Can I give this company an A+? Far and away this was the best experience I've had with a general contractor. Eric is conscientious, follows through, pays attention to detail, and gets the job done. His crews are professional, on time, and work exceptionally hard. The quality of their work is above reproach. We had an extensive trim project after doing concrete floors. This company did all the workworking, and spray painted the trim and kitchen cabinets for a seamless finish. They retextured and repainted some walls as well to make the house look brand new. Eric was extremely thorough in keeping us on time, on track, and in the loop for any problems that came up. They also did some exterior drainage work to prevent standing water next to our house. My biggest beef? I didn't hire them years ago. HIRE them.

I am very happy with Eric and his team. First time I had a contractor arrive at the time they said they would. There was some roof work that needed to be done and Eric had his roofer come out that very same day to get it fixed. Great communication and a huge plus for me when Eric said I would love to get this done today so I sent my family to go eat dinner and Eric got it done. I will definitely call back to have him redo my floors and any other jobs I might need done in the furture

These guys did an absolutely fantastic job. They took an old, run down room that looked really bad and made it look great. The room now has nice tile, a fresh coat of paint, new fixtures and an energy efficient window that I really love. I will definitely be using these guys again.

Eric and his team did outstanding work. We wanted custom built-ins to go into our study (cabinet lowers/shelf uppers) and they exceeded our expectations. The quality and craftsmanship shown in this project was phenomenal. We will absolutely use Distinguished Designs again in the future!

The remodel was great, Eric and his team were professional, considerate and did great work. Any issues were quickly remedied. The remodel was on an older home and the house had some underlying issues. All these concerns were handled very well. Would certainly use Distinguished Designs again.

Eric and his team were AMAZING! They were all knowledgeable on what needs to be done and the appropriate measures to take to fix the problems. He’s not only incredibly honest, he is a hard worker and daily got down and dirty working alongside his team to ensure they were doing exactly what he envisioned. Normally they say that you get what you pay for but in Eric’s case you definitely get more than you pay for! We’ve told everyone that will listen how wonderful this team is!

Eric and his crew were great. Communication was very good, they were on time, and they were very good about cleaning up after themselves every day. I have to say that I'm a very detailed (picky) client and it was great to have a GC that was as picky as I am. We had an issue with the adhesive on the wall panels and although it was acceptable, he decided to redo the panels at no additional cost because he felt they weren't up to his standard. It's rare to find contractors who take this much pride in their work. He will definitely be my first call for any additional work.

We needed re-do of a 1/2 bath. Process and outcome were both good. Eric and his crews did good work. They were easy to work with. Able and willing to deal with unexpected issues (eg damage from leaking window that didn't show until after project began), explain options and recommend best one. I contacted a prior client who had same positive experience for multiple, larger projects Eric has done. Not cheap, but good value, and you probably don't want cheap work done in your house if you plan on living there awhile. I would recommend use again myself.

Eric and his team did a great job with the replacement of failing structural beam in our garage that was holding up our second floor. His team had to raise our house more than 2 inches, install a new beam, replace the drywall, and repaint it all. All of these items were done with precision which is very important for a job like this. Will definitely use him again!

Eric Fowler with Distinguished Designs is excellent. He is highly detailed and responsive. I had a horrible experience with a contractor prior to working with Eric, and Eric and his crew saved my bathroom and my sanity. I would 100% recommend him.

Distinguished Designs is an incredible company! Eric Fowler is one of five (I made that up) honest, knowledgeable, creative, and organized contractors in the country. I don’t believe that you can do better than hiring him and his company! He can take a basic construction or remodeling idea and make it better; he can keep it within budget—but he isn’t free. Don’t expect him or his crews to work for free (you wouldn’t want to either), but you’re going to be very happy to pay for his results. His crews work hard and are honest (your stuff won’t mysteriously disappear while they’re on site). They clean up the worksite every day and try to minimize the effect of their work on your landscaping and your pets. This is my second project working with Eric and DD. Rest assured, if they hadn’t done great work on the first job (which didn’t involve my home), he NEVER would have been asked to rip all of the walls and roof off my house to replace them! Yes, I had to have my entire house re-sided and re-roofed. DD also added a huge carport (with attic) to my garage, remade my back porch, added gutters, and a bunch of new electrical outlets and light fixtures. It was a pretty extensive remodeling effort, and they did a fantastic job! I’m going to see if Eric and DD will remodel my master bath sometime in the next six months. I unhesitatingly recommend Eric Fowler and Distinguished Designs!!

Distinguished Designs did a excellent job with the work on our house. We were able to get a quote quickly with a detailed itemized list of costs. Work was started quickly after our agreement to the cost with care taken to protect carpets, floors, counters, etc. from dust and damage. The quality of work was excellent with the replaced ceiling drywall matching perfectly with the existing texture and paint color. Other parts of the job were also excellent with door frames being squared, sub floor being leveled, outside door jamb spliced and painted, and the installation of a kayak hoist in a high garage. The cost for the repairs was very reasonable and the workers and owner were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for work and will be using them in the near future for additional projects.

Eric was very responsive at all phases of the project. His crew did excellent work and left the area cleaner than when they started. His bid was the middle of the three submitted but provided a much more in depth solution to the needed repair. Would definitely use again.

From the onset, Eric was knowledeble and offered suggestions on design options based on our home's specific layout. He was available when we had any questions or concerns. The project turned out better than we could ever dream of. If you are looking for a respectful and talented contractor these are the guys for you. Eric and crew did an excellent job and we are very happy with the finished product. It took a little longer than planned but more our fault for adding scope after job started. All of his craftsman were exceptional and professional. They were punctual, showing up exactly when the days work was supposed to start. I've done several remodels and that's not always the case. We are planning to use Distinctive Design soon for a backyard patio project. I recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

We began by having Distingushed Designs remodel our master bathroom. Once walls were opened, they found several problems, which were addressed immediately. In each case, Eric Fowler showed us the problem, and gave us possible remedies and costs. Never once did his crew go ahead without us knowing what was happening. After that successful project, we contracted him to remodel the kitchen, fireplace, powder vanity and install iron balusters and wood treads and risers on two stairways, and tiling in secondary bathrooms. He also provided subcontractors for polishing the entry way, repointing brick, laying carpet, and repairing wood flooring. After comparing several companies, and seeing the quality of their work, we feel that Designs work is priced fairly, and that Eric Fowler’s knowledge of building techniques and his skills is exceptional.
