Langley Lawn & Tree Service

Scheduling was rather hit and miss due to weather but got it on the second try. His crew was great and very nice. I feel his price was good and he was willing to discuss every part of the operation with me. He is good at contacting you if delayed by traffic, which is common in my area. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Kenneth came to our home on 2-11-13. We discussed what we wanted done. Replace three tress and move 4 trees. He gave us a quote for both jobs, gave us a plant date of 2-21-13 and asked for a check for $1250.00 to pay for trees. Come the 21st, he called stating that the weather was too cold to plant, lets look at Monday the 25th. He called that day stating weather was still an issue, will call again later in week. Later that week, his calls were explanations why we could not plant yet. The trees were finally planted on Wed the 6th of March and he finished staking the trees on Friday March 8th. I got frustrated with Kenneth during this last week. He would call and tell me he was pulled over by DPS to look at his trailer, thus he could not plant the trees that day. He claims he would be over in early morning the next day, that turned into late afternoon. He shows up with three trees in pots weighing over 300lbs and only him to get them out of his trailer. He then tells me he needs to get his help and he will be back. He leaves and comes back with my neighbors son from across the street. They get the trees out and put them where they are to be planted. Kenneth says he'll be back tomorrow to plant. Next day no Kenneth, he does call you with his plans on being there, but stated he had to pick up son and go to court. Next day trees are planted, Kenneth and a worker complete this job, with the promise of staking the trees tomorrow. Told him we would not be here on Thursday, so he asked for final payment of trees. I asked him about the charge for grinding stumps and since I saw no grinding, I really wanted the charge removed. He asked me to pay him for half, by this time I just wanted to be done with this. Looking back I should not have paid him for services he did not do. Come Thrusday, no Kenneth to finish staking trees, he calls us and gives us another reason. On Friday as we are leaving our house @ 4:30pm Kenneth shows up and finishes the tree job. I should add he cut some tree limbs away from a flag pole for me, but I will have to tweek that, as the trim was not enough. Overall I thought Kenneth started out okay, but he talks fast and alot and does alot of boasting of his company. When he asked for half payment, I should have seen the first red flag. When there was delay after delay, that should have been my 2nd red flag, when he shows up without the proper equipment or help, yep.. 3rd red flag.

Called when he was enroute. Arrived within specified time frame. Trimmed and shaped tree then cleaned up everything. Helped me dispose of debris from my back yard at no extra charge. Will definitely use Kenneth in the future.

I noticed that my tree was diseased and needed emergency treatment. I called Kenneth on a Friday and because of my hectic work schedule, we made an appointment for a Sunday morning. He was punctual and worked quickly - he communicated with me throughout the week and came back out to my house to treat my tree for the first time. I was very pleased with his enthusiasm, punctuality, and knowledge - I highly recommend Kenneth!

Kenneth came out immediately after I called him to inspect the dangerous branch and provide an estimate since it was too late in the day to do the actual work. He and his crew arrived promptly the next morning at daybreak and safely removed the branch, along with trimming quite a few dead branches from 4 different trees. They cleaned up after they completed their work, and the area was cleaner after they left than it was before they arrived. They left an immaculate work area, and even helped me haul off dead limbs that had fallen that weren't part of their agreed upon work. I definitely plan to use Kenneth Langley again.

I was in a bind - had guys doing concrete work who found a huge pine stump that would have stopped the whole project. Kenneth was able to come out the same day to help me out and didn't charge an arm-and-a-leg. Great guy - arrived when he said he would, did a great job - HEAVEN SENT!

I was very pleased with the outcome of the job. He performed the services we had previously agreed upon when he came out to give me an estimate for the work I wanted done. His crew was very pleasant and good workers. They followed his instuctions to the T and did not do anything prior to his approval.

Not only did Langley Lawn and Tree Services respond quickly to our initial inquiry, but Kenneth understood the urgency on our part on the timing of the service and made room on his busy schedule to arrange for the service within 5 days of our agreement. As for their services, the entire project went smoothly and quickly and Langley Lawn and Tree Services did a great job cleaning up, afterwards. As well, Kenneth Langley did a good job of following up with us to ensure that we were satisfied with the job. His communication with us regarding the service and throughout the project went well beyond our expectations.

