Relocated here from Washington State to this area in June. Realized we had several dead and diseased trees upon arrival and called Kenneth. He responded quickly to our call and was out the next day. He spent a lot of time explaining in detail about our trees. He was very knowledgeable. We were so impressed with him that we didn't bother to get other quotes. Upon arrival, he and his crew were organized, polite, timely and were productive the entire three days they were here. Kenneth was very patient when we decided to add other trees to be cut. He spent an extra day and a half at this job to fulfill those requests. While on our job, he also did work for two of our neighbors who watched the work at our house and immediately wanted him to work on their trees as well. Both of these neighbors were very pleased with the job he did for them. Let me also say, there was not one speck of debris left in my yard or on my driveway. Clean up was amazing. I would highly recommend Kenneth Langley for any of the services he provides. He also does landscaping and lawn care. I will not hesitate to call him when I am in need of these services as well. I think he overcharged me and he put this HUGE pile of debris on the wrong side of my driveway. He said he had insurance and it wouldn't be a problem. Three of my trees were damaged because of the fire of the debris and I'm not happy. He tried to screw me. He tried to take advantage of me when I asked if he could come down from the $625 price. All they did was pick up debris, weed eat, and mow grass. They did it in 5 hours. Rebuttal to company's response: I have attached photos and his contract because I wanted Angie?s List to be aware of the scamming that is taking place in the name of same. You will note the contract does not even mention the $625 estimate and only shows $500 plus mower and trailer plus two extra mowings. Please note his blatant lie in his response where he stated he would only charge $325 plus mower and trailer. Please also see the photos of the burned trees and be aware that I was not happy when I saw the burned area and it was after he left with a previous check of $325 and a $300 cash payment. Please also see the picture of my backyard from my window next to my hospital bed. Note the 5 foot fence. The yard has not been cut since Langley was here in May. The weeds are the same height as when he came the first time 3 months ago. They were never 5 and 6 feet high as you can see. His covert exaggerations are ridiculous and I stand by what I said. This man was trying to take advantage and when I didn?t let him, I got screwed anyway. My last phone call with Langley ended in me hanging up on him. He was yelling just as loud as I was, however, I had done nothing wrong. He blatantly lied again about saying he apologized and told me to have a nice day, what a load of crap. He held my check for three months after being told TWICE to cash it immediately and he wonders why I was upset. I had 10 overdrafts at $32.00 each because I had paid my monthly bills the day before this jerk decided to cash my check that was dated May 15th on August 3rd, 2012. And his million dollar insurance coverage cannot regrow 50 year old oak trees, and how would I know this, if we had not discussed where he was going to burn on my property. He boasted that he had a million dollars in insurance that would cover any damages and I was quick to point out that insurance cannot regrow trees. The guy is a lying scumbag and should not be allowed to use Angie?s List to do this to some other unsuspecting human being.

He also coordinated the building of an arbor fence that matched my wrought iron gate. This took longer than expected with several delays on his part and the ironworker but he did not deposit my check until the job was complete. The arbor fence is up and looks great. He really 'nailed' what I was looking for.I plan to call him back for future job.

Kenneth Langley was very accommodating and sensitive to my request. Crew was on time and did the job in short order, completely cleaning up the yard. Small mishap with potted plant on patio, but nothing serious. There was limited space to drag limbs out of the yard. I was quite pleased with the job and would definitely recommend Langley Lawn & Tree Serv. to my friends.

The whole job took 6 days. Ken came when he said he would, and frequently checked with me to assure that the job was meeting my expectations. Both he and his crew are courteous and pleasant to have working around the house. All of them took special care not to let my horse or dogs out when they were going through our different gates. Ken even went to the trouble of nailing back some fence boards that had fallen off before he had even started working for us! He just thought"it needed to be done". Thanks, Ken!

Juggled his busy schedule to get my emergency job done. Keeps client informed, reliable, and works fast and efficiently, non-stop. Presents itemized contract and honors it.

Guys showed up and got right to work. Cleaned their mess up and left. No problems.

We had a little trouble connecting due to our schedules and weather, but Kenneth kept me informed daily about the status of the job. He said he aimed to please and he did.

