Langley Lawn & Tree Service

I contacted Kenneth Langley and left him a voice mail about the job I needed done. He called me later that same evening and arranged for a time for him to come to the house the next morning for an estimate. He arrived the next morning and gave me an estimate. My neighbor came out of his house and was so impressed by Mr. Langley's professionalism and prices that he contracted to have three trees trimmed in his yard. Mr. Langley showed up punctually the next day with his crew and began work. His crew carefully fell the branches that needed removing leaving the tree intact. Neither the tree nor my property were damaged in any way. His crew worked quickly and efficiently. They picked up every single branch and even blew the sawdust off the driveway for no extra charge. My tree and the neighbors tree look great and I feel reassured the next time it storms the tree won't come through the front of my house. I firmly believe in, 'If you want something done right, you do it yourself.' I have neither the tools nor the training to trim a tree but I imagine if I did I could not have done better myself. I would hire Mr. Langley and his crew back to do work at my house anytime.

Kenneth came right away for an estimate and returned the next day to do the job. He cut down three trees and ground three stumps. They were rather small trees with good access. They did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward. He had a crew of two local young fellows that he mentioned were high school drop outs. He said that after six months, he required them to get their GED or they were out of a job, and that he would pay for their GED. He obviously watches out for the safety of his workers and takes good care of his equipment, and from appearances they were very appreciative of their position. Kenneth is very knowledgeable and shared his information about the trees he was dealing with as well as other trees in the yard. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and plan to use him again to do some tree maintenance work in the future. Although his initial estimate was for less than he did, once we saw his expertise we decided to expand what we wanted done. He volunteered that he was on Angie's List and was very proud of that fact and his rating. He also offers senior discounts. He also has a pressure washing business that I would not hesitate to use.

They arrived at the agreed time, with good phone communication the entire time they were on the way. The work was done for a great price, and the cleanup was *great*. The yard looked just as it did before they cut down the tree. I would definitely use them again, and will be calling them for some future work I need done on the yard. This was a very difficult job, and they did GREAT!

Kenneth came out to bid the job and made some attempt to sell me on additional services, but was respectful and responsive when I made it clear that I was only interested in clearing the lot. We made an appointment to start the work about a week later, but Kenneth called me the next day to move up the date, which was great. He and his crew arrived on time, worked hard and nearly had the job done on the first day. Kenneth and a reduced crew came back the next morning and finished up in a couple hours. The only weird thing was that halfway through the job, Kenneth asked me if I would pay him a significant portion of the bill upfront and in cash so that he could pay his crew. Ultimately, it was no hardship to do so, but it did feel a little unprofessional. Then when the job was done and I made out a check for the remaining bill to his company, he asked that I instead make it out to him personally for immediate cashing. Again, not a big deal, but kind of odd. Also, I should say I have no clue whether the price was fair. I have no prior experience of having this sort of work done and was too lazy/rushed to get any competitive bids.

The job went very well. Mr. Langley was great about keeping me informed of the schedule and the work progress, they did a thorough job and cleaned up well after themselves, and Mr. Langley even rearranged our landscape stones to look better.

I originally called Ken for a quote around nine months earlier, and asked him to come back out to re-quote as I had additional growth. The quote was reasonable, considering the work to be done. His original time to complete the job was 2.5 to 3 days; the actual time was only one day. Ken was very professional, and kept me involved in the process, making sure I was comfortable with the tree trimming. It was very important to me to have my trees properly trimmed, as I have seen many trees mutilated by tree trimmers. I was extremely pleased with Ken's work, and would call him again in an instant. He even raked the entire yard and left no debris behind. If you want your trees done right, call Langley Tree Service. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Very well. Ken came out on a Sunday afternoon to survey, and did the work that Thursday. I had another much lower estimate but Ken really impressed me with his knowledge of what needed to be done and why. I didn't just want someone to do what I wanted, I needed some professional expertise. He brought 3 other guys and they got done in about 5 hours. They left the place spotless and did some other work that he hadn't included in his estimate. I feel like I got twice the work as I would have out of the other guy and 4x the value. I would definitely recommend them.

