to discuss. Talked to Mike in the office and he said he thought that the work sounded high and would get with the electrician, look into it and get back with me. Needless to say, he never got back with me. I have used this company twice now and while the work is satisfactory I feel the pricing is too high. Will try someone else next time.

They were wonderful. I called them that morning and they were out by that afternoon. I called other people and they told me that they could get out here the next week. I called Logo Electrical and he called me back half an hour later to say that his people were on their way. There were two of them that came out. I had them come back because I thought the light that they had lowered was too low. They came right back and did it over for me. They were great. The ceilings are 20 feet high so you can't just get anybody to do that plus the electrical. They stood there while I washed it all up. They put it up and asked me if it was alright and that was it. There was no hurry. It was a little pricey. I couldn't find the color for the chandelier chain so they ran out to the store which was half an hour away. They took the chain with them, bought some spray paint, and spray painted it for me. I was absolutely floored. They spray painted it and waited for it to dry. They asked me what I thought of it and I told them it was great. I missed cleaning a little place in the lampshade and they pointed that out to me. I thought the price was a little much, but now when you consider it, it was fine. I could not leave here because of the construction work that was going on. They didn't even ask me. They just told me that they were going to the store. They brought back two colors and let me choose. They painted it, waited for it to dry, and left me the paint here in case I needed to touch up. It was amazing. I will have them come out and do some other things in the next couple of weeks after the project gets done.

He was very friendly, courteous and thorough, diagnosing the problem easily and quickly. While he was there I called my pool service repairman out at the same time and together they decided it would be better if the pool man did the pool lighting repairs since the fixtures were 20 years old and would likely need replacing and rewiring.
Description of Work: The specific problems I called them for was that both our pool lights and our landscape lighting had gone out. Trouble shot pool lighting going out and determined the pool lights had burned out. My pool service will replace those. He then replaced two photo cells on landscape lighting. Then even though I had not specifically asked him to address the issue, he also recommended whole house surge protection to protect against lightening strikes. We had already had one lightening strike in the past that did not do a lot of damage, but now had more computers, big screen TV's, etc. so I swallowed hard and paid an additional amount for that protection.

My electricity went out. I called and a serviceman came out. He checked many outlets and told me that the neutral line from the transformer to my box was no longer working. So I paid him and I contacted my electrical provider to place a temporary line. They temporarily replaced the line and now I needed to have a new one installed. I called Logo back for an estimate. When the gentleman came to give me an estimate I was given the high pressure treatment. I was concerned about digging near my very tall Washingtonian Palm. He insisted that the other company would not hand dig but use a trencher and would damage roots. He would hand dig. I thought that made sense but then he kept insisting that if it wasn't hand dug the tree would topple because strong winds come from the South. I argued with him. The winds come from the NW. He insisted he was right. WRONG! He quoted a price and I told him that he was too expensive. He then told me he would throw in a surge protector system for my house free. I knew I didn't need it because I just experienced a power surge and my power surge protectors which were of highest quality did protect my things. I just couldn't see paying so much for the service he would provide. One other thing, the gentleman didn't even use a measuring device to calculate the distance. He paced it off. I asked him to use a measuring device and the reply is most of the time he nails it. The estimate was given. I had gone to Angie's list and contacted another electrical service company to get an estimate. It was considerably lower. ($1,200 lower) I called Logo to tell them I would not need their services and the the receptionist asked whom I would use. I didn't need to tell them that, but I did. They called back 2 times and I let the answering machine take the message. The other company, from Angie's list, did hand dig and did a super job. Their price was right and I was glad I could contact another company from Angie's list to get an estimate.
Description of Work: The electricity went out and I couldn't get it back on. I called and a serviceman came out and tested thoroughly to determine my problem. He informed me my neutral line was not functioning. I paid him (It was high). An estimate was given later, when a person came out to assess how much it would take to replace the neutral line.

Normally, I do this type of work myself but the switch was so damaged that I could not identify where the wires were supposed to go. And since I am allergic to electrocution, I called these guys. They came out in about 30 minutes and fixed the thing in about 3 minutes. Man, I hated paying that $129. It would have been $149 without the Angie's list coupon and who knows how much if I had been electrocuted or burned down the house.