From beginning to end he kept me fully appraised of what he was doing, I appreciated the fact that he was concerned with my new sprinkler system.He removed old cut logs as well as some poison oak. His team is top notch and well trained.

It went well. Mr. Langley was prompt and knowledgable. They showed up on time and completed all the work in a professional maner.

During the high winds last night, I heard a very loud crash. Our guest bedroom had a large branch that had broken off from a dead tree in our neighbor's yard. The branch had pierced the roof and was hanging from the bedroom ceiling. Finding myself in tears with a husband out of town and after making a couple of phone calls and being told no, I came across Langley Lawn & Tree Service here on Angie's list by searching "emergency tree service". Kenneth was great! He was on his way home for the night. I called at about 7 PM and by about 8:30, he and one of his guys were at my house, chainsaws and flashlights in hand, ready to get to work. I was a little unsure about having strangers come to my home after dark, but they were nothing less than professional. They worked until about 10 PM and even helped me take pictures for insurance purposes. We would definitely use them again.

They did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend. Did everything we discussed fast and on time.

Kenneth and his crew were such hard workers. I honestly don't know how they could stand the heat! Kenneth and his men were polite and courteous. They showed up on time and worked over several days until the job was completed. Kenneth kept me informed about the work that was being done and called me if there was a problem that kept him from the job. When they left, all the work had been done and they had cleaned up everything. The work done looked good and I would not hesitate to use them again.

My Langley was very professional. He constantly kept me informed of what was going on and when. He cleaned up after he was finished, and made sure everything looked like it did (and better :-) than when he arrived. Highly recommended!

We were very disapointed in the job as after the large tree was taken out had hard time getting him to come back and finish the job even though he had already been paid. An amout of $250 was quoted (or maybe a little more (in his words) depending on the amount of work) to install the sod but when it came time to settle the bill he wanted $475 in stead of $250; this we paid and gave his workers tips as they had worked extremely hard even to Ken put us off to finish the job for over 2 weeks!

Kenneth and his men were very professional. After removing my tree they cleaned up and left everything in good condition. I would definitely use him again.

He kept to his word on exactly what he would do, made recommendations as to how much should be removed in order to keep the wildlife safe and maintain their habitat. We left trees that had fallen from past storms, etc. It was a fine experience. I was worried about my AC fins getting dented because they had to drag past the unit in a tight area. No problems.

Owner came to the property to see what needed to be done and gave us an estimate. Estimated when he could return to do the work and came when he said he would. All workers did their job well and were very careful in doing some work on very tall pine trees as well as a sweet gum and live oak.

Work completed on the day scheduled. Kenneth was a good man to do business with and did everything I asked. All materials removed and left the yard totally cleaned up. I had no complaints.

This is the second tim we have used Kenneth to take down trees and trim them. From start to finish Kenneth was at our house not only supervising the work but actually performing the work with his employees. All of the work took 5 days to perform. One of the trees removed was causing foundation problems and the roots were extremely massive. Because of the size of the roots, the job took a little longer than the original estimate. Kenneth was very good about keeping us informed as the job progressed. We are very pleased with the look of the yard. Kenneth's ideas on how to improve the yard and the look of the trees was very insightful and we were very glad we took his advice. Our yard is no longer an overgrown mess, but now something to be proud of.

Fantastic service and quality work. Kenneth arrived the day I called him and gave me a thorough estimate for the work including a breakdown of costs per service per tree. Once I agreed to do the job, he kept me updated as to when he would arrive. As the work progressed, His crew broke a slat on our fence but Kenneth promptly replaced it. Kenneth was very professional throughout the entire process and I would highly recommend him to others. I intend to use him on additional trees on our property.

I called Kenneth and he answered immediately. I met him at the site the next day and we discussed pricing. I gave him the green light. We kept finding things that added a bit more cost here and there, but that wasn't his fault and he was always willing to negotiate. I did get another bid for a few hundred dollars less, but I think Kenneth won my confidence with his attitude and knowledge. I am extremely glad I stuck with him. He was fast, professional and did great work. He communicated everything well, including issues he found and other work he would recommend. In the end, I was extremely pleased and could not recommend him enough.