We had a bit of confusion over when the work would be performed, but the work was excellent. I received exactly what I asked for.

Kenneth gave me an estimate on tree trimming as well as quite a bit of yard work and everything he said he was going to do he did. Even though he said it might take two days it ended up taking three but he never went over his agreed price. He was prompt and always kept in communication with me as to when he was going to arrive each day.

We told him we needed to think about it. We got another quote for $1200. I left a voicemail telling him we would not be using his services. On Friday, they came to our property, a worker jumped over the fence came to the door and told my husband he was here to cut the trees. My husband told him that we did not appreciate them coming and that we did not want their services. Later on I got a message from him asking me to call back. He was confrontational once he found out we were going with someone else.

They arrived when they had promised and did the work. The quote was good.

They did an excellent job. I cannot overstate how delighted I am with the work. Mr. Langley has a real talent for creating a pleasing shape, and was able to salvage a big tree that I thought was a hopeless mess. I was afraid it would look lopsided and ugly after it was trimmed off the roof, but instead it is gorgeous. Mr. Langley stood below, directing his workers with each cut. He always asked for my opinion and go-ahead before removing limbs, but his own ideas were the best. His workers were very careful not to damage any of the bedding plants below where they were working, and they were extremely thorough in cleaning up. It was a pleasure to hire such a conscientious and fairly priced crew, and I can recommend them without any reservations. I will certainly call them the next time we need tree work.

I am very happy with the work performed. Kenneth and his crew arrived as scheduled. He showed me exactly what they would be doing and they proceeded to do the work. They were incredibly careful to not let the limbs fall on the house or other shrubs. They worked quickly, carefully and efficiently. After cutting down the oak, they not only ground down the stump, but they also ground out some of the big roots that were visible above ground level. Kenneth asked me to check to see if everything was done to my satisfaction - he wanted to be sure I was satisfied before they started the clean up . They then proceeded to clean up the area and did a great job. I am highly satisfied and would definitely recommend them to others. They also do landscaping, so I will be calling them when I'm ready for that project!.

I would highly recomend him and his crew as they did an outstanding job and being very courteous to my wife.

I was very pleased with the job the Ken and his team did. They had to postpone the job for a day because of rain, but Ken kept me informed about the schedule changes and showed up right on time. One of the oak trees is quite large and was overhanging the house. Ken did a good job of reshaping the tree to get it off the house and match the appearance of the nearby trees. They cut back several large limbs without any damage to the house or landscaping. Overall I was pleased with their work and would use them again.

Mr. Langley and his crew were punctual and professional. They removed every limb and branch that was trimmed , and even cleaned the roof. My yard was immaculate after they finished the job. Mr. Langley discussed how he was planning to trim each tree before he began, and checked frequently to be certain I was satisfied with the progress. His attention to even the smallest detail was impressive.

The job went well. Kenneth is a perfectionist and will exceed your expectations. Kenneth seeks approval prior to and during any tree trimming process and any work performed. We chose Langley because Kenneth worked with his employees. If Kenneth was late to start in the morning he always called to advise us when he would arrive. This was a big job. We knew it before the job started and had postponed it for some time. Kenneth and Peanut (Peanut handled the majority of the landscaping) both wanted to make sure the job was done to perfection. We are well pleased with the work. Hopefully we can go another 5 years or so without having to trim trees again.

The service was professional and done properly. The crew that came to my property worked hard and were fearless when dealing with giant trees that needed to be climbed and delicately cut down. This job was not easy and many of the trees had valuable structures that had to be carefully navigated. Kenneth Langley (the owner) contacted me nearly every day to keep in touch as we had some delays due to heavy rainfall over the course of the project. I must say that I was very impressed with the communication and information I would receive from the company on a regular basis during the work. Kenneth is honest, hard-working and professional. I was extremely pleased with the work and the company. I recommended this company to my neighbor and a friend who both used Langley for tree removal and were very pleased.