Langley called me the day before to reconfirm our appointment and called me early on the day of the appointment to pinpoint their arrival time. Langley and crew arrived when stated, delivered superb trimming services and cleaned up all debris, even providing additional and necessary trimming services not previously discussed nor included in the estimate. Langley's crew are top-notch, courteous and professional. All Angie's List reviews I previously read were wholly correct in praise of Langley and his crew.

The work went well. He and his crew were clean and quick. He charged $750 for the job, and $100 to haul off some bushes that we removed from the ground ourselves.

We were very pleased with the work Kenneth and his crew did. They were very neat and cleaned up both job sites as well as any tree company I have used. I was able to have them do the work at the in-town property without ever meeting them at the house. Kenneth kept in contact during the day and when I arrived at the house everything was done just as we had discussed and as I had hoped, maybe better. At the new house in west Houston, their work was again exemplary. The painters had no trouble working after the bushes were trimmed and the two large palms in the back yard no longer are flirting with the power lines. There was a little delay in getting the new crape myrtle that they planted, but Kenneth kept us informed and didn't give us any runaround on the delay.

Mr. langley was punctual and called before to let us know that he was on his way and at what time he would arrive. Mr. Langley and his team were all very courteous and he kept me informed at all times with what they were doing and made sure that they were completing the work in the way that we had requested. I would highly recommend Mr. Langley, our trees look great and he did exactly what we asked for and we will definitely be using him again.

Mr. Langely arrived to give me the estimate for the trimming to be done. He had his employees with him and said he could do the work right away. I needed that, but felt his price was high. He claimed to give me a discount as he knew I had gotten his name from Angie's List. He said he would trim my small magnolia for no charge (nothing is free) and I agreed. His employees were polite and seemed to be efficient. I was satisfied with the work but still felt that I could have gotten a lesser price and the same quality of work had I shopped around alittle more.

The job went extremely well overall. I was impressed with the quality of the work they did and how polite and nice everyone was. The crew worked together well. It was a hot August day with heat indices of 108 degrees and they all hustled all the time--even when we got a couple of rain showers. The tree fell on a Sunday afternoon. I was out of town at the time. I found Langley Tree Service on Angie s List. I selected them because they had so many A ratings and POH nominations, they were available 24 hours a day and they were insured and bonded. I called Kenneth Langley that Sunday afternoon and he went to my house Monday morning, took a photograph of the base of the tree where it had rotted, e-mailed it to me and gave me an estimate of the cost to remove it. They removed the tree the following Wednesday. Kenneth did a great job of keeping me informed from the first.

Mr. Langley did an excellent job and didn't leave a mess. He was good about calling when he couldn't come for an appointment, but that happened a little too often.

Everything went smoothly. Their price was only $10 different from what another company offered me. Looks like it's pretty standard across companies. I'm satisfied with their work. Kenneth and his crew were professional and polite.

I was surprised how much Mr. Langley kept me involved during the entire process. Communication was superb and there was hardly a moment when I did not know exactly what was going on.

I thought the price was really competitive. I liked the people I dealt with. I had heard really good things about them. I decided use another company that a friend uses. They offered to trim every tree and grind the stumps for a little more money so I chose them. I would still consider Langley in the future though.

They came out, got right to work, and I am very happy with the job they did. The guys were really nice and helpful. I do kind of feel like I got more work for my money.

Mr. Langley immediately scheduled a time to look at my tree. He called and reported the status. In fact, the white substance was not harmful, so there was no work to do. He did not charge for the house call.

Kenneth and his crew were very polite and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves very well. All work was performed as per the estimate.

Came to give an estimate. Arrived early. Gave discount due to Angie's List affiliation. Work completed in less time than estimated.

He showed up when he said he would. Gave a very reasonable estimate and actually came prepared to do the job on the spot if I wanted. We have owned the house for 22 years and the two Arizona Ashes in the front look spectacular, better than they have in over a decade of using another tree service. Langley is modest about his artistic abilities--but he does have an excellent eye when it comes to trimming--as well as a thorough understanding of trees.

Mr. Langely came to estimate our project and beat our previous bids. He and his crew started immediately and worked all day until the job was completed. He performed all the work we requested. Leaving the trees that we requested as well. They cleaned up all of the limbs and branches and overall did a great job. He was very reasonable considering the amount of work they did that day especially with the palm tree. (others had told us they would not work on the palm tree)

They did a good job. Maybe a little over priced.