I got two estimates from tree companies and decided to go with Kenneth even though he was slightly higher because he seemed to be very knowledgeable about trees and how they should be trimmed. I am so happy that I chose him because he and his crew did a fantastic job. They cleaned up all the debris left and everything looks great!

Two small trees cut out of back corner of yard that were hard to get to. I have a shed and another large Tallow tree in the same area.The oak tree in my front yard is so large and sprawling that In some areas i could hardly walk under it or park under it. This tree is very large and beautiful. The guys were able to lift, trim and thin it without changing the beauty of the tree. It looks great and now if we get any high winds the limbs won't do damage to my roof. My front and back yard were both cleaned from any debris and blown off. I will definitely call them back out if i need additional work done.

Contacted Mr. Langley and he promptly scheduled an appointment to review the nature of the work to be performed. The job was assessed and priced. Since the branches from the roof needed to be removed for a new roof, Mr. Langley offered to alter his appointments to fit my job. The workers arrived and promptly removed the tree and not only removed the branches from the roof, they also cleaned dead branches and cleaned the tree to make it more stable and promote healthy growth. Mr. Langley went beyond the original agreement and remained on site until I was fully satisfied. Rare to find a company that really pride themselves on their performance and customer care. Will be contacting in the near future to remove other trees too close to the house.

Kenneth and his crew worked diligently all day trimming trees, removing unwanted saplings and root suckers, cleaning up and re-mulching all my flower beds. They did an outstanding job. Kenneth constantly inquired if I was pleased with the work. He would also discuss with me what he wanted to do next before he proceeded.

I had purchased an older home back in April with nice size backyard with several old growth trees that needed pruning. There were also several small trees mostly with dead growth. I called Kenneth to schedule a quotation. He was in the area and came out the same day. He arrived at the scheduled time. Immediately he shared a copy of his insurance. We walked the property together discussing what I wanted done. He gave several recommendations based on proximity to the house, proximity to each other, and future growth. Provided me quote and scheduled the work to occur in two weeks. Unfortunately, mother nature didn't cooperate. The was originally scheduled during the recent week of heavy rain showers. Kenneth called me to let me know that due to rain delays, he would need to reschedule which did not surprise me. He told me when he would be able to come out and we agreed to a date that best worked with my schedule. The morning that he was scheduled to come out, he called around 8am to let me know he was picking up his crew. He and his crew showed up at about 9:30am, the time promised. Since it had been about a month since our first meeting, he wanted to walk the property together to review the work that would be done. He told me upfront that he would be gone for short period of time so had one of his crew, Brian, walk with us. During the walk-through, he gave specific directions to Brian as what to trim and how high to trim as well as overall division of work. A couple of hours later while Kenneth was gone conducting the quotes, Brian had one of the crew members ask me to come outside to recheck direction given on the tree that they were removing the vine from. Brian continued to trim and the rest of the crew cleared the debris while Kenneth was gone. Kenneth returned within the hour. Kenneth asked me several times during the day to come out and review the work being done to ensure that I was happy. He explained why he had pruned the limbs that he had. I couldn't have been more happy. All of the trees look very clean and limbs encroaching on the house as well as neighbors trees were removed. The mature pine tree is now free of the heavy growth of a jasmine vine that was encasing it and growing more 30 feet up. Kenneth did not remove it completely as ground cover at my request, but it is now manageable and I don't have to worry about the vine's growth pulling any limbs down onto the house. When I had to leave a little after 4:00 for an appointment, Kenneth and his crew were finishing the stump grinding and debris cleanup. Kenneth explained what was left that would be done before I returned. Kenneth called me when he and his crew had finished and were leaving. I came home to a completely cleaned up backyard and driveway. Other than the removal of trees, you couldn't have known they had been there. Kenneth, Brian, and the rest of the crew were polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I won't hesitate to contact Kenneth should I need any additional work done.
